HandsomeTerpz ## 🌱 Week 1 – Deep Mandarine | Restart with a Second Seed A small change of plans with my **Deep Mandarine by Delicious Seeds** grow. During the second week of the first plant, I noticed that **something wasn’t developing quite right**. The growth and overall appearance didn’t convince me, and rather than losing valuable time, I decided to start a **second Deep Mandarine seed** as a backup. This time I also changed the germination approach. Instead of starting her the same way as the first plant, I germinated the new seed **directly in a coco-based substrate**. The idea is to give the young root system a very light and airy environment during these important first days. Once she has developed a healthy and established root system, I’ll **transplant her into my regular soil mix** and continue the grow normally from there. ### 🌡️ Week 1 Conditions - **Stage:** Vegetation – Week 1 - **Height:** ~5 cm - **Temperature:** ~25°C day / ~20°C night - **Humidity:** ~65% - **Light schedule:** 18/6 - **Lamp distance:** ~45 cm - **CO₂:** ~500 ppm - **pH:** ~6.0 - **TDS:** ~200 ppm - **Current medium:** Coco-based starter substrate - **Final medium:** Soil - **Lighting:** MIGRO Array 4x4 LED So far, the new seedling is looking good and developing normally. 🌱 I’ll keep the original plant running for the moment, but this second seedling gives me the opportunity to compare their development and make sure I continue the diary with a **healthy and vigorous Deep Mandarine**. Sometimes a restart is simply the better decision when something doesn’t look right early on. 🍊🌱 **Deep Mandarine #2 is up let’s see how she develops from here.**

HandsomeTerpz 🌱 Week 2 – Vegetation | Deep Mandarine – Delicious Seeds Week 2 with the Deep Mandarine from Delicious Seeds. 🍊🌿 As mentioned in my previous update, I decided to start over with a new seed because the first plant simply wasn’t developing the way I wanted. Sometimes it’s better to make that decision early instead of trying to force a weak start. The new Deep Mandarine was germinated directly in coco substrate, and so far this little lady is looking much better. 💚 She is currently around 17 cm tall, developing fresh new growth and starting to build a nice structure. Conditions are sitting at around 25°C during the day, 20°C at night and 65% RH, with an 18/6 light schedule and pH around 6.0. For now, I’m keeping things simple and letting her establish a healthy root system before she will eventually be transplanted into her final soil mix. ? Restarting was definitely the right decision. Now we finally have a healthy Deep Mandarine ready for the journey. 🍊🔥 Let’s see how she develops over the next week!

HandsomeTerpz Deep Mandarine from Delicious Seeds is looking strong and healthy in Week 4. She is developing a beautifully compact and bushy structure, with relatively tight internodal spacing and vigorous side branching. Her large, broad fan leaves are especially noticeable and give the plant a powerful appearance. The main stem is getting thicker, while fresh shoots are pushing strongly from the nodes and quickly filling out the canopy. 🌱💪 The foliage shows a rich, healthy green and the new growth looks clean and vigorous. So far, she seems more focused on building a dense and solid structure rather than stretching vertically. Really happy with her development so far. Now I’m curious to see how much her structure changes once she enters the stretch. 🍊🔥 Week 4 – compact, vigorous and building a beautiful structure!
