It's that time again. Thanks to the guys over at spliff seed, I'm going to be running Power Plant. To my understanding it's a South African sativa IBL that comes out of the Holland.I love Durban Poison, so this is a no brainers for me. Going to be running a hybrid feed with vegamatrix and bio-bizz. Those 2 comboed gave me the best results thus far so work what works. She will be in 100% coco coir with some mycos & azos from Extreme Gardening.
She sprouted and streached a little. I put up a gard to help when she gets top heavy. I'm going to take a couple clones to play with to see if I can do some crosses. I was thinking maybe a NYC Diesel, or a Banji Haze..
Starting off week 2 strong, nothing really new to report. I put a picture of the light I use in the veg tent. The actual wattage use is somewere around 80watts. Since I am running pure coco I have to use nutes out the gate. I am using very low amounts of nutes, dont go over 5ml per gallon, or over 200ppms. That will change in week 3-4 when her growth jumps off.
So I lied😶😶😌😉 I thought I was going to use Vegamatrix & Bio-bizz, but I decided to go with Aurora Innovation-Players Pack: Soul line. It was a sample from Harvest Cup last year, from one of the Reps. I use a couple of there product already, and there nutients are a solid choice for coco. I use Half the recomend levels of nutes. The Soul line has a tone of Cal-Mag in it, so wont need to add any to the feed program.
Gave her her first actual feed. It only took a little over a 1/4 gallon to run through a 1 gallon pot and last for 4-5 days and then I'll give her a light feed of 200ppm just to make sure I dont over do it.
So starting out week 4 strong. She has grow some in the past week. I'm giving her half the recommended levels of nutes. On week six of veg I'll I'll up the levels to 500-700ppm, but right now I'll leave them around 300-400ppm. I added URB organics, Mammoth P & a touch of Superthrive to the mix this week. I will be using the URB & Mammoth P in the watering cycle once she starts using more than a 1/4 gallon a week. I have high Hope's for this strain.
Nothing really new to report. Just veging out. Going to let her veg till week 8 or 9 before I put her into flower. She is happy with the nutrients, no deficiancys or issues. I think I'm going to leave 1 set of branches and top her out to 4. We will see this week how she reacts to the first topping.
She is growing well. Really took off once the l fixed the lighting situation. My timer broke and I didn't notice it for about a week, so the tent was on a 24 hr light schedule. No issues besides slow growth. I topped her once already and will again at the end of the week when I take a couple clones from her to play with. She is happy with th light feedings(350-550ppm) the nutrient line I'm running has cal-mag in 4 out of 6 of the nutrients, so I don't have to have an added source. No issues or deficancys as of yet, happy growing.
So I am prepping her for flower next week. Doing a bit of training. I topped a set of the top branches and a topped her into 4 main colas. She is going to be a bush. I trans-planted her into a 5 gallon. The coco is mixed with Xtreme Gardening: Mykos and Azos. I also added 3 tsp. of Aurora Innovations: Elemental(cal-mag powder) I coated the hole of the transplant with Great White. I upped her ppms to 500-600.
So the start of flower is here 😌. I'm giving her a little worm casting, some cal-mag and a hint of PK booster. The cal-mag has N in it, so I'm hitting all my bases. I may put up a net to help rangle the multiple tops I have going. I'm going to give her a good defoliation at the end of the week jut expose those covered sites. Happy with the nutrients so far from Aurora Innovation : Soul line; players pack. No deficancys or issues as of yet and she is looking healthy
Okee-doke. On to week 2 of flower. She is coming along nicely. No issues or deficancys. I did a good defoliation to open up the lower branches and bud sites. Gave her a 12 oz of 750ppm/6.1ph Veg nute booster to help with the shock from the defoliation. No issues or deficancys, I impressed this far, cant wait to se the outcome and bud structure.
On to week 3 and she is Bushing out well. Her underside is cleared out well. Giving her only 200ppm water this week with only cal-mag, Mammoth p, urb organics & worm casting tea. Ive been using a 2 feed, 1 flush cycle and it has been working well in the 100% coco coir without issue with build up in the media, or deficancys. Maybe it's good genetics too😉✊big thanks Spliff Seeds.
She is on a roll. She is looking Beautiful, bud sites everywhere. No deficancys or issues. Doesnt seem to need a lot of nutes. Still a little streachy but that is expected with this heavy sativa. I threw in a touch of pk boost to help her along.
She is a beast as of now. She drank up the 2 feeds in the same week so this week I'm on her flush. Worm casting tea along with some urb organics and camag+ from ghe. She is stacking nicely. Sturdy structure and very branchy too. Cudoes to Spliff for some premium genetics.
I am definatly impressed with her growth rate and structure, she is forming a candy like floral aroma. She has medium internodal distances, staying relatively compact. No issues or deficancys.
She is a Beautiful plant..wonderful smell of candy, great structure and growth rate, I'll probably take her to week 10 of flower. She is hungery for P. So I added a little extra somthing, somthing to her mix. No issues and a slight P deficancys but nothing to worry about.
So on to week 8 of flower. Giving her only bloom booster and bloom nutes. She is sucking up a tone of K from her leaves wich is fine because she still has a tone of leaves to use up. She smells super sweet like candy, nothing like lime or citrus, but non the less, she smells amazing. Her stigmas are starting to turn red and her trichomes are swelling with all of them still clear. Over the next 2-3 weeks I will see the swelling of her buds and trichomes mature into the beautiful amber. Topping makes this plant produce a tone of buds all over the plant. She is branchy, but very sturdy. No support is needed as of yet. No issues.
On to her flush at the start of week 8. She is super frosty and most of her stigmas have turned red. Super sweet/candy fragrance going on, nothing citrusy. I am flushing her with ph'd spring water. It does better in my opinion than purified with holding ph. The PPM of the water is 044 so there is no real effect on the flush. No issues or deficancys.
All this girl is getting is spring water PH'd to 6.1. All her stigmas are red and her trichomes are coming along. I'm going to give her a nother 7-10 days, day 68-70. Amazing candy like aroma eminating from her. Not so much fruity though.
10/9(day 67) she has ambered up nicely. I gave her, her last push of strait spring water. She is sucking every bit of potassium out her leaves. Super candy smell. I'll take her in 4 days once she dries out, and then Exotic seeds: Mango Cream will be taking her place in the tent.
Super easy to grow. I multi topped her so she had a tone of bud sites instead of the larger colas. 46 grams after dry, would have to say that's not bad for a sativa. Pulled her at 70 days even though breeder said 60, she really needed the extra 10 days to mature. Smells like sweet candy with a funky back. She is definatly a sativa, dont smoke before bed if you want sleep, she will keep you up pondering the meaning of life. Super fun high, you want to go do somthing or get lost in thought. Would definatly recommend if you love sativas. You get that rush when first smoked and then wow space is fun.....haha. You do get a slight body buzz but the cerebral high definatly dominates the playground. Awsome genetics worth every penny. stable genetics and did not have any nanners that you find in some feminized genetics. I flushed her for 13 days prior to haves and she still held on to a lot of green. She was pulling K the week before I started her flush due to the lower levels of nutes. Non the less super frosty and sticky.
I smoked out of a bubbler and I vaped flower set at 370°F on an Apex. Smooth as can be on both. Ashe was a good grey color for how green she was when I chopped her.
