DogDoctorOfficial # Purple Haze by Zamnesia | Pheno B 🌱💜
## Germination Week | Another Chapter Begins
Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱
Welcome to another new journey.
As some of you may have noticed, I've recently adjusted the way I document my grows. With the current photo limitations on GrowDiaries, each phenotype now receives its own dedicated diary rather than sharing a single journal with its sisters.
This allows me to continue documenting every stage of development while selecting the best photographs from each week and keeping everything properly organized.
The goal remains exactly the same as always:
To create an honest, educational, and complete record from seed to harvest while sharing observations, successes, mistakes, lessons learned, and everything in between.
Today, we begin following Purple Haze Pheno B.
A sister to the previous phenotype, but with her own story still waiting to be written.
---
## A Classic Name Returns
Some cultivars need no introduction.
Purple Haze is one of those names that has echoed through cannabis culture for decades.
Whether through cultivation, history, music, or simple curiosity, it remains one of the most recognizable names in the community.
And while two seeds may come from the same package, every phenotype has its own personality waiting to emerge.
That is one of the reasons I enjoy documenting individual phenotypes.
The similarities are interesting.
The differences are often even more interesting.
For this run, we're following Purple Haze from Zamnesia Seeds, cultivated under a 12/12 from seed schedule from the very first day of life.
A method that is a little different from what most growers choose, but one that has become part of my own cultivation style over time.
Throughout this diary, I'll explain not only what I'm doing, but also why I'm doing it, allowing anyone interested to follow the process from beginning to end.
---
## Germination Using the Cannakan System
To begin this run, I once again used the Cannakan germination system.
The design is simple and practical.
Multiple cultivars can be germinated simultaneously while remaining separated, organized, and clearly labeled.
For growers working with several genetics at the same time, it becomes a very convenient way to keep everything under control.
The seed was placed inside using only plain water.
No nutrients.
No additives.
No stimulants.
Just water.
Within approximately 24 hours a healthy taproot had emerged and the seed was ready for the next stage.
Exactly what we hope to see from healthy, vigorous genetics.
---
## Why Only Water?
One question that often appears during germination is:
"Why not feed the seed immediately?"
The answer remains simple.
The seed already contains everything required for its first stage of life.
Inside that shell are the energy reserves needed to establish roots and begin development.
At this stage, I prefer allowing the seed to use those natural reserves exactly as intended.
The objective is not to feed the plant.
The objective is simply to wake it up.
Water is enough.
Nature has already done the hard work.
---
## First Experience Using Coco Starter Plugs
This run also marks my first experience using coco starter plugs.
The plugs were fully hydrated and then gently squeezed to remove excess moisture while maintaining a healthy balance between water retention and oxygen availability.
Once germinated, the seed was carefully inserted into the plug and placed inside a humidity dome.
The dome remained useful for only a short period.
Within less than 24 hours the seedling had already emerged and was ready to continue growing.
At that point, she was transplanted directly into a small container filled with Plagron Lightmix.
---
## Environmental Conditions
Environmental conditions remained intentionally simple and stable.
Temperatures stayed around 26–27°C.
Humidity was maintained between approximately 65–70% using a Spider Farmer humidifier.
Rather than keeping seedlings inside extremely humid conditions for extended periods, I prefer introducing them relatively early to the environment they will actually experience throughout their life cycle.
The goal is adaptation.
Not dependence.
Airflow remained extremely gentle.
Just enough movement to keep fresh air circulating without creating unnecessary stress.
---
## Lighting
Lighting during germination remained intentionally soft.
Young seedlings simply do not require intense light levels at this stage.
The goal is healthy establishment rather than rapid growth.
Once properly established, this girl will move under the Future Of Grow Black Series 600W full-spectrum LED system where the next stage of development begins.
For now, healthy roots and healthy growth remain the priorities.
---
## First Observations
Everything has progressed exactly as hoped so far.
Fast germination.
Healthy taproot.
Strong emergence.
Healthy color.
Good vigor.
And perhaps most importantly:
A healthy start.
At this stage every phenotype is still an unknown story waiting to reveal itself.
That mystery is part of what keeps growing exciting no matter how many seeds we plant.
---
## Looking Ahead
Over the coming weeks we'll follow Purple Haze Pheno B through every stage of development.
We'll document:
- Root establishment
- Early growth
- Environmental management
- Watering practices
- Structural development
- Flowering behavior
- And whatever unique characteristics this phenotype chooses to reveal
Because every seed begins with potential.
And every phenotype deserves the opportunity to tell its own story.
Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone following along for another seed-to-harvest adventure.

DogDoctorOfficial Purple Haze Auto by Zamnesia 💜🌱
Week 1 Vegetation | Quiet Confidence
Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱
Welcome back to another week in the garden.
Today we’re taking a closer look at Purple Haze Auto – Pheno B, the second representative of this legendary cultivar and a plant that, from the very beginning, seemed determined to remind me how much variation can exist even between sisters sharing exactly the same environment.
As always, the goal remains unchanged:
To document every stage honestly, share observations as they happen, and follow each phenotype individually from seed to harvest.
And while her sister showed a little more quirkiness during her first days above ground, Pheno B decided to take a slightly different approach.
She simply focused on growing.
⸻
The Same Foundation
Just like every plant in this project, Purple Haze B was transplanted directly into her final 15-liter container filled with Plagron Lightmix.
The entire run follows a 12/12-from-seed methodology, so minimizing root disturbance remains one of the priorities from the very beginning.
Rather than moving through multiple container sizes, each plant receives its final home immediately, allowing roots to establish naturally and continuously throughout the cycle.
The objective is simple:
Less interruption.
More momentum.
And during this first week, she appeared to settle in extremely well.
⸻
Environment
Environmental conditions remained stable throughout the week.
🌡️ Day Temperature: 27°C
🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C
💧 Humidity: 55%
🌱 Root Zone Temperature: 21°C
☁️ CO₂: Approximately 600 ppm
Lighting was provided by the Future Of Grow Black Series LED system delivering approximately 350 PPFD under a 12/12 light schedule.
Because the plants receive only twelve hours of light per day, total Daily Light Integral remains lower than what would normally be delivered under an 18/6 schedule, allowing seedlings to adapt comfortably to stronger light levels without excessive daily exposure.
Judging by her posture throughout the week, Purple Haze B seemed perfectly comfortable under those conditions.
⸻
Nutrition
The first irrigation consisted only of water, allowing the seedling to establish itself naturally within the substrate.
After several days, a gentle feeding schedule was introduced using:
• Plagron Terra Grow
• Plagron Power Roots
• Plagron Pure Zym
• Plagron Sugar Royal
All applied at light concentrations appropriate for young seedlings.
At this stage the objective remains root development, healthy establishment, and steady progression rather than aggressive growth.
Strong foundations first.
Rapid growth comes later.
⸻
First Week Observations
Purple Haze B had a very smooth first week.
From the earliest photographs she displayed healthy color, balanced growth, and a structure that became increasingly symmetrical as the days progressed.
What immediately stands out when comparing her to her sister is how uniform her development appears.
The leaves expanded evenly.
The internodes remained compact.
Growth stayed centered.
And every new set of leaves emerged looking increasingly organized and well-defined.
By the end of the week she had already developed beautiful three-finger leaves and displayed the classic seedling architecture growers love to see during early vegetative growth.
One of the things I enjoy most about documenting separate phenotypes is noticing these small differences.
Both sisters are healthy.
Both are vigorous.
Yet each one already expresses that vigor in its own way.
Pheno A carried a little more youthful unpredictability before finding her rhythm.
Pheno B simply arrived looking composed from the start.
Neither is better.
Just different.
And that’s exactly what makes phenotype hunting so enjoyable.
⸻
Looking Ahead
Week one was all about establishment, and Purple Haze B handled it beautifully.
Roots are expanding.
The plant is adapting to her final container.
Nutrition has begun.
Growth is accelerating.
And the foundation for the weeks ahead is now firmly in place.
While it’s still far too early to predict what characteristics she may express later in life, her first week suggests a healthy, balanced, and very promising plant.
Sometimes the loudest plants are not the ones that impress the most.
Sometimes it’s the quiet confidence of steady, consistent growth.
And that’s exactly what Purple Haze B delivered this week.
Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone following along on another seed-to-harvest adventure.

DogDoctorOfficial Week 2 - Purple Haze Pheno B 💜🌿
Hello everyone, and welcome back to another update from the 8×8 Adventure!
As always, this project follows individual phenotypes from seed to harvest under a 12/12-from-seed schedule, allowing us to document how each plant develops its own personality despite sharing the same genetics.
This week we’re checking in on Purple Haze Pheno B.
And while her sister may have stolen some attention with her near-perfect symmetry, this phenotype is quietly proving that she belongs in the conversation too.
⸻
Week 2 Overview
The room continues progressing beautifully as the plants settle into their final containers and establish themselves after transplant.
Environmental conditions remained stable throughout the week:
• Light Schedule: 12/12
• Day Temperature: 27°C
• Night Temperature: 25°C
• Relative Humidity: 55%
• Solution Temperature: 20.1°C
• Substrate Temperature: 21°C
• CO₂: Ambient (~600 ppm)
Lighting intensity was gradually increased to approximately 370 µmol/m²/s during the week.
Watering schedule:
• Day 8 – 250 ml
• Day 11 – 250 ml
Week-ending nutrient values:
• EC: 0.9 mS/cm
• pH: 6.0
Current feeding schedule:
• Terra Grow – 1.8 ml/L
• Pure Zym – 1 ml/L
• Power Roots – 1 ml/L
• Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L
Overall, the room continues responding extremely well to the current environment.
⸻
Living Next to a Superstar
Growing sibling phenotypes side by side can be both exciting and dangerous.
Exciting because you get to observe subtle differences.
Dangerous because comparisons become unavoidable.
Purple Haze Pheno A has been exceptionally symmetrical from the beginning, but that doesn’t make this phenotype any less impressive.
In fact, when viewed on her own merits, Purple Haze Pheno B is developing into a fantastic young plant.
Healthy.
Vigorous.
Well-structured.
And showing exactly the kind of growth you hope to see during this stage of development.
⸻
Thriving After Transplant
Like her sister, this phenotype appears to have settled comfortably into her new container.
The transplant process caused no visible setbacks.
Growth continued.
Leaves expanded.
The canopy widened.
And the plant immediately resumed pushing new development from the center.
That’s always encouraging to see.
A smooth transplant allows the plant to focus its energy on growth rather than recovery, and Purple Haze Pheno B appears to have taken full advantage of that opportunity.
⸻
Bird’s-Eye Beauty
Several photographs this week were captured from directly above the canopy.
These top-down perspectives provide one of the best ways to evaluate early structure.
And what they reveal is a plant that’s developing extremely well.
The node spacing remains compact.
The growth tips are healthy and active.
The canopy is opening nicely.
And every new set of leaves appears larger than the last.
The symmetry may not be quite as textbook-perfect as her sister’s, but the overall structure remains balanced, attractive, and highly functional.
Most importantly, she’s building exactly the type of framework needed for strong future growth.
⸻
Bigger Every Day
One thing that stands out throughout this week’s photo series is how quickly this plant is filling out.
The early leaves continue expanding while new growth emerges rapidly from the center.
This creates a plant that feels larger than its measurements alone might suggest.
Every new photograph shows a little more confidence.
A little more leaf mass.
A little more presence.
And that’s exactly what we want to see during this stage of the adventure.
⸻
Healthy Color, Healthy Growth
The foliage remains vibrant and healthy throughout the plant.
Leaf color is consistent.
Growth remains active.
And the plant continues displaying the rich green coloration associated with strong overall health.
There are no obvious signs of stress.
No signs of hesitation.
No indications that she’s struggling to keep pace.
Instead, she appears completely comfortable in her environment and eager to continue expanding.
⸻
Building Her Own Identity
One of my favorite aspects of growing multiple phenotypes is watching their personalities slowly emerge.
At this stage, the differences are still subtle.
But they’re there.
Purple Haze Pheno B may not mirror her sister perfectly, and that’s exactly what makes this process interesting.
The goal isn’t to find identical plants.
The goal is to discover how each phenotype chooses to express itself.
And every week adds another piece to that puzzle.
For now, what we’re seeing is a healthy, vigorous young plant building a strong foundation for the weeks ahead.
⸻
The Importance of Observation
This week’s photographs also captured some of the tools that help keep projects like this running smoothly:
• Calendar tracking
• Whiteboard notes
• Room monitoring
• Environmental observations
• Daily garden management
A successful garden isn’t built from memory alone.
Recording watering events, feeding schedules, transplant dates, observations, and environmental changes creates a history you can learn from later.
The more plants you manage, the more valuable that information becomes.
Good notes often become one of the most powerful tools a grower owns.
⸻
Mr. Baggy Report
Mr. Baggy was once again spotted performing routine inspections throughout the facility.
Responsibilities included:
• Plant morale supervision
• Environmental oversight
• Weekly photo assistance
• Security patrols
• Looking suspiciously productive while doing almost nothing
His employment remains secure.
⸻
Looking Ahead
Over the next week I expect to see:
• Continued canopy expansion
• Larger fan leaf development
• Increased stem thickness
• Strong root establishment
• Faster vegetative growth
• Further phenotype expression
The foundation is already looking strong, and if this momentum continues, Purple Haze Pheno B should become an impressive plant in her own right.
⸻
Final Thoughts
Week 2 has been another excellent week for Purple Haze Pheno B.
She loved the transplant.
The canopy continues expanding.
The foliage remains vibrant and healthy.
And the overall structure is developing beautifully.
Sometimes growing siblings side by side creates unfair comparisons.
But when I look at this plant, I don’t see a second-place phenotype.
I see a healthy young Purple Haze building her future one leaf at a time.
Strong.
Vigorous.
Beautiful.
And absolutely deserving of her own spotlight.
A huge thank you to everyone following along and supporting this project.
Special thanks to Zamnesia, Plagron, Future of Grow, and all partners helping make this adventure possible.
And as always, thank you to the community for joining me on this journey from seed to harvest.
Growers Love and see you all next week for another update from the 8×8 Adventure.

