MindFlowers68 Off to a slight rough start but we are finally cooking with a healthy Limoncello seedling! First seed after 6 days of nothing i did some digging and just appeared to be a dud so i tried another. Same thing waited another 6 days and looked lie another dud. i placed them pack into the soi land soaked the a lot one and finally get that one to germinate in my new veg tent with its own dedicated light. I thought maybe the first one just had hard time germinating because it was a the bottom of the flower tents before they got flipped to flower but when i setup my 3x3 with my 300w light covering the 4 plants the second one with 400 ppfd dint have enough heat i guess to germinate. I have a very exciting next run planned for my indoor photoperiods. Two weeks prior i inculcated some new bio-char with boogie brew tea, kelp, sea minerals and liquid fish. Then got some bulk materials together to make a new mix for 5 gallon starter pots. I made a separate diary with the mix i did because i didn't have enough slots for photos to include all of it here. Last few run had used lava rocks in the 5 gallons but i find the hard to get to a small and consistent and they make too many air pockets the eventually sag and making extra fabric pot unutilized. This time around I added rice hulls to the mix and got a coarser vermiculite which adds to the texture of the soil. The worm castings included worm eggs so some of them should hatch but if not I have worms on the way i will add a few to each pot. I made my hot mix and let it sit for a week and when I sowed the seeds after soaking overnight 12 hours. I made a separate inert starter mix for the top few inches of soil along with a small dished out area in center for taproot to get established in. I also mounted the top of the pot with the starter mix about 2 inches so i can get a little extra room between soil level and my fist nodes. I wanted to utilize every bit of space in the pots so the roots have as much room as possible because they may not be transplanted for 8 weeks. I let the intensity of light be very little starting off to get them to stretch just slightly too before giving them more intense light few day later. These seedling have already had quite the journey in their first few weeks of life. I had them started in the bottom of my flower tents when they were still on 18 hour light schedule, but they needed to be kicked out. The mushroom 3x3 tent was still setup and added my ac infiity light and got them some more light a few days after sowing. I didn't have chance to set up ducting to outside so it was heating up my lung room too much so I had to clear area on other side of house for a new veg tent. I originally ordered a hydropolis oversized 5x5 that would have been sweet but they never shipped it to me. So then I got creative and figured out how to convert my old 4x8 tent into a 4x6 tent. It has a 7 foot tall 2x4 rack for clones/seedlings and an oversized 4x4 area to tart my new photoperiods. I did have to barrow the 2 foot poles from my cool grows 2x3 tent I'm not using to make it happen a little easier with no permanent modifications. i just used electrical tape to shim the poles up to fit snug into the 4x8 poles.

MindFlowers68 Limoncello is off to a good start. Slightly behind schedule but should catch up to others quick. The other seedlings in other diaries I counted a few week for sprouting to end of germination week but this i counted as it starting veg right after sprouting so looks a little "smaller" than normal if that makes sense. The first leaves are looking nice and seeing some fine hairs on the stem already. I graduated it up to the big lights with the other plants at the end of the week. I have just been using the spray bottle for watering this week here ant there but going to need to water for real this next week.

MindFlowers68 Looking nice this week. She will catch up soon to the others. I have the two lights above I'm going to rotate them this week and give the smaller plants the bigger light to try to even them out some. I know my nutrients looks a little crazy for such a small plant but I only added a little bit of what I had mixed up from my other plants just to get them some of the boogie brew I made.
