PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja SUMMER is upon us and grows that were started around March are a week or so away from harvest - so that means I'll have an empty tent pretty soon! So I've decided to start another grow for this Summer and into Autumn. 🙌 For this grow, I've selected Lemonessence by Doja Seeds - I chose this strain for her Lemon flavour, Happy/Focused effects and also for the breeder; I have never grown a Doja strain before, so I'm excited for this one! I will be vegging her for about 8 weeks and I will be using a mixture of growing techniques which I have used before, including topping with some low stress training. You're all more than welcome to follow along, I will try to detail my process without overloading each week with "Too Much Info"😅 Day 1 (16/06) - Seed dropped into a small metal screw tin filled with RO Tap water pH'd to 6.3 and stored in a dark warm room - she will remain here until the seed pops and a taproot appears; I will check the progress of the seed every ~12 hours. Day 2 - The seed has already popped and a taproot has appeared, so I've filled a small 0.3L paper starter pot with some All-Mix and dropped the seed in! Day 3 - The seedling has already appeared from the soil, but her starter leaves have yet to breach, so tomorrow morning she should be out for us 💪 Day 5 - She has a nice long stem and her first leaves have started to develop 🙌🏻

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Day 9 🚿 Watered every three days with 2L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually and in order, finally I ph'd the solution to 6.3. I have upped her Fish-Mix and Acti-Vera nutrients to promote growth and plant health! ✂️ I've removed two of her top most fan leaves to improve light penetration to the lower nodes, this will encourage lower stem growth. 🌱 Week 2 of Veg, and shes working on developing her root system in her new pot, stretching and strengthening her main stem as well as producing lower side stems 💪🏻 She's still a bit small, but perhaps she is still working on developing her roots into this larger pot.

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Day 17 🚿 Watered every three days with 2L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually and in order, finally I ph'd the solution to 6.3. ✂️ I've removed a couple of her lower fan leaves to improve airflow and I've also topped her main stem to allow the lower stems to grow up and form a consistent canopy 💪🏻 I've decided to leave her two larger fan leaves for now, because she is still quite small and I don't want to stress her too much. 🌱 Week 3 of Veg, she recovered from her first topping and has started to grow out her lower stems and supporting fan leaves! Shes smaller than the Big Z, but is a similar size to the other plants in this grow, so I'm not worried about her size; she might been an extra week of veg to get her to the size I want her at before I switch her over to 12/12 - no decision yet, it's till early days 👍🏻

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Day 25 🚿 Watered every four days with 2L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually and in order, finally I ph'd the solution to 6.3. No change to her nutrients this week. ✂️ Busy week again for this one, I've topper her two central stems to create an even canopy, as they were a few cm taller than the rest; so she's had three of her stems topped now - this will be the last toppings for her. I will let her recover over the next week or so and then I'll thin her out a bit (lollipoping) to get her to stretch upwards 👍🏻 🌱 Week 4 of Veg, she's still quite small compared to the other plants, but she is very dense in foliage and her stems are very thick, so I'm not too worried; she's also medium sized and bushy by nature, so she will require just that extra bit of TLC. She looks to be in great health, is showing signs of maturity (her famine traits are there) and is working hard on developing her structure - she will be getting at least another three weeks of veg at this point, so all good 🏻

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Day 35 💡 PPFD: 540 ♒VPD: 0.98kPa 🚿 Watered every four days with 3L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then finally, I ph'd the solution to 6.3. I've reduced her root nutrient as she no longer requires it and increased her CalMag because some of the plants were showing signs of magnesium deficiency. From next feeding, I will start to introduce her bloom nutrients. ✂️ I've given her a good defoliation and I've lollipopped her up to about the third/fourth node from the canopy. I wasn't happy with how uneven her canopy was, so I've introduced some training clips to even her out a bit! She will be left alone now until her stretch phase of flower has completed. 🌱 Week 5 of Veg, she's still a bit short compared to the other girls in the tent, but she is strong and sturdy, and she looks ready to hold any weight that flower throws at her! Another week or so to go, but she is showing her maturity and looks robust enough to begin the 12/12 switch 💪🏻

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Week 1 of Bloom 🌸 She has reached maturity, has big strong lateral stems, a nice even canopy with no signs of deficiencies or illnesses, so she is ready for the 12 switch. I gradually reduced her light schedule over the last five days of veg, until she hit the 12 hour schedule yesterday, so today is her second day "in bloom" and she looks to have started her stretch already; from my vision she looks to be a few cm taller than yesterday - hopefully she doesn't get too tall ? ✂️ No work on her this week, I don't usually defoliate or train my girls during the first and second week of bloom because I want to reduce as much stress as possible. 🚿 Watered every three days this week, with 3L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then finally, I ph'd the solution to 6.3. I've switch out her veg nutrients now for bloom nutrients; these volumes will slowly be increased over the next couple of weeks depending on her needs. 💡 PPFD: ~650 ♒ VPD: 1.3kPa PH: 6.3 🌱 Days from seed: 62 🌸 Days in Bloom: 2