DogDoctorOfficial 🌱 Week 3 | Purple Haze Photo | Folder 6B | A Different Personality Emerges
Although Purple Haze 6B shares the same genetics, environment, nutrition, and cultivation method as her sister, she is already beginning to express her own unique growth pattern. This is precisely why each phenotype in Project Blue receives its own individual diary. Every plant has a story worth documenting, and comparing them side by side allows us to appreciate the subtle differences that make growing from seed such an exciting experience.
Like every plant in this project, Purple Haze 6B is being cultivated using the 12/12 From Seed technique. From germination onward, the plants receive a flowering photoperiod, encouraging compact growth while allowing each phenotype to naturally develop its own architecture before flowering fully takes over. It’s an unconventional approach, but one that consistently produces healthy, manageable plants while showcasing each phenotype’s individuality.
During this third week the plant settled comfortably into her new container and responded with a noticeable burst of vegetative growth. Looking back at the first photographs and comparing them to the final images of the week, the improvement is impressive. The canopy has expanded considerably, secondary branches are becoming increasingly active, and the plant is building the framework that will eventually support her flowers.
Growing Environment
As with every diary in this project, environmental stability remains one of the highest priorities.
Throughout the week the conditions remained consistent:
* Temperature: 27°C (lights on)
* Night Temperature: 25°C
* Relative Humidity: 55%
* Root Zone Temperature: 21°C
* Nutrient Solution Temperature: 20°C
* pH: 6.0
* EC: 1.3
* CO₂: approximately 666 ppm
* Photoperiod: 12 Hours On / 12 Hours Off
* Average PPFD: 600–700
Keeping these parameters stable allows the plants to focus their energy on producing healthy roots, vigorous stems, and continuous vegetative growth rather than constantly adapting to environmental changes.
Feeding Program
Purple Haze 6B continues receiving the complete Plagron Terra feeding schedule:
* Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L
* Power Roots — 1 ml/L
* Pure Zym — 1 ml/L
* Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L
At this stage I’m not chasing explosive growth. My objective is to establish an exceptionally healthy root system, maintain balanced nutrition, and encourage strong structural development before flowering begins in earnest.
Healthy foundations almost always produce healthier harvests.
A Bushier Growth Pattern
One characteristic that immediately stands out in this phenotype is her naturally bushy structure.
Rather than stretching vertically, she appears determined to produce numerous secondary shoots from every node. The lateral branches are developing rapidly and are already beginning to compete with the main stem for dominance, creating what should become a beautifully even canopy in the weeks ahead.
The fan leaves remain broad and healthy, showing excellent turgor with a rich green colour that suggests the feeding program is well balanced. New growth emerges bright green before gradually darkening as each leaf matures—a normal sign of vigorous development.
The stem is thickening steadily and every new internode is adding more potential flowering sites.
Gentle Canopy Management
As with the rest of the Project Blue plants, no aggressive training has been necessary.
Instead, I’ve continued using simple leaf tucking throughout the week.
Rather than removing healthy foliage, I gently reposition the larger fan leaves beneath neighboring branches, allowing more light to reach the developing side shoots hidden below.
This simple technique offers several advantages:
* Improves light penetration.
* Encourages stronger lateral branch development.
* Maintains maximum photosynthetic capacity.
* Eliminates unnecessary recovery time associated with defoliation.
At this stage every healthy fan leaf is an energy factory. My philosophy is to preserve as many of them as possible while simply helping the plant organize its own canopy.
Sometimes the simplest techniques deliver the best long-term results.
Looking Forward
Purple Haze 6B is developing into a wonderfully compact, vigorous phenotype with excellent branching and impressive canopy density. Every day she seems to produce another layer of healthy growth, and the structure she’s building now should provide an outstanding foundation for flowering.
It will be fascinating to compare her with Purple Haze 6A over the coming weeks. Although they started from the same seed line and have received identical treatment, they’re already beginning to reveal their individual personalities—one slightly more symmetrical, the other naturally bushier and eager to fill every available space.
Those subtle differences are one of the greatest joys of phenotype hunting, and documenting each one separately ensures that none of those unique traits are lost along the journey.
A huge thank you to Plagron, Zamnesia, GrowDiaries, and everyone following along with Project Blue. Mr. Baggy wandered through for another inspection this week and confidently declared that this young lady has absolutely no intention of growing quietly in the corner. Judging by her vigorous branching, I have a feeling he’s right.

DogDoctorOfficial 🍇 Purple Haze Photoperiod – Phenotype B | Week 4 (Vegetation)
The Bush That Wants Every Ray of Light
Week four belonged to Purple Haze B. While her sister is preparing for life on the AutoPot system, this girl is following a different path, remaining as a hand-watered control plant for what will become a very interesting side-by-side comparison later in the grow.
Even though they are sharing identical conditions, genetics, nutrients, and training philosophy, every phenotype writes its own story. That is exactly why I love phenotype hunting.
This one has chosen to become a compact jungle.
⸻
🌱 Week 4 Overview
What a transformation.
During the week she exploded sideways, filling every available space with healthy branches and fresh growth. Instead of stretching upward, she invested her energy into building a dense, symmetrical canopy that is becoming thicker every single day.
From above she already resembles a small green island.
Large solar-panel fan leaves overlap beautifully while dozens of vigorous shoots continue racing toward the light. Every new node appears healthy, evenly spaced and ready to become another flowering site once the transition begins.
The rich emerald color tells me everything is working together exactly as intended.
Sometimes the healthiest plants are the ones that simply don’t give you anything to complain about.
This is one of those.
⸻
🌿 12/12 From Seed
As with every plant in this project, Purple Haze B is being grown using my favorite 12/12 From Seed method.
The lighting schedule stays at 12 hours from germination until harvest, allowing the plant to naturally progress through its life without ever experiencing a traditional vegetative photoperiod.
The goal isn’t maximum size.
The goal is efficiency, fast turnaround, excellent quality, and discovering how each genetic expresses itself under these conditions.
Every phenotype reacts differently.
That’s exactly what makes this project so exciting.
⸻
🌱 Low Stress Training (LST)
This week’s training focused exclusively on Low Stress Training.
Rather than cutting or removing growth, branches are gently bent and positioned to create a flatter canopy.
Why?
Because every branch that receives equal light has the opportunity to become a productive flowering top.
LST offers several advantages:
• Improves light penetration throughout the canopy.
• Encourages multiple dominant tops instead of one main cola.
• Creates better airflow inside dense plants.
• Produces a more even canopy before flowering.
• Increases the number of quality bud sites.
Watching this little bush respond over the week has been incredibly satisfying. Every adjustment rewarded me with even more vigorous growth just a day or two later.
⸻
? Why This Plant Is Staying Hand Watered
Although she’s growing inside an AutoPot container, this phenotype is intentionally NOT connected to the AutoPot system yet.
She will serve as the comparison plant while her sister begins receiving gravity-fed irrigation.
Everything else remains identical:
• Same genetics.
• Same substrate.
• Same nutrients.
• Same environment.
• Same lighting.
The only real variable will be irrigation.
It should make for a fascinating comparison later in the grow.
⸻
💧 What Is an AutoPot?
The AutoPot system is a completely passive irrigation system that waters plants automatically without pumps, electricity or timers.
Instead, it relies on one beautifully simple principle:
Gravity.
A nutrient reservoir sits slightly higher than the pots, allowing nutrient solution to naturally flow toward the plants.
Each pot sits inside an AutoPot tray containing a very clever device called the AquaValve.
⸻
⚙️ The AquaValve
The AquaValve is the heart of the AutoPot system.
It works like a miniature mechanical valve that opens and closes entirely on its own.
Here’s how it works:
• The tray fills with nutrient solution.
• Once the plants drink everything available, the tray becomes empty.
• Only then does the AquaValve reopen.
• Fresh nutrient solution enters the tray.
• The cycle repeats automatically.
The result is a constant wet-and-dry rhythm without electronics, pumps or programming.
The roots decide when they are ready for another drink.
For me, that’s one of the smartest irrigation systems ever designed.
⸻
🌱 Current Feeding
This week the girls continued receiving the Plagron Terra program:
• Terra Grow – 1.8 ml/L
• Power Roots – 1 ml/L
• Pure Zym – 1 ml/L
• Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L
Solution maintained at:
* EC: 1.35
* pH: 6.1
The plants continue responding with lush, healthy foliage and vigorous new growth.
⸻
🌡️ Environment
Conditions remained stable throughout the week:
* 🌡️ Day temperature: 33°C
* 🌙 Night temperature: 25°C
* 💧 Relative humidity: 63%
* 🌱 Root zone temperature: 21°C
* 💦 Nutrient solution: 26°C
* 🌿 CO₂: 639 ppm
Even with the warmer daytime temperatures, the plants have shown excellent vigor, with no signs of nutrient stress or environmental fatigue.
⸻
📸 Final Thoughts
Purple Haze B is quickly becoming one of those plants that constantly catches my eye whenever I open the tent.
She isn’t trying to be the tallest.
She’s building something even more exciting—a thick, compact canopy packed with potential flowering sites.
In a few weeks we’ll discover whether the hand-watered approach can keep pace with her sister running on the AutoPot system.
Either way…
I’m pretty sure we’re all going to learn something.
And that’s exactly why we grow.
⸻

DogDoctorOfficial 💜 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B
Week 5 | Small in Height, Big in Character
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure!
One of my favourite parts of running a multi-phenotype hunt is watching each plant develop its own personality.
Today’s spotlight belongs to Purple Haze – Pheno B, a plant that may not be the tallest in the room but is certainly one of the fullest.
While her sister has been reaching for the sky with long internodes and elegant structure, this lady has chosen a completely different path.
She’s staying compact.
She’s staying bushy.
And she’s absolutely beautiful because of it.
⸻
🌱 The Journey So Far
For anyone joining this diary for the first time, welcome!
This entire project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed method.
Instead of allowing a traditional vegetative period, every seed was placed under a 12-hour light / 12-hour dark cycle from the very first day.
The objective is to compare how different genetics—and even different phenotypes from the same variety—express themselves when grown under identical conditions.
Every plant shares:
• The same environment
• The same lighting
• The same feeding schedule
• The same climate
• The same care
The only thing changing is the genetics.
Purple Haze Pheno B is another perfect reminder that even sisters can grow into completely different individuals.
⸻
🌿 A Compact Beauty
Standing at around 69 cm, she’s just slightly shorter than her sister, but the difference in structure is immediately noticeable.
Rather than stretching upwards, she’s invested her energy into building a dense, leafy canopy packed with healthy growth.
She’s become one of the bushiest plants in the room.
Every branch is surrounded by large, vibrant fan leaves that give the plant a full and vigorous appearance.
Instead of chasing height, she’s building substance.
It’s a completely different expression of the same genetics, and it’s fascinating to watch.
⸻
🍃 Leaf Tucking to Open the Canopy
With such dense growth, this week focused heavily on leaf tucking.
Instead of removing healthy foliage, large fan leaves were carefully repositioned to expose developing branches underneath.
This simple technique improves airflow while allowing more light to reach the future flowering sites without sacrificing valuable photosynthetic surface.
The result is a plant that remains lush and healthy while giving every branch the opportunity to develop.
Sometimes patience and gentle guidance achieve more than aggressive pruning.
⸻
🌸 The First Steps Into Flower
Although she’s a little behind some of the other ladies in the room, she’s now clearly entering that exciting transition between vegetative growth and flowering.
Fresh pistils are beginning to appear.
New growth has changed shape.
The tops are starting to build.
Whether we call it pre-flower or the very beginning of flower, the important part is that she’s moving forward beautifully.
There has never been any rush in this project.
Every phenotype follows its own pace, and that’s exactly what makes documenting each one so rewarding.
⸻
💧 Hand-Fed With Care
Unlike some of her neighbours, this Purple Haze is not growing in an AutoPot system.
Every watering is done by hand, allowing me to closely monitor her development and adjust as needed.
Current nutrition includes:
• Terra Grow
• Terra Bloom
• Pure Zym
• Sugar Royal
• Power Roots
• Power Buds
• pH adjustment for optimal nutrient availability
She’s responding very well to the feeding program, maintaining deep green foliage, healthy growth, and plenty of energy as she begins her flowering journey.
⸻
🌡️ Stable Conditions, Happy Plants
Like every plant in this room, Purple Haze Pheno B continues growing under carefully controlled environmental conditions.
Current grow room conditions include:
• Day temperature: 31.1°C
• Night temperature: 25°C
• Relative humidity: 72%
• Solution temperature: 24.2°C
• Root zone temperature: 21°C
• CO₂ concentration: 636 ppm
Maintaining consistent environmental conditions allows every phenotype to express its own natural characteristics without unnecessary external variables influencing the results.
⸻
📷 This Week’s Gallery
This week’s photographs really capture the personality of this phenotype.
The studio shots showcase her compact, rounded structure, while the close-ups reveal healthy new growth emerging from every corner of the canopy.
The overhead photographs make it easy to appreciate just how dense she’s becoming, with broad fan leaves creating a thick blanket of vibrant green.
The leaf-tucking work is also clearly visible, opening small windows of light throughout the plant and encouraging future flowering sites to develop evenly.
The room updates continue documenting the environment shared by all the ladies in this project, helping tell the complete story behind the grow.
⸻
🔮 Looking Ahead
The next couple of weeks should be incredibly interesting.
Now that she’s entering flower, I’m curious to see whether she’ll begin stretching like her sister or continue building this wonderfully compact architecture.
Either outcome would be exciting.
Right now, she’s developing exactly the way a healthy, vigorous plant should.
The foundations are there.
Now it’s time to see how she transforms them into flowers.
⸻

