Transition to flowering over the past week. Lights are now 12-12 and stretching has started. The one that i think is Green Gelato (#1) is stretching most, just like last time. The Gorilla has a slightly different leaf shape to last time. It was more indica style, but now looks hybrid. Both looking very healthy imo.
#3 was overwatered. Gave it the same as the other two despite it being smaller, and this is what happens lol.
There is damage on some of the leaves. it looks like a deficiency of something, but i reckon its from the fan as its only affected directly in front of the fan.
Temps are much better with the QB, i hope i will get the same amount of bud as the 250W HPS!!
Wow, that gelato is looking ripe! I bet she smells amazing. Looking forward to seeing those buds and a smoke report 👏
So glad I went with gelato over gorilla. There's something really pleasing about her colors. It's mouth watering.
@Korokotoi,
Hey man,
I've never used those nutes before, so not a definitive answer but I saw mine stay cloudy for a couple of weeks before turning amber. I would wait for most to be cloudy before doing the one week final part.
Should all be cloudy by the time it's done with maybe a couple of amber. One thing, make sure you check the calyx and not the leaves. Leaves will have amber long before the proper buds.
@Ashbash, Your Gelatos looks so sweet and good and big and really mature maybe too much for my "taste" heh heh.
My harvest time is soon - I have question - when I know is time to begin flush ?
I'm thinking that I'll do it this way - two days with plain water and 5 days with AHoH Final Solution ( manufacturer's recommendation - FinalSolution do not use with other nutrients - only water and FinalSolution) and then chop chop.
So I should recognize the moment 1 week before harvest. When the half tricomes are milky or all are milky or when see first amber one... specially by Green Gelato.
I don't want that weed is too sleepy and too relaxed - I like social and act stuff. 👈👉
And good luck with Gorilla
@happytrees,
It really is a lovely looking plant. Bases of the calyces are all purple, it looks fantastic. Better than the gorilla too IMO, but each to their own. This smells sweeter, the gorilla is more chemy.
Don't think it'll get through a full cure haha
@Psilocubensis,
Darkness doesn't make them change to my knowledge, but I'm going to look into that now, thanks.
I do know that touching them can make them go amber early for the wrong reason, so avoid touching the tops of you can.
@Ashbash, Wow, nice! I almost didn't find Amber trichomes. Do you think they would shown up after 48h dark? I see many clear, do they become cloudy while in the dark too?
@Ashbash, honestly if you have a good smell at the end you get a good dry and taste. If you don’t you get that hey smell :(
The nutes I’m using now in soil are incredible for the smell and taste it was overpowering and some of nicest taste I’ve had honestly
@PharmaZ,
Hmm, it would be good to try something else, I'll see about that.
I was using Biobizz on my first grow or 2 and was a little underwhelmed but I left it on the window and am pretty sure the bloom stuff went bad. I could pour loads into my water and still look deficient lol.
But a better smell would be marvelous.
@Ashbash, All sounds positive!
You’ve got the number one thing right, patience.
Something always happens, wether it’s life effecting your grow or yourself is effecting it, we’re always learning and improving.
I switch it all the time: nutrients, soil, coco, topping, LST, HST... the list goes on. Keep experimenting.
Organic smell and taste is by far superior IMO.
I would loose the GH nutrients your using. I started on them too.
I’d you can get your hands on the Green Buzz Liquids starter kit it is a great choice. All natural sourced organic nutrients and really good especially soil you can’t go wrong!
If you ever want a 2nd opinion hit me up bro!
I don’t want to be negative but see those yellow sugar leaves pull them if they easily come out then I would be worried about bud rot. If they smell like potato then you should be worried. Where you’ve pulled out the ones that have any brown on them isoect the are where you pulled out for white fuzzy mold. It happens to me and I’ve seen the sugar yellow like that.
They should never be yellow that’s a bad sign imo
@PharmaZ,
Thanks for looking out bro, Ive pulled them down already, I'll post a quick vid of them with a bit more detail. Always been concerned about bud rot but never noticed anything myself. I'll post tomorrow.
@CRiSPrGrow,
Thanks bro, got a good feeling about this one! I think the next step is to try and acquire some solid genetics in clones so there's none of this guess work. Although the RQS strains seem very stable.
looks fine at this stage but I’d still be inspecting the bigger buds around the yellow leaves for fuzziness.
As I said a dead give away for mold is a starchy potato smell. You won’t find that if you search it online but other people who have had bud rot will tell you that what it smells like.
Generally every plant I have had that’s developed it, the section of bud that is infected imidiatley starts to turn “watery” When this happens you lose all smell from that Section of bud the smell of mold takes over. That’s as much as I can give you IMOE.
Looks like you have a nice bit of smoke there, enjoy it 👍🏼
