Front left diesel

All have roots in rez but Diesel. Almost though. pH is drifting a bit but assuming it's from the oxygenated water and nitrogen absorbed in trees.
Using techniflora nutes per guide
Rez Temps and internal Temps are higher than I'd like. 74-78F and 81-91F. Future changes to Come.
End of week two. Still a learning process. I was getting some Temps in the low 90's high 80's and pH was rising fast.
I moved the air pump outside of the cabinet on the hopes of creating less heat inside whilst pulling cooler air from outside to pump inside the rez. The pH seemed to stabilize after this and Temps lowered. Still mid to low 80's but better than what it was. I also added a pc fan to pull more air from outside to inside. Temps haven't breached 84F.
Plants are starting to have a little smell to them which is heaven to my nose.
Still unsure about ppm. PH/nutrient solution was at 1080 per 2G of water. It's now hover in the 960-980. Good or bad I don't know. They're drinking about a gallon every few days. I have been topping off water only when level drops from 2 G to 1 G.
Also added 1mL of CO2 solution to the water as an experiment. I'll update on that next week.
Sunday morning both Kush strains showed some flaky spots. Not sure what it is yet. If someone could chime in much appreciation. Because I'm a noob. Not an idiot. Just new.
Also noticed a couple yellow tips here and there. Should I be concerned with the tiny bit and cut back nutes?
I found I had some serious root rot growing in my rez from multiple sources. Rez Temps were reaching high 80's but what I also found is one of my air stones was broken and not providing sufficient oxygen. I ordered a 4inch round diffuser to replace the cheap 8" blue stone. Air was still insufficient so I purchased a whisper 60 and man does it blow some air. So much more air than the eco plus dual valve variable pressure pump and I cant hear a thing which is key to a stealth grow.
I then drained my res and flushed it with RO water to remove the salt build up that may have occurred from the pH fluctuations due to the rez issues. After a couple of flushes I soaked the roots in the clean water all the way up to the bottom of the net cups.
I prepared another container with RO water and 3% h2o2. I'd say maybe a 1:10 ratio but that's a guess. I pulled out each net up with plant and rested them in a dark area in the mixed solution. Every 10 mins or so I would swish them around to help loosen the tangled roots and assist the h2o2 removal of the gunk.
Cleaned the rez with bleach and then rinsed and wiped with alcohol a few times. I refilled the rez with some fresh RO/nute solution and a mL extra of cal/mag since I am using RO. I also added 2mL/G HydroGuard to add in some beneficial microbes to do my dirty work :-)
Now with good air flow to my roots and a nice clean rez with fresh nutes I hand cleaned each set of roots in the h2o2 solution to make sure the contamination was removed best I could. I then placed each cup back into the rez. In order to keep Temps at bay I have been adding a frozen water bottle two to 3 times per day which is frankly a pain in the ass but it's keeping the Roots happy. Happy roots, happy fruits!
LST 3 of the four. The SOGK is still too small to really train but I've been moving the leaves around for more light penatration. The White Train is really taking off. And fairly easy to train. I just pinch and roll the stems to make them soft and it just starts to slowly sag. I use the green twist ties to lock them in place and within a few hours the colas (correct me if I'm wrong) perk back up to get the rays. OG Kush is lowriding hard right now but I was able to train the main stem to basically lay down so the under brush can get some light too.
The 200w CFL I'm using is for flowering so I'm hoping the plants will like it more once that stage comes. I will try and get a veg spek next grow.
For those who are keen eyed you may have noticed a few changed to the box. 😉 I installed a pc fan to pull air through the intake just like well a pc. I also raised the cabinet off the carpet to allow for thermal cooling. All sides of the box will now allow heat to transfer and escape. This has significantly cooled the box down. Last but not least I added a special touch to one of the empty net cups.
Yup that's right... Cool probe in the building. I didn't want to cut a hole mid grow so I figured I'd drop it right into an empty net cup, and what do ya know... Rez Temps steady 64-70 depending on time of day. It did cause my Internal case Temps to rise but as long as my rez Temps are good, I'm good.
Now that I have res Temps and heat damage and LST under control, I'm now focusing on PPM/pH.
From what I understand, if my pH is in steady range and my ppm is dropping then my plants are happy and eating well. Is that about right?
My ppm have been up and down. When I notice the water level has dropped and ppm is up I have been adding water. Which obviously makes the ppm lower by simple dilution. Hopefully I'll find that sweet spot soon where the plants love the juice I'm giving them.
White Train seems to love everything right now. The others have recovered fully from root rot. I switched over nutes to flower and so far so good . I'll report back as the week goes by.