DogDoctorOfficial 💜 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B
Week 6 | Growing at Her Own Rhythm
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure!
One of the greatest lessons this project continues teaching me is that plants don't read calendars.
They don't know what week we're calling it.
They don't compare themselves to the plant growing beside them.
They simply follow the instructions written inside their own genetics.
Purple Haze Pheno B has become the perfect example of that philosophy.
While several of her sisters are rapidly building flowers, this beautiful lady has chosen a much more relaxed pace.
She's not behind.
She's simply growing at her own rhythm.
And she's doing it beautifully.
🌱 The Beauty of the 12/12 Adventure
For everyone joining this diary for the first time, welcome!
This entire project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed technique.
Every seed was placed directly under a 12-hour light and 12-hour dark cycle from germination, allowing each phenotype to express its natural growth pattern without a traditional vegetative period.
Every plant receives exactly the same opportunity.
The same lighting.
The same nutrition.
The same environment.
The same temperatures.
The same humidity.
The same daily attention.
The only thing changing...
...is the genetics.
And once again, genetics are telling a fascinating story.
🌿 Strength Before Speed
Standing at approximately 85 cm, Purple Haze Pheno B has developed into a wonderfully vigorous plant.
Her structure is strong.
Her branches are sturdy.
Her canopy remains full of healthy foliage.
Her colour is exactly what every grower hopes to see.
Deep green.
Lush.
Full of life.
What makes this phenotype unique isn't what she's doing...
It's what she's not doing.
Unlike some of the other ladies, she hasn't rushed into explosive flower production.
Instead, she continues investing energy into maintaining an incredibly healthy framework that will eventually support whatever comes next.
Sometimes nature prefers to build the foundation before decorating the house.
🌸 Flowering... One Step at a Time
If I compare this week's photographs with last week's, the difference isn't dramatic.
And that's perfectly okay.
Fresh pistils continue appearing across the plant.
The growing tips are slowly beginning to change shape.
Flower sites are forming.
But she's progressing at a noticeably gentler pace than many of the other phenotypes in the room.
Rather than worrying about that, I find it fascinating.
This is exactly why I wanted to document every phenotype separately.
Had these plants been growing individually, I might never have appreciated just how differently sisters can develop under identical conditions.
Purple Haze Pheno B is reminding me that flowering isn't a race.
Every genetic line follows its own timeline.
🍃 A Plant That Simply Looks Happy
Sometimes the easiest plants to grow are the ones that ask for very little.
This week there were no warning signs.
No deficiencies.
No excesses.
No signs of stress.
Just healthy leaves reaching toward the light and steady, consistent development.
Leaf tucking has once again been the primary training method, gently opening the canopy without removing valuable fan leaves.
This allows better airflow and improved light penetration while preserving the plant's natural ability to produce energy.
She's rewarding that gentle approach with vigorous, healthy growth.
💧 Feeding With Patience
Just because flowering is progressing slowly doesn't mean the plant needs to be forced.
The feeding program continues supporting the transition naturally while allowing the genetics to dictate the pace.
Current nutrition includes:
• Terra Bloom
• Power Buds
• Green Sensation
• Sugar Royal
• Pure Zym
• Careful pH adjustment for optimal nutrient uptake
Sometimes the best thing a grower can do is resist the temptation to chase faster growth.
Healthy plants know what they're doing.
Our job is simply to support them.
🌡️ Consistency Builds Confidence
Like every phenotype in this project, Purple Haze Pheno B continues benefiting from a carefully controlled environment.
Current grow room conditions include:
• Day temperature: 29°C
• Night temperature: 25°C
• Relative humidity: 60%
• Solution temperature: 24°C
• Root zone temperature: 21°C
• CO₂ concentration: 636 ppm
Providing the same stable environment week after week removes unnecessary variables, allowing every phenotype to reveal its own unique character.
And this lady certainly has plenty of character.
📷 This Week's Gallery
This week's photographs tell a quieter story, but an equally beautiful one.
The studio portraits showcase a wonderfully balanced plant with a dense canopy of healthy foliage and exceptional overall vigour.
The close-up images reveal fresh white pistils slowly emerging from each growing tip, subtle reminders that flowering is progressing, even if it's happening at a more measured pace.
Several photographs highlight the beautifully formed leaves and sturdy branching that have become defining characteristics of this phenotype.
Sometimes the biggest changes aren't dramatic.
Sometimes they're simply the quiet signs of a healthy plant confidently following its own path.
🔮 Looking Ahead
I'm genuinely curious to see what the next few weeks bring.
Will she suddenly accelerate and begin stacking flowers rapidly?
Or will she continue this calm, methodical approach all the way through bloom?
At this stage, either outcome would be exciting.
One thing already feels certain.
This phenotype refuses to be rushed.
She's growing exactly when she's ready.
And if experience has taught me anything...
It's that patient plants often surprise you later.
I'll happily let her write the next chapter in her own time.
💚 Thank You
Thank you so much for following another chapter of this 8×8 Adventure.
Projects like this constantly remind me that growing isn't about trying to make every plant behave the same way.
It's about understanding that every phenotype has its own personality, its own rhythm, and its own way of expressing the genetics it carries.
Purple Haze Pheno B may be taking the scenic route into flowering...
But she's making every step look effortless.
A huge thank you to:
💚 GrowDiaries for providing a place where growers from around the world can share knowledge, document their journeys, and inspire one another.
🌱 Zamnesia for providing the incredible genetics that make this phenotype hunt possible.
💜 Plagron for supplying the nutrition supporting these plants from seed to harvest.
💡 Future of Grow LED for delivering the light that powers every day of this adventure.
🌿 TrolMaster for maintaining the stable environment that allows each phenotype to express its true potential.
And finally, thank you to everyone following these diaries, leaving comments, asking questions, and sharing this incredible journey with me.
Every week reinforces the same lesson:
Great plants don't all grow at the same speed.
They simply grow when they're ready.
Growers Love... and Purple Haze Pheno B is proving that patience is sometimes the most beautiful phenotype of all. 💜🌿

DogDoctorOfficial 💜 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B
Week 7 | Strong Genetics, Beautiful Consistency
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure!
One of the most rewarding aspects of documenting every individual phenotype is seeing just how differently sisters can express the very same genetics.
Some stretch a little more.
Some flower a little faster.
Some develop slightly different branching patterns.
Yet every now and then, you find two sisters that seem to be following almost the same blueprint.
That's exactly what has happened with Purple Haze Pheno B.
She may not be quite as tall as her sister, but looking at them side by side, it's impossible not to appreciate how similar they are.
Strong structure.
Beautiful colour.
Healthy foliage.
Balanced branching.
To me, that's a wonderful sign of stable, well-selected genetics.
🌱 One Project. One Environment. Twelve Unique Stories.
If this is your first time following the diary, welcome!
This entire grow is part of my ongoing 8×8 Adventure, where twelve different cultivars are being grown together using the 12/12 From Seed technique.
From the very first day, every seed has received exactly the same opportunity.
• The same lighting schedule
• The same Plagron nutrition
• The same AutoPot irrigation system
• The same Future of Grow lighting
• The same TrolMaster-controlled environment
• The same temperatures
• The same humidity
No plant receives special treatment.
No individual feeding.
No different environmental conditions.
The only variable inside this room...
...is genetics.
Watching those genetics unfold week after week continues to be one of the most enjoyable parts of this entire project.
🌿 Healthy Plants Build Great Harvests
Purple Haze Pheno B continues to impress me with her overall health.
She carries herself with confidence.
Her leaves are broad, vibrant and beautifully green.
Every branch feels sturdy.
The canopy remains nicely balanced without becoming overcrowded.
She may not be the largest plant in the room, but she's certainly far from the smallest.
Instead, she's developing into a wonderfully proportioned plant that seems perfectly comfortable in her environment.
Sometimes growers become too focused on height.
Personally, I care much more about overall health.
Healthy roots.
Healthy leaves.
Healthy branches.
Everything else is built on that foundation.
And this lady is giving me every reason to smile.
🌸 The Flowers Continue Their Journey
Week 7 marks another important step in her flowering development.
Across every growing tip, fresh white pistils continue emerging from small clusters of calyxes.
Those white hairs, known as pistils, are the female reproductive organs of the flower.
Outdoors they exist to capture pollen.
Inside the grow room they become one of the clearest signs that flowering is progressing exactly as nature intended.
Beneath those pistils sit the calyxes.
Each tiny calyx is one of the individual building blocks that eventually forms the finished flower.
As the coming weeks unfold, more calyxes will develop, stack together and gradually swell, transforming these delicate flowering sites into the dense, resin-coated colas we're all hoping to see.
The foundation she's building now will determine the harvest she'll produce later.
🍃 Gentle Training, Natural Development
One thing I've continued throughout this grow is allowing the plant to keep as many healthy leaves as possible.
Rather than aggressively defoliating, I've relied mostly on careful leaf tucking to expose developing bud sites while allowing the plant to keep producing energy naturally.
Healthy fan leaves are incredibly valuable.
They're responsible for capturing light and converting it into the energy needed to build flowers.
When the canopy already has excellent airflow and good light penetration, there's often little reason to remove perfectly healthy foliage.
Sometimes the smartest thing we can do as growers is simply let the plant do what it evolved to do.
💧 Feeding for Flower Development
As flowering progresses, nutritional demands naturally begin shifting toward flower production.
This week's feeding schedule includes:
• Terra Bloom – 2 ml/L
Provides the phosphorus and potassium needed to support healthy flower development and continued growth.
• Power Buds – 1 ml/L
Helps encourage the plant to transition its energy toward producing more flowering sites.
• Green Sensation – 1 ml/L
A bloom enhancer designed to support flower density, resin production and overall plant performance during the later stages of flowering.
• Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L
Supports the plant's natural production of sugars and aromatic compounds that contribute to flavour and terpene development.
• Pure Zym – 1 ml/L
Contains enzymes that help break down dead root material, keeping the root zone healthy and improving nutrient availability.
• pH adjustment using pH Plus and Lemon Kick
Maintaining the correct pH ensures nutrients remain available for efficient uptake throughout the flowering cycle.
Every plant in the room receives this exact same feeding schedule, allowing each phenotype to respond according to its own genetics.
💡 Lumiflora Under-Canopy Lighting
Another exciting part of this project continues to be the Lumiflora under-canopy lighting.
Traditional grow lights naturally favour the upper canopy, leaving lower flowering sites with much less usable light once plants become dense.
Under-canopy lighting helps reduce that imbalance.
Its goal isn't to replace the main fixture.
It isn't a miracle product that suddenly doubles yields overnight.
Instead, it provides additional light to the lower parts of the plant, helping secondary flowering sites remain productive while reducing the need for excessive defoliation.
As the flowers continue developing over the coming weeks, I'm looking forward to seeing just how much difference this extra layer of illumination makes.
🌡️ A Stable Environment Makes Everything Easier
Like every plant in this room, Purple Haze Pheno B continues benefiting from stable environmental conditions.
Current grow room conditions include:
• Flower Week 7
• Height: 100 cm
• Day temperature: 29°C
• Night temperature: 25°C
• Relative humidity: 60%
• pH: 5.8
• EC: 1.95 mS/cm
• Solution temperature: 24°C
• Root zone temperature: 21°C
• CO₂ concentration: 636 ppm
Stable conditions allow the plants to dedicate their energy toward growing flowers instead of constantly adapting to environmental changes.
Consistency truly is one of the biggest advantages a grower can provide.
📷 This Week's Gallery
This week's photographs capture a phenotype that looks wonderfully comfortable in her environment.
The close-up images highlight healthy clusters of fresh white pistils emerging from every flowering site, while the wider photographs showcase her balanced branching and exceptionally healthy foliage.
Comparing her with her sister has been fascinating.
They're clearly individuals.
Yet they're also remarkably similar, which speaks volumes about the quality and stability of the Purple Haze genetics from Zamnesia.
Sometimes consistency is every bit as exciting as dramatic variation.
🔮 Looking Ahead
During the coming week I expect flowering to continue accelerating.
The stretch should gradually begin slowing, while the calyxes continue stacking and the first real signs of bud bulk begin appearing.
I'm also excited to continue observing the effect of the Lumiflora under-canopy lighting as the canopy fills out and lower flowering sites receive additional illumination.
If she continues growing the way she has so far, I expect another week of calm, healthy progress rather than explosive change.
And honestly...
I'm perfectly happy with that.
Healthy plants don't need to rush.
They simply keep improving one day at a time.
💚 Thank You
Thank you so much for following another chapter of this 8×8 Adventure.
Projects like this remind me every single week that growing isn't about forcing plants to become identical.
It's about giving every phenotype the same opportunity and appreciating the unique story each one chooses to tell.
Purple Haze Pheno B continues proving that healthy, balanced growth is something worth celebrating all on its own.
A huge thank you to:
💚 GrowDiaries for providing a platform where growers from around the world can document their journeys, learn from one another and build this incredible community.
🌱 Zamnesia for providing the outstanding Purple Haze genetics behind this phenotype hunt.
💜 Plagron for supplying the nutrition supporting every stage of this grow.
💡 Future of Grow LED for delivering the light powering this entire project.
🌿 TrolMaster for maintaining the stable environment that allows every phenotype to perform at its very best.
✨ Lumiflora for bringing an exciting new dimension to this grow through their innovative under-canopy lighting technology.
And finally...
Thank you to everyone following these diaries, leaving comments, asking questions and sharing this journey with me.
Every week these plants continue teaching me something new.

