First Try LSD-25 (TY FastBuds)

Germination Day 0 - Just received seeds today and started germination with paper towel and ziplock. Will keep updates going and start with day 1 when first set of leaves appear. Germination Day 1 - Pulled her out just to see what she’s doing and she hasn’t quite cracked like the other two yet but I suspect she’ll be cracked and taproot out tomorrow, like the rest. Germination Day 2 - Taproot is out and placed her in the humidity dome and jiffy pellet, now just waiting for her to break soil. Not sure if I want to go to solo cups next or just place her straight into the final pot. Day 1 - Little girl is sprouted and above soil so I’m calling today, day one. Doing a little test between the three new girls. Starting this one in a 5 gallon fabric pot and the other two in a solo cup and 3 gallon fabric pot. First leaves on this one are a little yellow but she just came out of the ground so not panicking yet. Day 2 - Nothing major happening, she’s just starting out so just doing some updated pics. Day 3 - A little water for this girl today and watching her do her thing as she grows. Day 4 - All’s Looking good so far, looks nice and healthy. Day 6 - All looks good and this is the girl I’m looking forward to the most. Haven’t had any issues with her so far and has looked good from the get go. Day 7 - The end of week 1 and this girls looking pretty good. After having some issues of everything starting to yellow a bit, leaving the door to the tent open a bit for some more airflow seems to of helped. Everything is starting to get that nice shade of green again.

Day 8 - Starting week 2 and she’s looking good and healthy so far. Gave her a bit of pH’d water and letting this girl do her thing. Haven’t really had any issues so far but it’s early so we’ll see how this grow goes. Day 10 - All is looking good so far. Really looking forward to this grow and hoping she shows a lot of purple when she starts to flower and hoping I’ll get a bigger harvest trying this girl out in a 5 gallon fabric pot. Still got some time to go but just some of the things I’ll be looking for. Day 11 - Added a couple inches of fresh soil to the top of the pot. Seems like after a couple waterings, things packed down and want to make sure she’s full. Other than that, she’s looking pretty good. A couple of the bottom leaves are somewhat twisting but nothing too bad. Haven’t given any nutes and temps haven’t been high, sitting around 78ish. So not sure what’s causing it, I’ll just keep an eye on her for now. Day 12 - She’s looking nice and healthy but a bit of twisting of a couple leaves. Could be the intake fan that was blowing right on her but did a double check if pH and started a light feed today and pH is at 6.5. Just sprayed a bit about 4 inches from the base of the stem to help the roots search out water. Also started measuring the width of her to help keep track of daily and weekly growth and right now she’s at 5 1/4” wide and 2 1/2” tall. Day 13 - Closing in on the end of week 2 and the girl is looking good. There wasn’t any upward growth but definitely some growth width wise, she’s now at 6 3/8” wide and 2 1/2” tall. Have one of the LED’s shit off for now to try and get her to stretch out a bit more. Other than that, no water today, just letting her completely dry out. Really want this grow to go good and don’t want to screw anything up.

Day 15 - Starting week 3 and so far so good. I’m gonna start the foxfarm feeding schedule tomorrow and hoping to start some LST in the next week or so. She’s now 3” tall and 7 1/8” wide. Day 16 - All is looking good so far with this girl. Gave her a light feeding according to the foxfarm chart. Hoping to start some LST this week. She’s sitting at 3 1/4” tall and 7 1/4” wide. The girls are drinking a ton of water right now. Gave them a nice light feeding yesterday and normally when I water with a small amount, they’re still damp the next day but she’s pretty dry a couple inches down. Still gonna hold of on another watering until tomorrow at the earliest. She’s looking good and growth is really starting to pick up. I’m hoping to start LST soon. She’s now 3 7/8” tall and 7 3/4” wide. Day 18 - Started a little LST on this girl to get the lower chutes started. Only tied down the main stem for now and will continue the process as she grows. Hopefully she won’t be too stressed and recover fairly quickly. Based on past experiences with other a couple other strains, she should be fine. She was at 4 1/4” tall before tying her down and she’s at a little of 3” tall now. She’s tied down low enough that the other chutes should have plenty of light now. Gave her a good watering of pH’d water and cal-mag, soil was just about bone dry. Day 19 - This baby girl recovered well fro the LST. Going to let her be for a couple days and get some more height before working some more LST. All in all she’s looking good and growing great, no real issues so far. Day 20 - She’s doing really well so far with the LST so I retied her down in a different direction, sort of making a circle as she grows. I repositioned the pipe cleaner but next time, as she grows, I will leaves the first one where it’s at and add new pipe cleaners as I tie down new growth. Noticed a couple pistils showed up today so really looking forward to the next several weeks and she really starts growing. I gave her the first real feeding with nutes today so will keep an eye on her to make sure I didn’t over do it but I think she’ll be just fine. Will give her a few days before giving her plain pH’d water with cal-mag. Next feeding I will probably start nutes for flowering, depending on what she’s looking like. Next feeding will most likely be next week sometime. Will pick up the feedings to twice a week like the foxfarm feeding chart says, once she can start handling more water. Day 21 - Ending week 3 and she looking gorgeous. Started rotating around the pot with the LST so really hoping the lower growth starts shooting out soon. Still fairly early in her life so plenty of time to get her shaped the way I want and get other chutes going. A couple of pistils showing but still thinks she’s got a little more time before she’s in full flower. Keeping an eye on the fungus gnats that were hanging around my Gelato but they don’t seem to be bothering this girl or the C4.

