Welcome to my Crocketts Confidential diary. I am currently week 5-6 with 5 plants in a smaller 2x3 grow tent. I currently have a 150 true watt LED light about 20 inchs overtop. These girls are something different. Very short distance between nodes. The smell is also unlike anything I have experienced. These girls are putting off a smell stronger than my flowering tent, its crazy! Almost a earthy/skunky smell. Im excited to see how these will respond once we hit the 12/12 cycle. Before that though I want there to be a somewhat significant stretch in veg. UPDATE: I changed out the blurple blue/red LED for a one with more of a fuller spectrum, and honest to god they exploded within hours. Excited/anxious/nervous to see what happens over the next few days, I'm sure this tent will be full very soon now.

So I am currently week 5-6 with Crocketts Confidential. I have not been seeing a lot of upward growth, but mostly just bushyness. The plants themselves look happy and healthy to my eye. Any recommendations to get these girls growing upwards?

Best and simplest would be to stop stressing them out and let them grow more between pinching them if they're the size and shape you desire you keep setting them back with HST. The Indica dominant genetics also tends to make for shorter bushier plants. When you switch to 12/12 and use more red spectrum lights and kick her some extra phosphorus she will show you what the word stretch means. 👍

This week has been good. New growth happening quickly. I may end up putting another light in here as supplemental to get them growing faster. These girls have such a strong scent, im excited to see how well they flower. Regardless it should be extra danky. UPLOADS:. Ill be regularly updating this grow as well, so make sure to come back!

Steady seeing improvements, slowly getting that upward growth. I have moved 2 out of the tent so these can have some extra air and space. Ill be flowering 1 of these in this tent. I am lollipoping everything to maximize the top cola structure. Im keeping all the larfy buds away to help with Mildew issues as well. I still see it pop up on a leaf or two on my Gorilla Glue so hopefully these Crocketts are resistant enough.

So I want to keep lollipoping these girls for 2 reasons 1) Keep pest/mildew issues down 2) grow some big dank nugz. Question: how high is too high to lollipop? Given these girls are already short, should I be a few nodes down from each top? Send mr your recommendation 😁

Personally I would do some light defoliating and leaf tucking while in Veg and save the lolly popping for after you flip her into bloom and she stretches a bit. Only after she sets some bud sites would I strip the lower 1/3 of the plant of any fan leaves and micro buds sites that will never get enough light to amount to any thing. If you still have a few lower buds sites that don't look promising you can always nip them off up to mid bloom. Determining how much to lolly pop depends on the vigor of the plant since growing from seed each one is basically unique. I would still concentrate on shaping your plant until you are in bloom. Obviously if your considering lolly popping your more interested in the quality of the bud not the quantity which is the difference between a connoisseur of fine cannabis and a novice grower. Hope this helps.👍

Ill be saying goodbye to #1 tomorrow, she is leaving to a new home on a farm (aka a buddy of mines 10x10 grow). Hopefully he will be able to unlock these genetics and get them to grow big! No real issues so far. #3 had 2 leaves with a tiny bit of mildew on it but I expected that given my Gorilla Glue issue. Hasn't popped back up again though. I will be giving these girls a good treatment before flower as well. Growth is still nothing to be excited about. Maybe an inch in a week.

Then there was 1 (#2). She is looking nice and healthy and almost ready for the flower room. Im going to need this tent for my upcoming projects😁. I think i will give her 1 more leaf strip to get rid of anything that might be blocking potential bud sites or if a branch is struggling to stretch up. Also side note, I found a little red bug crawling up a stem. Only saw one, but they are there. I will have to research what they are and how to KILL THEM. I currently just have some yellow sticky traps laid out on the bottom.

First week flower underway. Added liquid Koolbloom. Way down on the base nutes, this and my other girls have been showing signs of a few things. 1.Nitrogen toxicity. It was commented on my last grow question that the leaves on my Gorilla Glue grow looked like they were heavy in nitrogen. I did the research and it looks like they were correct. Dry crispy leaves, heavy dark green. They and now myself blame the full strength Advanced Nutrients, noting they are high in Nitrogen. 2. pH issues. I also started noticing a lockout isssues, like red stems. I initially thought it was a strain specific trait, but again was recommended to test my runoff - it came out around 4.5🤮. Ive been watering heavy at 6.7 now with lime on top. Hopefully will help. Also, new Meizhi 450 on the way! Really impressed with my other one and the size accommodated my space very well. My flower room is like a L shape

Budlets have formed now on each branch, 8 days after 12/12. Its quickly grown back into a bushy bastard. I do plan to do 1 more semi heavy leaf strip sometime between now and end of week 3. This girl has been strong. Sitting beside my Gorilla Glue which has had a small pm problem but nothing here. Update: found pollen sacs this evening. This is a hermie 😫. Sadly i cut her down and into the trash she went. Luckily i have been flowering one of the family since the beginning of September so I will be able to finish the journal. Also, if you peak around her on the side I have 1 of my Crocketts that i threw in here a month ago. I dont know if I should put pictures of her up on here because i dont want to confuse anything. What I can say is she is smaller but incredibly sugary for being only a month after 12/12

So if you caught last weeks post, my main girl hermiated so so i got rid of her, sad day. Luckily i had 1 plant in the flower tent early to see how they stretch - which was nearly nothing. Im happy that ill be able to try out some of this bud. What started with 5 plants has ended with 1.

Cut the grow nutrient this week. This girl has been powering through as the lone survivor. Amazing trichome production for such an early stage. Should be another few weeks with this girl but shes already turning colors. 12/12 since September 5th, first buds September 14th.

If youve been following, my main girl hermiated. This girl has been flowering for 5 weeks with an 8-9 week flower expectation. Any reason why the pistils turned so early? Started to notice around week 3-4

Hopefully just genetics. When a bud gets pollinated, the pistils turn more dark brown and it looks a bit different. If the buds stop bulking up and putting on weight for a while AND orange hairs means it probably got pollinated. It isn't the end of the world and you should still have some awesome bud when she finished. Hermie isn't contagious (unless it's stress induced and you stress out all of your plants) so this one probably won't hermie and be able to push through fine. happy growing! 👊

Shes starting to go through a growth spurt, nice because shes pretty small. I can see what looks to be a banana or 3 on some buds. No big deal I guess, some growers have commented they have gotten some good bud from seedy plants.

Harvest went well, took about an hour to chop, wet trim and hang. I expect between 1-2 ounces so nothing special. The nugs are golf ball size with decent weight to them. Ill be continuing to update as the dry and cure process goes and finally the smoke. I WILL UPDATE EVERY FEW DAYS AFTER HARVEST!!!