DogDoctorOfficial 💜 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B Week 8 | The Bush With Her Own Rhythm
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure!
Last week I talked about how remarkably similar the two Purple Haze sisters had been looking.
Well...
That story has changed. 😄
This week, Purple Haze Pheno B is making it very clear that she has her own personality.
While her sister has developed a different structure and expression, Pheno B has settled into something completely different:
She's a bush. 🌿💜
Compact.
Dense.
Lush.
Full of life.
And absolutely comfortable being exactly what she is.
This is one of the reasons I love growing multiple phenotypes from the same genetics. You can give two sisters exactly the same environment, exactly the same nutrition and exactly the same light...
And eventually, genetics starts whispering:
"Let me show you who I am."
And this girl is definitely talking.
🌱 One Project. One Environment. Twelve Unique Stories.
If you're new to the diary, welcome!
This plant is part of my ongoing 8×8 Adventure, where twelve different cultivars are being grown together using the 12/12 From Seed technique.
From the beginning, every plant has received the same opportunity:
• The same lighting schedule
• The same Plagron nutrition
• The same AutoPot irrigation system
• The same Future of Grow lighting
• The same TrolMaster-controlled environment
• The same temperatures
• The same humidity
No individual feeding.
No special environmental treatment.
No different light schedule.
The genetics are the variable.
And now, eight weeks into flowering, those genetic differences are becoming increasingly obvious.
That's the beauty of this project.
One environment. Twelve stories.
And Purple Haze Pheno B is writing hers in a very different handwriting from her sister.
🌿 The Compact Purple Haze
If I had to describe this phenotype in just a few words, I would say:
Compact. Bushy. Lush.
She's not trying to become the tallest plant in the room.
Instead, she's building herself outward.
Her branches are packed closely together, her foliage is abundant, and flowering sites are appearing throughout that dense structure.
Looking at her now, I can see why she has developed into such a compact plant.
There is simply a lot of plant packed into a relatively small space.
And I love it.
She has created her own little ecosystem.
Everywhere I look, there are leaves.
Behind those leaves, more branches.
And behind those branches...
flowers. 🌸
This is a phenotype that seems much more interested in building density than chasing height.
And that's perfectly fine with me.
🌸 Week 8 – The Flowers Are Taking Shape
The flowering sites are becoming much more established now.
The delicate little clusters from the earlier weeks have developed into recognizable young flowers, with pistils continuing to emerge from the developing calyxes.
There is still plenty of time for these flowers to swell and mature, but the direction is becoming very clear.
She's flowering.
She's stacking.
And she's doing it everywhere.
One thing that really stands out in the photographs this week is just how much healthy foliage surrounds the flowers.
The plant remains intensely green and full of vitality.
There is no shortage of leaves here.
In fact...
there may be a few too many. 😄
Which brings me to what's coming next.
✂️ The Defoliation Is Coming
Until now, I've deliberately allowed this girl to keep her healthy foliage.
I wanted to see how she developed naturally before deciding how much intervention she actually needed.
And I'm glad I waited.
Because now I can see exactly what I'm dealing with.
She's lush.
Very lush.
The canopy is becoming increasingly dense, and as flowering progresses, I want to make sure the developing flowers have enough space, airflow and light penetration.
So I believe next week will probably be the right moment for some selective defoliation.
Not a dramatic haircut.
Not stripping the plant bare.
Just a thoughtful cleanup.
Removing selected leaves that are:
• Blocking developing flowering sites
• Creating unnecessary layers of foliage
• Restricting airflow inside the bush
• Sitting in places where they provide little additional benefit
The goal isn't to change who she is.
The goal is to help her express what she's already built.
And honestly...
I think she's going to shine after it. ✨
🍃 Keeping the Plant Healthy
One thing I continue to appreciate about this phenotype is the overall quality of her foliage.
The leaves are broad, healthy and strongly developed.
The plant has maintained excellent colour and structure, and there are no major signs that she's struggling with the demands of flowering.
This is particularly important at this stage.
A plant can be large and impressive while still being stressed.
That's not what I'm seeing here.
Instead, she looks comfortable.
She's growing at her own speed.
She's building flowers at her own speed.
And she's maintaining her own balance.
That's exactly what I want to see.
💧 Feeding for Week 8
As flowering progresses, the feeding program continues to support the plant through this important period of flower development.
This week's Plagron feeding consists of:
• Terra Bloom – 2.2 ml/L
Supporting the nutritional demands of flowering and continued flower development.
• Power Buds – 1 ml/L
Supporting the transition and development of the flowering sites.
• Green Sensation – 1 ml/L
Providing additional support during the flowering phase as the flowers continue developing.
• Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L
Part of the flowering nutrition strategy supporting the plant as she progresses toward maturity.
• pH Plus – 0.03 ml/L
• Lemon Kick – 0.03 ml/L
Used as required to bring the nutrient solution into the desired pH range.
The current nutrient solution is sitting around EC 2.0 mS/cm, with a solution temperature of approximately 24°C.
And, as always...
every plant in this project receives the same recipe.
The phenotype decides how she responds.
💡 Light From Above and Below
The combination of the main Future of Grow lighting and the Lumiflora under-canopy lighting continues to be particularly interesting with this phenotype.
Because Pheno B has such a dense, bushy structure, the additional light lower in the canopy becomes especially relevant.
The upper canopy naturally receives the strongest illumination.
But with a plant this compact, there are flowering sites developing throughout the interior and lower portions of the structure.
The under-canopy lighting provides another layer of illumination in those areas.
Again, I'm not expecting miracles.
It's simply another tool in the ecosystem.
And as I selectively remove some of the excess foliage next week, I'm particularly curious to see how the combination of improved airflow, better visibility of the flowering sites and additional lower-canopy light affects her development.
🌡️ A Stable Environment
The room continues to provide a consistent environment for all twelve phenotypes.
Current conditions for this update:
• Flower Week: 8
• Height: 111 cm
• Light schedule: 12/12
• Day temperature: 20°C
• Night temperature: 25°C
• Relative humidity: 60%
• pH: approximately 6.0
• EC: approximately 2.0 mS/cm
• Solution temperature: 24°C
• Substrate temperature: 21°C
• CO₂: 636 ppm
• Watering: approximately 1.2 L per plant / 24h
• Pot size: 15 L
Note: the temperature values are recorded exactly as shown in this week's GrowDiaries data.
Consistency continues to be one of the most important parts of this experiment.
The environment stays consistent.
The feeding stays consistent.
The plants don't.
And that's exactly what we're here to observe.
📷 This Week's Gallery
This week's photographs really tell her story.
The wider shots show a plant that has become incredibly dense and compact, with foliage filling almost every available space.
The closer photographs reveal something even more interesting.
Behind that wall of leaves are flowering sites developing throughout the plant.
The pistils are fresh.
The flowers are forming.
And the resin production is already becoming visible across the developing structures and surrounding sugar leaves.
She's not trying to be her sister.
She's not trying to be the tallest.
She's not trying to follow the same path.
She's simply being Purple Haze Pheno B.
And I think that's beautiful.
🔮 Looking Ahead – Time to Let Her Shine
Next week may be an important little turning point for this girl.
After allowing her to develop naturally for so long, I think she's finally reaching the point where a selective defoliation will benefit the structure she's created.
I'll be looking for the leaves that are doing more blocking than contributing.
I'll open some of the interior.
I'll improve airflow.
I'll give those developing flowers a little more breathing room.
But I won't take away her personality.
That bushy structure is part of what makes this phenotype interesting.
The goal isn't to turn her into her sister.
The goal is to help this phenotype become the best version of herself.
And I have a feeling that once we open her up a little...
She's going to surprise us.
💜 Different Doesn't Mean Less
One of the biggest lessons from this 8×8 Adventure continues to be that there isn't just one definition of a great plant.
Purple Haze Pheno A and Purple Haze Pheno B may share the same genetics.
They may share the same room.
They may share the same nutrients, lights, irrigation and environmental conditions.
But they're telling different stories.
And that's exactly what makes phenotype hunting so fascinating.
Pheno B has chosen a different path.
She's compact.
She's dense.
She's incredibly lush.
She's building her own little world instead of reaching for the ceiling.
And honestly?
I'm loving her for it. 💜
Every phenotype deserves the opportunity to shine in its own way.
And next week, when we carefully open this beautiful bush and give those flowers a little more room to breathe...
I think we're going to see just how much potential has been hiding underneath all that green.
💚 Thank You
Thank you so much for following another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure.
This project continues to remind me that growing isn't about forcing plants to become identical.
It's about creating the right conditions...
Then stepping back and watching genetics tell its story.
A huge thank you to:
💚 GrowDiaries — for providing the platform where growers from around the world can document, share and learn together.
🌱 Zamnesia — for the Purple Haze genetics that are giving us these fascinating phenotype differences to explore.
💜 Plagron — for supplying the nutrition supporting the plants throughout this journey.
💡 Future of Grow LED — for providing the lighting powering this project.
🌿 TrolMaster — for helping maintain the stable environment shared by all twelve phenotypes.
✨ Lumiflora — for bringing the under-canopy lighting into this experiment and giving us another variable to observe.
And finally, thank you to everyone following these diaries, leaving comments, asking questions and enjoying this adventure with me.
Last week, I thought these two Purple Haze sisters were following almost the same blueprint.
This week, Pheno B looked at that blueprint and apparently said:
"Nah... I'm doing my own thing." 😂💜
And you know what?
That's exactly what I wanted to see.
Different phenotype.
Different rhythm.
Different story.
Same beautiful genetics.

DogDoctorOfficial 💜 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B Week 9 | The Frosty Little Bush
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚
Well...
I think we can officially stop asking what kind of plant Purple Haze Pheno B wants to be.
She's made her decision.
She's a bush. 😂💜
And she's a beautiful one.
While her sister has taken a completely different path, Pheno B continues to build herself outward, staying compact, dense and beautifully full.
But something has changed this week.
The flowers are starting to get seriously frosty.
And that's where this girl is becoming particularly interesting.
Because although she's still unmistakably the little bush of the Purple Haze family...
she's starting to show us another side of herself.
🌿 Still the Bush
If you've been following this phenotype from the beginning, you already know her personality.
She's compact.
She's dense.
She's lush.
She's not interested in chasing the ceiling.
She's perfectly happy building herself outward and filling the space around her.
And honestly, I really like it.
The more weeks we spend watching the two Purple Haze sisters develop under the same overall environment, the more obvious their differences become.
Same genetics.
Same room.
Same general conditions.
Same lighting philosophy.
Same feeding strategy.
But completely different expressions.
Her sister has developed her own architecture.
Pheno B has looked at all of that and apparently decided:
"No thanks. I'm staying a bush." 😂
And that's exactly what makes this phenotype hunt so fascinating.
💜 Something Is Happening With the Frost
The biggest thing catching my attention this week isn't her height.
It isn't her structure.
We already know those things.
It's the frost.
The resin production is becoming increasingly visible across the developing flowers, and the change feels much more noticeable compared with where she was only a short time ago.
She's starting to sparkle.
And she's doing it quickly.
That's probably what surprised me most.
For a phenotype that has been moving at her own rhythm, the speed at which she's now developing this frosty appearance is really interesting to watch.
The flowers are becoming more defined.
The sugar leaves are beginning to carry that beautiful crystalline appearance.
And suddenly the whole plant has another layer of character.
The bush is getting frosty. 💜❄️
🌸 The Flowers Are Finding Their Identity
The flower sites continue developing throughout that compact structure.
There's still a lot of green surrounding them, but the flowers themselves are becoming increasingly easy to distinguish.
Fresh pistils continue emerging.
The calyxes are becoming more noticeable.
And now the resin is joining the party.
This is one of my favourite stages to document because you can actually see the plant changing from week to week.
It's no longer simply:
"Here are some flowering sites."
It's becoming:
"Okay... now we're starting to see what these flowers are going to become."
And with Pheno B, that process is happening throughout her little bush.
🍃 Lush, Green & Completely Herself
The foliage remains one of the strongest characteristics of this phenotype.
She's still carrying that beautiful green colour and an enormous amount of healthy-looking foliage.
Even though the flowers are becoming more prominent, the plant hasn't lost her identity.
She's still that compact, leafy Purple Haze.
Still dense.
Still bushy.
Still doing things her own way.
And that's something I really appreciate about this project.
We're not trying to make every phenotype behave identically.
We're watching them reveal themselves.
Pheno B has already revealed quite a lot.
And I'm enjoying every chapter.
👭 Two Sisters, Two Completely Different Stories
This comparison is becoming more and more fun.
When we first started watching these two Purple Haze phenotypes, there were plenty of similarities.
Now?
Not so much. 😂
Pheno A: elegant, balanced, beautifully proportioned.
Pheno B: compact, dense, bushy and increasingly frosty.
Same genetic name.
Different architecture.
Different personality.
Different expression.
And that's exactly what phenotype hunting is all about.
If anything, the longer this run continues, the more convinced I become that growing multiple plants from the same genetic line is incredibly valuable.
You don't just get a plant.
You get a conversation between genetics and environment.
And these two sisters are having a very interesting conversation.
💡 Light From Above & Below
The lighting ecosystem continues to support the entire room as the plants move deeper into flowering.
With Pheno B's compact structure, it's particularly interesting to watch how the flowers develop throughout the dense architecture rather than simply focusing on the tallest points.
The additional lighting within the lower canopy remains part of the experiment, and I'm enjoying documenting how the flowers across different levels of this little bush continue developing.
One thing is becoming increasingly obvious:
there's a lot happening inside this plant.
She's small compared with some of the taller girls.
But she's certainly not empty.
There's a lot of flower packed into that structure.
💧 Consistency Continues
As with the rest of the 8×8 Adventure, Pheno B continues under the same overall flowering nutrition strategy.
The current program remains:
🌱 Terra Bloom – 2.2 ml/L
🌱 Power Buds – 1 ml/L
🌱 Green Sensation – 1 ml/L
🌱 Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L
⚗️ pH adjustment products as required
The nutrient solution remains around EC 2.0 mS/cm, with pH around 6.0.
No special recipe.
No special treatment.
She's simply responding in her own way.
And that's the part I find most interesting.
🌡️ The Environment
The current recorded conditions for Week 9 are:
🌸 Flower Week: 9
📏 Height: 111 cm
💡 Light schedule: 12/12
🌡️ Day temperature: 20°C
🌙 Night temperature: 25°C
💧 Relative humidity: 60%
⚗️ pH: 6.0
⚡ EC: approximately 2.0 mS/cm
💦 Solution temperature: 25°C
🌱 Substrate temperature: 26°C
🌬️ CO₂: 636 ppm
? Pot size: 15 L
💧 Watering: approximately 1.2 L per plant / 24h
The room continues providing the same overall ecosystem, while each phenotype continues interpreting it differently.
And Pheno B?
She's interpreting it as:
"Build a bush. Then cover it in frost." 😂💜
📸 The Camera Loves This Girl
This is another phenotype that rewards getting close.
From a distance, you see the bush.
You see the structure.
You see the density.
But move closer...
And suddenly everything changes.
You start seeing the individual flowers.
The white pistils.
The developing calyxes.
The sugar leaves.
And now, increasingly, those beautiful resin-covered surfaces.
That's what makes documenting this project so enjoyable.
A plant can look completely different depending on how closely you observe it.
The wide photograph tells one story.
The flower photograph tells another.
And the macro tells you there's an entire universe happening inside that little flower.
Purple Haze Pheno B is giving us plenty to photograph.
🔮 Looking Ahead
And now I'm genuinely curious about the next chapter.
Because I think we're reaching an interesting point with this girl.
She's still the bush.
She's still compact.
She's still completely different from her sister.
But the flowers are changing.
The frost is increasing.
The structure is becoming more defined.
And her development seems to be accelerating compared with what we've seen from her previously.
So I'm going to keep watching.
Keep documenting.
Keep photographing.
And most importantly...
let her continue being herself.
Because whatever she decides to become, she clearly isn't interested in following anybody else's blueprint.
💜 The Frosty Bush
Every phenotype in this room has given me something different to appreciate.
Some have been challenging.
Some have been demanding.
Some have been incredibly fast.
Some have taken their time.
And Purple Haze Pheno B?
She's given me the bush. 😂🌿
But now she's adding something new to that identity.
She's becoming the frosty bush. 💜❄️
And I have to admit...
I like that version even more.
She's compact.
She's lush.
She's beautifully green.
She's structurally interesting.
Her flowers are developing.
And the resin is beginning to become one of her defining characteristics.
She doesn't need to become her sister.
She doesn't need to become the tallest plant in the room.
She doesn't need to change who she is.
She just needs to keep being Pheno B.
And right now...
she's doing that beautifully.
🙏 Thank You
Another week, another little piece of the 8×8 Adventure puzzle falls into place.
This project continues to show me that genetics can take the exact same environment and turn it into completely different stories.
And these Purple Haze sisters are becoming one of my favourite examples.
One elegant.
One bushy.
One beautifully balanced.
One increasingly frosty.
Two sisters.
Two personalities.
And two plants I absolutely love watching develop.
A huge thank you to:
💚 GrowDiaries — for giving growers a place to document, share and learn together.
🌱 Zamnesia — for providing the genetics behind this fascinating phenotype hunt.
💜 Plagron — for the nutrition supporting the project.
💡 Future of Grow LED — for the lighting powering the room.
🌿 TrolMaster — for helping maintain the controlled environment behind the scenes.
✨ LumiFlora — for the additional lighting helping us observe flowering throughout the canopy.
And, of course, thank you to everyone following along, commenting, asking questions and enjoying this adventure with me.
Purple Haze Pheno B may still be the bush.
But now she's becoming a frosty bush. 💜❄️🌿
And something tells me...
this little girl may have a few more surprises waiting for us.
Let's keep watching.
Let's keep documenting.
And let's keep letting every phenotype tell her own story.
Growers Love, my friends, and happy growing! 🌱💜

