I hand fed my seedlings until they were 3 days old, then they were setup for the automated irrigation. They are being fed every 2.5 hrs.
This girl is the best growing one out of my 3 plants. I think she'll be the prize winner in the end.
The plant is growing very well and is already starting to bush out. she's by far the best growing plant of my 3 ladies. I've increased the nute mix to 1100 EC.
On day 10 I started to increase the light for part of the day. For about 5-6 hrs I had the medium setting on the light - around 450W as apposed to 250W for seedlings. On day 11 I've given the plants a few more hrs. If they are okay with another few hot hrs on day 12 as well I'll leave the light on full veg. power.
Day 13; this girl is ready to get chopped tomorrow for the quadlining. She grows extremely well. She handles the full veg. power on the led with no dramas, but her tent sister Rainbows is not as happy, so we'll stay with part of the day for now.
Day 14; Today she was big enough to get chopped. I topped her above node 4 and removed the shoots from node 1 and 2.
Day 17;
Three days after the plant was quadlined and she starts to recover.
'Day 19;
This girl is a champ. She grows extremely well, She'll be ready for another topping shortly.
Later on her LST was started.
Day 20;
I got a bit too rough with her during training and one of the main branches snapped. It snapped almost right through but I taped it quickly. I believe she'll recover, but growth will most likely slow down on this branch and it'll yield less than the others - bummer!
I added a bit of Rhino Skin to help with the healing.
Day 21;
The broken branch seems ok so far. I can't really see any difference to the other side at all. I might top her again in a day or two...
Day 23;
She's very happy and she'll be ready for the second topping tomorrow together with her tent sister Rainbows.
Day 24;
I topped her today. All branches topped at node 3. All nodes below have been removed.
Day 25;
I trained her 4 branches outwards/downwards. I want the 8 colas to start growing along the perimeter of the pot. Unfortunately I snapped yet another branch, but luckily not as bad this time. This chica is very stiff and wants to grow upwards badly. She's hard to train.
Day 28;
I drilled 8 extra holes in the pot to make training better. The 8 nodes of each plant are now being trained into their respective position from where the colas will start growing upwards.
Day 29;
Trained the octopus arms, some more than others.
Day 31;
Done some more training. The 8 shoots are in position now - time to grow upwards.
Day 32;
I couldn't keep my fingers away and had to do some more training.
Day 33;
Did some more training. Now the 8 arms are where I like them to be.
Day 34;
Have finished training until adjustments might be needed to cola growth
Day 35;
No training
Day 36;
I lowered the nute concentration a bit.
Day 37;
She's starting to grow fast now. Trying to keep the arms even by rotating the plant in the tent to give the smallest branches the most light.
Day 39;
Just letting her grow, she's doing well.
Day 42;
Now we start to see the 8 colas form. She grows more bushy than her tent sisters, and she also grows shorter. I might need to raise her pot when switching. The colas are a bit uneven in length.
Day 43;
I defoliated her today. She grows very bushy. I hope she'll add some height...
Day 44;
Defoliated a little bit more
Day 46;
Vertical growth has slowed down a lot. She currently grows shorter than her tent sisters, and I had to raise her pot. Maybe she'll stretch more than the others, they have already done plenty of stretching...
Day 48;
Final day of 20 hrs of light. After the light goes out tonight, it'll be dark for 32 hrs, and then 12/12
Day 50 - 3 of flower;
First day of flowering - I set the light to full power and raised it to 90 cm above the canopy.
Day 52 - 3 of flower;
Stretch is starting slowly. I upped the nutes a tiny bit to an EC of 900. I just defoliated her, but she looks like she need another defoliation straight away. I'll wait until she's been on the flower schedule 1 whole week before I'll do the next one.
Day 54 - 5 of flower;
She's growing more sideways than upwards. Her tent sisters are stretching away from her. I had to pick quite a few leaves and will do another defoliation in 2 days.
Day 55 - 6 of flower;
Defoliation, a fair bit of leaves were removed.
Day 57 - 8 of flower;
She's quickly growing leaves after the big defoliation 2 days ago. The 8 colas are shaping up beautifully.
Day 59 - 10 of flower;
She's starting to stretch, but grows very bushy. New leaves are already getting big and some need to get plucked soon.
