I hand fed my seedlings until they were 3 days old, then they were setup for the automated irrigation. They are being fed every 2.5 hrs.
This little seedling is showing some weird looking leaves. I think she might find the light a bit strong, but since she's growing fine and there's no twisting of leaves, I'll leave her be for now.
The leaves on this girl look a bit discoloured, but I don't think there's anything wrong with her. She grows very short and flat so far.
I've increased the nute mix to 1100 EC.
On day 10 I started to increase the light for part of the day. For about 5-6 hrs I had the medium setting on the light - around 450W as apposed to 250W for seedlings. On day 11 I've given the plants a few more hrs. If they are okay with another few hot hrs on day 12 as well I'll leave the light on full veg. power.
Day 13; she'll get chopped tomorrow or the day after for the quadlining. She grows very short at the moment. She handles the full veg. power on the led with no dramas, but her tent sister Rainbows is not as happy, so we'll stay with part of the day for now. I still think the colouration of the leaves are natural.
Day 14; Today she was big enough to get chopped. I topped her above node 4 and removed the shoots from node 1 and 2.
Day 17;
Three days after the plant was quadlined and she starts to recover.
'Day 19;
This chica is fattening up nicely but she is growing very short. Even so she'll be ready for another topping soon. I think this girl will be very compact in the end. Her leaves have got a little bit sun burnt from the stronger light setting, a couple of them have twisted a bit.
I ended up starting the LST today - this is when the fun starts.
Day 21;
She's still growing short. She'll be ready for topping soon, but I'd like her branches to grow a bit longer first.
I added Rhino Skin to the nute mix to help one of the other plants to heal after an injury.
Day 23;
She's so short that she looks a bit sad. She'll not be ready for a topping until day after tomorrow I think. Her tent sisters will get topped tomorrow.
Day 24;
Yes, she wasn't ready for the topping today, but she will be tomorrow. Her tent sisters got topped today.
Day 25;
Did her second topping today and then I trained her 4 branches outwards/downwards. I want the 8 colas to start growing along the perimeter of the pot.
Day 28;
I could barely start training 4 of the 8 nodes today. She needs to grow one more day before I start pulling the nodes
Day 30;
Today she was big enough to start training the arms towards where they're supposed to go.
Day 31;
No training today, she'll need a few days before I can put the 8 shoots in position.
Suddenly a shoot came from nowhere in the centre of the plant from the ground. I'll leave it for now. If it grows too tall, I might put it outside of the ring of colas, otherwise I might keep it at the centre.
Day 32; couldn't keep my fingers away and had to do some more training. Will let the shoot in the middle grow a little bit taller and then supercrop it and try to put it outside of the cola ring.
Day 32 update; the top in the centre has been moved to the outside. I supercropped it, put a clip on the bend, and tied the top down below my 8 colas. As long as it won't disturb this plant's or any of its tent sisters' colas, I'll let it keep growing. It should give some nice extra buds in the end, and make my tent more colourful when I start the flowering.
Day 33;
Did some more training. The arms are a little bit too short still. Got over confident and snapped 2 of the 8 arms during training - bummer! One snapped right off. Taped them and hopefully they'll be ok. Lucky I pulled out a 9th arm yesterday...
Day 34;
It seems the snapped branches are healing beautifully, even the one that snapped right off. I'd have preferred to do some more hard training on the arms, but I'll let her be for now and train them apart when the colas start to grow. I don't want to risk snapping anymore branches.
Day 35;
No training,
Day 36;
I manned up and trained her again, even the branches I snapped the other day. Nothing snapped today though. Also lowered the nute concentration a bit
Day 37;
She's starting to grow fast now. Trying to keep the arms even by rotating the plant in the tent to give the smallest branches the most light. Another shoot has come through in the middle. If it'll stay low, I'll let it stay in the middle. If it grows taller than the 8 arms, I'll put it outside of the circle of arms like I did with the first branch.
Day 39;
Just letting her grow, she's doing well. Still letting the middle branch be.
Day 42;
Now we start to see the 8 colas form. She has started a bit of a stretch. The shortest plant in the tent might grow tallest in the end.
Day 43;
I defoliated her today. She started slower than the others, but now she's racing. I'll have to switch soon.
Day 44;
Defoliated a little bit more. She's forcing me to switch in 1-2 days. She's got a few cm still to go.
Day 46;
Vertical growth has slowed down a lot. I will allow her to grow max 6 cm more before I switch. She grows beautifully.
Day 48;
Final day of 20 hrs of light. After the light goes out tonight, it'll be dark for 32 hrs, and then 12/12
Day 50 - 1 of flower;
First day of flowering - I set the light to full power and raised it to 90 cm above the canopy.
Day 52 - 3 of flower;
Stretch is starting. I upped the nutes a tiny bit to an EC of 900. The leaves were showing signs of underfeeding after the switch.
Day 54 - 5 of flower;
She's coming along well. I've picked a few leaves and will do another defoliation in 2 days.
Day 55 - 6 of flower;
Defoliation, a fair bit of leaves were removed.
Day 57 - 8 of flower;
She's quickly growing leaves after the big defoliation 2 days ago. The 8 colas are shaping up beautifully.
Day 59 - 10 of flower;
She's stretching a lot. New leaves are already getting big and some need to get plucked soon.
Day 61 - 12 of flower;
She keeps on stretching hard. She's stretching the most out of my 3 plants. I had to defoliate some again.
Day 63 - 14 of flower;
I'm doing light defoliation and pick a few leaves every day almost. Will probably do a heavier defoliation next week.
She has a lot longer node distance compared to my other 2 plants - Green Gelato and Rainbows.
Day 65- 16 of flower;
I have been picking a few leaves here and there. I try to remove leaves that block bud sites. I will wait a few days and then try schwazzing her.