Lots of growth lots of buds.
Recently upgraded my air pump to the whisper 60 and it is so quiet I can barely hear it. I wasnt satisfied with the vpm so I upgraded again to the whisper 100. Perfect massive amounts of tiny bubbles filling up the res.
These ladies have been really thirsty lately drinking 2L/day. I havnt been addicted nutes when I fill up since I switched to flower. From what I've read the concensus around the world when it comes to nutes in flower, less is best. What I will do is only add nutes during res change. I'll flush day 9 and refill with fresh nutes day 10. This should make it easier to flush come harvest time.
Two plants are close in schedule and the other two seem to be a few weeks behind. Def going to affect pre-harvest flush. Hoping plants will just use up stored food just like out in nature.
White Train buds are fattening up. She's all done with her stretch but now RQS Diesel is starting hers. Gonna be a world of green Instead if SOG.
Not much to say. Growth is literally out of control. I've managed to tie down colas making their way to the light, but for the most part I am not able to do much other than reep what I've sowed. As far as vitals go pH has been steady. Can't remember the last time I had to adjust pH. Nute solution starts at 1420ppm then I add RO H2O as needed until it's down to about 800ppm. Then I top off with 1420ppm nite solution. I've been doing that since flower began. They're eating like crazy though. I left for a two days and came back and the res was almost 2G gone. "The White Train" will be done first. My guess is a week or two.
Can anyone give me a better guess based off of trichomes and pistils?
Flushing with H2O and Florakleen. Still haven't quite figured out how to photo the buds. Maybe I need a fancy DSLR,or turn off my grown light. Idk. But I'll get a nice shot one of these days. Gonna flush for two days then add some sweets and calmag to ice up the thricomes hopefully.
From what I can see the trichomes are stretching and some have filled in and rounded off. Some are starting to recede and slump over. Getting close. Real close.
Still trying to figure out drying. I've read anywhere from 2 Days to 2 weeks. The only consistent info I can find is when the stem " snaps" it's ready for curing.
Chime in where needed. I appreciate all who follow and contribute and my successs is because of the support here.
Main Cola out grew the box. I could have trained a little better but with inexperience, eagerness, and impatience combined, it is what it is. Good news is I got to try my first ever home grown buds and damn does it feel good. Tastes good. Hits good. And damn does it smell good.
My bulb was brning up the main Cola so I harvested the main cola. I'd say about 50% red pistils, and 90% clear round head trichomes. Trimmed and drying now. I tried a little wet in my vape at 200C and I'm up and moving around ,head full of ideas and clairvoyancy. Followed by a mellow calmness. Near zero pain control but that was expected at this stage in harvest. I'm thinking my window will be open in a few days.
I don't think I will be flushing unless someone can change my mind. I flushed with florakleen for 3 days prior to adding sugars and calmag. Topping off with RO daily. Solution is down to 200 ppm when topped off which is the consistency of filtered water.
To my knowledge the sugar is swelling the buds so why not let them swell and file with glorious sugars.
I still have an entire plant of White Train yo harvest. Not to mention the other 3 in the box holding on for dear life. But now with that main Cola gone I can get in there and clean up with some defoliating and lst.
Harvested a few more. Mostly red pistils, and trichs are receding and clouding. Next harvest will be next week into the 11th week.
I do taste chlorophyll from the fresh buds when Vaped just as I read from some growers. It's not horrible though. Def looking forward to some dried, and eventually cured. And then some wonderful tinctures!
Medicated and happy.
Thanks again to those who have helped and along the way. Next grow with what I learned this time around should be great.
I harvested at different times so I can test the different levels of cannabanoids and their respective effects. The early harvest is definitely a more head high. Uplifting for sure. Then there is the middle harvest which had a downer effect after about 30 mins up up. Good for day time rejuvenation. No overwhelming drowsy effects after. Helped a bit with pain and muscle tightness as well.
White Train is resilient and fast grower. I think I had about 10 colas maybe more. I topped, bent, cut, broke stems and she just kept growing and never slowed down. Had a problem with root root from Rez temps in the 80's and grow room over temps near 100. First grow ever, and Tom's of issues, but still manages to held over 2oz in a stealth micro grow. Would def recommend this strain for noobs. Def not the hardest hitter but that's probably due to my inexperience. I will try again after I get some indicas harvested.
Room is getting cramped. All the plants have bounced back from what I'm sure was root rot. I treated the root rot and trimmed the suffering damaged leaves. Threw in some LST and they all seem to be responding very well. I'll make another detailed post about the treatment process for those looking for some more Info on the "how to" do this.
