This week, the cold and rainy weather unfortunately stayed (~15-20°C during daytime). The plants don't seem to make great progress with this conditions, but their resin production started to ramp up. Her scent grew also stronger, with some fruity flavors (lemon / tangerine). I occasionally defoliate the bigger leafs that block light to lower branches, but i didn't continue with LST, because the plant is opened up nicely.
After looking in some of other grow diaries on this strain, I estimate the harvest will be in two weeks. Some of the lower branches even a week later. Do you think this is too soon? The plant doesn't have as many trichomes as the plant of last year (photoperiod White Widow by Dutch Passion) and the buds need to thicken up more.
After last weekend, I'm afraid to give one more time PK-13/14, as I'm concerned to generate a nutrient lockout which is the last thing (beside pests) I want my plant to have.
Unfortunately, the mail didn't manage to bring the package by time so I have no automatic watering system like I wanted to install this weekend..
But if this weather stays like this, I'll install this system next year because it isn't necessary. But if the sunny, hot weather returns, I have to build it next weekend. I'll keep you updated on this topic.
I peronally hope the hot weather returns to fuel the last 2-3 weeks of flowering 😀
If anyone is interested, I can upload a photo of the white widow from last year (for bud comparison).
I also am planning to purchase a little grow tent (thinking about 60x60x120cm) to cultivate some (not too tall) plants during winter, so don't forget to look by in couple of months 😉
Hey there!
Thanks so much for growing our genetics =)
Good luck with your Blue Dream'Matic, let's hope we all survive the heat this summer haha! 🙌🏼
Happy Growing 💚🌱
Hi @Mrohio,
Thank you for your question.
First of all, I train all my plants with this training method, even with high-stress-training (defoliation, topping, etc...).
I've also read online that this strain really loves Low-Stress-Training, which my plant can confirm :D
Hope I could answer your question :)
