In the aero garden it seemed to be not thriving. I moved it into soil and have it in the main grow tent - but the main tent is on 12/12, so I move it to the aero garden light for the remainder light hours. This isn’t really sustainable so I’m not sure what to do at this point, other than keep moving back and forth. I will miss a day at some point and don’t know how bad this will be.

I think this week has been about recovery from the AeroGarden transplant and inconsistent light scheduling. The inconsistency is because my tent has other plants in 12/12 flower mode, so I have to remove it from the tent and put it under another light - sometimes I forget to move it in or out of light, plus the light outside the tent isn’t as strong. It seems to be recovering from the nutrient issue earlier as it’s just water with adjusted ph - I may have added some rooting nutrients (2-0-0), only small dose tho. I think i May have stunted this one. Considering an alternative light option.

So what happened since the last update that she grew so much? I took both plants to the cottage over the weekend and watched the natural sunlight trigger explosive growth right before my eyes! It was both ridiculous and awesome. See how the lighter I had for reference is now dwarfed by a plant with what I hope to be the sourest of the diesels. How did I bring them 2 hours away to cottage country? I held them in my lap the entire time. Smells nice too.

Week 6 -July 28-Aug 3 Aug 1 Fim seems to be taking! I’m having space issues so I know I’m not providing enough light. Working on a solution. July 29 So I tried fimming and everything went wrong. Well maybe, I’m not sure yet. I think the fim cut was a little too low.. then I noticed a tear on the leaf. I think it’s related to moving it around too much - outside to feed, then in the grow tent for better lights, etc. I may have swiped it with something. No other occurrences on any plant that I can see tho. Any thoughts on the fim? I want to move to a larger pot. Should I wait?

Week of August 18-24 Aug 19 Missed last couple weeks cuz <insert excuses> Not much on her except I named her Miss Mia Wallace. Still sitting on the balcony, growing much better than the grapefruit auto. Fimmed 2x now, and looks healthy. I’ve been keeping the soil pretty dry, yet lots of stem thickening and new foliage. I have no plan to flower Ms Wallace at this point as the tent is gonna be full for the next while. More soon..

Week of September 7 September 7 As I was writing this the page reloaded and I lost a bunch of comments. So here’s the condensed version. I harvested a small Amherst sour diesel couple weeks back and the buds are insane despite the small yield due to my fault. Decided to mainline this one - started to flower already outside... - just moved her from the balcony to in the tent - light is now consistent and despite a slow start, I expect a good couple weeks... - I am mainlining her and keeping veg for a while - I think reverting back to veg and the environment change took a bit out of her... - nicked a stem during the first top and the left vs right stem lengths have been disproportionate, but already noticed them balancing under light in the tent - just noticed an aphid issue on leaves from being outside. Clipped the impacted leaves and sprayed with hydrogen peroxide mix Plan on vegging her for a while as mentioned, so not in a rush really- just want this one to be fully ready, mainlined and at 100% when I flower. Due to the fact I want to yield a garbage bag of dank ass buds this time around. #kiddingnotkidding -

See the photos of the aphid (I think) attack. Online help = 🤯 sprayed the soil and misted the plant with hydrogen peroxide (1.5 tbs in 1 cup ish of water. Other plant also had spots on leaves. All clipped now. Is hydrogen peroxide enough? Rather not get another spray

From what you showed that doesn't look like aphid damage. Did you physically see aphids on the underside of the leaves? If you had aphids they would be all over your smaller leaves/buds sucking them dry causing leaf demormities they wouldn't bother with the large fan leave as much. This could be from watering with the lights on and the water droplets became magnified causing burn spots on the leaf. Try to water just the soil or make sure the leaves are dry before the lights come on. You will be removing this leaf at some point. It doesn't look like a deficiency issue either. Just stop defoliating the plant, and let her grow some new leaves. Hope this puts your mind to rest.

January 28 2020. I think I maybe missed a week or 4 months somewhere. Lot of changes. Just mainline lollipoped this one and kept it vegging. Been trying to get an autoflower to grow beside it but had a lot of issues. Main changes: - 5 gallon bucket with holes drilled in bottom - new soilless soil - 1000 watt quantum board - spider farmer (turned down dimmer to lowest setting) - insecticidle soap assault - nonstop trimming/pruning- yet also wild growth - neem oil - pissed off girlfriend - ease off the nutes and sorta figured out how to consistently get a good ph These were the big changes. Lessons: - soil from outside is a NONONONONO... trash the plant if you need to but you gotta keep em separated (who’s singin along? No one.) - get a big enough pot - do one plant right and skip the dreams of building a grow op with monthly harvests in a 2x2 when you have a lot of other shit to do in life. Yes, you. I’m talking to you young buck. - get a Dyson Vacuum. And hydrogen peroxide. And a mop. And a cleaning person that minds their own business. And finally - if you’re not gonna go balls to the wall, I don’t understand how you can possibly grow any plants with significant yield / quality / steady growth. You gotta learn as much as you can. I found a mix of adhd, OCD and procrastination helped me learn more than I thought I’d ever learn about this. Or a backyard with a lot of light. Then you can just f-off and don’t need to deal with anything. Oh yeah just flipped her over to flower today. I’M BACK BABY!

