amazongrow Hi bros,
This is our second grow from a respectable seed bank, this time we are going with Green House Seed, original White Widow.
08h in a cup of water
2 days in soil and sprout
Day 3 got out of her shell and went inside =)
Soil is:
- Carolina Soil (50% vermiculite + 50% spagnum)
+ Azomite
+ Endo Myco
+ Wormcast humus
+ Neem Seed Meal
+ Bone meal (a tiny bit)
She will change pot (14l) after around two weeks for veg and flower.
Nice to be here again... waiting to hear from you.
Any tips for this particular breeder and strain? Another classic, ain't she?
Tchau, do Brasil :)

amazongrow Started her feed at day 08 with 1/4 dosage on 500ml of water.
She is fine and seems to like the light from the QB. Lights were 35cm from her top and internode space was too tight so I got her down and the cola is 55cm from the light source now. Again, she looks like she is enjoying.
Let’s hope she deals with her first biogrow feed. I took care and went 1/4 of the recommended dosage.
Bye, from Brazil!

amazongrow Hi bro(s),
This week was busy, she got transplanted to her final resting place at the beginning and we started our JEDI LST training - she was bent over and toped a little later on.
I think she's fine, a little slower at first but getting on the right track, just growing with the flow =)
Got up with the bio-grow on her second watering after the feed... she took it well, but I will keep it slow as I added a few amendments that are high on N, such as neem cake meal, wormcast humus and fish bone meal.
Tchau, vejo vocês em breve! =)

amazongrow Hey bros,
Im taking a little longer to grow then my previous sister, the NL from Sensi Seeds, but I'm healthy and beautiful. My leaf color is great, don't you think?
I was bent those days and now Im starting to grow stronger and stronger. My daddy is waiting another 10 days and then he's going to me into flower...
What do you think, when should I go to flower? Do i stretch much? Please advice.

amazongrow Hey bros, she is fine. It seems she got TMV at a few leaves, but I heard if it's not stunting growth or anything, that it is fine. She's also a lone child, so I can't cut her or something like it. I will leave her be, my guts tells me she is fine. And she grows more and more everyday.
I'm thinking about flipping her to flower in a few days, maybe around 20... she already got at least 12-14 tops that will grow directly into the light and all the other nodes are growing. I'm betting that she will stretch and spread the tops into the light.
What do you think?

amazongrow Hi bros.
I think we got the Tobacco Mosaic Virus, twisted growth, yellow veins, burned leaf areas... but I 've read if it's not stoping the growth, let it go.. I bet, cause I only got one plant at a time. She never stoped growing, though at most affected tops I think growth got a little slower.
So, gave her feeding between pure water, at 3 days ratio, 2l.... went up to 0.75ml/l with Bio-grow, and now signs of overfert. The soil has lots of flowering amendenments so I will start slow with Bio-bloom next week when we flip to flower.
Let's go. Happy growing to you all...

amazongrow Hi bros,
Got her fed with 1ml/l Grow now and Bloom. Also I've added up some more amendnments, Fish bone meal, Alfafa Meal and Granular humic acids by Down to earth, they say to put some 5-10g everymonth, so I did it as we are already 8 weeks from day 01....
Despite the TMV infection spreading to more and more leaves, she won't stop growing! I think she's turning this into something like: 'if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger' =)
So, let's go flowering!
See you later, folks.

amazongrow Hey bro(s),
I've been busy so, I got little time to update the diary, but we got lots of twisted leaves, maybe TMV, AMV (Alfafa), Ca def, or, or... so we, me and her, decided to let it grow... she's in the 13th day I she's going strong, I little affected I think she could do better without all the twisting and shouting, but.. she keeps going on, anyaways, she's a lonely child, you know? we got to keep the good vibrations and hoping for the best... =)
I used Alfafa Meal in the soil and I heard about the Alfafa Mosaic Virus - that got me thinking, maybe this? I kinda let it go with the Ca or any other deficiency because I used Fish Bone Meal, Azomite, Dololmite Lime powder, Humic Acids and wormcastings in the soil preparation... what the hell, PH? but what about all those twisting? Let it grow =)

amazongrow Hey bro(s),
Been busy and lazy, sorry. There are some curly and twisted leaves with dead spots but they are contained, as per se.. or spreading slow now... there are plenty of green leaves and I wont take any of the green leaves till the end, because she is already behind for the dead spots showing on the infected parts... well, she keeps growing.. I think without the twisted she would do better, but she is strong. I love my lady anyways. =)

amazongrow Hi bros,
It's been a while but we finally got an update. She's a little slow, but she keeps going on strong.
I don't think the net contributed much for her plans, but it's already there so I will leave it.
Anyways, I guess I should have defoliated a little bit more and pruned some lower growth early to middle flower, there's a lot of stuff going on in the shadows, but because she was already affected by the twisting and shouting I let it go without bothering her.
So, after a few mistakes we are still here - growing and learning!
A few weeks left to go.
Another update coming soon.

