Vash_XDC Transferred rock wool cube, in a cradle with expanded clay from the DWC system. Starting with a fairly soft fertilizer base, following the Plagron chart. I noted 10 liters in the irrigation volume, as the tank holds 10 liters inside.

Vash_XDC Unfortunately, being my first experience in DWC, I made some mistakes, including the low water level and the strong water jet from the ring, wetting the leaves and causing some issues. For this reason, I preferred to skip a week of updates and see if it would recover... I would say that by fixing these two things, things have improved quite a bit. Let's hope everything continues to go well.

Vash_XDC It's recovering very well, I was advised to lower the EC a bit and to do some defoliation at the bottom, to help it breathe better and reduce humidity in the center of the plant. There are 13 liters of solution in the reservoir, completely changed today.

Vash_XDC She's also growing quite a bit. I added water and adjusted the EC of the situation: in a week she drank about 4.5 liters of water and the EC dropped to 1. Brought it back to EC 1.5 and added 4.5 liters (2.5ml hydro root + 5ml hydro A + 5ml hydro B)

Vash_XDC It's growing so much! Yesterday, I did a complete water and solution change, raising the EC a bit. The root system is impressive. Soon I'll have to think about defoliating, but I don't know how to do it; it's really dense and full of inner branches.

Vash_XDC It's growing a lot!! It showed some signs of nutrient burn on a few leaves, so I decided to lower the EC. In a week, it practically drank 8 liters of water. I started defoliating to "thin out" the bush, as I was also advised, plus I put some clips for LST to open it up even more. Probably next week will be the last of the vegetative stage; I can empty the box, so it's switching to flowering. It's the bushiest and biggest plant I've grown so far.

Vash_XDC It grows and grows! Today marks the end of the vegetative phase and I'm moving on to flowering. In total, this week it drank a whopping 10 liters of water, I had to top up the reservoir twice. But there was a little problem this week, the air stone that aerates and stirs the bottom got disconnected, so I found all the solution at the bottom; in fact, the plant shows some minor deficiencies. I fixed everything and prepared a new solution for the switch (which has an EC of 1.8 always in 13 liters of water with a pH of 5.9). By the way, I should soon be able to remove its sister (the White Window) to have more space in the box and center the purple under the lamp, so I might try to open the branches even more. Let's see how it reacts to the change :)

For being your first grow in DWC, it's coming along really great! As for defoliation, here's a practical tip: look at the plant from above and remove all the fan leaves that are shading the lower parts. Also, take off any leaves that are growing towards the center of the plant, because that's where good air circulation is needed. Once you've made your way from the top down, it will be much easier to spot the lower branches or shoots that won't have any chance of developing nice buds or getting light: you can safely remove those too. But the most important thing is not to be afraid: be brave and use this experience to learn from any mistakes for the next cycle!

@Hempel420 thank you so much for the advice! I will definitely try to follow it :)
