Maui Wowie Auto Outdoor Spring 26'

MindFlowers68 The outdoor autos are doing really good this week. I averaged out the temps and humidity. There were some hot days this week consecutively and dry conditions in the lower 90s. I was up early, watering them before the sun came up and they got some boogie brew tea. Later in the week, I had time to get my vegetables planted, and each of the autos got some security guard friends since they have pretty big pots anyway. Each pot got a marigold, dill, basil and marjoram I started from seed in my gorilla tent. I have a lot of pepper plants and other stuff around so I think they should do very well. I made sure to plant the companion plants more on the north side of the fabric pads so that they don't shade the cannabis. My deck is south east facing so it gets sun most of the day with a mid-day break from the sun under the shade of my big silver maple. I have them positioned so they get some of the first rays in the morning and some of the last rays of the sun setting.

MindFlowers68 The outdoor autoflowers were graced with rain twice this week. It's amazing what real rain does for the plants. The other plants out on my deck are looking equally as happy from it. I gave them a little bit of my tea, I was feeding my bigger plants, but they mostly fend for themselves the entire week. I stopped in a few times a day and look and take some pictures and see what's happening, but not much I can really do for them right now, but just let them do their thing. I did get to the farm supply store today and got some nice mulch and other stuff. I'm going to mix hardwood, pine, bark nuggets, pine straw in a little bit of Cedar. Might as well have some fun and mix stuff. I could be boring and use just one Mulch, or I could pretend I'm mimicking nature and use five different mulches together and probably won't make much difference but. I was surprised to see the cedar mulch has a nice networking mycelium growing in it.

MindFlowers68 Summer is in full swing now and no rain at all this week. Daytime high temps averaged 86°F. I was out watering every other day in the morning around 2 gallons each time. They also got some compost tea mid week. The plants are showing maturity and stretch double in size. I have a feeling they are going .to start flowering this next week. Going to have several days in the triple digits temperature next week and no rain. It's good for the foliage, though not getting wet. The leaves are looking really good and vibrantly healthy.

MindFlowers68 The outdoor autos sure did get thrown to the wolves this week. They got absolutely blasted with sun for 4 days straight with a heat index of over 112 Degrees Fahrenheit. They were loving it too. I made sure to keep them watered, but those 30 gallon pots are coming in handy for that because I was more worried about watering my tomatoes in the 5-7 gallons than the autos that were holding up pretty good without my help. It was crazy to see how they were still following the sun on those hot days like sunflowers. They were literally praying at 90° angles in the evening sun before sunset. Then, after that they got like three days of rain straight. In the first storm I thought they were gonna get blown out. I should've gave them at least a tomato cage or something. They were leaning for a day or two, but they're growing straight now and I'm not too worried about them falling over if they could survive that. I figured they were going to start flowering this week given that they were dealing with extra stress and I can't ever seem to get my autos to veg longer than 3-4 weeks anyway so I guess that's kind of the point of them. I really would like to get a nice 5-6 veg auto flower with a 5-6 week flowering. That would be pretty cool. They're already stinking up the place so that's good.

MindFlowers68 Very easy going week. The plants didn't even need to be watered because we got a few storms that came through followed by milder temps. That was a relief because I was very busy with other things

MindFlowers68 Autos had some more rough conditions again this week. We had another mini heat wave in the triple digits followed by a few small storms. They got watered once this week one morning before the sun started to beat down. First day of the week noticed a few small spots of Powder Mildew. Its been very hot humid and stagnate. plus wildfire smoke blocking out UV rays. I sprayed them that night with 1/10 ratio water and hydrogen peroxide. 2 days later I notice a little more and picked it off and ordered some potassium bicarbonate mixed with aloe to spray the plants again. It's been 5 days and it seems like that actually did the trick. I sprayed it on my cucumbers too and seemed to help them too. I'm cutting it close here but I think i can make it another week or two to harvest. It did nuke a few of my stigmas but by the end of the week seeing new white healthy ones and lots of trichomes. They all have subtle unique smells right now bull all of them had a very sweet underlying smell.

MindFlowers68 Plants have survived the PM attack! The potassium bicarbonate seemed to work well. plants looks slightly rough right after application but recovered quickly. may have also been form the peroxide solution. I will try it by itself next time and see how it does. may start using it as a preventive. That along with the fan. I'm s glad they bounce back and fought it off. other than some minor bug damage form leafhoppers and such. i did find a caterpillar on one bud. the plants are holding up really well for outdoor. they are all getting covered in frost and entering the finishing stage. Temps much more mild than previous weeks and some substantial rain early in the week made it a pretty easy week. I was thinking about removing the herbs planted in the pots but now that the plants are doing better i would rather leave them they are not affecting the plants much other than making it a little hard to get photos. but i don't mind them be intermingled outdoors. I didn't need to water much but they each of a gallon of my feed from my other plants once this week that had FFJ and cal-mag in it.

MindFlowers68 Got another heavy storm early in the week with monsoon like winds and rain. Plants were droopy for a day or two from wet soil and the wind but recovered and stood back on their own 2 days later. With another round of storm on the way later in the week, I wanted to get them harvested. Seeing lots of milky trichomes and most the hairs turning brown, although I think that's more from the battering of rain and wind. They held up well though and got to swell out the last week nicely. They were chopped down week 5 of the week and drying for two days. Had the humidity at 55 percent few days, but i kicked on the humidifier to stay around 60 for the duration of the dry now they have lost a decent amount of moisture. Keeping the temps between 62 an 66 degrees. I should have the harvest update not to long.