amazongrow Hey bros, how is it growing? Happy, I hope.
So, she's going stronger everyday, still fatting up those buds, I'll let her go for 10 to 11 weeks I guess, she will tell me.
I'm planning on using KoolBloom powder on the last week, or last two weeks, what do you think? I'm betting it will fatten up those buds even more.
I'm planning on feeding till late week 8, KB on the 9th (alone), and plain water for 10-12 days.. what do you think?
See you soon.

amazongrow Hi bros,
This is the 54th flowering day, so I mixed 0.6g of KoolBloom + BioHeaven and Biogrow (as listed above).. the ph of the solution was 6.2, and the ph of the solution going out was 5.4, is this ok? how can I deal with it? Now that my ph pen has arrived, Im leaning towards ph problems causing nutrients lockout/burn + genetic variegation, as pointed by BudX on the questions. What do you think?
Let's see how she deals with the KB. I gave her 1/2 strength dosage and the ppm was 355 I think, not as high as I expected, but still I did not put more. Let's see how she deals with it.
GH guys say to give powder KB for the last 3-2 weeks before flush... I started at day 01 on week 8 and if it's ok I will add some more on the first day of week 9, giving her 10-14 days of pure flush after.
I will let her free and take out the net.
Give me your thoughts, ok?

amazongrow Hi bros!
After all, she's looking nice and I hope she's ready around nov/29. The lady drinks only water, with 20% runoff. But she is drinking less by now, went from 2/2 days to 4/4 days and given around 5L. In the past she got 3l with little or no runoff.
I will add some microscopic shots of the trichomes later on.

amazongrow Hi bros!
Last week, had a 30l flush and then she went dry and will be cut next. =)
Bye, from Brazil!
I think this plant needs some extra cal-mag for flowering, we got a few burned tips and twisting of the leaves but after all nothing would stop her. The yield was much more then I predicted. The buds are heavy and dense, full of smell and I hope flavour. I will definitely be growing again with an adapted nutrients and watering tactic.
I will updated the rest of the information as soon as I got to taste the result from the first two weeks cure.
Hello again, I'm back a few weeks later and I have tried different class buds, the B and A are awesome, and the C is just tasteful but very weak until now. The larger batches (30 and 50g) are around 10 days each, and I look forward to try some everyweek, but meanwhile im smoking the class C popcorn. Time will bring the good news. =)
Thanks for following, I hope it was fun. It was for me.

amazongrow It was a pleasure to grow such a classic. I can't wait to taste the results. The buds were heavy and dense, they weighted much more then I thought they would. I'm very happy and the smell is awesome!
The buds smell and feel delicious.
Thank you for following our adventures!