I’ve had this Amherst Sour Diesel vegging for months. Is there such a thing as vegging for too long? Also, Miss Mia Wallace (as ive makes her) has had her share of issues from soils to nute issues and thrips. All seem to be under control. Will this impact yield?

I've heard some things about overvegging yes but won't happen to a plant thats been in veg for 12 weeks.I know people vegging for at least 5 months with no problem. You only have to control its height and overall growth. as long as you don't have serious nutrient problems, soil problems like ph and bugs you don't need to worry.Unless problem is really serious,it won't cause any flop in yield and quality. We all have small nutrient excess , some pests , and temporary ph problems , if you can handle it well as you seem to be doing so,everything will be fine. You can just consider doing a simple flush to get rid of nute excess, your tips looking a little bit burnt.nothing serious in there, looking fine

Sativa-date 03 / 03 / 20. Captain’s log: supplement with nutes. Ms. Mia Wallace has had a lot of rapid foliage growth since defoliation last week. I removed the other plant I had in the tent as it was quickly becoming apparent that even 2 is a crowd. Increased the Quantum light dimmer, givin everything she’s got. Last time at max power, Ms. Wallace was suffering light burn, but now she seems to be lovin it. Soil also seems to be getting dry every couple days now, and the once nutrient-dense soilless soil run off is starting to run clear, but I’m a little nervous about adding more nutes as Ms. Wallace has had substance issues in the past, as last week’s photos should show. I have a trellis / net from a toy hockey net I had kickin for some reason - I imagine this would be good to use but it’s in a hockey net shape so I’m having issues finding the corners (among many others) so I’m not sure what to do. Also, I gotta get the carbon filter installed at some point. She’s getting stinky.

Noticed odd markings on leaves, some top or mid canopy some below. They vary also - from heat stress, shiny spots, residue from Insecticidal soap or wind burn in odd spots. I’m about 2 weeks in flowering. Temp was 27 degrees, had to defoliate massive fan leaves... see b4/after

Hey buddy! This is a nutrient deficency. Zinc or iron. Just up your nutrients on your feeding scheduel and feed them more nutes. You cought it early! They will be fine ✊👍

Ms Mia Wallace went to town and blew the f up. Lots of leaf growth but no sign of bud spots- I know it’s early days tho. Watered with half serving of bloom nutes. Not the ideal nute mix I think, but served me well last grow. Also, as I turned up the light to max power, I noticed heat stress so i turned it down and successfully installed the worlds most eco friendly trellis - one minute- hockey net - next minute - weed trellis. It’s called upcycling boys and girls. I know it’s shit, I’m gonna reinstall it one more 1/4 ass so it’s a full half-ass scrog. Point is, the canopy is flat, pushed that puppy down so there’s more distance. Light back to 100%. Humidity was a little higher under the canopy, even with the dehumidifier, so I put my inline fan back in (was just a booster in-line fan before) and the temp and humidity is dropping. Saw a little bug. Hit the top & bottom canopy layer with light neem oil spray then incecticidle soap. I saw a small critter so I put Diatomaceous Earth on a upside down Tupperware lid. Don’t know if that works. Last time I did a top coat of the stuff on top of the soil - something happened and bad nute burn. Anyone know anything about this? Finally, also tied down a bunch of branches to let the light hit the lower areas. Tune in next time, where I’ll show you how to make a trellis from a pair of spandex Leggings , Peanut butter and a single streamer from the handlebars of a kids bicycle. Keep your buds green, and your grow room clean.

Feb 18: addendum. Just a note to mention that although the baby bud sites are a plenty, Overall growth isn’t as dramatic as I have seen. I have been pruning fairly regularly through the first few weeks of flowering to expose light to the baby buds below, which is working for sure as they are getting bigger. No trichomes tho on the leaves - or anywhere to be seen. This is different from my last photo grow, a NL #5. Feb 14: Valentine’s Day so just a quick note Things are holding steady - bud sites a plenty! I think I fucked up the weeks. It hasn’t been 4 weeks

Feb 25 Miss Mia Wallace is growing nicely! See images Feb 19. I had a bad day. In general. Whoever is in charge of autocorrect on iOS update is either on GrowDiaries (in which case, bravo and what strain are you growing) or should be auto-canned. Anyhoo Miss Mia Wallace. Buds are boomin. Did a NPK treat. *TEST And looks a little low on nutes but otherwise ok. Agree? Comments on this? Would love feedback. The scrog net - installed by the autocorrect person as it turns out - still sloppy but doing its job. Turned down the power on the quantum board. Is intensely of the light the same as distance? Help! More to come after (*later) in the week. Took some vids also. Have a great day folks!
