Song of the week : Lil Nas X - Ol' town road ------------------- Sunday 01.09.2019 : The last one to join the " Cookies Fanatic " Diaries 😁✌️ She'll be the 5th cross of cookies growing in my garden during that run. Like Higlanders : Only one will remain ! So I will choose 1 cookie out of 5 to be my cookie keeper for the next year at least. It's not the 1st time that I'm growing that strain and I hope to find a similar phenotype 🤞 Day 7 [07.09] This is one of the girls that is growing fast 🤗 she is already pushing the second pair of leaves ✌️ and she's 4 cm tall for now

Day 11 Incoming ----------------------- Day 14 [14.09] ----------------------- The feeding did helped her a lot and she is now asking for a bigger pot which is going to happens on the next week. The Gorilla girl was one of the most vigorous strain I've grown last year and that one is like the old one 🤗❤️💛💚

Day 24 Since last week a transplant in a bigger pot was done so she is now thriving in a 7L pot with a new soil from the garden shop that I did not improved with anything. I've watered the ladies about 40 min after the transplant but I did over watered her 😫 which have caused a possible lockout and a difficult access to the nutrient due to the excessive moisture so she did slow her growth and showing signs of discoloration on the lower leaves but I bet that a good dry /wet cycle and the next transplant will solve the issues. I didn't watered with nutrients because the new soil is supposed to be rich enough for 2 weeks ( I guess ). The heat and humidity level are still playing tricks so I have started to cut the light between 12 and 18 most of the days ( I am manually doing it )

--------------- Day 33 [03.10] --------------- She is recovering from the last week issue that was due to water / moisture and a new soil structure that I did not understand yet . The next transplants will be done in a soil mix including the (not that good) garden soil (40%), some good German soil aka FloraGard TKS2 (40%) and some Perlite (20%). I'll also add some coconut but I need to grab a coconut grape to know how much I can add to the soil mix. My whole run including her suffered from the heat and the lack of relative humidity that week , during day time the temps can reach 32°C even 36/38 inside of the tent so I am cutting light from mid day to 18h ( manually because all of my timer are dead now , and I don't spean about just 3 or 4 of them , 10 did died during the last 5 years 🤷‍♂️ ). I admit that I could have tried to low the temps down but it would have ruined my "lazy grower reputation" so I decided to do nothing like a good Caribbean boy. Concerning the plant structure it seems that she want to stay bushy , not that short as she is stretching nicely for a vegetative stage under low light watage ( by the way I switched from 110 to 250w last week so maybe it did affect the plant in a wrong way by blowing the humidity away. --------------- Day 34 [04.10] --------------- Nothing changed except for the soil that is drying slowly , well quick enough to be dry by the end of the week and will allow me to transplant or feed or both . It is mostly a picture update ... oh I forgot , the rain has felt today , it has raised the humidity level and low the general temperature of the island. That rain is breaking a dry cycle and ai hope more will come soon.

--------------- Day 42 [12.10] --------------- She is ready for a new transplant as the roots are hitting the bottom of the pot . Still on of the strongest of the batch , the main stem "fattening" seems to be done proportionally to the height of the plant to give her these nice proportions. The secondaries are solid and will for sure make some good clones , I am waiting on the 2nd week ( day 10) of flowering to cut the clones because it seems that the plants have more hormones that will help for rooting ( no need to use clonex of cloning powder ). --------------------- Bonus : I have made a "feeding juice" by mixing some aloe vera, some garden plants, some palm trees harsh into 5L of water during a week and the final result was a 1.94 Ec juice that I use on my cucumbers and egg plants but the "high Ec" is pretty encouraging and I will definitely try to do a whole run using only that kind of juice to feed ❤️💛💚

--------------- Day 48 [18.10] --------------- Yeah what a nice week 😍💪 she is a lil'beast now and I will let her be a bigger one before inducing floweing. She is now in a 15L pot so more space more roots and a better way to eat everything I am giving to her. I practiced a bit of hst on the 2 apexes to maintain them lower and it seems that they don't want to stay low so I will have to use some wire to build a shape.

--------------- Day 55 [25.10] --------------- I recognise the vigour of that strain , my last time she was as big as that one after the same amount of time , the structure was the same , the only thing that changes with this phenotype is the smell of the trunk/stems , way more "sativa" than kushy like the last time. Feed today with ( 10L of water ) : -Humic acid Plus 20ml -Organic Grow Liquid 25ml -More roots 20ml -Fast Buds 20ml

----------------------- Day 72 [11.11] ----------------------- She's large like a gorilla , the street h is now stopped or tending to stop and the plant is now pushing some pistils on the bud sites. The training leads to that nice bushy shape , I have to recognize that I'm proud of md. Of course I should have removed all the useless secondaries that are not taking enough light but I still can and will do it. She's drinking a lot of water , like 5L every 2/3 days and I've not really feed until today.

----------------------- Day 78 [17.11] ----------------------- Feeding with Green Buzz Nutrients : - Humic Acid Plus 2ml/L - Organic Bloom Liquid 5ml/L - Organic more PK 1.5ml/L - Big Fruits 2ml/L That plant is really a pleasure to train , easy to bend even at that stage the stems remains flexibles or at least bendable. She's drinking like 5L every 2 days now : big water needs . On the other side she seems to be able to grow with an average nutrient dosage as she's not showing signs of deficiencies. The buds will start to really build a shape during the 2/3 next weeks , I am expecting a big fattening up. I am also targeting a better yield than the first time ( around 70g a plant ). ----------------------- Day 79 [18.11] ----------------------- The outdoor temps combines with the big needs of that plants makes the soil almost dry today. I'll bend the 4 main branches to allow more light to be abble to reach the bottom.

