Thanks to Seedsman for sending out 3 cheese seeds for free with my last seed order. The seeds were started using the paper towel method then transplanted into rockwool cubes. I placed the seedlings in a temporary pot. I plan to grow these under lights in a tent for a few weeks until they are big and strong enough to go outside for the southern summer.

A bit more growth from these 3 cheesy ladies than their indoor hydro cousins. Gave them a micro dose of nutrients over a few days and next week I might start adding Floralicious plus to the feed program.

Nice growth this week and hopefully better growth to come with warmer weather. Started with the floralicious plus this week. Probably going to keep these girls inside for another couple of weeks before the are repotted and put outside.

Very eventful week. Finally got a few days of nice weather and since the girls are strong enough, outside they went. The stress of repotting didn't seem to affect them too much as they are really taking off now. I increased the nutrient amounts and the amount of water they get daily as they are in bigger pots.

Great conditions for all things horticultural with plenty of sun and lots of rain. After a topping last week there wasn't much vertical growth but the girls are growing nicely. One of the girls looks like she got munched on by a caterpillar or some other critter but nothing to be too concerned with.

Unfortunately it has been a cold start to our summer here but despite the shitty weather the girls are doing great especially the middle one which I topped again. Noticed a faint smell at the edge of the garden and expecting a fair bit of stank according to all the reports on this strain.

Another disastrous week weather wise down under with extreme heat and very windy conditions. All the plants toppled over in the wind but they seemed to take it a bit better than last time. I took some cuttings of all the plants to grow in my indoor garden once I harvest the plants that are in there now.

A horrible week for growing this week with extreme heat, high winds and nasty storms but the girls came through in pretty good condition. Finished the General Hydroponics nutrient and since they don't bring it into the country any more I will be searching for a one part coco grow nute.

Another extreme week weather wise with some very hot days and some cold and stormy ones too. The girls seemed to hold up well. I finished the GH nutrients and since they don't import into Australia any more I'm trying a local one part nutrient from HY-GEN. Looks like the plants might be starting to flower but not entirely sure so I'll feed grow nutrients for at least another week.

Another frustrating week weather wise with extreme winds knocking the girls over more than once but they seem to be quite strong and recover well from a good beating. They are stretching nicely and I've had to top them again as I do not want them any taller. I think either this week or next week I can declare them to be in flower.

Good week for growing with nice weather and no damaging winds like the past few weeks. Gave the plants a bit of a trim getting rid of some more of the bigger fan leaves. I am starting to wonder if Seedsman sent me something other than cheese as the girls look more like sativas and they smell fruity rather than cheesy. Either way I'm not compalining as they look and smell great and they were free seeds.

Is this really cheese? They don't smell skunky or cheesy but fruity with citrus. They also look like sativas and not indicas. I'm not complaining as they look and smell great but was wondering if I may have been sent other seeds than specified,

Cheese is a Skunk#1 phenotype called a Clone only strain so everything that is not a clone or an S1 from the original clone ( the exodus cut if I am not wrong) is not a real cheese. If the cheese has been crossed then it is a cheese based cross. Now about the sativa ascent, like I said the Cheese is a special Skunk#1 cut and the Skunk#1 is a cross between ( if I remember well) an Afghani , a Thaï , a Mexican and a Columbian so only 1 of these strain is a indica : the Afghani. So when a skunk/cheese is sativa leaning it's totally normal due to the original genetics. When it comes to Skunk#1 hybrids I recommend everyone to buy a Sensi seed Skunk#1 10 pack and grow them all , you'll get a lot of phenotypes , some with citrus smell , some with dead dog smell , some with herbal taste or even some with a cherry/berry taste. If the phenotype is not isolated like for the Exodus cheese or the Lemon skunk from DNA genetics then you'll probably play lottery for the phenotypes

Another great week with good weather and not too much wind. The colas are starting to fall from not being able to support their own weight. I've decided to stagger my harvest in two or three depending on how much I can fit on my drying racks. The flowering may have started a week or two earlier than I thought as the trichomes are starting to turn milky. Also this will let me compare the difference in harvest time and whether a flush at the end of the grow makes a difference.

Good shit, a good mix of body and mind stone. Super easy to grow and resilient as fuck. Very happy with the results especially since these were freebies (Thanks Seedsman!). The weird thing with this grow is that this the first cheese I have grown, these did not smell like cheese at all but fruity.

I was so happy to see harvest time come around after such a shit season growing wise with extreme heat, wind, and smoke haze making life difficult for everything this side of the world. The girls were super resilient nad came through with a monster crop. I split the harvest in 2 as there was heaps of dope and only so much space on my drying racks. Interestingly I found no difference in taste or strength with the first harvest having about half cloudy/half amber trichomes and the second mostly amber and flushed. I got a good amount of trim for hash, cannabutter and hash oil production and a good little nugget of scissor hash.

Does a flush make a difference to you? I staggered my harvest in two and the first harvest wasn't flushed. I had no difference in taste, the only difference I found is some savings form not using nutes for a week. Have any of you tried flush vs no flush and noticed a difference?

i like flushing especially in soil if i used any synthetics near the end, but if you use additives like enzymes or humic acid you can get away with just a week or ten days, the smoke will be smoother once you really dry these nicely (in my experience!) save me some please, i need to taste it together with you ! Hope this helps ! 🚀

I flush at least 2 weeks befor she’s at her end,so I’m sure the soil is depleted and my plants start to use al available nutrients from her leafs..For me it’s just the completion of her lifecycle.seedling, veg, flower and dying off like in nature. They don’t look as beautiful as Others but in my experience the smoke is smoother and an the smell is overwhelming Ask my mother 😂 she’s always complaining about it when I smoke homegrown at my room 😂never had that problem with weed from a shop 😂

@MagicMan, I'm in Melbs. weather has been all over the shop here with 44 degrees one day to 12 degrees and raining the next. The girls seem to be handling the heat ok but the winds are taking their toll with my ladies blowing completely over a few times and almost getting uprooted. I feel for our fellow growers dealing with fires and other nasty weather.

Good to see that what appears to be an indica-dominant next to a reflective wall. I'd probably even add mulch/reflected stuff to the pots. Best of luck, happy growing!