DogDoctorOfficial 💜 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B
Week 10 | The Frosty Little Bush Is Turning Up the Heat ❄️🔥
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚
Well...
Her sister is moving fast.
But Purple Haze Pheno B?
She's moving fast in a completely different direction. 😂💜
She's still small.
She's still compact.
She's still unmistakably the little bush of the Purple Haze family.
But now...
she's becoming absolutely covered in frost. ❄️❄️❄️
And I'm not exaggerating when I say that the level of visible resin development on this girl is becoming something really special to look at.
The buds.
The sugar leaves.
The surrounding plant structure.
Everywhere I look, there seems to be another little sparkle waiting for the camera.
She's been doing her thing since the beginning.
She never tried to become her sister.
She never tried to stretch toward the ceiling.
She never tried to change her personality.
She simply built her little compact world...
and now she's starting to cover that world in trichomes.
And honestly?
I really like where she's going. 💜🔥
🌿 Still the Little Bush
Let's start with the obvious.
She's still small.
She's still compact.
She's still dense.
She's still completely herself.
At around 111 cm, Purple Haze Pheno B remains dramatically different from many of the taller girls in the room.
And I love that.
Because by now, we've had enough time watching her to understand that this isn't some temporary phase.
This is her architecture.
This is how she grows.
This is how she expresses herself.
She's not trying to become a giant.
She's building outward.
She's filling her space.
She's creating flowering sites throughout that compact structure.
And now those flowers are becoming increasingly interesting.
The little bush is growing up. 💜🌿
❄️ The Frost Is Becoming the Story
Last week, I said she was becoming the frosty bush.
This week...
I think we need to upgrade the title.
😂❄️
Because the frost is no longer just something you notice when you get close.
It's becoming one of the defining characteristics of this phenotype.
The flowers are developing more resin.
The sugar leaves are carrying more visible trichomes.
And everywhere the camera finds the right angle, there's another little sparkle.
This is one of those moments where you start wondering:
"How much more can this girl possibly produce?"
And I honestly don't know.
That's what makes watching her so much fun.
We're still not at the finish line.
We're still watching the plant develop.
So if she's already looking like this now...
I'm extremely curious about what the next chapters are going to bring.
💜 Trichomes Everywhere
And this is probably my favourite observation this week.
She's putting those little crystals everywhere.
The buds are becoming increasingly frosty.
The sugar leaves are sparkling.
Even the surrounding structures are beginning to catch that beautiful resin-covered appearance.
You move the camera slightly...
another patch.
Another angle...
more frost.
A little closer...
even more.
😂📸❄️
This is exactly why I love getting the macro lens involved in this project.
From across the room, she's a small, compact flowering plant.
Through the camera?
She's an entire landscape of tiny structures, pistils and resin.
And Purple Haze Pheno B is giving us one hell of a landscape this week.
🌸 The Flowers Are Moving Faster Now
There's another change I'm noticing.
She's starting to move.
Not physically, obviously. 😂
Her development.
The flowers seem to be progressing more quickly now, and compared with the slower pace we've seen earlier in her journey, there's a noticeable sense of momentum.
The flowers are becoming more defined.
The structure is becoming fuller.
The resin is increasing.
And the whole plant seems to be gradually shifting into another phase of flowering development.
This is something I really enjoy seeing.
Because the plant hasn't suddenly become something different.
She's simply accelerated.
She's still Pheno B.
She's just saying:
"Okay... now I'm ready to show you a little more." 💜🌸
And I'm listening.
👭 Two Sisters — Two Different Ways of Moving Fast
This is where the comparison with Pheno A becomes particularly fun.
Her sister is also moving quickly.
But she's doing it in a very different way.
Purple Haze Pheno A has that balanced, elegant structure.
She's building impressive flowers.
She's stacking.
She's developing beautifully.
And now she's really starting to look like she's on fire.
Pheno B?
She's taking the opposite route.
She's compact.
She's dense.
She's staying low.
And she's basically saying:
"Fine. If I'm not going to be the biggest, I'll just cover myself in frost."
😂💜❄️
And honestly...
that's a pretty good strategy.
Two sisters.
Same genetic line.
Same room.
Same general environment.
Same 12/12 schedule.
And yet...
two completely different stories.
That's phenotype hunting.
And I absolutely love it.
🌿 She's Still Doing Things Her Way
One of the things I respect most about this girl is her consistency.
From the beginning, she's been herself.
She didn't suddenly change personality.
She didn't suddenly decide she wanted to become a tall plant.
She didn't suddenly start reaching for something she wasn't built for.
She simply continued doing what she was doing.
And now we're seeing the result of that consistency.
A compact plant.
A dense structure.
Beautiful flowers.
And increasingly impressive resin development.
She's not trying to copy anybody.
She's not competing with her sister.
She's simply doing her thing.
And apparently...
her thing is frost. 😂❄️💜
💡 Same Room. Different Expression.
This is one of the biggest reasons I enjoy this 8×8 Adventure so much.
We're not giving each phenotype a completely different world.
They're sharing the same overall environment.
The same lighting philosophy.
The same irrigation system.
The same general nutrition strategy.
The same 12/12 flowering schedule.
And then we stand back...
and watch genetics do their thing.
One girl stretches.
Another stays compact.
One demands more.
Another asks for almost nothing.
One becomes extremely aromatic.
Another becomes incredibly frosty.
And Purple Haze Pheno B is making her own argument.
She's showing us just how different two expressions can become while growing beside each other.
📸 Another Dangerous Week for the Camera
I think I've mentioned this before...
but plants like this are dangerous for photographers. 😂
You think you're going to take a couple of photographs.
Then you see the frost.
So you move closer.
Then you see more detail.
So you move closer again.
Then suddenly you're photographing one tiny flower from every possible angle.
😂📸💜
And with this girl, it's particularly addictive.
Her compact structure gives you so many little places to explore.
The flowers are everywhere.
The resin is becoming increasingly obvious.
The contrast between the green foliage and the developing flowers is beautiful.
And the closer you get...
the more she reveals.
That's one of the reasons I love documenting the plants this way.
The camera doesn't just record the plant.
Sometimes it makes you notice things you would otherwise walk straight past.
💜 Small Plant. Big Personality.
This girl is a perfect example of why size isn't everything.
She's around 111 cm.
She's nowhere near the tallest girl in the room.
But she has personality.
A lot of it.
😂💜
She's compact.
She's dense.
She's lush.
She's developing beautiful flowers.
She's increasingly frosty.
And now she's starting to pick up speed.
That's a pretty impressive little package.
She doesn't need to fill the entire tent to make an impression.
She's filling her own space beautifully.
And that's enough.
⚗️ Feeding & Consistency
The overall flowering nutrition strategy remains consistent:
🌱 Plagron Terra Bloom – 2.2 ml/L
🌱 Power Buds – 1 ml/L
🌱 Green Sensation – 1 ml/L
🌱 Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L
⚗️ pH adjustment as required
The nutrient solution remains around:
⚗️ pH – 6.0
⚡ EC – approximately 2.0 mS/cm
And once again, the important thing for this diary is the consistency.
We're watching the response.
We're documenting the progression.
We're not trying to force Pheno B into becoming Pheno A.
She's already showing us what she wants to be.
And right now...
she wants to be a little frosty monster. 😂❄️💜
🌡️ The Environment
The current recorded conditions remain:
🌸 Flower Week: 10
📏 Height: 111 cm
💡 Light schedule: 12/12
🌡️ Day temperature: 29.9°C
🌙 Night temperature: 25°C
💧 Relative humidity: 60%
⚗️ pH: 6.0
⚡ EC: approximately 2.0 mS/cm
💦 Solution temperature: 25°C
🌱 Substrate temperature: 26°C
💨 CO₂: 636 ppm
? Pot size: 15 L
💧 Watering: approximately 1.2 L/plant/24h
The room continues along the same general path.
And Pheno B continues showing us her own interpretation of it.
🌸 The Buds Are Getting Serious
There's a point in flowering where the flowers stop looking like little flowering sites and start looking like real flowers.
I think we're getting there with this girl.
The bud structures are becoming more obvious.
They're gaining presence.
They're becoming increasingly covered in resin.
And because she's so compact, those flowers seem to be packed throughout the plant.
It's a very different visual experience from looking at one of the taller phenotypes.
With those girls, your eyes travel up the plant.
With Pheno B...
your eyes travel through it.
Flower after flower.
Branch after branch.
Little pockets of development everywhere.
And now...
frost everywhere too.
🔍 What I'm Watching Now
At this point, I'm particularly interested in watching three things.
❄️ The resin
How much further will the trichome development go?
Because she's already giving us a serious show.
🌸 The flower development
How much more will those compact flowers build?
They're already becoming increasingly substantial, but there's still plenty of time.
🚀 The pace
Will this acceleration continue?
That's the interesting question.
She's clearly moving faster than she was.
But is this just a normal transition into a more active flowering phase?
Or is Pheno B going to continue surprising us?
I don't know.
And I'm perfectly happy not knowing yet.
That's why we're documenting the journey.
💜 The Frosty Little Bush Is Growing Up
There is something really satisfying about seeing this girl evolve.
Early on:
"She's the bush."
Then:
"She's the frosty bush."
And now:
"Wait... she's actually moving pretty quickly."
😂💜❄️
She's still the same girl.
But she's entering another chapter.
Her flowers are becoming more mature-looking.
Her resin is becoming more obvious.
Her development is accelerating.
And suddenly the little bush that seemed happy to take her time is starting to show us some serious momentum.
I like it.
I like it a lot.
👑 Is She Coming for the Crown?
Now...
we have a problem.
😂👑
Because every week I think:
"Okay, this one has her own special thing."
And then another girl starts doing something ridiculous.
Purple Haze Pheno A is stacking beautifully.
Pheno B is becoming incredibly frosty.
Other girls in the room have their own stories.
And somehow...
everybody still has a crown.
For now.
👑👑👑
But I'm starting to think we're going to need a bigger trophy cabinet by the time this adventure is finished.
😂
Pheno B may not be the tallest.
She may not be the biggest.
But if the competition is frost...
she's certainly making her application very clear.
🔮 Looking Ahead
We're still not at the finish line.
Not even close.
So I'm not going to start making predictions about where she will ultimately end up.
Instead, I'm going to enjoy the next few weeks.
Watch the flowers.
Watch the resin.
Watch the structure.
Watch the colour.
And see whether this little bush continues accelerating.
Because right now...
she's giving us plenty of reasons to keep the camera ready.
And I have absolutely no intention of putting it away.
😂📸💜
💜 Let Her Shine
So here we are.
Purple Haze Pheno B – Week 10.
Still compact.
Still dense.
Still beautiful.
Still completely herself.
But now...
frosty as hell. 😂❄️💜
She's building flowers.
She's developing trichomes.
She's becoming increasingly defined.
She's starting to move faster.
And she's doing everything in her own particular style.
Her sister may be moving quickly too...
but in a completely different direction.
And that's what makes this so much fun.
One sister is elegant and fast.
The other is compact and increasingly covered in frost.
Two phenotypes.
Two personalities.
Two completely different interpretations of the same environment.
And I wouldn't change a thing.
For now, the crowns remain distributed across the room. 👑
But Purple Haze Pheno B?
She's definitely polishing hers.
❄️💜👑
Let's see where this little girl takes us.
Because wherever she's going...
I like it.
🙏 Thank You
Another week.
Another chapter.
Another reminder that plants have their own plans.
A huge thank you to GrowDiaries for giving us a place to document these journeys, compare experiences and learn from one another.
Thank you to Zamnesia for the Purple Haze genetics and for giving us these two completely different sisters to follow.
Thank you to Plagron for the nutrition supporting the garden.
Thank you to Future of Grow LED for keeping the photons flying.
Thank you to LumiFlora for helping illuminate the deeper areas of the canopy.
Thank you to TrolMaster for helping keep the environment consistent behind the scenes.
And, of course...
thank you to everyone following the 8×8 Adventure.
Every comment.
Every question.
Every observation.
Every person who stops by to see what the girls are doing this week...
thank you. 💚
This project continues to be an incredible journey.
And Purple Haze Pheno B is giving us one of the most entertaining stories in the room.
She started as the little bush.
Then she became the frosty bush.
And now?
She's becoming the fast-moving, frost-covered little bush. 😂💜❄️
She's doing her thing.
Just like she has from the beginning.
And honestly...
I wouldn't want her any other way.
Let's keep watching.
Let's keep photographing.
Let's keep documenting.
And most importantly...
let's let this girl shine. 💜❄️👑