Day 61 - 12 of flower;
She's stretching the least out of my 3 plants. I had to raise her pot a bit more today. I also had to defoliate some again. Shortest and bushiest out of the 3.
Day 63 - 14 of flower;
I'm doing light defoliation and pick a few leaves every day almost. Will probably do a heavier defoliation next week.
Day 65- 16 of flower;
I have been picking a few leaves here and there. I try to remove leaves that block bud sites. I will wait a few days and then try schwazzing her.
Day 67 - 18 of flower;
Her tent sisters got schwazzed today, but she'll have to wait another 2 days before she gets a good taste of the scissors
Day 69 - 20 of flower;
Today she got schwazzed. Now let the bud swell begin...
I decided to lower the EC a little bit to 1.0.
Day 71 - 22 of flower;
She seems to be coping well after the massive defoliation 2 days ago.
Day 74 - 25 of flower;
The buds slowly build. Not much smell or crystals yet...
Day 78 - 29 of flower;
She's still growing loads of leaves, and I'm thinning her out a bit every now and then. I will do another heavier defoliation again I think. She's starting to show some trichs and she smells really good.
Day 81 - 32 of flower;
I did a bit of defoliation today, she's growing more leaves than her tent sisters. She's getting stickier and the smell is fantastic!
Day 87 - 38 of flower;
Her buds look a lot lighter than her tent sisters Ayahuasca Purple and Rainbows. And she's not as sticky as they are. But she's expected to flower for longer so she'll catch up. She's building nice long buds. She smells incredibly good!
Day 89 - 40 of flower;
Today it was time for another defoliation. Her smell while working with her was a little bit overwhelming - very strong smell. She made the scissors and fingers very sticky, too.
Day 95 - 46 of flower;
Oh my - the smell of this lady is unreal! I want to eat her!
Her buds have made some serious vertical growth the last week. I love to see her buds get longer before they start to swell. Her main colas look like they are going to get super fat!
She grows a lot of leaves as well and I will have to clean her foliage up a bit more in a few days.
Day 97 - 48 of flower;
Today I took her out to trim off some leaves, but almost all the fan leaves are deeply set into the buds with almost no stems, so I only took a few. Instead I trained the buds on the main colas to grow outwards instead of upwards to allow them to grow fatter. This girl will get massive main colas!!
Day 102 - 53 of flower;
All the buds are getting taller - this girl will get massive buds! Her main colas will get so incredibly fat!! I'm training the buds on the main colas still, pulling them out/down-wards and tucking leaves to allow for most of the bud to receive light, and not only one side of it. This girl will yield very well! Her smell is mesmerising and I can't help myself but have to touch her and smell my fingers - it's love 😍
Day 102 - 55 of flower;
I had her out for some maintenance and took a couple of pics. I did some bud bending to train the buds wide. They're getting massive! I added a cigarette lighter for size referral.
Day 108 - 59 of flower;
The buds grow heaps vertically still. I train the main colas to make the buds grow outwards. They'll get longer and then they can also grow fatter. But it does make the colas uglier with buds pointing in all directions.
Day 109 - 60 of flower;
I lowered her nutrient intake a bit to an EC of 0.6.
Day 109 - 60 of flower;
Her buds are growing a lot vertically still, but now the buds are starting to swell as well. Her smell is insane and I can't get enough of it. The main colas are growing very large.
Day 121 - 72 of flower;
The bud growth is currently explosive!! The buds are growing like crazy in all directions.
I managed to majorly split the main stem when pulling the colas apart a bit to open her up and enjoy the space now that her tent sisters are gone.
Day 124 - 75 of flower;
I did a little experimenting on her. She's fox tailing like crazy, and I have topped all the buds. It seems like the buds are growing more sideways now, i.e. getting thicker. Well, that's the plan anyway.
Day 79 of flower;
I've started to flush her. It'll only be a short flush since I've only fed EC 0.6 the last week. I also moved the light up a bit. Her smell is just getting better and better. After I topped all the buds a few days ago, they started to grow more sideways as I was hoping for. So now the foxtails are fattening up a bit - sweet.
Day 81 of flower;
Her leaves are starting to get yellow. Considering chopping tomorrow...
