all_about_420 Green light for the Canna Community Run with the Frosted Grapes XXL from Sensi Seeds Research! Two seeds are moist in the paper towel and are kicking off the germination phase. The stronger of the two ladies will take the race and make her way into the setup – I’m curious to see how quickly the roots will show what they’re made of. To start this round, two seeds of the Frosted Grapes XXL went into the germination phase. We started classically with the moist paper towel method – and it was a complete success: Both seeds quickly and evenly cracked open and developed strong taproots. Immediately after, both seedlings went into the substrate. After a short time, they stretched their little heads out of the soil and are already showing the first juicy green cotyledons and leaves. Thus, the head-to-head race is officially on: Both ladies are looking vigorous, but in the end, the stronger and more growth-happy one will take the race and conquer the main setup. An absolutely successful start to the germination week – I’m excited to see who will be ahead in the coming days!

Im direkten Duell zeichnet sich nun aber schon eine klare Tendenz ab: Die kräftigere der beiden zeigt spürbar mehr Vitalität und einen stabileren Blattaufbau. Damit ist die Entscheidung im Rennen um den Platz im Setup so gut wie gefallen – die vitälere Dame wird mitgenommen und darf weiter durchstarten, während die Nachzüglerin ausscheidet. Gegen Ende der Woche zeigt sie sich von ihrer besten Seite, schiebt zügig frische Blattpaare nach und baut ein sauberes, kompaktes Blattwerk auf. Der Übergang hat reibungslos geklappt – die Weichen für ein gesundes vegetatives Wachstum sind gestellt, und ich bin gespannt auf die Entwicklung der kommenden Wochen!

all_about_420 The initial startup difficulties are finally a thing of the past: The Frosted Grapes XXL has bounced back excellently and is now noticeably picking up speed. With a strong push, the young lady is producing clean nodes and shows a symmetrical, vibrant leaf structure. For nutrient supply, I'm currently holding back completely – the plan right now is solely to use Advanced Nutrients Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra for targeted supplementation, while the base fertilizer is still on hold for now. The root system seems to have fully settled into the substrate, and the structure is becoming more stable day by day.

The repotting went excellently, and the previous slight nutrient deficiency is now a thing of the past: the leaves are showing a much richer, healthy green again. By the weekend, the lady looks robust, revitalized, and with steadily growing leaf mass. The roots are fully taking hold in the fresh substrate – the foundation for further vegetative development is absolutely on point!

Both the cut and the transition into the larger pot have been handled by the lady without delay: By the weekend, the side shoots are already growing vigorously and establishing a nice, even branching. The foliage continues to be in a deep, vibrant green and the roots are quickly conquering the new space in the substrate – excellent conditions for further development!

Instead of a growth pause, it immediately took off after the procedure and perfectly redirected the energy to the new main shoots. By the weekend, it presents itself with a wonderfully dense, even crown and stretches its juicy green fan leaves towards the light. The branching stands stable and the growth gains massive fullness – it is optimally preparing for the upcoming tasks!
