thanks for checking out my grow! Give advice below if needed :) Week 2 recap: so the plants didnt have optimal conditions last week as i put slightly too much nutes in the water, which is fine for me as had an idea of how much the plant wanted. my buddy who i left to water them while i was away had no experience with plants and overfed them while i was away. So i flushed my Quick one and let the coco dry out for about 5 days. in between this i gave 100ml of water every couple of days, i should have used a water sprayer to keep the top of the coco wet instead. they seem to have high resistance and have fought the nitrogen toxicity well. Starting week 3: looking healthy and it smells like any other healthy veg plant :) main stem is growing big and healthy and from a birds eye view the leaves are touching the edge of the 5gallon container (see pictures) roots also appear to have reached an inch away from the edge of the container not sure how far deep but still exciting. i will give a light feed tonight or tomorrow morning as the leaves are starting to rise upwards. Day 24: Flushed the plant and then added my light feed as i think a buildup of salts or old nutes is the cause for my plant being slightly unhealthy! after watering leaves claw as if ive overloaded them with nitrogen then they bounce back, may need to flush again once it recovers as its near impossible to get runoff from these 5gallon fabric pots :/ not an ideal pot size for coco, i will definitely use 2 or 3 gallon containers next time. other than the few black spots and few brown spots on lower leaves from water drops/nitrogen toxicity i think were all good! currently i have no medicine whatsoever and its extremely difficult to get through the day so fingers crossed that i get at least 14-20g per plant to keep me going for the next couple of months. I have also been browsing photoperiod seeds for my next grow such as RQS Sweet Zkittlez, Barneys Farm Strawberry Lemonade and some CBD/THC rich strains :) Day 25: Started LST on my plants today, mostly to get a more flat canopy for better yield and to stop the plants growing up into the light and getting burnt - really important as this light is intense! stalks are almost horizontal and i had no fear of them snapping as the main stems on my plants are thick! gave some bottled water to keep them going until tomorrow as im too tired to mess with PH down right now :'D Id like to say thanks to everyone so far for all your help, respect and kindness. ive never felt so accepted in regards to the medicine that works for me. Keep on growing! Day 26: Re-LST'd the plants (see photos) as they escaped over night lol, so much lower growth is exploding hahahah. this strain definitely lives up to its name! :)

some leaves of my Quick One and Fast eddy look pretty strange, quite dark colored in places too, (see pictures) anyone know what could be happening here?

Dark green probably just means nitrogen overload along with your burnt leaf tips. Weird shaped leaves, I've seen people on here with that same question and they seem to say either a) the first couple nodes of a seedling, the leaves can look funky sometimes and b) some strains or even phenotypes just have genetics that grow weirdly shaped leaves. If leaves turning dark green and others having burnt leaf types, both likely indicating nitrogen toxicity, are all you see going on in addition to weirdly shaped leaves (there's no chunks missing out of them, no other signs of other nutrient problems, etc), I wouldn't worry about it too much. In fact, plant A in my first diary had moderately taco'd leaves for the first few weeks of its life. I thought it was too close to the light, or too much nutrients, not enough water, etc... But nothing helped and eventually it just went away on its own around the time the plant changed from seedling to full veg mode.

Congrats growmie, pretty much as good as it gets, plus i notice a diploid mutation maybe on one of your side shoots that's all the better for your and the yield. Growing is half the work , the other half is the slow dry and cure, get those plants to 60RH over two weeks and you'll have the best weed in town ! Hope this helps growmie ! ๐Ÿš€

Might also consider adding more Coco Canna B. Could be P and K issues since the flowers are building. I dunno what nutrients the Coco Cannas have exactly, but couldn't hurt to pick up some CaliMagic and mix in a half tsp per 4 litres of water. It's hard to overdose them on calcium and magnesium unless you're really trying.

@Jwjoh, could it be that my light is too close and thats why they arent stretching? i bought this model as it was one of the most powerful and reasonably priced i could find :)

My one plant lady Sparkle bottom started getting some discolored leaves. I realized I had been feeding her every watering instead of adding a plain water in every 2-3 waters...won't do that again. The majority of the quick one looks pretty healthy though...and nice stem.๐Ÿ‘

@Experimentgreen, yeah dude i got my first runoff out of the 5gallon last week. i had to put a huge amount of water through the 5gallon to get runoff and it was definitely full of salts and excess nutes causing the nitrogen toxicity. i will definitely be giving just water every third feed. thanks for checking this out man i appreciate it! :)

Good idea on the nice slow relatively humid drying. I live in way dry conditions and even when i try hard...it still dries too quickly sometimes. I think a nice 5-7 day dry is a good time.

JuicyFruitcommented5 years ago
@Experimentgreen, nice! im gonna leave the humidity monitor beside the buds to check the min and max humidity overnight. and temps also :)

Re: week 5, COULD be underwatering still. I dunno for sure, but when they stretch and start packing on buds, they seem to drink a lot more... How often are you watering to soak the pot fully and get 500 to 1000ml of runoff?
JuicyFruit
JuicyFruitcommented5 years ago
@Jwjoh, been watering 1.8L with 4ml of Canna A and 3ml of Canna B every 2 days across all three plants (about 0.7l for quick one, 0.7l for fast eddy and 0.4l for dwarf) this doesnt give me runoff. on the third watering i use only phed water to flush. i think it takes around 5 litres or more for quick one to achieve 500ml runoff. watered with 1.8L/4ml Canna A and 6ml Canna B. will allow this to dry for 2 days and then flush :)

too much water 0.5 per 2or 3days
JuicyFruit
JuicyFruitcommented5 years ago
@Doktorholland, yeah dude i dont know why i put 0.5L per day. i split 1.8L between 3 plants so probably 0.7 every 2-3 days. thanks for helping dude its much appreciated :) im finding that watering in coco isnt hard or easy, thats probably due to the 5 gallon container tho! im defs going to use a 2/3gallon next time so the roots grow better!