I'm not overly concerned with yield. Personal use only. Converting 75% of what I get to concentrate. Watching the video now. I like the grow boss vids. Thanks for the link
Some are cloudy. Pistils started to darken and curl up this morning. I'll get in there good with a mag tomorrow. Started flush today added some florakleen too. 75%of this grow is going to concentrate.
The White Train is out of control lmao. I swear it's growing by the hour. Compared to the others I would guess it's clearly a sativa. I'll have to look again at the spec sheet.
@Darkmanx, my auto kush would have been over 140 cm tall if i didn't bend the main cola. maybe more, right now she is psuhing 130, growing in 7 gallon pots in coco with root excelerator, but my kush got VERY BIG. I have 2 different auto kush strains going right now and they are both the tallest and strongest by far. I see why kush flooded the market years ago; it LOVES to grow, but she is HUNGRY
@BigDaddyK, I have been worried Bout tht. I am assuming since they are autos they won't get huge but my plan is to scrog the crap out of them and fill as much sqft as I can. First grow so its all experimental at this point.
Hey, I am trying to finish a 6 strain garden with a seedsman kush auto (started as an 8 strain), and I will tell you, the auto kush was my favorite. not for yield (the biggest by far, btw), but because whatever the auto kush suffered, the rest would suffer a couple days later (except the NLxBB).
she is the canary in the coal mine of my crop. I am growing in coco under LEDs and she seems REALLY cal hungry, but my medium certainly factors into that and may not apply to you.
It is also the highest yielder by far but its still going. Really good strain,
following your grow. Good luck!
@Darkmanx, imho, you would grow way better and yield way more without the box. You look like you are keeping them happy, that is worth 10x what the box is worth. That Kush can be a monster. Just something to think about. Don't let the box limit you.
@mulch, good to see some success from this strainm I'm learning a vast amount from this grow. Starting to understand @BigDaddyK asking me about growing 5 in my little box. Room is getting cramped.
You should be able to flush for 2-3 days without hurting the other two. Just watch the leaves on the other two. Feed flush harvest feed flush harvest..... do it all you need. I have 47 branches to harvest so far I've harvested 1,6,3,6 at various times feeding in between (see my diary) and will still have at least 2 more harvests before my 3 plants are done. Some branches just mature faster. "Harvest no bud before it's time" Ed Rosenthal
Looking good!
I just started my first grow and am seeing some similar issues with some necrosis on my leaves.
trying to figure out if it is a cal or mag issue myself. Following and wishing you the best on this grow!
@Shydro, thanks for stopping by. I'm going to top flush today for a few hours and then change res with a few extra tsp of CalMag since I'm using RO. It's only the kush that has the spots. Temps get to mid 80's so could be a combo of both. Good luck.
2weeks is probably short but 3 might be long.
Can you see the Trichs magnified?
Do they have bulbous heads?
They are probably still clear or maybe mostly clear?
I’ll post a photo on my diary and tag you.
I'm doing the same diesel middle of week five she started to flower .in the last 2 weeks she's showed great growth I hope you all the best on your three strains mate I will follow with
Man that box will not be able to handle the Diesel Auto size, take a look at my diesel auto in my diary, just to have an idea how big she will get. You will probably will need more watts in there, as rule of thumb if you veg a plant with X watts you will need 2X in flowering. Take in mind that the buds will loose about 75% of their weight after harvest.
Take a look at this video www.youtube.com/watch this guy knows what is he talking about.
@BoneCrusher, thanks for the good vibes. If I could grow in a tent I would but at the moment it's not possible. Plus to be honest what I'm growing now will last me a year. I medicate as needed for pain. My bong ripping days are behind me but I do enjoy some edibles and tinctures
@Darkmanx, I mean dont get wrong man, micro grow is totally possible, but the Grow boss has its valid points and sadly he is right about the math, space and light, however at end everyone grows with its own method. I wish you the best of luck, but regarding the space you dont need a huge grow tent. I grow in 48”x24”x60” tent it cost like 70$ that perfectly fits in a closet.
@BoneCrusher,had to turn it off. Dudes condescending tone throghuout the video was getting to me. Maybe he had too many donuts the day he filmed and was Ona sugar high. Idk. Everyone doesn't have the luxery of a big 5x5 tent. Any amount I get will be more than I have now and that's my main concern.
I've Learned a vast amount from this grow and next grow I will probably only do one but either way things are looking good and the grow boss needs to stfu cuz I think he worried about his business and not us. If he were then he would be helping those In need growing in small spaces instead of criticism and demonstrative bashing of a product he has ever tried.
It's almoat like an industrial farmer belittling a backyard crop. You work with the space you have.
