Week 1 - start of a new cycle and seedling has popped with no issues. Looks like she’s gonna be a strong grower👍. Not much to it - 12 hour soak of the bean in tap water and another 24 hours approx. between a damp paper towel.
Sep. 23 - 125ml water w/root juice
Sep. 25 - 125ml water w/root juice
Sep. 26 - 200ml water w/root juice
Sep. 29 - 250ml water w/root juice
Sep. 30 - 250ml water w/root juice
***boom boom spray as needed/1-3 times per day***

Original Sensible has been in the bizz for 25 some odd years and has its roots in the UK. Don’t know much about em but they do offer their version of AK-47. A strain we’ve yet try but always had some interest in. AK’s lineage is that of Mexican, Thai, Colombian and Afghan genetics per leafly - in other words, no one’s really sure😉. But she is supposed to be a great sativa so let’s see what happens.
If you’ve seen most of my other stuff than you know I’m huge on botanicare. That said and due to some gentle prodding, we’re expanding our horizons and giving the BioBizz supplement lineup a try. The grow will be in a soil/perlite mix with a bottom layer of compost - entirely organic. It’ll be interesting to see how this nute regimen stacks up against its companion grow with BioTabs products. In either case I’m not expecting huge yields. Just the bud and smoke quality that the hardcore organic growers all rave about. If u grow organic and aren’t sure which company to use - this comparison might help. Thanks for taken a look.👍😎👊
Week 2 update - alls well and I’m actually a little surprised at her growth rate. She’s the best of the lot so far. We’ll be adding in the alga-mic and upping the root juice a bit this week too. The boom boom spray has been used regularly for this grow and I’m resolved to keep using it for now based on the advanced growth. That said - it smells like pure shit. Seriously... like it came out of Hitlers Nazi asshole type shit - unwiped, crusty and 4 days old... I’ll give ya a minute to ponder that scent mentally👍.
It seems to be working though so I’ll just plug my nose and hope for the best. Thanks again for take’n a look😎👊.

Week 3 update - still lookn good and o issues at all. I suspect that the roots have hit the compost layer which would explain the better growth rate than her neighbours. Also found that soil grows tend to swell out the leaves more so than hydro medium grows which is interesting. Possible I guess that the foliar spray is contributing to this but who knows. Think we’re now done with the Boom Boom and we’ll stick to the regular waterings moving forward. It’s getting to the point where we’re now almost fully saturating the medium with a small amount of runoff. Thanks as always for take’n a look. If growth is steady we could be looking at potentially fimming this week👍. Then the fun really starts😉😎.
Oct. 11 update - growth rates lookn good on both so what the hell - let’s get em fim’d and see what happens.👍👍

Week 4 update - she came out of last week really well and per the pics, the fim seems not to have hurt growth rate at all👍. She’s runn’n 💪. I also clipped 2 larger fan leaves that were obstructing lower growth tips - it’s a comparative to the biotabs grow which I’ve left alone. Thought this would encourage stronger side branching but it seems it’s actually had the opposite effect now that they have ready access to the full power of the grow light. Well know more as she stretches out this week. Up’d the algamic a tough and dropped the boom boom and root juice. Alls well and thanks for swing’n in as always👊😎👊.

Week 5 update - She’s growing real well and we just continue to spread er out to widen the canopy and encourage more growth tips. You can see the tip count change week to week now which is kinda cool. This approach to Fim’n autos is paying huge dividends the last couple grows👍. She’s just about to move in to bloom so stay tuned for the flower show. Thanks as always for swing’n in😎👊.

Week 6 update - well she flipped over to bloom mid last week and everything is lookn solid👍. Not sure what’s go’n on but this is now the third grow in a row that we’ve ended up with a polyploidal branch on a plant!🤘. All this years plants made it to chop without incident so maybe karma is just paying me back for last years debacle. There is now seemingly no difference in growth rate vs. The biotabs run and each plant is running out perfectly. Smooth sailn so far and thanks as always for take’n a look👊.

Week 7 update - not much to tell really. I guess she’s stretchn out ok and budlet formations are lookn good. Some fairly large internodal spacing so we’ll see how this plays out in terms of final yield. Overall she’s happy. Between the soil, compost and 2 stimulant nutes she’s just fine for now👍.
Nov. 10 update - she got a light defo to prune er out and get some more light deeper down the stems. Had to move er out with the other auto to the smaller cabinet due to an aphid issue on the biotabs grow. These are the furthest along and small enough to jam in together. Not ideal but is what it is.

Week 8 update - coming up on what should be the end of transition and it’s pretty clear by now she’ll be a somewhat squat little plant. Also seeing all sorts of weird growth post-fim. One of her colas actually split on its own (as far as I can tell), and very differently from the other cola with the polyploidal nugs.

Week 9 - week 4 of flower and alls looking well generally. She’s small and skinny but sturdy and healthy. Still too early to tell what she bulks out to but no issues to report and she’ll still be a good addition to the stash. Should be easy going moving to the finish.