DogDoctorOfficial 💜 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B
Week 11 | The Little Frosty Queen Is Starting to Fill Out ❄️💜👑
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚
And our little Purple Haze Pheno B...
She's still not in a hurry.
😂💜
But she's moving.
And honestly?
That's enough.
Because when I look at her this week, I don't see a plant that's standing still.
I see a plant that's slowly, steadily, beautifully building herself.
She's still one of the smaller girls in the room.
She's still compact.
She's still very different from her sister.
She's still doing everything in her own particular rhythm.
But now...
I'm starting to see something I really like.
She's getting fatter.
👀💜🌸
The flowers are beginning to gain more structure.
The plant is starting to look more substantial.
And that beautiful frost that has been one of her defining characteristics?
Still absolutely everywhere.
❄️❄️❄️
So this week...
let's give our little Frosty Queen the spotlight again.
Because she deserves it.
────────────────────────
🌱 WEEK 11 – MOVING FORWARD, HER WAY
────────────────────────
Last week we talked about how she wasn't exactly moving fast.
And honestly...
that hasn't suddenly changed.
😂
She's not going to wake up tomorrow and decide:
"Right, boys and girls, I'm going to catch up with everybody."
That's not her personality.
She's moving at her own pace.
But she's moving.
And that's the important part.
The flowers are developing.
The structure is becoming more obvious.
The buds are starting to gain some additional size.
And the overall plant is slowly becoming more substantial.
She's not exploding.
She's not racing.
She's simply progressing.
One little step at a time.
And I actually really enjoy watching that.
Because not every plant needs to be dramatic.
Some plants tell their story quietly.
And this girl?
She's definitely a quiet storyteller.
💜🌿
────────────────────────
🍑 THE LITTLE BUSH IS STARTING TO GET FATTER
────────────────────────
Okay...
THIS is the part I'm particularly happy about this week.
She's starting to fill out.
😂🌸
When you look at her structure now, there's a little more substance developing around those flowering sites.
The flowers are becoming more defined.
They're beginning to gain some volume.
And the plant is starting to look less like a collection of individual flowering points...
and more like a flowering plant with an actual structure developing around them.
That's a really nice transition to watch.
Because earlier in the run, so much of her identity was:
"She's small."
"She's compact."
"She's the little bush."
And she still is.
But now we're starting to add another description:
She's the little bush...
that is beginning to fill out.
👑💜🌸
And I like that very much.
────────────────────────
❄️ STILL SUPER FROSTY
────────────────────────
And then...
there's the frost.
😂❄️
This girl has absolutely not forgotten what she's good at.
She remains one of the most visually frosty phenotypes in this room.
The trichomes continue to give the flowers and surrounding sugar leaves that beautiful sparkling appearance.
And the closer you look...
the more there is to see.
It's almost funny.
She may not be the largest plant.
She may not have the biggest flowers.
She may not be moving at the fastest pace.
But then you put the camera on her...
and suddenly:
"Whoa."
😂📸❄️
There she is.
The little Frost Queen.
And that's something I really love about phenotype hunting.
A plant doesn't have to dominate the room in size to stand out.
Sometimes one particular characteristic becomes so strong that it creates an entirely different identity.
And with this girl...
that frost is definitely part of her identity.
────────────────────────
👭 TWO SISTERS – COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORIES
────────────────────────
This is where Purple Haze Pheno B becomes especially interesting.
Because her sister...
Purple Haze Pheno A...
is moving quickly.
She's stacking.
She's developing.
She's got that "don't blink" energy.
😂🔥💜
And Pheno B?
She's looking at her sister and saying:
"Good for you."
😂
"I'll get there when I'm ready."
And honestly...
I love it.
Same genetic line.
Same room.
Same lighting.
Same general environment.
Same 12/12 schedule.
Same nutritional foundation.
And yet...
completely different plants.
Pheno A has her own expression.
Pheno B has hers.
One is giving us speed.
The other is giving us compact structure and frost.
And neither one needs to become the other.
That's exactly what makes this experiment so interesting.
────────────────────────
🌿 VERY DIFFERENT – AND THAT'S THE POINT
────────────────────────
Sometimes people hear "same genetics" and expect the plants to look almost identical.
But that's not what we're seeing here.
Not even close.
These two girls share their genetic family...
but they've expressed themselves very differently.
Pheno A has that more balanced, fast-moving flowering architecture.
Pheno B is shorter.
More compact.
Denser in her own way.
And increasingly defined by that heavy frost.
Looking at them side by side is almost like looking at two different interpretations of the same idea.
Same genetic language.
Different accent.
😂💜
And that's why I love having both of them in the same 8×8.
The room becomes the constant.
The genetics become the variable.
And the plants tell us the rest.
────────────────────────
🌸 THE STRUCTURE IS STARTING TO SPEAK
────────────────────────
This is probably the other big observation for me this week.
Her structure is becoming easier to read.
Earlier, there were plenty of little flowering sites.
Now we're beginning to see how those sites relate to one another.
The flowers are starting to occupy the structure more clearly.
They're becoming more substantial.
And the plant is beginning to show us what that compact architecture is going to look like as flowering progresses.
She's not stretching dramatically.
She's not trying to create huge vertical distances.
She's building within the space she has.
And I think that's beautiful.
She's making her own little world.
Compact.
Dense.
Frosty.
And increasingly full.
💜🌿🌸
────────────────────────
🚶♀️ SLOW DOESN'T MEAN NOTHING IS HAPPENING
────────────────────────
This is something I want to emphasize because it's easy to look at a slower plant and think:
"She's not doing much."
But look closer.
She's changing.
The flowers are developing.
The structure is becoming clearer.
The buds are gaining volume.
The resin remains extremely visible.
The plant is continuing to work.
She's simply not doing it at the same speed as some of her neighbours.
And that's okay.
Actually...
it's fascinating.
Because the 8×8 Adventure isn't about making every plant race toward the same finish line.
It's about watching how each plant gets there.
Some sprint.
Some jog.
Some walk.
And some apparently stop for coffee along the way.
😂☕🌿
Purple Haze Pheno B?
She's taking the scenic route.
────────────────────────
💡 SAME PHOTONS – HER OWN INTERPRETATION
────────────────────────
And once again...
the room hasn't changed specifically for her.
We're still working with the same upgraded lighting setup.
The two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures remain part of the room.
We've reduced their output to approximately:
💡 ~59% power from the plug
giving us around:
☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy
with intensity naturally changing according to plant height and position.
And this girl is receiving those same photons as everybody else.
The photons don't care whether she's fast.
They don't care whether she's compact.
They don't care whether she's the little bush.
They arrive.
Her leaves intercept them.
Her photosynthetic machinery uses that energy.
And she decides what to do with it.
😂☀️🌿
And apparently...
she's decided to build a very frosty little plant.
────────────────────────
☀️ MORE CAPABILITY – CONTROLLED OUTPUT
────────────────────────
I continue to really like the lighting setup we've created in this room.
The additional fixtures give us more capability without requiring us to run them at full power.
That's important.
We're not chasing maximum output simply because the equipment can provide it.
We're creating flexibility.
More available light.
More ability to distribute photons across the canopy.
And then controlling the intensity to where we actually want it.
Approximately 59% from the plug.
Around 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy.
And the plants are responding in their own ways.
That's the interesting part.
Same light.
Different biological response.
And Purple Haze Pheno B is definitely showing us her own interpretation.
────────────────────────
📸 THE CAMERA STILL LOVES THIS GIRL
────────────────────────
Honestly...
I think this girl is becoming more and more fun to photograph.
😂📸❄️
Why?
Because she has so much detail.
She's compact enough that there are flowers everywhere within a relatively small space.
And when you start looking closely...
there's frost everywhere.
You move the camera.
Another flower.
Another patch of resin.
Another little structure.
Another angle.
Another detail.
It's almost like exploring a tiny forest.
And that's what makes macro photography such a beautiful part of this project.
From a distance:
"Small flowering plant."
Through the lens:
"Excuse me... what is THIS?"
😂🔬💎
There's always something hiding in the details.
────────────────────────
💎 THE FROST IS STILL HER SIGNATURE
────────────────────────
If I had to describe Pheno B with one visual characteristic...
it would be frost.
❄️💜
It's simply one of the first things I notice.
The resin-covered sugar leaves.
The sparkle around the flowers.
The little crystalline structures catching the light.
It gives the plant a completely different appearance from her sister.
And I think that's what makes her so memorable.
She doesn't need to be the tallest.
She doesn't need to be the fastest.
She's got her own signature.
And that signature is getting increasingly obvious.
────────────────────────
⚗️ FEEDING – SAME ROOM, SAME FOUNDATION
────────────────────────
As with the rest of the room, we've made the same nutritional adjustment this week.
🌱 Plagron Terra Bloom – 2.3 ml/L
🌱 Power Buds – 1 ml/L
🌱 Green Sensation – 1 ml/L
🌱 Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L
⚗️ pH adjusted as required
Current solution values remain around:
⚗️ pH – ~6.02
⚡ EC – ~2.14 mS/cm
And again...
we're not creating a special feeding strategy simply because she's moving more slowly.
We're watching the plant.
We're looking at her overall development.
We're keeping the room consistent.
And she's continuing to move forward.
That's enough for me.
────────────────────────
🌡️ WEEK 11 ROOM CONDITIONS
────────────────────────
The room continues around:
🌡️ Day temperature: ~26.5°C
🌙 Night temperature: ~26°C
💧 RH: ~61%
⚗️ pH: ~6.02
⚡ EC: ~2.14 mS/cm
💦 Nutrient solution: ~25°C
🌱 Substrate temperature: ~25°C
💨 CO₂: ~693 ppm
💡 Light schedule: 12/12
? Pot size: 15 L
💧 Irrigation: ~1.45 L/plant/24h
Same room.
Same environment.
Same general care.
Different phenotype.
And once again...
that's the experiment.
────────────────────────
🌿 LET HER TAKE HER TIME
────────────────────────
I'm really enjoying this stage with her because there's no need to rush.
She's not showing us that she wants to sprint.
So why would we force her?
She's developing.
She's building.
She's getting fatter.
She's getting frostier.
She's becoming more defined.
That's enough.
Sometimes growing is about knowing when to intervene.
And sometimes it's about knowing when to leave a beautiful plant alone.
With Pheno B...
I'm very happy to let her continue doing what she's already doing.
😂🌱
She knows her rhythm.
────────────────────────
🌸 SMALL PLANT – BIG PRESENCE
────────────────────────
This girl is a perfect example of why I don't like judging a plant purely by size.
She's not enormous.
She's not filling the entire vertical space.
She's not trying to dominate the tent.
But she has presence.
You notice her.
And when you get close...
you really notice her.
😂💜❄️
She's beautiful.
She's frosty.
She's compact.
She's becoming fuller.
And she's developing her own very distinctive flowering structure.
That's enough to make her interesting.
More than enough.
────────────────────────
🔬 ANOTHER WEEK OF PHENOTYPE HUNTING
────────────────────────
Every week, this experiment gives me another reason to appreciate genetic variation.
Two Purple Haze girls.
One room.
And yet...
look at them.
One is moving quickly.
One is moving more slowly.
One is building a different architecture.
One is staying compact.
One is developing a different overall flower expression.
And Pheno B is showing us something particularly beautiful:
You don't need to rush to make progress.
Sometimes slow development creates its own kind of beauty.
And I think we're starting to see that now.
────────────────────────
🔮 WHAT COMES NEXT?
────────────────────────
That's the question.
How much more will these flowers fill out?
How much more structure will become visible?
How much more resin will she develop?
And will her pace remain slow...
or will she decide to surprise us again?
😂💜
I honestly don't know.
And I'm perfectly happy with that.
Because we're not here to force the answer.
We're here to watch it happen.
Week by week.
Photograph by photograph.
Flower by flower.
And right now...
the story is beautiful.
────────────────────────
💭 FINAL THOUGHTS – THE LITTLE FROSTY QUEEN
────────────────────────
Week 11.
Purple Haze Pheno B.
Still not fast.
Still not tall.
Still not trying to be her sister.
And honestly?
Thank goodness.
Because she's beautiful exactly as she is.
💜❄️👑
She's moving forward.
She's beginning to get fatter.
Her flowering structure is becoming more obvious.
The resin remains one of the most impressive characteristics of this phenotype.
And her compact architecture gives her an identity that's completely different from Pheno A.
Same family.
Different expression.
Same room.
Different story.
Same photons.
Different response.
And that's exactly why we're doing this.
The 8×8 Adventure isn't about creating twelve identical plants.
It's about giving different genetics a shared stage...
and watching what they decide to do with it.
Purple Haze Pheno B has decided:
"Keep me compact.
Keep me frosty.
And I'll get there when I'm ready."
😂💜❄️
Fair enough, girl.
Take your time.
Build your flowers.
Fill out your structure.
Keep catching those photons.
And keep showing us just how beautiful your particular expression can be.
Because this little bush?
She's becoming one hell of a beautiful little bush.
👑💜🌿❄️🔥
So let's give her the spotlight.
Let's let her shine.
Let's not compare her against anybody else's clock.
And let's simply enjoy watching this frosty little Queen become more and more herself.
────────────────────────
🙏 THANK YOU
────────────────────────
As always, thank you so much to everyone following the 8×8 Adventure. 💚🌱
Thank you to GrowDiaries for giving us the space to document these individual journeys and share them with growers around the world.
Thank you to Zamnesia for the Purple Haze genetics and for giving us the opportunity to discover two such different expressions from the same genetic family.
Thank you to Plagron for the growing media and nutrition supporting the room.
A huge thank you to Future of Grow for supplying the additional Black Series 600W fixtures and allowing us to explore this expanded lighting setup. 💡☀️🌿
Thank you to Lumiflora for helping bring additional light into the deeper and lower areas of the canopy.
Thank you to TrolMaster for helping keep the environment stable behind the scenes.
And finally...
thank you to everyone following along.
Every comment.
Every question.
Every message.
Every person stopping by to see what these girls are doing.
It genuinely means a lot. 💚
This adventure continues to show us just how different plants can become when they're given the same general environment.
And Purple Haze Pheno B?
She's proving that she doesn't need to be fast.
She doesn't need to be tall.
She doesn't need to compete with her sister.
She's got her own rhythm.
Her own architecture.
Her own personality.
And her own beautiful frost-covered story.
💜❄️👑
She's getting fatter.
She's getting more defined.
She's still moving forward.
And she's still shining.
So let's give this little Frost Queen her moment.
Let's let her shine.
Let's keep those photons flying.
And let's see how much more this beautiful little girl has left to show us.
Growers Love, my friends. 💚🌱
See you next week in the 8×8 jungle...
where one sister races,
the other takes the scenic route,
and both somehow manage to make us stop and stare. 😂💜👑❄️

