Night time smoke. Buds aren't just real dense but not airy either. This plant grew short well away from the light, around 24-30" above. Lights were also dimmed about halfway down. However I still got some fox tailing. Overall everything went ok.
I've been using Fox farm fertilizers since I first started growing. Top dressing organic and much easier than bottle feeding. So far has worked out well for me.
The Gelato side of this stayed true to it's name in giving me a very short plant indoors. Growing came pretty easy however I feel like I missed something in getting the most out of the grow. Dry weight was only 33 grams. I got some discoloration in the leaves early on. I believe from a toxicity in my original compost blend I used in my tea. Part of my troubles with this grow came down to environment. I had several issues with temp and humidity Wich in the end forced me to have to build a new grow room before I could finish the harvest. So I ended up having to move this plant more than once resulting in stress and dramatic changes in environment. Everything is dialed in now but I feel it was to late to make a positive change in plant growth. Buds had a very sweet aroma much like a desert. Smoked very easy even only partly cured. I'm sure fully cured it will be a good smoke. So everything said mistakes, environment and all I'd say Gelato O.G. was pretty easy to grow. Picky about temps, rh and nutrients. One should pay attention and understand what the plant is asking for. I don't feel 100% confident in giving a full review as I did encounter several set backs. I would like to try again at a later date to give a better more confident opinion.
Looks really good! I Personally think by the time the plant is done stretching, which it looks like its forming buds and slowing the stretch) To go ahead and do a ratio of 75% flower and 25% all purpose Fert.
the last time I amend with 50/50 is just before the plant takes off for the stretching phase. try that next time and see how you like it!
@NattyMeds, this plants stretch was so minimal I hardly noticed it. I went a little more than 50/50 it was 4 tbs of fruit and flower and 2 tbs all purpose. Next feeding probably just give it 1 tbs all purpose and 5 tbs fruit and flower. Bag calls for 2 tbs per gallon pot size. My pots are 3 gallon.
Looking like you're well on your way to full blown flower mode !!! Very well documented as well , keep up the great work . Looking forward to seeing more updates on this flowering session !!
Happy Growing!!