Week 10 update - 5th week of flower and there’s been some big changes in terms of bud development. This girl is absolutely frosty as f$$k👌. She’s also starting to colour up a little and I’m left to wonder if she goes off a little earlier than expected. The aphids seem to have found their way into this cabinet as well however they haven’t propagated like on the widow as yet. As of tomorrow I’ll be sending in the marines (lady bugs) for both spaces in the hopes of eradicating these little bastards for good. 🤞 pest issues suck.

Week 11 update - 6th week of flower and she seems to be ripening out pretty well. She’ll need a slight prune this week just to clean things up for the final push to chop. Otherwise, it’s just a matter of trying to keep the aphids at bay and getting to chop as quickly as possible. The ladybugs seem to be doing their thing pretty well here and this plant seems pretty resilient overall👍. Not much longer now - she should be the first one of the cycle on the chopping block.
Week 11 update - well the trichs suggest we may actually be closer than we thought. She’s colouring nicely and cloudy with a little amber at the tops so we’re gonna start flushing now. She’s right in the Breeders suggested window and I find most plants go about a week longer than suggested so it’s time to start wrapping up. Stayed tuned - we’re almost to the chop👍.

Another plant bites the dust and yet another cycle of bobbing and weaving with the various sack punches. The plant itself held up great considering the challenges. We ran into light cycle issues when her companion grow turned out to be be photoperiodic. We had to move er to the small cabinet to keep er on track. On top of that she was infested with early stage aphids with like 2 weeks to chop. Overall, I’m just glad we got to harvest as quick as we did - ended up salvaging a half decent grow. She showed some nice late stage colouring, reacted to the fim real well and for an organic grow - put out a decent count considering what she was fed. OSS is all good in my books🤙 And thanks again to those folks for doing what they do for us👍👊.
Taste & Smell: 🍭🍭
Effects: 🍭🍭🍭
The overall scent isn’t my cheddar but it’s definitely pretty powerful. Earthy with a little bit of a citrus hint to it. Very true to OSS’ description. The effects are definitely indica, a dazed and confused kinda high with a couchlocky, relaxing vibe. Never a bad time for ‘er but a better evening and video game option for sure. 2 & 3 outta 5 lollipops respectively but I will add a half lolli on the smokeability because she’s definitely a smooth draw👍.
Post cure update - gotta move the flavour factor to a 1. She tastes god aweful. That said, the effects are still a solid 3 - heavy indica. If we grow this again I’d chop a little earlier to keep a bit of raciness in the effects as a counter balance to the sedation.
Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️🎚️
I love fiming autos, it really does seem to do wonders for their side branch development.
It needs to be mentioned here that this was an “all organic” method - I should probably be docking points in terms of manageability and yield but we’ll get to that elsewhere.
Medium: 🥥
Ugh - promix top layer with a bottom layer of compost. I’m pretty sure it’s this medium that brought in our aphid issue. While I can appreciate the connoisseur quality of a full organic soil grow you just don’t realize the same robust rate of growth that you will through other mediums (not to mention the fact it’s a perfect breeding ground for pests). It’s dirty (cause it’s dirt) and it likely brought in the aphids that killed my coco grown white widow 3 weeks in to flower🤬🤬🤬. It’s getting 1/5 coconuts for the insects and I’m probably never growing indoors in soil again. Worth a look anyway and picked up a few ideas for next years outdoors.
Yield/Harvest🌴🌴
Again - a little unimpressed. All told we chopped out about 1.89oz but I do worry it’s overstated given it was on a 5 day as opposed to 10 day dry. Harvest was less than preferred for sure too. The aphids were pretty bad on the fans and stems so we had no choice - these girls needed a full wash. Very primitive method but does the job - 2 buckets of water, one with a little diluted H2O2 as the starter rinse. Trimmed em wet by the stalk and then gave each one a good dunk in the h2o2 mix and another swish in the final straight water bucket. The results speak for themselves - the amount Of dead bugs and loose leaf matter was unreal. Just to be safe we trimmed every bud from each branch post-soak. Usually prefer to leave em on the stems and dry slower but in this case - I’m getting rid of everything that’s not a smokeable final product before the dry is done. This dramatically reduced dry time and our basement is super dry as it is so not really preferred. The buds were fluffier than preferred too but that’s more to do with the change in light/move to the smaller cabinet That said, she did turn out pretty well considering the challenges. Don’t think I’ll ever grow indoor soil organic again but hey - u never really know a thing until ya try it yourself. Thanks to all who came in for a comment and followed along. I’ll be runn’n 3 RDWC buckets and a coco scrog on the next cycle If that tickles ya fancy. Feel free to tag along🤙👊😎. Until the next sprout, I’ll say, peace out! Happy new year folks - were gett’n auto destroyed for it fo sho!!!🤘