Day 67 - 18 of flower;
I schwazzed her - hopefully she'll survive...
Day 69 - 20 of flower;
Only 2 days after the schwazz and all the buds have begun to swell. She also kicked off some trichome production.
I decided to lower the EC a little bit to 1.0. I could just see some burnt tips.
Day 71 - 22 of flower;
She seems happy enough after the massive defoliation 4 days ago. I see more and more trichomes and she starts to develop a very nice fruity smell.
Day 74 - 25 of flower;
The buds slowly build and she starts to get a fresh smell. She makes your fingers sticky if touching her.
Day 78 - 29 of flower;
I'm not really doing anything to her now. She's just focusing on building buds. I move the occasional satellite to get some more light only. She's getting seriously sticky.
Day 81 - 32 of flower;
I've picked a few leaves, otherwise done nothing. Her buds are growing and she's getting stickier by the minute. Some buds are starting to show some purple colours.
Day 87 - 38 of flower;
She is super sticky and she smells very good. She looks like she'll yield less than her tent sisters Green Gelato and Rainbows due to her long internode distances, but we'll see. ..
Day 89 - 40 of flower;
I defoliated her again today. Due to her structure she wasn't in as much need of a defoliation as her tent sisters, but she got a good trim never the less. Sticky Little Fingers after that operation...
Day 95 - 46 of flower;
It seems her buds doesn't grow at all. They're really small and I can't really see much new growth. She smells amazing, though, and she is very sticky.
Her branches are long and spindly, so even though the buds are small, many of the lower branches need some support to stop them from falling over...
Day 102 - 53 of flower;
I don't know why I bother to take new pictures of her. She looks the same as she did 3 weeks ago. But she's at least getting stickier, and the little buds are solid. Her smell is beautiful.
Day 108 - 59 of flower;
Her spindly branches are getting a bit top heavy, and the smaller branches need some support. But the buds don't seem to get any bigger by volume, only weight...
Day 109 - 60 of flower;
Starting to flush her today.
Day 113 - 64 of flower;
Many of the lower buds are getting too heavy for their branches. I noticed some of the flowers were facing downwards and I had to tie them up.
She grew very well from start. There were no problems training her the way I wanted. When she started to stretch she grew bud sites with long internode distances. The internode distances were a bit too long for my liking since that affect yield. She's had a strong smell during late flower, and in the end the smell got really sharp - but pleasant. She's very sticky and packed with trichomes all the way out on the fan leaves. In late flower she turned beautifully purple.

I have just started the jar curing, so the taste and effect is not at its best at the moment. She tastes strongly of sharp sour flowers, a pleasant smell. I don't normally get very affected since I take it daily for pain, but this girl packs a punch for sure. She actually got me stoned!! I literally got locked down in the couch and had to force myself to move on eventually. It's definitely one for the evenings from now on. She's showing her true Indica colours. I could feel as if my whole head was wrapped in cotton. This is a powerful heavily sedating girl. I've only tried vaping her, and it's delicious. This is easily my new night time favourite, and for when the pain gets too bad.
This one looks really sticky and frosty! Love those dark purple strains.
Looks a lot like blackberry kush that I had going a while back.
Smelled like straight up berries and fuel. Strong sedative too!
@happytrees, thanks mate. I don't think I've ever grown any plant as lanky as this one. I can't wait to try the little purple nugs, I've never had any colours like this before.
@Nickeluring, Indeed, she is a bit more lanky. I also experienced this with my purples.
That bag appeal is certainly a good conversation piece! Some of my friends faces light up when I pull out the dark purple nugs.. hehe
Grats on chop! Lemme know how the dry goes 💪
@happytrees, this girl got chopped today and is now hanging in my bedroom. She's very frosty, but hasn't got half the amount of buds of my other 2 plants. When I got a visitor earlier today I was told she could smell it down at the street. She's a stinker.
Thank you @Autofutur, I've seen other similar strains from Barney's Farm. The Mimosa x Orange Punch I grew was amazing. It's some seriously strong stuff 😄
I have a pair of Ayahuasca Purple seedlings and both are tri-leaf above the cotyledons and each blade is a bit mangled and misshaped. I've never heard of a strain that starts like this, but to have both of the seedlings start like that has me blown away.
@skybound, Cool - I love when that happens. On this plant I have seen it on one branch only. It's the 9th branch that appeared in the centre of the plant and got super cropped and put outside the circle. You can see photos of it in week 5 on days 31-32. I also added a new pic in this week of how it looks like now. It's a bit hard to see that it is a triple node since I've chopped some of the fan leaves off...
Oooohhh yes, only seen AP grown once elsewhere. Looking to forward to what this girl looks like in full bloom under the LED's!
How many watts are you pulling from the wall and how high above the canopy is your light? I also have a new 150w QB and im struggling to find the right height, think i might have stunted the growth already. At 7 days old my ladies definitely look behind vs yours.
Will be keeping an eye on this one! Good luck matey :)
@skoondawg,
It's my first AP. She's growing like a champ and I hope I get some pretty colours when I switch to flower shortly.
I started the automatic irrigation system when she was 3 days old, and since then she has been getting multiple feeds every day - 8 of them. I think that's why my plants grow faster than yours. I currently have 3 plants of different strains, and they have all been growing similarly.
I've got the light on medium now during late veg, it's currently using 4/6 cobs and half of the other LEDs. Now it's pulling about 450 - 475 W. When I switch to flower I'll use full power. On full it pulls about 650 - 675W. On the low setting, which I had when she was a seedling, it pulls about 275W.
I've had the light at 90 cm above the canopy until last week. Now it's at 80 cm, and I'll let them grow up to 70 cm. When I switch I'll try 60 cm and see how we go.
