They are there! :-/ Thought I might have got lucky. *Ordered Safer 51703 Diatomaceous Earth-Bed Bug Flea, Ant, Crawling Insect Killer* 10/02 D18 - Watered 1/2 gal 2 mg cal-mag. sprinkled Diatomaceous Earth on plant and soil. 10/03 PM D19 - Diatomaceous Earth powder is still on the plant. Got some great replies on ways to get rid of Spider Mites! I like having different options. High hopes for the Diatomaceous Earth. I started LST. Got a GREAT bend on the main! *see pic*

Hi @gavenPh! Spider mites hate humidity/water, neem oil, crushed garlic, soap... You need to treat asap before it spreads. More than a single treatment, you need a pest-prevention-strategy as soon as you plant your seedlings. My strategy is pretty simple and consists in 3 methods: 1) I have an electric atomizer working 10min every hour to diffuse essential oils mixed with fresh water (a few drops of lemongrass, lavender, peppermint...you can find those oils in nature-stores or online). Those oils are repelling insects/pests, they don't like the smell of my room. 2) I spray neem-oil once a week when the light turns off, 10-12 drops of pure neem-oil mixed in a liter of temperated water, this oil is really efficient to kill/disturb/sterilize the invaders. 3) I sometimes use a dedicated foliar spray (BioBizz LeafCoat) in order to create a 'transparent layer' onto the leaves and to protect them from spiders/thrips/moths/miners... In your situation I would spray a solution made of water + neem oil + crushed garlic, at night, onto and below the leaves. Do this at least once a week until the flowering stage. I hope this will help you to get rid of these mites, keep us updated and happy growing 👊

Hey ! I grew the same strain and it also took longer than expected to harvest. Great looking plant !! I'm growing it again with some Royal cheese auto as well, (not doing a diary tho), I'm doing some LST and I would like to try defoliation on top of that, like you. When did you start ? Any recommendation or tips for it ? Thank you, can't wait to see your harvest !

@TheOtherSide, it actually make sense that breeders use a 24/24 schedule, never thought about it before... I think you're doing good, there isn't one way to grow cannabis as far as I can see, each of growers has his own method. Thanks for the advices, keep going and please update your diary when you harvest ! Good luck ✌️

@Paulolo03, Hello! Thanks for the nice comment. I have been told that the lengthy time is because breeders typically use a 24 hour light schedule. That causes them to finish much quicker than my 18/6. I have started my new plants on a 20/4 light schedule. A friend did 2 grows of the same plant on different schedules and the 20/4 took about 20 days less than then 18/6. I am very new to growing. I have only harvested 2 plants so far. I don't think I should give advice on how to day anything. LOL Honestly, I just kinda guessed. I did a lot of tucking throughout veg and the first part of flower. I didn't start to remove anything (other than dead leaves and tiny bud sites way down on the plant) until these last few weeks. I started with the ugliest leaves that were covering the most buds and every couple days I removed a few more. As for the strain, I have not finished one of the Seedsman Northern Lights Auto yet but I have completed a Seedsman Amnesia Auto and it was fantastic! I have already started another. It was my first harvested plant and I love it. It met my expectations in every way. VERY active high. I plan to continue to flush a few more days then go into an extended dark period. Maybe 3 or 4 days dark. I would like the ratio to go from 80/20 cloudy/clear trichomes to 90/10 cloudy/amber.

Hello it's true that neem oil is very effective nevertheless I advise you to respect the dosing 12 drops recommended by @stick no more! 😎 and if you associate it with a teaspoon of soft black soap bio become one of the best natural insecticide ... 🌱 Good luck 😉 May the strength be with you 💪
