MONDAY: First week of flowering nutrients:
TUESDAY: Defoliated
THURSDAY: starting to feed with 2ml Top Bloom + 1ml Top Candy
Big One 1L sprayed + 2L water with Top Bloom
Plant Three - accidentally broke the top of the main stem while doing LST - be careful, don't do it when in a hurry!
It got bush again after less than a week, i think i am still waiting for the stretch, hope not too much.
I live 50m from the ocean with waves crashing on the beach, there is quite some humidity in the night, and i am worried about salt when the flowering starts. Should i be worried about it, what can i do?
The humidity is out of your control and their is nothing you can do outdoor to control the environmental factors unless you have a greenhouse with a ventilation system. With frequent watering and a good runoff you shouldn't have any issues with salts. I would bring the plants inside whenever you have rain that is expected. Only thing I would recommend is to defoliate to make sure you do not get bud rot and try growing strains that are mold resistant. I wish I had a problem like yours ;)
@CanaryGrow, idk about that, if it lets air through it will let salt-saturated air through aswell.... either you build a green house or you dont lol...maybe you can get away with a "greenhouse without walls" so that you keep the air flowing, but if there's salt in the air there's salt in your airflow... bottom line is : dont sweat bro !
Thanks for all the suggestions, i am lucky because i work from home so i have time to take care of the plants, i work on them every morning, they dont have any moisture at all in the morning,I put mist in the morning usually, probably i need to stop doing that so much soon. Here is hardly any rain tho, was raining half an hour yesterday, 3rd time this year i think. They are getting plenty of air, i had to move them in the corner of the balcony as i am afraid of the wind gusts, but the wind is here 24/7 especially during the summer, i could also plug a fan if needed. I also defoliate regularly, i defoliated quite heavily week ago and it grew back really fast. I am a bit careful with it as its my first time and i dont have the idea which branches will extend to buds.
One more question :) i have a cute little spider pet, i ve read it can be beneficial or should i remove it? Also i found couple of little white cotton animals under the leaves i am putting those out regularly but are hard to spot.
it works either way. they help fight against insects but also clot up your plant with webs. and i don't think that's welcome when the flowering kicks in since everyone wants clean buds
solid grow looking strong. good job on the training and it's a shame of the top that broke off. But as @Cannibal1988 said, sure to say we have all had this.
great to hear. Isn't that life, trying what everyone does and hoping it will be alright haha. happy to hear about the fast recovery, went through the same thing.
@the_curious_grower, thanks, its more or less guessing or repeating after others, and some common sense i think :) ITs interesting that where the top broke, the 3-4 branches below it just grew unbelievably strong in less than a week! New update coming soon, i think i finally got to the stretch.
@Cannibalgardens, yeah sucks, but i need to learn the hard way :) there was no possible way to stick it back, it jsut completely snapped right away and really easy lol
