My week one is Silky’s week two, but only by a few days. I’ll harvest when the judges so command.

I was inspired by Silky to top them as early as possible. Typical practice says top when the 5th node appears. Silky says “why?, when at its earliest stage of growth it is less susceptible to stress, and recovers most quickly”. Silky’s method defies all standard knowledge. And she is fucking brilliant! Watch and learn, ladies and gents. That’s why I’m here!!

Week 3 was astonishing! Joking of course. That’s a local legal grow in the cover shot, but we’re here to have fun right, right? My babies have moved indoors permanently, on an 11/13 schedule.

They’re on an 11/13 light schedule. Can’t wait until they reach puberty!! Of note, my version of Silky style early topping Notice the single shoot node on what is the biggest one The clay pot proved to be no advantage. That plant is smaller than most.

Week 5 and they appear almost dormant, but I know roots are developing. I have 3 faves I hope I are girls, as noted in the pics. Once declared, I’ll pic my official entrant. While I’m not typically into bondage, I kinda want Lil Silky to show strong flowers, as it would be a fitting tribute to our hostess!

Flowers emerged this week. Under the microscope we see trichomes just beginning to develop as dots on the leaves

The Cup is my first indoor grow in a year and I had no good food on hand when we began. Been feeding them garbage house plant food so of course they’re tiny. But this week they got lobster, kelp and worm castings by Coast of Maine. They call it the Stonington Blend. Stone- get it? The untopped girl is my official entrant in the @Silky_smooth CUP. The strain name is my play on words to reference both Washington, and that untopped outdoors she’ll grow like a baseball bat. She was named Bryce Harper, but when he went to the Phillies, I renamed her Air Force Juan, after Juan Soto, #22 of the Washington Nationals professional baseball team. Lil Silky, my seedling trained Silky style, flowered as a boy. Imagine that! I used the Volcano method of seed selection to pre determine sex by examining the seeds carefully. My girl/boy ratio was 6/2, so there’s anecdotal evidence that in this tiny sampling the method appeared to work.

Even though she’s tiny, she has a big smell. The room is filled with her fruity, diesel-y goodness. Diamond the cat loves it and will eat it if I let her. Juan started as a Diesel Kush from @RoyalQueenSeeds in 2012. She’s evolved beautifully.

I changed the strain name because I saw this sign today, and it meant something special because of what a friend is going through. We could all stand a little more love, and a little less hate. And what better way than enjoying our sacrament! Enjoy whatever you’re vaping/smoking/eating

I believe side lighting that simulates mid morning or afternoon delivers more light to the under canopy than does directly above at 12 noon. These have been side lit without above lighting since they went into flower. It doesn’t matter with these tiny cups, but a real grow would benefit. Do you ever side light? What say you, @Nebula420? I forgot to do week 11 update on time! It’s only 2 days to the week 12 update, so I’ll trim what few leaves exist and make her look better in general. A little bit of purple creeping into the sugar leaves. The aroma is intense also. Smells fruity and piney. Tiny but mighty. Like the mouse. 🎶 Here I come to save the day!

I like to live trim my big plants so they look great at harvest. This little lady took about two minutes. It's a lot less labor and I haven't noticed increased stress. My naked eye would deceive me, as the microscope reveals she is no where near ready. I like my trichs half amber generally. Gotta finish at @Silky_smooth 's command. Well... that's no different than any other day, is it Silk 😏

The trichomes are starting to amber up nicely. Smells fruity and piney. I should grow 50 of these at a time and save veg time. Get the same yield in 14 weeks as doing 2 big plants in 20-22 weeks