DogDoctorOfficial 💜 8×8 Adventure – Week 12
Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B
The Little Frosty Queen Is Still Shining… Even When She Hides From The Camera 😂❄️💜👑
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚
And...
well...
I have a small confession to make.
😂📸
Somehow...
SOMEHOW...
I managed to miss the individual photographs of our Purple Haze Pheno B this week.
Again.
🤦♂️😂
I know.
I know.
After all the talk about how much I love documenting these girls, here we are...
with no dedicated photo stack of our little Frosty Queen.
Apparently, she decided:
"You've photographed my sister enough.
This week, I'll be mysterious."
😂💜❄️
But before anyone thinks she's disappeared...
she hasn't.
She's right there in the room.
She's growing.
She's beautiful.
She's developing.
She's doing exactly what she has been doing throughout this entire adventure.
And thankfully, we do have general room photographs and a video showing the whole 8×8.
So if you look closely...
you can still find our little Purple Haze girl in there.
👀💜🌿
And I may still find the missing photographs.
I've been digging through different folders because I genuinely believe I took them.
So...
if they suddenly appear from some mysterious photographic dimension...
I'll come back and update this week with her individual photographs.
😂📸🕵️♂️
For now, though...
we work with what we have.
And honestly?
Even without the dedicated portraits...
I know this girl.
She's still beautiful.
She's still shining.
She's still growing.
She's still doing her thing.
She's simply doing it a little slower than her sister.
And that's perfectly okay.
So let's give our little Frosty Queen the spotlight anyway.
❄️💜👑🌿
────────────────────────
🌱 WEEK 12 – THE GIRL WHO DOESN'T NEED TO RUSH
────────────────────────
Purple Haze Pheno B continues to be exactly who she has shown us throughout this adventure.
Compact.
Beautiful.
Frosty.
And...
slow.
😂💜
Especially when you put her next to her sister.
Purple Haze Pheno A has apparently discovered the accelerator pedal and refuses to let go.
🔥💜🚀
Pheno B?
She's driving with the windows down and enjoying the scenery.
😂
And that's okay.
Because when I look at Pheno B, I don't see a plant that's failing to keep up.
I see a plant following her own rhythm.
She's developing.
She's flowering.
She's continuing to build.
She's maintaining her beautiful appearance.
And she's slowly becoming more substantial.
She's simply doing it on her own timetable.
That's one of the most important things this 8×8 Adventure continues to teach me.
Not every plant needs to move at the same speed.
────────────────────────
💜 SMALLER THAN HER SISTER – BUT STILL A BEAUTY
────────────────────────
There's no question about it.
Purple Haze Pheno B is smaller than her sister.
And right now, she's also somewhat behind her in visible flowering development.
But that's not a criticism.
It's an observation.
And there's a huge difference.
Her sister is moving extremely quickly.
The flowers are becoming enormous.
The week-to-week changes are dramatic.
Pheno B is taking a different road.
She's more compact.
She's slower.
She's developing at a more measured pace.
And yet...
she's beautiful.
That's what matters.
Because if I walked into the room without knowing which plant was which, I wouldn't look at her and think:
"What's wrong with this plant?"
I'd look at her and think:
"There's our little Purple Haze."
😂💜🌿
She has her own appearance.
Her own structure.
Her own rhythm.
Her own identity.
And that's exactly what we want to document.
────────────────────────
❄️ THE FROSTY QUEEN IS STILL FROSTY
────────────────────────
If there's one characteristic that has remained impossible to ignore with this girl...
it's the frost.
❄️❄️❄️
Even without this week's individual macro session, I know what I'm seeing when I look at her in the room.
That beautiful resin-covered character is still there.
The flowers continue developing.
The surrounding sugar leaves continue carrying that frosty appearance.
And when the room lighting hits her from the right angle...
she catches the light beautifully.
She's not the biggest girl.
She's not the fastest.
But she has something that makes you stop.
You see her.
You look closer.
And there she is.
Our little Frosty Queen.
😂❄️👑
That's her identity now.
And honestly...
I wouldn't change it.
────────────────────────
👭 TWO SISTERS – TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CLOCKS
────────────────────────
The contrast between Purple Haze Pheno A and Pheno B continues to be one of my favourite things about this project.
Same genetic line.
Same room.
Same lighting.
Same general environment.
Same irrigation philosophy.
Same nutritional foundation.
And yet...
completely different development speeds.
Pheno A is flying.
🚀🔥💜
Pheno B is cruising.
🚗💜😂
And that's exactly why having both in the same room is so valuable.
If I only had one Purple Haze plant, I might look at her development and think:
"This is how Purple Haze behaves."
But because we have two phenotypes sharing the same environment...
we can see that there isn't necessarily one single expression.
There are differences.
There are personalities.
There are rhythms.
There are individual plants.
And Pheno B is giving us a beautiful example of that.
────────────────────────
🌿 SLOW DOESN'T MEAN STOPPED
────────────────────────
This is something I want to repeat because it is important.
She's slower.
She's not stopped.
😂💜
There's a massive difference.
She's still developing flowers.
She's still changing.
She's still growing.
She's still using the environment.
She's still building.
She's simply doing it more slowly than the girl standing beside her.
And honestly?
That's okay.
Plants don't read our weekly schedules.
They don't know that we've labelled something "Week 12."
They don't look at the diary and think:
"Shit, better hurry up."
😂📖🌿
They have their own biological timing.
And this girl has made her timing pretty obvious.
She takes her time.
She does her thing.
And eventually...
she gets there.
────────────────────────
📸 THE GREAT PHOTO HUNT
────────────────────────
Now...
let's talk about the elephant in the room.
😂📸
Where the hell are her photographs?
I genuinely think I took them.
I've been looking through folders.
Different folders.
Old folders.
New folders.
Folders that apparently contain everything except the photographs I'm actually looking for.
😂🗂️📸
So I'm still hunting.
And if I find them...
I'll come back and update this week's diary with her individual photographs.
Because she deserves them.
But for now, we have the general room photographs.
And we also have a video showing the entire room.
And she's in there.
You can see her.
You can find her.
You just need to play:
"Where's Purple Haze Pheno B?"
😂🔎💜
It's basically a grow-room version of Where's Wally.
Except Wally is a frosty little Purple Haze plant.
😂💜❄️
And honestly...
I'm sorry, girl.
You deserved your own portrait session this week.
────────────────────────
🎥 SOMETIMES THE WHOLE ROOM TELLS THE STORY
────────────────────────
The funny thing is...
although I always prefer having dedicated photographs of each phenotype, the general room photographs and video actually give us something different.
They show context.
They show where she sits.
They show her relationship with the rest of the canopy.
They show the scale of the room.
And they remind us of something important:
This isn't twelve separate grows.
It's one 8×8 environment.
Twelve individual plants living inside it.
And Purple Haze Pheno B is part of that larger picture.
She's there.
She's growing.
She's developing.
She's simply not standing in front of the camera this week saying:
"Look at me."
😂
Maybe she's shy.
────────────────────────
💡 SAME PHOTONS – DIFFERENT RESPONSE
────────────────────────
The environment hasn't changed specifically for her.
The upgraded lighting remains in place.
The two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures continue providing the extra lighting capacity.
We've kept the output controlled rather than simply running everything at maximum.
We're still working around:
💡 ~59% power from the plug
with approximately:
☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy
and naturally varying intensity according to height and position.
And Pheno B is receiving those same photons.
Just like her sister.
Just like the rest of the room.
But look at the result.
Her response is different.
Her development speed is different.
Her structure is different.
Her timing is different.
And that's the beautiful part.
The photons are the same.
The plant's interpretation isn't.
😂☀️💜
────────────────────────
☀️ MORE LIGHTING CAPABILITY – CONTROLLED
────────────────────────
I continue to really like the additional lighting setup.
The point was never simply:
"Let's make the room as bright as physically possible."
😂☀️🔥
The point was to increase our capability.
More available lighting.
More flexibility.
More control.
And then find the level that makes sense for the room.
The additional Future of Grow fixtures gave us that headroom.
We don't have to run them flat out.
We can control the output.
And that means we have more capability without automatically turning that capability into wasted electricity.
Purple Haze Pheno B gets the same opportunity as everyone else.
What she does with that opportunity?
That's her story.
────────────────────────
🌸 THE FLOWERS ARE STILL MOVING
────────────────────────
Even without the dedicated photographs this week, the general room images and the video show us something important.
She's still developing.
She's not suddenly standing still because her sister is moving faster.
She's still part of the flowering progression.
The structure is continuing to develop.
The flowers are continuing to gain definition.
And her overall appearance remains beautiful.
That's what I want to emphasize.
We shouldn't confuse:
"not moving as quickly as Pheno A"
with:
"not progressing."
Those are completely different statements.
Pheno B is progressing.
She's just doing it at her own speed.
And that's okay.
────────────────────────
⚗️ NUTRITION – NOW WE START EASING BACK
────────────────────────
As we move further into the later stages of the flowering cycle, we're also beginning to change the nutritional approach.
And this is something I personally prefer to do gradually.
I don't like the idea of working with mineral nutrition and suddenly going:
"Right.
Zero everything tomorrow."
😂
That's just not how I prefer to approach the transition.
Instead, I like to start reducing the nutritional input progressively as the plants move toward their final stages.
Small steps.
Controlled changes.
Watching the plants.
Allowing the transition to happen rather than slamming the door shut overnight.
And that's what we're beginning to do across the room.
Pheno B is included in that gradual transition.
We're not trying to force her because she's slower.
We're simply allowing the entire room to move forward while continuing to observe each plant individually.
Her development may be slower than her sister's...
but her needs are still her needs.
And that's something I always want to respect.
────────────────────────
🌡️ WEEK 12 – ROOM CONDITIONS
────────────────────────
The room continues to remain broadly stable around:
🌡️ Day temperature: ~26.5°C
🌙 Night temperature: ~26°C
💧 RH: ~61%
🌱 Substrate temperature: ~25°C
💦 Nutrient solution: ~25°C
⚗️ pH: ~6.02
💨 CO₂: ~693 ppm
💡 Light schedule: 12/12
💧 Irrigation: ~1.45 L/plant/24h
? Pot size: 15 L
The important thing here is that the room remains the room.
We're not changing everything because one plant is slower.
We're maintaining the overall environment while paying attention to the individual responses.
And Purple Haze Pheno B continues to tell us:
"I'm good.
Just give me time."
😂💜
Fair enough, girl.
────────────────────────
🌿 DOING LESS – SEEING MORE
────────────────────────
This is becoming one of the biggest themes of the 8×8 Adventure.
Earlier in the grow, there was plenty to do.
Training.
Canopy management.
Defoliation.
Positioning.
Adjustments.
Decisions.
Now?
A lot of the job is observation.
And I actually love that.
Because when the plants are healthy and developing, you don't need to invent work.
You need to pay attention.
Look.
Measure.
Listen.
Watch.
And if something is needed...
respond.
Otherwise?
Let the plant grow.
Purple Haze Pheno B doesn't need me constantly touching her.
She needs time.
And she's getting it.
────────────────────────
💜 HER SISTER MAY BE FLYING – SHE'S STILL SHINING
────────────────────────
This is probably the biggest thing I want to leave with everyone this week.
Yes...
Pheno A is absolutely flying.
😂🚀🔥
Her flowers are becoming enormous.
Her weekly changes are dramatic.
She's moving incredibly quickly.
But that doesn't make Pheno B less interesting.
Quite the opposite.
Pheno B gives us the comparison.
She's showing us another expression.
Another pace.
Another architecture.
Another flowering rhythm.
And when you put both girls into the same room...
that's when the experiment really comes alive.
One says:
"Let's go!"
The other says:
"Relax."
😂💜
And both are beautiful.
────────────────────────
🔬 THIS IS WHY THE 8×8 ADVENTURE EXISTS
────────────────────────
This is exactly why I wanted to run these plants together.
Not to prove that one phenotype is better.
Not to make every plant behave identically.
But to watch what happens when different plants receive a shared environment.
The room becomes our constant.
The genetics become the variable.
And the plants provide the answers.
Purple Haze Pheno B is giving us a particularly interesting answer.
She's smaller.
She's slower.
She's frosty.
She's compact.
She's beautiful.
And she's completely herself.
That's enough.
More than enough.
────────────────────────
👑 THE LITTLE FROSTY QUEEN STILL DESERVES THE CROWN
────────────────────────
Even without the photographs...
I'm not taking the crown away from her.
😂👑❄️
Because she continues to shine.
She's not the biggest girl.
She's not the fastest.
She's not trying to compete.
But she has her own presence.
She has her own look.
And when you know the plants well enough...
you can spot her.
You know her structure.
You know her rhythm.
You know that frost.
You know that little compact personality.
She's become recognizable.
And that's one of the coolest parts of following a plant for twelve weeks.
You stop seeing a label.
You start seeing a personality.
Purple Haze Pheno B.
The little Frosty Queen.
💜❄️👑
────────────────────────
🔮 WHAT COMES NEXT?
────────────────────────
More development.
More flowers.
More resin.
More evolution.
And hopefully...
more photographs.
😂📸
I'm going to keep looking.
And if I find her missing photographs hiding somewhere inside the chaos of my folders...
they're coming straight into this diary.
But even without them, the journey continues.
We'll keep watching her through the general room photographs.
We'll keep watching the videos.
We'll keep watching the plant itself.
And most importantly...
we'll let her decide her own pace.
No rushing.
No forcing.
No pretending she's moving at the same speed as her sister.
She's not.
And that's perfectly fine.
────────────────────────
💭 FINAL THOUGHTS – STILL SHINING WITHOUT THE SPOTLIGHT
────────────────────────
Week 12.
And Purple Haze Pheno B?
She's still here.
😂💜❄️
She's still beautiful.
She's still developing.
She's still frosty.
She's still growing.
She's still doing her thing.
She's simply doing it at a slower pace than her sister.
And this week...
we somehow managed to forget her photographs.
😂📸🤦♂️
My apologies to everyone following her diary.
And especially to the little Queen herself.
If I find those photographs hiding somewhere in the endless folder jungle...
I'll update this week.
Until then, we have the general room photographs and the video showing the whole 8×8, where our little girl is still there doing exactly what she's supposed to be doing.
And honestly?
That's what matters.
Because the plant doesn't stop being beautiful just because I forgot to take her portrait.
😂💜
She's still shining.
She's still evolving.
She's still catching photons.
She's still building flowers.
She's still showing that beautiful frosty expression.
And she's still giving us one of the most interesting contrasts in the entire room.
Her sister is flying.
Pheno B is taking the scenic route.
But both are telling us something valuable.
Same genetic family.
Different expression.
Same room.
Different rhythm.
Same photons.
Different response.
And that's the 8×8 Adventure.
💜🌿❄️👑
So keep shining, little Frosty Queen.
Take your time.
Keep building.
Keep doing your thing.
We'll be watching.
And next week...
I promise I'll try to find the damn camera roll. 😂📸
────────────────────────
🙏 THANK YOU
────────────────────────
As always, thank you so much to everyone following the 8×8 Adventure. 💚🌱
Thank you to GrowDiaries for giving us the space to document these individual journeys and share these stories with growers around the world.
Thank you to Zamnesia for the Purple Haze genetics and for giving us the opportunity to discover two such different expressions from the same genetic family.
Thank you to Plagron for supporting the room with the growing media and nutrition throughout this adventure.
A huge thank you to Future of Grow for supplying the additional Black Series 600W fixtures and allowing us to explore this expanded lighting setup in the 8×8. 💡☀️🌿
Thank you to Lumiflora for helping bring additional light into the deeper and lower areas of the canopy.
Thank you to TrolMaster for helping us monitor and manage the environment behind the scenes.
And finally...
thank you to everyone following along.
Every comment.
Every question.
Every message.
Every person stopping by to watch these girls develop.
It genuinely means a lot. 💚
Even when I occasionally forget to photograph one of them...
😂📸🤦♂️
This adventure continues to teach us something every single week.
Twelve plants.
One room.
One shared environment.
And twelve completely different stories.
Purple Haze Pheno B is writing hers slowly.
Quietly.
Beautifully.
And with plenty of frost.
💜❄️👑
So let's give her the spotlight anyway.
Let's let her shine.
Let's let her take her time.
Let's keep those photons flying.
And let's see what this little Frosty Queen decides to show us next.
And if I find those missing photographs...
you'll be the first to know.
😂📸💜
Growers Love, my friends. 💚🌱
See you next week in the 8×8 jungle...
where one Purple Haze sister is apparently racing toward the future...
while the other is still enjoying the scenery.
😂💜👑❄️
And honestly?
I wouldn't have it any other way.