Day 23 - Starting off week 4 and May favorite girl is looking pretty good. I’m still waiting on a little bit more stretching before doing more training. Gave the girl a nice drink of pH’d water with cal-mag so hopefully that’ll keep her happy for now. A few more pistils are showing and some of the lower growth is starting to grow and stretch a bit. Hopefully I’ll have her shaped up and ready when she goes into full flower. Day 24 - This girl seems like she’s really starting to take off now. I did a little more LST and hoping everything below will start getting more light and start stretching to even out the canopy. Gonna let her dry out a bit more and then will give her the first week 4 feeding. Thinking she’ll be in full flower mode next week. Really can’t wait to see the purples and color come out. This and the C4 are my first purple strains so hopefully they meet my expectations. Day 25 - She’s looking really good and showing quite a few nice bud sights. I removed a couple fan leaves and tucked a couple others ones after I tied her down some more and her lower branches are wide open to the lights now. I just need the branches to start stretching and catch up to the main cola. I’m really starting to like the shape she’s coming into. I gave her a good full week 4 foxfarm feeding today. Really hoping and waiting for those lower branches to catch up. Day 26 - She’s looking good and the light has definitely been helping the lower branches, they’re starting to stretch. Technically she is starting to flower but still calling this week veg and will start flowering nutes next week. Gonn let her grow and stretch a bit more before continuing the training. Looking forward to the purples. Day 27 - She’s looking fairly decent and still growing and not really starting to flower just yet. She definitely got more and more pistils popping but nothing much more than that. Looks like the slight yellowing of the lower leaves is getting a bit better but gonna continue to monitor her. No water or feed today, still letting her dry up. Day 28 - Ending week 4 and looking decent but not quite as big as I thought she would be, especially being in a 5 gallon pot instead of 3 gallon. Not gonna complain too but cause she’s flowering. I started germinating a second seed yesterday, just in case I don’t get much from this girl but we’ll see. Gotta keep the rotation and continuous stash of meds on hand. Gave her a full drink of pH’d water until runoff today. Next feeding, when dry, will be bloom nutes as she’s definitely in flower now.

Day 29 - Starting week 5 and looking pretty good. Not quite as big or as many bud sites as I’d like but overall still pretty healthy and will provide me some medicine. Once she fully dries out, I’ll start providing her with a weekly feeding of bloom nutes. Day 30 - Nothing much going on, she’s just doing her thing. Took her out of the tent for a few updated pictures and she’s just about dry so will give her a feeding of bloom nutes tomorrow. Day 31 - Pulled her out today and gave her a full feeding of the foxfarm trio. The pot was pretty dry so she was definitely ready. She’s stretching at almost an inch a day and can’t wait for the purples to start coming out. She’s almost got a pink hue to her so in another couple weeks, she should be looking gorgeous. Day 32 - Nothing much new, she seems to of taken the nutes just fine and letting her do her thing. Day 33 - Nothing much new, she’s doing her stretch and tied two branches down because they were in the way. From here on out, I should have to tie anything else down. Day 34 - Didn’t do anything to her today but she’ll be ready for a heavy watering tomorrow. Getting super stoked, I’m starting to see the purple spreading now and loving it. Day 35 - Ending week 5 and she’s looking great. Not huge but she’s nice and healthy. Gave her pH’d water today till runoff and once she dries I’ll give her a feeding halfway through week 6. She seems to really be drinking a lot now so I’m gonna keep my eye on her and make sure she gets fed and watered when she needs it.

