GrowerBaal Let's try an original classic. I got these Grand Daddy Purps (feminized) from the original breeder for relatively little money. However, they won't be completely fresh anymore, which is why I got them cheap. Since I had good experiences last time with a hydrogen peroxide mixture for germinating less willing seeds, I mixed 1ml of 12% hydrogen peroxide with 5ml of tap water this time to create a roughly 2% solution. The seed will stay in that for a few hours. This time, though, not 12 hours, but rather 8 hours, since I'm traveling early tomorrow morning.
In a 4L pot, there's Plagron Lightmix and some mycorrhiza. Later, a coconut plug will go in the middle on top, where the seed will be buried about 1 cm deep at the end, and then we'll wait.
After about 8 hours in the hydrogen peroxide solution, I have now planted the seed. In the end, the usual plastic dome went over the whole thing.

Yesterday, she poked her little head out of the soil. Germination took 3 days, which I find remarkable for what is probably older seeds. New seeds usually take three to four days with me as well. It could be coincidence, but so far, the hydrogen peroxide doesn't seem to have harmed her at least. Everything is going normally so far, and she measured 4.5 cm today.
Day 5 - 6.5 cm
So far, she seems to be doing well, and she measured 6.5 cm today. I'm leaving the dome on for at least one more day so that the second set of leaves can form properly. I haven't needed to water her yet.
Day 6 - 7 cm
Today, I removed the cover.

Day 13 - 8.5 cm
Yesterday, I gave her 140 ml of tap water. I will probably transplant her over the weekend or on Monday. So far, I've seemingly had good luck with her, as I can't spot any leaf miner trails yet. That will probably change at some point, which is why I think I’ll take a little break after her.
Day 14 - 9 cm
Today, I gave her another 140 ml of lukewarm tap water. I will transplant her on Monday.

Yesterday, on Day 16, I repotted her. I used Plagron Light Mix in a 20L fabric pot, but in the end, it was a bit too little, which is why the middle around the stem is a bit higher than the rest. Should be fine, though.
Anyway, this time I mixed 70g (3.5g per L) of the tomato fertilizer into the soil, as I need to figure out the right amount. So far, other plants showed no signs of over-fertilization at 60g in 15L. I also added some mycorrhiza. And in the end, everything was watered with 6L of tap water, 4L from the bottom and 2L from the top.
She seems to have handled it well because she looks great today and has even increased in leaf mass, and so far, she has fortunately been spared from the leaf miners.
Day 19 - 13.5 cm
So far, she's doing well and I couldn't spot any pests. I will leave her in the tent and soon switch her to 12/12.

I'm currently struggling with when to switch her to 12/12, or whether to top her first... okay, I topped her now. So she'll stay on 18/6 for a few more days. Before topping, she was 18 cm, now she's only 14. I'll water her in the next few days since she's evaporating less for now.

She took the topping well. Unfortunately, I wasn't careful enough and a branch broke when I tried to sink the anchor back down.
Day 28 - 22 cm
She seems to have recovered well from topping. I switched her to 12/12 today. She'll probably get water tomorrow, then I'll take a closer look at her.

Today, I gave her 5.4 liters of plain tap water at 24.6 degrees Celsius. I poured 3.4 liters from a bowl and 2 liters from above. The break on the stem hasn't healed yet and is still open; that's something to keep an eye on. Other than that, she's doing well, and I haven't spotted any pests so far. The 150W MH FC 1500 Evo lamp is now set to 100% and is about 40 cm away.
Day 30 - 25 cm
I noticed slight yellowing at the leaf tips, which indicates over-fertilization. Maybe I should use 60 grams of fertilizer instead of 70 next time.
Day 34 - 35 cm
She is now showing the first sexual characteristics of a female plant and will soon begin to stretch.

Today she got her water. She received 5.9 liters of tap water at 21.9 degrees Celsius. The break is healing well now. The temperatures have dropped due to the season and will probably not rise again.

She is growing well and her flowers are slowly forming. So far, she is doing great.
Day 41 - 58 cm
Even though the temperatures are no longer very high, she is stretching quite a bit. Flowering sites are now clearly visible.