I will updated the diary as soon as the first two weeks cure is over and I taste it...
Thanks for following our adventure!
Tchau, do Brazil!
Two-toned leaves usually have split coloring in a relatively straight line. This mutation often affects just one or two leaves on the whole plant, though sometimes you’ll get a whole stem or part of the plant that displays this characteristic. The two-toned leaves don’t seem to have much effect on anything, but it’s kinda cool looking! I am seeing a calcium deficiency that is those brown spots on leaves. If grow medium is acidic (below 6.2 pH, Calcium can get locked out even if the Calcium is physically there). In hydro, calcium is best absorbed by the roots in the 6.2 – 6.5 pH range (in hydro, it’s generally recommended to keep the pH between 5.5 – 6.5, but calcium specifically tends to be best absorbed above 6.2)
@AmazonGrow living and learning, I didn't know that... I did some research to find out what it was about, I found an interesting part;
“Very sick plants become rachitic and bear fruits with internal vascular necrosis and/or superficial tanning.
In a high temperature environment, plants and fruits may appear asymptomatic. However, depending on the strain of the virus, internal vascular necrosis and/or tanning may occur on the surface of the fruit. “
That's all right, I send good vibes!
TALENT
@LaCreme, dude, so far I think the virus is slacking because with 6 days of flowering the plant looks beautiful! I think it might lose a little bit, but in the end, at first, I think it's going to turn out well... I hope so because I'm not looking to buy weed anytime soon!
I'm happy to see the progress growmie ! i dont think it's pH problems, these look different and the humic acid will pH your soil to 6.5 which is no problem
I'm suspecting that you're just messing around 😒 you painted them and even used a hairdryer to give them a curved tip, lol 😅! I can't find anything similar regarding the appearance of the leaves, I even looked in botany books, lol 😱 I'm super curious!
@Fruitgrower, hey bro, I thought that at first but there are healthy leafs up on top that are not affected, and others at bottom that are. And its my second grow using this 120W QB. Previous one the height was about the same. But I guess there might be a little, yes, maybe, along with ph fluctuations and some nute lockout. Thanks for comment, btw. Welcome and happy growing.
@amazongrow, perhaps it is just a pk overdose then, the buds do look pretty fat. too late to fix other than stop feeding nutes. But I have not seen this myself so I can't really comment....
@Fruitgrower, yeah, I guess so. I've mixed granular humic acids, dolomite lime powder and neem cake meal.... with some other stuff.. but they say those mentioned do alter ph and shit... last watering I had 6.2 ph watered in and when I measured the runoff it was at 5.2.. so I guess something went unbalanced, but the buds do look fat and hard. I hope she can provide at least 50-60g of dry bud. I can't wait to grow it again and correct those mistakes.
tchau, do Brazil! =)
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, her leaves have touched the soil when I got her down the first time for LST, and its been spreading as I touch others... I will give her some calcium then, I tought that with my 175ppm water and azomite she won't need it... well, I will try to add some.
Oh and the soil was also amended with dolomite lime... will not use again, I've been having issues when I put it. In the last grow I didnt use it and the NL got no deficiencies at all... it might be a shitty lime I guess.
But anyways, she's not slow and is in the growth flow...
Thanks a lot for the feedback, mate.
Tchau, do Brazil! =)
@amazongrow,ok , if we go further in plant science this symptoms can come from many factors , primary factors are too much lumens or if not it can be a lack of Cal . Otherwise it can be too little Manganese, Boron, Molybdenum but this is extremely rare in soil .
You can send an email to GH seeds with the pictures, and ask them if they’ve ever heard or seen TMV on a White Widow bro.
@Island, thanks a lot, because this one is slower and pretty spread out and I think it has that tobacco virus, have you seen? But it's growing well. I'll give it another 5 days and send it to flower on the 20th. I think each top will grow another 10cm... then I'll put the net on and let it stretch, I think it will be at a good height. What do you think?
@amazongrow, I usually don't care about the size of the plant; I monitor the root development. If you notice that the plant already has roots at the bottom of the pot, that's an indicator that it can start flowering, especially since during pre-flower it finishes adjusting its total size.
About the Tobacco Virus, I'm not familiar with it.
I didn't even mention it to you, I bought a QB of 120W at 3000K (just for flowering). It should arrive this week or next, haha.
@Island, look it up.. tobacco mosaic virus, it's messed up.. already on some leaves.. damn it... but she's growing, I read there's no cure and if there is, it's normal to just let it happen.. I don't have an option, so I'm just letting it go.. I'm worried about the size because the NL got huge and the light didn't penetrate much, I had to chop a lot of buds that could have grown.. this one I'm going to keep shorter to try to get better light penetration and everything close to the light... I think on the 20th I'll switch to flowering, let her grow a bit more. =)
If Kabloom is a PK booster, you're too late! You wanna add that at like week 4 when the flower starts showing structure. You should taper all nutes and prepare for a flush. Upping the PK for such a short time will not be beneficial. Also when fed alone it has a tendency to cause nute burn unless you go at 25% dosage
@BudXs, u right about being too late for PK booster now. however, and If the plant shows that she can handle it, I would just give the full dosage of nutrients he is currently using for a last push. It's all P and K in there too so no harm done. And At least 2 weeks of flushing 🙂
@BudXs, @Clutch
Hey guys, GH recommends using KB on the last week only and define it as per se:
"In addition to increased flower density, Dry KoolBloom promotes greater oil and fragrance production along with faster ripening. Highly concentrated and cost effective, this supplement offers macronutrients that are primarily responsible for flower and fruit growth.
Dry KoolBloom is used for the ripening stage to increase the intensity of the plant's flowering and fruiting process"
@amazongrow, I've only tried autos so far, I'm currently doing a set of gorilla auto from rqs, when I finish I'll finally try fem, also to make a bigger yield!
Your plant looks beautiful, bro, but here, you can optimize this harvest.
Next time, try to even out those tops.
In pre-flower, leave only about 10 cm of leaves (lollipop pruning) and whatever sprouts above (until the end of pre-flower) will be your Fat Top Buds.
The way it is now, there are a lot of flowers down there that aren't getting light, which is stealing energy from the top flowers.
But it looks great, it’s resinous as hell for a change.
@Island, that's right my friend, I was a bit lazy with her and missed the pruning time, but next time I’ll try a mainline with 8-12 tops, and buy a decent scrog with 36 holes, then I need to discipline myself not to miss the right moments and keep everything the same size, thanks for the tip =)
@ThatsNotMe, hey bro, thanks. me too.
he went to the window to grow with the child protection net... they love it =)
follow us, i will show him again =)
She looks great for real. I like the bush impression and the color. Is the humidity a light bit high? I had almost the same level of humidity and I and to put more fan in the grow box. Good job mate!
