Daddy's big banana

1/13/20 Well here's another week down for the count.. She's just like her mom, cheap and easy to keep... I give very small amounts of nutrients compared with other stains. She's got as many or more thrichomes as any plant I've ever grown (including gorilla glue auto and blue fruit autos) and she doesn't mind our local hot climates. If she's as potent as the 27% THC/ .01 CBD suggests then this strain will be one of my grow house regulars. This potent smelling girl carrys a scent that is more of a citrus with a pine under note rather than the banana I've read (of course it could show up again after curing)that hits after her floral/sweet scents begin to diminish. As of now her diet will consist of water, big bud, bud candy, and flower fuel until she has no more clear thrichomes. Once she's mostly cloudy and amber she'll get a couple of feedings with only water and bud candy followed by only water for the last few drinks b4 sending her into the dark I'm actually quite happy that she's finishing up a little slower as I would prefer her to fill out and fatten up much more before harvest. 1/13/20 her buds are beginning to swell and "suck' her hair in. Her hairs are at about 15% light orange and 85% white but are all beginning to curl in. Thrichomes are surprisingly 50% clear 50% cloudy which is good. Her SOG is developing nicely and I cant believe that it only took 3 seeds (purchased) to gain 12 plants. Too bad I cant smoke them yet because I've run out and refuse to pay for a far lower grade product as the black market isn't exactly reliable for clean cannabis. Oh well thank goddess for cuttings because oils and edibles have been giving me a whole new way to medicate without having to worry about potency and cleanliness of the product. Happy growing and feel free to reach out as I love to make new cannabuddies.. 1/15/20 Today I made my witches brew tea I use 1L or 4 Cups of my worm castings 1.5/2 T black strap molasses tablespoons of sea bird guano (depending on the phase of my plants, seabird for flower and i use bat guano for veg) 4 Gallons water And whatever organic nutrients I have laying around (today's tea had organic big bud and bud candy but only 2 teaspoons of each and 1/2 teaspoon of my bloom builder powder) or if my plants need something I'll add extra but really the main ingredient are listed above. Put it all into a 5 gallon or bigger bucket with a big rusted nail and mix. Then add bubble stones attached by tubes to the bubbler/air compressor and let it bubble for 24-48 hours max. Feed to plants once a week and they will smell great and I've noticed a huge difference in the flavor of my plants now compared to the few grows we didnt feed the tea. I dont know the exact science but it's helped us get a better flavor and since we have everything already setting it up it really doesn't cost us anything extra so it's a win win. 1/20/20 Although I could post a new week today I decided to stay in this one because this change didn't occur over night. Within the past 3 days she's changed quite a lot. Once the cool front moved in and the humidity lowered, she has really changed. Had you asked me last week who would finish first I'd have said, "gold leaf looks farther along although her breeder info suggests that she should finish a week after banana". Well true to breeder standards, she is looking more and more like she will be able to see harvest within the 8 week that was mentioned. That is quite surprising as my gold leaf kept ahead of her for every milestone up until now. I'm thinking that the heavy leaf content adds moisture and nutrients and so they don't begin die off as soon. Either way, this could also vary from phenotype to phenotype but it's still interesting to observe.
