Blueberry Blizzy - Roc Bud

PropogateThePlanet Had these outside the tent while some autos finished up. Spent a lot of time topping and training to spread the canopy out. Experimented with FIM and Supercropping. Official flip on August 9th. first time using fish shit. The only thing I’ve added to the reservoir. Try not to use organics in the autopot reservoir. May be harder than I thought it was going to be. Didn’t realize top down watering was off-limits.

PropogateThePlanet Flipped on August 9. The strain likes to grow and fill in inside. Did a pretty big defoliation and stripped down some of the lowers. Added a net to help with the stretch. I removed the fan and filter from the inside of the tent in between grows. placed it outside to make room because I know it’s going to be crowded. Also having intermittent fungus gnat issues. Treated with mosquito dunks solution. Will be feeding a seabird guano worm casting tea for the next feeding.

Also dropped the net down and spread out the canopy. Starting to stack up. Sugar to appear on leaves. Smell starting to come through. I love the strain but every time I grow it the smell makes me nauseous by the time I’m done. Super terpy sweet blueberry stank. By the time it comes out of the jars I’m ready for it again.

PropogateThePlanet Did a heavy feeding of casting / guano tea to support flower growth and address concerns about some early yellowing. Stacking up nicely tho. Realized I may have been under feeding a bit as I am getting used to using primarily organic inputs. These plants were vegging for a while as I was making that change so they’ve been along for the ride with me. My goal is to go all organic and phase out synthetics altogether. Everything I have down to my clones has had synthetic inputs at some point. I think these four are in a good place right now. Starting to fill out and plump up. Clipping off a few leaves here and there as they yellow out or if they’re starting to block the canopy.

PropogateThePlanet I’ve got two people telling me I’m crazy for not cutting these now. They’re not ready though. run these twice before, same thing each time . L The tops look a little cloudy. Still getting a slight amount of vertical growth canopy lights, helping fill in the bottom.

PropogateThePlanet Feels like we’re getting close. Still a lot of clear on the insides did a bottom feeding of sea bird, guano, and worm casting tea. Switched on the reservoir and running all RO with Mono silicic acid and fish shit. Vertical growth is no longer evident. Starting to get more sugar on the leaves. Last run of these I had more sugar on the leaves and less on the nugs than this run. I’ll take it. Pulled the humidifier and heater out of the AC Infinity AI controlled devices because it was using too much heat to reach target VPD’s. I have my temperature preferences set at 72 during the day and 65 at Knight right now. I caught it pushing 77. It was also cycling humidifier and heater on and off and ramping them up and down dozens of times per hour, which can’t be good for the Equipment. It does work. But it’s not quite optimal yet. Plants are still drinking quite a bit. Put another 5 gallons of RO/filtered water with fish shit and silica amendments. Currently drinking about 2 to 2 1/2 gallons per day. I’m gonna hold tight for now. Based on past experience with this same genetic, I should have another week or more. Trichomes will tell… curious if there are any differing opinions out there based on the photos if anybody looks at them. Always open to feedback.

PropogateThePlanet 9-20 - decided I was gonna pull these before. I went to sleep last night. Glad I looked again. Light green growth due to swollen calyxes. Buds swelled up quite a bit in the last 24 to 48 hours. Inside the calyxes trichomes are clear to cloudy. Fan leaves have a lot of amber. I popped off a nug and cut it and it was still very undeveloped inside. I had a Buddy with a lot more experience tell me that I needed to pull these two weeks ago. Glad I resisted. It was only after the calyxes swelled up that I realize how early it really was. Still very few Amber trichomes. Still drinking water too. gonna keep rolling with it. Definitely starting to fade a bit.

PropogateThePlanet Time to chop. Good amount of amber trichomes starting to show up on interior calyxes. Still drinking some water, but not fattening up. Definitely more Foxtailing. Not worried about that. Buds look great. I did notice some temperature spikes at the same time the last few days when I was reviewing the data logs. Right around 4 o’clock. I have my AC Infinity heater removed from the AI and I have it set to off. Minimum speed is set to zero. For some reason, it still kicked on the last few days. Good to know. No damage done. I unplugged that bitch.

PropogateThePlanet Chopped on September 25. Drying nice and slow in my *NEW* spare spider farmer tent. Picked it up very reasonably on their website as a flash deal. Very quick shipping too. Was About 0 out the door. It is 80 inches tall so 8 inches taller than the AC Infinity. Also about 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 so larger dimensions all around. It actually makes a very big difference. Other than that because of the low cost, and the fact that it serves a purpose I’m pretty happy with it. Since I didn’t go bottom of the line cheap I’ve got a nice little secondary grow area I can use for vegging plants and for drying. We’ll see on quality. For now, I’m cautiously optimistic. One thing I hate is how you have to open it like a goddamn garage door if you want to have any room to move. Basically the whole side of the tent, zips open and rolls up to the top. For now, my Lung room is in good shape. in a couple months, it will be cold down here. I guess we’ll find out what happens.