DogDoctorOfficial 💜 8×8 Adventure – Week 13
Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B
The Little Frosty Queen Is Not So Little Anymore… ❄️💜👑🌸
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚
And...
GUESS WHO FINALLY DECIDED TO SHOW UP PROPERLY FOR THE CAMERA? 😂📸
Our little Purple Haze Pheno B.
And I have to say...
I'm really, really happy we have the photographs this week.
Because this girl deserves them.
💜❄️👑
For a long time, her story has been about being the smaller sister.
The slower sister.
The girl taking the scenic route while Pheno A was basically driving with the accelerator welded to the floor.
😂💜🚀
But now?
Something has changed.
She's stacking.
She's growing.
She's getting denser.
She's getting frostier.
And when I look closely at those flowers...
HOLY SHIT.
😂❄️🌸
This girl may not be big in the same way her sister is...
but she's definitely BIG.
Just in her own way.
She's compact.
She's dense.
She's incredibly frosty.
She's developing some beautiful flower structure.
And the amount of frost is getting to the point where even the leaves are starting to curl around those flowers under the weight of everything happening there.
That's the kind of problem I don't mind looking at.
😂💜❄️
So this week...
we finally get to give our Little Frosty Queen the proper spotlight she deserves.
────────────────────────
🌱 WEEK 13 – THE LITTLE QUEEN IS STACKING
Let's start with the biggest change.
She's stacking.
And she's stacking beautifully.
🌸🌸🌸
This is one of those moments where I have to admit that the girl I was calling "slow" is starting to make me eat my words.
😂
She's still slower than her sister.
Absolutely.
She's still smaller.
Absolutely.
But she's moving.
And more importantly...
she's building.
The flowers are becoming more substantial.
The structures are becoming denser.
The individual flower sites are starting to look increasingly developed.
And the frost?
Well...
the frost is becoming ridiculous.
❄️❄️❄️
This girl is starting to look like somebody accidentally turned the trichome machine up too high.
😂💜
And I'm absolutely loving it.
────────────────────────
💜 SMALL DOESN'T MEAN SMALL FLOWERS
This is probably the biggest misconception I could have if I only described this girl by her size.
Yes.
She's not a giant.
She's not standing there trying to compete with her sister's enormous architecture.
She's more compact.
More controlled.
More contained.
But look at the flowers.
😂
That's where the story changes.
She's not small in the way that matters.
She's small in overall plant size...
but her flowers are becoming increasingly substantial.
Dense.
Structured.
Frosty.
Beautiful.
So when I say:
"She's not big..."
I immediately have to follow it with:
"...but she's big."
😂💜👑
Because she absolutely is.
She's making herself noticed in a completely different way.
Her sister dominates through size.
Pheno B is starting to dominate through density and frost.
And honestly?
I love that contrast.
────────────────────────
❄️ THE FROSTY QUEEN HAS ENTERED ANOTHER LEVEL
This girl has always had frost.
That isn't new.
But this week?
It's becoming difficult to ignore.
❄️💜❄️
The flowers are absolutely coated.
And when you get closer with the camera, the details become ridiculous.
The sugar leaves are carrying frost.
The flowers are carrying frost.
The little structures around the developing buds are catching the light.
And suddenly...
you understand why this girl earned the name:
The Little Frosty Queen.
👑❄️
But there's something else I really noticed.
Some of those leaves are beginning to curl around the flowers.
And when you look closely at them...
they're absolutely covered.
It's almost like the plant is wrapping the flowers in a layer of frosty decoration.
😂❄️🌿
She's not just getting frosty.
She's becoming a frost-covered little monster.
And I absolutely love it.
────────────────────────
🌸 DENSE BUDS – THAT'S WHAT I'M SEEING NOW
Another thing that immediately catches my attention is the density.
The flowers aren't just developing outward.
They're starting to look increasingly compact.
Dense.
Packed.
Substantial.
And that's really interesting because earlier in the diary, so much of her story was about waiting.
Waiting for her to move.
Waiting for her to catch up.
Waiting for her to show us more.
Well...
I think she's finally decided:
"Okay, okay, I'm ready."
😂💜
And now she's showing us.
The structure is there.
The flowers are developing.
The stacking is happening.
And the density is becoming much more obvious.
That's the progression I wanted to see.
Not necessarily a huge increase in plant size...
but a clear increase in what she's building.
And that's exactly what we're getting.
────────────────────────
👭 THE TWO SISTERS ARE STILL COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
This comparison is getting more interesting every week.
Purple Haze Pheno A:
💜 Big
💜 Tall
💜 Massive flower structures
💜 Extremely noticeable
💜 Fast-moving
Purple Haze Pheno B:
💜 More compact
💜 Smaller overall
💜 Dense flowers
💜 Extremely frosty
💜 Slower, but catching up in her own way
Same genetic family.
Same room.
Same general environment.
Same lighting.
Same irrigation.
Same nutritional foundation.
And yet...
look at them.
😂💜
They're telling two completely different stories.
And this is exactly why I love having both phenotypes in the same room.
If I only had Pheno B, I might simply say:
"That's Purple Haze."
But because I have Pheno A beside her...
I can see just how differently two phenotypes can express themselves.
One became the Big Mama.
The other became the Little Frosty Queen.
And honestly?
Both are fucking beautiful.
────────────────────────
🌿 SHE'S STILL THE SLOWER GIRL – BUT NOW SHE'S MOVING
I'm not going to rewrite history.
😂
She's still one of the slower girls in the room.
She's still behind her sister.
And she's definitely taken her sweet time getting here.
But...
she's moving.
That's the important part.
She's not stalled.
She's not sitting there waiting for something magical to happen.
She's actively developing.
She's stacking.
She's building.
She's getting denser.
She's getting frostier.
And she's becoming more impressive every time I look at her.
That's progress.
And I don't need her to suddenly become the fastest plant in the room.
I just need her to keep being herself.
And right now?
She's doing a damn good job of that.
💜❄️🌸
────────────────────────
📸 YES – WE HAVE PHOTOS!
And yes...
WE HAVE PHOTOS.
😂📸💜
After the photographic crimes of previous weeks, I am extremely happy to report that the Little Frosty Queen has officially reclaimed her portrait privileges.
No missing folders.
No mysterious camera-roll disappearance.
No "Where's Purple Haze B?"
She's here.
She's photographed.
She's documented.
And honestly...
I'm glad.
Because this week, there is actually a lot to see.
The close-ups show the frost.
The wider photographs show her structure.
The flower shots show the stacking.
And together they tell a much better story than a general room photograph ever could.
This girl deserved her own gallery.
And now she has one.
👑📸❄️
────────────────────────
💎 THE CAMERA IS STARTING TO HAVE A PROBLEM
I think the camera might actually be struggling with this girl.
😂📸
Because every time I get closer...
there's more frost.
You start with:
"Nice flower."
Then:
"Oh, that's frosty."
Then:
"Okay... that's VERY frosty."
Then:
"Why are the leaves covered in this much frost?"
😂❄️💜
And that's exactly what I love about macro photography.
The naked eye gives you the overall impression.
The camera gives you the details.
And this girl has details.
Lots of them.
────────────────────────
💡 SAME PHOTONS – DIFFERENT RESULT
The environment hasn't been specially changed for her.
She's still part of the same upgraded 8×8 lighting environment.
The two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures remain in place.
We're controlling their output rather than simply running everything at maximum.
Approximately:
🔌 ~59% power from the plug
With approximately:
☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy.
And once again...
the photons are the same.
The response isn't.
That's the fascinating part.
Pheno A takes those conditions and builds a huge plant with enormous flowers.
Pheno B takes those same conditions and gives us a more compact structure with increasingly dense and extremely frosty flowers.
Same artificial sun.
Different interpretation.
Different genetics.
Different expression.
That's the 8×8 Adventure.
💜☀️🌿
────────────────────────
☀️ THE ARTIFICIAL SUN KEEPS FLYING
The Future of Grow lighting upgrade continues to be one of the most interesting parts of this run.
We have more available lighting capability than we had before.
But we're not just throwing everything at maximum power.
We're controlling it.
We're measuring.
We're observing.
We're finding the operating point that makes sense for the room.
And around 59% power from the plug, we're getting approximately 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy.
That's a serious amount of artificial sunlight.
😂☀️
And our Little Frosty Queen is sitting underneath it...
turning those photons into some seriously beautiful flowers.
A huge thank you again to Future of Grow for giving us the opportunity to test the additional Black Series 600W fixtures in a real flowering environment.
It's been fascinating watching twelve different plants respond to the same expanded lighting environment.
────────────────────────
🔬 SAME ROOM – DIFFERENT ANSWERS
This remains the heart of everything we're doing here.
Twelve plants.
One room.
One shared environment.
Same general lighting strategy.
Same irrigation.
Same nutritional foundation.
Same grower.
And twelve different stories.
Purple Haze Pheno B is giving us another beautiful answer.
She's telling us:
"I may not be the biggest..."
😂
"...but look closer."
And when you do?
There it is.
The frost.
The density.
The stacking.
The structure.
The personality.
💜❄️🌸
That's what makes phenotype work so interesting.
Sometimes the most interesting differences aren't obvious from across the room.
You have to get closer.
────────────────────────
⚗️ NUTRITION – STILL SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT
The room continues under the current flowering nutritional programme, with the nutritional strategy being adjusted progressively as we move deeper into the cycle.
The current foundation remains around:
🌱 Plagron Terra Bloom
🌱 Power Buds
🌱 Green Sensation
🌱 Sugar Royal
with the room operating around:
⚗️ pH ~6.0
⚡ EC ~2.1 mS/cm
And again, the important thing is not simply the numbers.
It's the response.
And Pheno B is responding beautifully.
She's developing.
She's stacking.
She's getting denser.
She's getting frostier.
And she's showing us that her slower pace doesn't mean she's not capable of producing some seriously impressive flowers.
────────────────────────
🌡️ WEEK 13 – ROOM CONDITIONS
The general 8×8 environment remains stable around:
🌡️ Day temperature: ~26.5°C
🌙 Night temperature: ~26°C
💧 RH: ~61%
🌱 Substrate temperature: ~25°C
💦 Nutrient solution: ~25°C
⚗️ pH: ~6.0
⚡ EC: ~2.1 mS/cm
💨 CO₂: ~693 ppm
💡 Light schedule: 12/12
💧 Irrigation: ~1.45 L/plant/24h
🌱 Pot size: 15 L
☀️ Upper canopy: ~1,500 PPFD
🔌 Future of Grow output: ~59%
Same room.
Same conditions.
Same general strategy.
And yet...
our little Purple Haze Pheno B continues to show us her own interpretation.
💜🌿❄️
────────────────────────
🌿 THE PLANT IS DOING THE WORK
And just like with her sister...
I'm not doing much physically to her.
😂
There's no reason to.
She's already established.
She's already structured.
She's already flowering.
And now she's building.
So why would I constantly reach into her canopy and start changing things just for the sake of doing something?
I'm not interested in manufacturing work.
My job is to observe.
Look at the flowers.
Look at the foliage.
Watch the environment.
Monitor the irrigation.
Watch the nutrition.
Take photographs.
And if something actually requires attention...
then we respond.
Otherwise?
Let her grow.
And she's doing exactly that.
Beautifully.
────────────────────────
❄️ FROST ON FROST ON FROST
I really want to come back to the frost because...
WOW.
😂❄️
This girl is becoming ridiculously frosty.
The leaves around the flowers are covered.
The flowers themselves are becoming increasingly frosted.
And the combination of dense flower structure and heavy resin expression is giving her a really unique appearance.
She's not trying to compete with her sister's size.
She doesn't need to.
She has another weapon.
Frost.
Lots and lots of frost.
😂❄️💜👑
She's basically saying:
"Fine, you can have the biggest flowers.
I'll take all the glitter."
😂💜✨
And honestly?
Fair deal.
────────────────────────
🌸 STACKING – FINALLY SHOWING HER HAND
This is another part of the story that I'm really enjoying.
The stacking is becoming obvious now.
The individual flowering sites are becoming more connected visually.
The structures are gaining weight.
The flowers are becoming more substantial.
And suddenly that little plant we were waiting on...
doesn't look quite so little anymore.
She's still compact.
But compact doesn't mean insignificant.
Quite the opposite.
She's using the structure she has very efficiently.
And that's something I really like about her.
She doesn't need to occupy half the tent.
She just needs to make the space she has count.
And she's doing exactly that.
────────────────────────
👑 THE LITTLE FROSTY QUEEN IS GETTING HER CROWN BACK
After all the delays...
all the slow weeks...
all the:
"Come on, girl..."
😂
She's finally giving us the answer we were waiting for.
She's stacking.
She's developing.
She's frosting.
She's becoming dense.
And she's becoming increasingly beautiful.
So yes...
the crown stays.
👑❄️💜
Little Frosty Queen.
You earned it.
────────────────────────
🔮 WHAT COMES NEXT?
Honestly?
I'm curious.
Very curious.
Because this is the point where I stop wondering:
"Will she develop?"
and start wondering:
"How far is she going to take this?"
😂💜
How much more density will those flowers develop?
How much more frost will she produce?
How will the orange and mature colours evolve?
How much more will the flower structures fill out?
And what will this compact little monster look like when she finally reaches the end of her journey?
I have no idea.
And I love that.
Because we're not writing the ending in advance.
We're watching her write it.
Week by week.
Photograph by photograph.
────────────────────────
💭 FINAL THOUGHTS – SHE'S SMALL, BUT SHE'S BIG
Week 13.
And our Purple Haze Pheno B has officially entered a new chapter.
💜❄️👑
She's still smaller than her sister.
She's still slower than her sister.
But...
she's stacking.
She's developing.
She's getting dense.
She's getting frosty.
And she's becoming increasingly difficult to describe as "small."
😂
She's not a giant plant.
But she's a big girl in all the ways that matter.
Her flowers are getting substantial.
Her structure is becoming increasingly impressive.
Her frost is absolutely ridiculous.
And those leaves curling around the flowers while covered in resin?
That's just beautiful.
😂❄️🌿
She has her own way of doing things.
And after all the delays...
all the slow weeks...
all the moments where we wondered when she was going to really show us what she had...
I think she's finally answering.
And her answer is:
"Relax. I was getting there."
😂💜
Fair enough, girl.
You take all the time you need.
Because what you're showing us now?
I'm liking it.
A lot.
So keep stacking.
Keep building.
Keep frosting.
Keep doing whatever the hell Purple Haze Pheno B wants to do.
And keep shining under that artificial sun.
💜🌸❄️👑☀️
We'll keep watching.
We'll keep photographing.
We'll keep learning.
And we'll let this beautiful little monster show us where she's going.
────────────────────────

It genuinely means a lot. 💚
And yes...
this week we finally have the photographs of our Little Frosty Queen again.
😂📸💜
And honestly?
I'm glad we do.
Because she deserves to be seen.
She's been the smaller sister.
The slower sister.
The shy girl.
The one who took the scenic route.
But now?
She's stacking.
She's building.
She's dense.
She's frosty as fuck.
And she's becoming one of the most visually interesting girls in the room.
💜❄️👑
Twelve plants.
One room.
One shared environment.
And twelve completely different stories.
Purple Haze Pheno B is writing hers slowly...
but she's writing it beautifully.
So let's give her the spotlight.

💜🌿🌸❄️💎☀️🔥👑
Growers Love, my friends. 💚🌱
Happy growing, take care everyone...
and I'll see you next week in the 8×8 jungle.
Where one Purple Haze sister is building enormous flowers...
and the other?
She's quietly building her own little frosty empire.
😂💜❄️👑
See you next week! 🌱📸💚
@DogDoctorOfficial, I did it and signed up 😎 a picture has also been posted........😎...I hope everything was correct..... thank you very much my friend 👍💪😎
