SUPER MONSTER

MARCTAKAHASHI 11/07/2026 — Day 1 of vegetative. I will be posting daily photos until the week is complete. The Super Boof has completed the initial seedling phase and is starting vegetative growth. It shows the first and second pair of well-developed true leaves, active new growth in the center, uniform green color, and a compact structure. It is kept in Janeco Light Mix substrate, in an intermediate container of approximately 2 L with good drainage and sides protected from light. Current parameters: * Mars Hydro FC-3000 + Adlite Blue * Approximate PPFD: 200–220 * Photoperiod: 18/6 * Temperature: 27–28 °C * Humidity: 55–65% Watering is controlled, allowing the substrate to partially dry before watering again. ATA Rootfast is used at 0.6 ml/L in moderate doses to promote root development. No growth base fertilizer has been applied yet. Goal for the week: strengthen the root system, develop new nodes, maintain a compact structure, and prepare the plant for future transplanting to 7 L.

MARCTAKAHASHI Start of week 2 of vegetative. Day 14 since emergence and day 8 of vegetative growth. The Super Boof continues with compact and uniform growth, with short and very compact internodes; the blue light helps a lot, firm leaves, and active formation of new nodes. During the previous week, it was transplanted into a 7 L pot with Janeco Light Mix substrate. During the transplant, Micro Vita from Top Crop was applied in contact with the root ball and ATA Rootfast to promote root development. Some fine roots broke during handling, but the plant has recovered well and shows no significant signs of stress. Current parameters: Mars Hydro FC-3000 + Adlite Blue lighting, photoperiod 18/6, and approximate PPFD of 200–220. Watering is kept controlled, and no growth base fertilizer has been used yet. Goal for this week: encourage colonization of the 7 L pot. Have a great day!

MARCTAKAHASHI Week 2 of vegetative growth completed. The first photo of this update corresponds to day 15 of vegetative growth and day 21 since emergence. The Super Boof continues to show strong and compact growth, with a thick main stem, short internodes, and good development of lateral branches. During this week, it adapted very well to the 7 L pot and formed the sixth node. The lighting was gradually increased to approximately 290–350 PPFD with the Mars Hydro FC-3000 and the Adlite Blue, maintaining a photoperiod of 18/6. The plant responded well, showing no visible signs of light excess, deficiencies, or over-fertilization. For watering, ATA Rootfast was used at 0.5 ml/L and ATA Terra Leaves at 0.5 ml/L, adjusting the final solution to pH 6.5. At the end of the week, the transplant to the final 50 L pot was carried out. The root ball was very well colonized, with abundant healthy white roots. During the transplant, Micro Vita from Top Crop was applied around the root ball hole to encourage colonization of the new substrate. After the transplant, a settling watering of approximately 7 liters was done, distributing about 1 liter around the root ball and the rest over the outer substrate. The next goal will be to let the plant recover and grow strong again before performing the first training cut.

MARCTAKAHASHI Week 3 of vegetative growth completed. The first photo of this update corresponds to day 24 of vegetative growth and day 30 since emergence. During this week, the first training pruning was done to create a structure of four main arms. LST was also applied with staples to keep the branches open and distribute the growth horizontally. The plant responded well to the pruning and training. The four arms have recovered, the tips are once again oriented towards the light, and the central cut is healing properly. Subsequently, the shoots from nodes 1 and 2 of each arm were removed, leaving the third node as a base to form the future eight main tips. The lighting is maintained with the Mars Hydro FC-3000 and the Adlite Blue, on an 18/6 photoperiod, with an approximate intensity of 350-450 PPFD. In the last watering, ATA Terra Leaves were used at 2 ml/L and ATA Rootfast at 0.5 ml/L, with a final EC of approximately 0.58 mS/cm and pH adjusted to 6.1. The goal for next week will be to let the preserved shoots gain length, equalize the development among the four arms, and prepare for the next pruning to go from four to eight tips.

MARCTAKAHASHI Week 4 of vegetative growth The first photo of this update corresponds to day 29 of vegetative growth and day 35 since emergence. The Super Boof continues to recover biomass after the pruning and training. The main structure of four arms is fully established, and the new shoots intended to form the future eight tops are growing quite quickly. During these days, I have kept the branches open using LST, allowing the new shoots to gain length and orient towards the light before manipulating them again. The plant looks healthy, with firm leaves, good color, and active new growth. The goal remains to maintain a low and symmetrical structure before the next pruning. On 07/08, I performed a watering of approximately 8 L, applied slowly, with ATA Terra Leaves 2 ml/L, ATA Rootfast 1 ml/L, and CalMag 1 ml/L. The solution came in with an EC of 0.59 mS/cm and pH 6.4. No flushing or additional correction was performed. Goal for next week: let the eight new tops develop their first nodes, keep them as balanced as possible, and prepare for the next pruning to go from 8 to 16 tops.