Day 36 - Start of week 6 and no complaints. Colors are starting to stretch down the leaves and everything looks great. Only took her out for some pictures and to tuck a few leaves. Day 38 - Tied a couple branches out today to open her up a little more. The purples are really showing now and the smell is starting to get a bit stronger. Will be giving her a week 6 feeding either tomorrow or the next day, she’s almost dried up. Day 39 - This girl is looking great!! Just like the others, gave her a nice big drink of pH’d water with cal-mag until runoff and runoff was around 7.0 so I’ll lower the pH just a bit next feeding and shoot for around 6.2-6.3 and hope to get everything on track. Other than that, it doesn’t look like it’s bothering her too much. The branches that were tied down yesterday are already turned back up and reaching for the lights. Day 40 - No major changes right now! Just took her out for a little leaf tucking and an overall look to make sure she’s not showing any signs of deficiencies and such. Day 41 - I’ll be giving the girl a feeding tomorrow. She’s just about dry and looks like she might be getting a little hungry. She’s starting to fill in and fatten up a bit and don’t think there’s gonna be much more stretching. Still looking like I’ll get a decent yield from her and got one more seed that I’ll try later in the Coast of Maine soil. Day 42 - It’s the end of week 6 today and she’s really starting to fill in and fatten a big. The only thing that would make me happier with this grow is if she was a bit bigger but still should get quality bud out of her. Held off on a feed today and will do it tomorrow at the start of week 7.

Day 44 - It’s week 7 and she’s still plumping up nicely. Gave her a feeding of the foxfarm trio pH’d at 6.5 and 1220 PPM. According to the feeding chart, PPM should be 1900-2200 but a little yellowing on leaf tips so keeping it a bit lower than recommended. Overall looks good. Day 45 - Nothing much going on today, she’s just doing her thing and getting nice and frosty. Just took her out to tuck a couple leaves again and get a few updated pictures. Day 46 - I’m thinking she’s got about two weeks left. Thought she had a bit more time but looking at the trichs, it’s all cloudy with a couple amber and clear mixed in there but most pistils are still white. Just gonna have to keep an eye on here. She’s got a really sweet yet funky shoe smell to her. Gonna go ahead and give her some pH’d water tomorrow and most likely done give her any nutrients. Day 47 - Not much to report, gave her a full gallon and a half of pH’d water and cal-mag. Lowered the lights a bit to give the girls a little more intensity. As of right now, it’s looking like she’s got about 2-3 weeks left but we’ll see. Still has a few clear trichs in there but mostly cloudy with a few amber as well. I’d like to go 50/50 cloudy to amber. Debating on stopping the nutes and giving her just water but might end up doing one more feeding. Tested her runoff today and right at 6.3 and I’m fairly happy with that. Day 48 - Nothing really going on!! She’s still filling in and fattening up. Since she’s starting to get close to harvest, she done getting nutes, unless she absolutely needs it. She’ll be getting straight water and cal-mag until harvest. Next watering will be 2-3 days from now.

Day 50 - Starting week 8 and things look like she’ll be ready for a chop in two weeks. Giving her straight water from here on out to get all the leftover nutes out of the soil. Day 51 - Thinking this girl is probably down to the last 7-10 days looking at the trichs but if she keeps popping out white pistils, I’ll let her go till that stops. Gave her a heavy feeding of straight water today. Day 52 - Did a bit of defoliating today since she’s getting close to harvest. Want to maximize the light to try and get as much out of her as I can. She’s definitely not a big plant so anything I can do to fatten her up. Day 53 - Looking great, nothing too much to report. Just pulled her out for some daily pics and to check the trichs. They’re mostly cloudy still with some amber in there but she’s still pumping out some white pistils so until that stops, I’m gonna let her go. Day 54 - She’s coming along nicely and looking at her, she might be ready for a chop this weekend. Don’t really see anymore white pistils, they’re all orangish/red and starting to shrivel up. Still gonna let her go until I get what I want out of the trichomes but looking like this weekend but I’ll be checking her trichs daily!! Day 55 - Not sure what I want to do. Looking at her and the trichs, she’s probably ready to chop any day. If I do, I will chop this weekend but just not sure cause it will only be around 60 days from seed and FastBuds says 8-9 weeks so that’s right on par with they’re schedule. I’ll check her out Saturday and see what the trichs look like and if I think she’s ready, she’ll get the chop. Most likely will give her a nice flush with water and foxfarm’s Sledgehammer tomorrow. Day 56 - It’s the end of week 8 and since she’s just about finished, I went ahead and flushed her with 2 gallons of 6.4 pH’d water and 20ML of foxfarm’s sledgehammer so we’ll see how she’s doing this weekend and will most likely chop on Saturday.

Day 57 - Starting week 9 and thinking I might give her one more week or so. Might end up chopping the top colas and letting the bottom buds catch some light for a week and then harvest the rest.

Overall the grow for this strain was fairly simple. She didn’t grow as big as I would of liked but still got a decent harvest of 81 wet grams out of her. She took very well to LST and any defoliation that I did to her and can wait to grow her again. Will update in a couple weeks with the smoke, taste and overall effect of her.
