Hi Grow Dairies Community, ive just joined you all. I'm just finishing another grow but hardly any pics, so I thought I'd start with my Groot mini grow. I'm using daylight and a 40w bulb. Just a bit of fun and I hope you like the grow. Peace Skins x
It's been a good week for mini groot, I've increased his light hours under the desk lamp as its not been as sunny on the window sill and I also want to keep him warm as cooler at night. Conditions aren't ideal but I'm confident he can produce a tiny harvest. Pretty happy as the new tips for his hair canopy have started coming through well!
It's been a tough week for Groot, he's dropped a couple of leaves and as you can see from the picture he's a bit fed up about it. Not sure if it's a natural dropping or because he's to small for the plant. However his top growth looks healthy enough and he should fill out from the bottom, once he's got another set of tips il too him again.
It's been a fairly good week for Groot, his last baby single lobes crumbled away, buts he's had some good growth on top. However some evil bug has had a bit of a nibble and I may have to spray him with something eco friendly. Was gonna top him again but I've decided against it as she is starting to struggle a bit with Mini groots tiny head space!
It's been a fairly good week for Groot, he's still being nibbled by something but I'm expecting some stuff through the post to treat him an day now, I've also given him a little dose of ionics grow as he has slight yellowing of the leaves and has definitely drained everything out of the soil, but all in all he's not doing too bad :)
Groot is not happy with me, from a major mishap whereby whilst making the bed, I flapped the duvet in its new cover and knocked him off the bedside drawers! Had to rehome him with some more soil and my grow would have come to end if he snapped, stress from both parties! I've now put him into a flowering light schedule.
It's not been a great week for Groot, he's dropped a few leaves, but still has some new growth on top. No sign of any flower spikes yet but he is smelling more. Hopefully I can get him to flower as it has been a bit ❄️
It's been a better week for Groot. I was concerned last week as he had dropped four leaves and also because he wasn't starting to flower, due to low temperature. I have now put him into a mylar enclose which has bought the temps up, at night I'm closing it and popping a blanket over to keep him warm. He's defo started flowering now as his smell has increased.
It's not been a good week for my Groot, I gave him a small dose of ionics bloom. It was only about an eighth of of recommended dose, but he's reacted badly and has mass nutrient burn :( :( :(
My plant has mass nutrient burn on most of the leaves, I've flushed the roots. Is there anything else that can be done to help recovery or is it to late in flower. Also should I remove all the effected leaves or will they still convert energy for the plant? Thanks
hey there, i would say the nutrient burn is not as big a problem as the fact your plant is root bound , that's because the roots are struggling against the small pot , as well as a bit overwatering that means that you've got root problems on top of the small pot issue. Easiest thing for you to do would be to repot and add a chelation agent like humic acid to your feeding schedule, it will help the plant adapt to its new home by breaking down problem roots as well. Groots dropped more leaves this week, he's not very happy. I just want to say thank you for peoples comments trying to help but rather than repot him I think il give him the chop shortly if there's not enough leaf and the buds don't get any bigger, and then go onto something new shortly in a bigger pot :)
It's a sad ending that I couldn't finish groot, I decided to chop him as he'd dropped to many leaves, buds weren't getting bigger and he wasn't going to finish. That being said he was just a fun little experiment and I enjoyed giving it a go. Il start a new grow soon and joining this community has given me a taste for the great people who are part of it and there to advise and help. One love ✌️