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Week 2 of Bloom 💧 Watered every three days this week, with 3L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then finally, I pH'd the solution to 6.3. I've increased her bloom nutrients again, and I will continue to do that over the next few weeks to keep up with her growth requirements 👍🏼 ✂️ No work on her this week, I tend to leave my girls alone during the first and second week of bloom. 🌸 Week 2 of bloom and she's doing great, she's a top performer along with the Zu-Tang, stretching really well and her budsites have the beginnings of flower, so she's well and truly into bloom now! PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Week 3 of Bloom 🌸 She has just about finished her stretch, finishing as the tallest in this grow, and now she's switched her focus over to developing her flower! Her scent is still developing, but it's strong enough now where the carbon filter had to be attached to the extraction fan. She has extremely thick lateral stems and she looks really healthy, so all good so far 🙌🏻 ✂️ I've lollipopped her again, removing all leaves stems and budsites below the top ~6 nodes from the canopy - these lower branches won't develop into anything and will more than likely cause problems later down the line. I've also removed a couple of the larger fan leaves from her center, to improve airflow and light penetration 💪🏻 💧 Watered every three days with 4L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then finally, I pH'd the solution to 6.3. I've increased some of her nutrients and added the AlgAMix as a precaution to any temperature fluctuating that might occur this time of year. 💡 PPFD: ~740 ♒ VPD: 1.34kPa 🌱 Days from seed: 78 🌸 Days in Bloom: 19

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Week 4 Bloom 🌸 This one has really impressed me - she is big and beautiful (the tallest and widest in the tent), her smell is exceptional (definitely leaning more towards her Gelonade genes with a bold citrus/lemon scent with a soft creaminess to it), she has thick stems with large lime green buds popping out from everywhere with sticky trichomes covering everything from her flower out to the tips of her fan leaves! She's exceptional!! All the girls have been moved into the Spider Farmer 8x4, because the 5x5 and 4x2 were too difficult to manage 👍🏻 ✂️ No work this week, I took a lot off her last week so she doesn't need anything. 💧 Watered every three days with 5L of RO water - nutrients were mixed individually, in order and then finally pH'd to 6.3. I've increased her nutrients again to keep up with her flower production. 💡 PPFD: ~800 ♒ VPD: 1.48kPa 🌱 Days from seed: 86 🌸 Days in Bloom: 27

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Week 5 Bloom 🌸 She great - super easy to grow, I've hardly done anything with her since the switch, she has big colour buds from top to bottom, no signs of deficiencies or disease, her scent is dominating the tent, a sharp lemon/citrus scent with a creamy vanilla finish - divine! Her bud is lime green, contrasted with purpling on the tips of her brats and shimmering perl trichomes that cover everything. I have a feeling she'll finish early, as she is already starting to show signs of maturity - we shall see 🏻 ✂️ No work this week, she has great airflow and light penetration 👌🏻 💧 Watered every three days with 5L of RO water - nutrients were mixed individually, in order and then finally pH'd to 6.3. I've increased her nutrients again to keep up with her flower production. 💡 PPFD: ~900 ♒ VPD: 1.52kPa 🌱 Days from seed: 95 🌸 Days in Bloom: 34

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Week 6 Bloom 🌸 She has finished her bulk and is working on maturity her flower - she has beautiful grape sized bracts in tightly formed colas, lime green with purpling tips and a sugar coating of trichomes. Her structure has the scent to back it, with deep lemons fragrance backed with a creamy finish, very delicious 👌🏻 External temperatures have started to drop this week, which is perfect timing for these girls as they all have about 3-4 weeks of scheduled bloom left. ✂️ I've removed her lowest most side stems, because they were just too far behind the canopy. But other than that, she's in good health - no herming or disease 👌🏻 💧 Watered every three days with 5L of RO water, nutrients were mixed individually, in order and then finally pH'd to 6.3. I've altered her nutrients to meet her needs for this late phase of bloom. 💡 PPFD: ~900 ♒ VPD: 1.46kPa 🌱 Days from seed: 102 🌸 Days in Bloom: 41

PapaTerps Lemonessence - Doja Week 8 Bloom 🌸 We're at day 55, heading towards week 9 of bloom and the autumnal colour change in fully swing, with the darkening of the flower and leaves. She is also approaching full maturity, her pisitils are ambering and some of her trichomes have started to turn milky, her scent is also getting stronger; she's definitely leaning more into the Gelonade genes, with her producing more of an zesty lemon with a creamy finish on the nose; very pleasant - another week or so and she should be ready for harvest 👌🏻 ✂️ No work this week, she has good light penetration and airflow. She won’t need anything between now and harvest👌🏼 💧 Watered every three days with 4L of RO water, nutrients were mixed individually, in order and then finally pH’d to 6.3. I’ve begun to reduce her nutrients as she approaches harvest. 💡 PPFD: ~900 ♒ VPD: 1.56kPa 🌱 Days from seed: 116 🌸 Days in Bloom: 55