The buds are staring to get bigger, they are coated with shining trichomes 😍 I have the same feeding schedule than last week, she's drinking more and so she's watered/feed more often. I am happy that I've made a clone.

Day 103 [12.12] It's the moment to stay strong because the weed looks almost ready but only 2 weeks will separate the dank weed that I can see in front of me from the epic product I'll get in 2 more weeks or maybe 3 because I need a narcotic+ effect. I want a weed that can "cancel" any ideas or any needs , I want a medicine to sleep ! No that I can't sleep but I want to be off before the end of the spliff 🤘 The trichomes are shining and the buds are getting harder and harder each days 🙌 I hope to pull out more than 89g to beat my previous harvest 🤞 It's almost the end of flowering and NO leaves are yellowing 💪

------------------------- Day 109 [18.12] ------------------------- That plant is 2 weeks away from harvest and she's not feed anymore , the next weeks I'll use only Clean Fruits which is an organic flushing agent from Green Buzz nutrients 👍 The buds are well formed and coated with trichomes , even the sugar leaves are full of it. The only things that is missing is the size of the calyxes that can be bigger than the actual one 😍 The smell is good , sweet and discreet, less kushy than my 1st run but a phenotype that is tending to be "Gorilla" dominant : don't forget that this strain is a cross between a GSC and a GG 🍪🦍 The plant is incredibly healthy as the only yellowing that can be seen is minor and in the lowest leaves 💪 I can already tell that it's a 10 start harvest 🤘

Week 17. Harvest
Happy Harvest Day!
Rated
9/10
Rated
Harvested on F+60 instead of day 63 for the shorter harvest window : between 63 and 70 days. ---------------------- Grow Report : ---------------------- It's the second time that I am growing that strain from seed and I have to say that the 2 time were pretty similar in term of growing. This weed is growing pretty fast due to her sativa ascent and this is a strain that really starts to Express herself during the stretch that will be at least a x2.5 and generally a x3 stretch. If you like to scrog I feel like this strain can be a good option to feel a net in 2 weeks. The structure is open , the distance between nodes is neither high neither tight , just enough to allow light to hit every budsites. Each branches are growing a nice top but every secondaries can be optimised to give you nice buds. It is a strain resistant to spider mites , white flies , fungus , high humidity and many more diseases and peat which makes it a great choice for Outdoor growers who wanna monitor theirs plant the less possible. In my case thas strain is perfectly adapted to my Caribbean climate , easy to grow and manage I feel like crossing it to sensitive stains could improve their health in my environment. -------‐------------ Smoke test : ----------‐---‐----- - Tatste : the taste is just amazing and powerfull, I've rolled pure weed joints and joints with tobacco ( tobacco from the garden ) and the taste is never altered by the tobacco in it. It's a powerfull taste with a clear honey taste , a flowery and sugary honey 😁😍 so each puffs makes you feel like a bee 🐝 The smell of the burning Gorilla girl is far from being stealth , it's an heavy smell that any smoker around can clearly identify so be careful if you are a big city smoker because you neigboor could easily be alerted. Their is nor only an honey taste , their is something in it that is like a caramel aftertaste , not only caramel I would say ginger/caramel with a caramel dominance and a ginger after taste. A real flavours slap in your face. - The effect : Is pretty nice and pretty quick so within 15 min you'll laugh at everything around you , you'll feel clearly relaxed like if you have no problems in your life and your muscles will also relaxed so if you need to feel good that weed is a must have. The effect of too much weed can be an impressive hard to fight "go to bed effect" .... wow that shit is crazy, like a punch and KO so be careful on the dosage. Your eyes will be red and dry, your mouth will require water but you won't regret it.

Happy to grow it again, that strain is a new classi to me. I hope that Sweet seeds will forgive me but I'll do some S1 seeds to not loose that phenotype and will also cross some strain to that one , maybe a local sativa 🤘🤔

She looks very good, she dont care about the temps because of the high rh...Hemp can grow under nearly every condition.....her 2Kids" or grandkids will be acclimated vry well to your conditions,

OutForRealcommented5 years ago
@Mrs_Larimar, And I have put some Sts out of the fridge to make ( and store ) some female pollen ! Maybe her kid or grandkids will acclimate like you said 😘. Hemp can grow under every conditions for sure but when the sun is too hot for you to stay outside by 11:00 am then you know that they will grow AND suffer Haha. Don't worry , my indoor part of the run will end soon so they'll have more "correct" temps

@Mrs_Larimar, 😁👍 true a nice dosage of sleepy weed is what I need. That makes me think about the total opposite: the weed that makes me insomniac 😫 unfortunately it's always when you need to sleep that you smoke that kind of weed 😋

@Sweet_Seeds, I know about the big strech 😈🤘 8 weeks of veg like the 1st time I've grown this strain but it's only because I am using low wattage light to veg. Generally I like to grow your strains after a good veg to see the full potential of the plant. 😉👍

Hi! Nice choice of strain, im currently growing the same strain in organic living soil to get maximum taste out of my flower. What do you think of growing this strain so far? Has it been without problems or have you encountered some issues with the strain in particular? Anyway, have a great day and happy growing. 😎 🌱
