GSC, day 11, she had her helmet a bit too long I believe. I thought I had lost her. But gave her some time and she was able to grow her first set of leaves. Being a sativa dominant strain, she will definitely be the last to get harvested.
Another shot of the GSC lady.
West Coast OG, day 11 as well. She is doing well.

UPDATE 10/26/2017 - Day 17 Need some opinions!
I've watered the the plants every 4 days consistently, with distilled water pH'ed to 6.7-6.8. RH 41-62%, and temps at 66-75 degrees Fahrenheit. The WCOG seems to show a lighter green color on one of its leaves, after googling it.. TMV, anybody agree or think of any other possibilites? Also GSC is showing some slight discoloration.. The bubba'yum seems to be the only normal one.
Soil is F.F.O.F. mixed with worm castings, dolomite lime, and perlite. Also the light was initially 28 inches and later I raised the light to 30 inches. I've lowered it back down to 28 inches.
I've watered the ladies 3 times already, every 3-4 days with water pH'ed to 6.7-6.8. So far they're doing fine, minus the fact that I almost lost the GSC girl. I noticed that the edges of all the leaves had a slight curling upwards to try to shade parts of their own leaves; I've raised the P600 up from 28 inches up to 30inches. They're doing much better. I've also added a clip on fan and have been trying to keep my Rhumidity consistently at around 40-60%. Any ideas on a humidifier that is automated? And has a bigger reservoir? I work out of town and have to leave them alone for 3 days out if the week. Currently contemplating a SensorPush hydrometer meter with a WiFi Gateway to monitor the environment while I'm gone. My lady gets annoyed when I call to not just say I love her.. but to ask her to check what the RH and Temps are πΉππ° lol
This is my kind company if I do say so myself. Most definitely some fat buds from these girls. I can't wait to see how they finish up in a couple of weeks. I'm excited to see how it all turns out. I send you my best wishes buddy. Cheers!
@DabCrab, I definitely have COB research on my mind, that's definitely the future in lighting. I think if i educate myself on building one and what exact specifications are optimal I'd save myself so much money. But first thing is first.. I have to get at least half your level at growing before I can venture into another hobby altogether lol Have a good one bro! I'll definitely follow and take pointers from ya! βοΈπ
@EdsterGrows, That sounds pretty great actually. I've got 4 viparspectra 300 watt (136 actual watts) LED's that I think work pretty well for vegging. They aren't exactly good flowering lights but I think they work fairly well regardless. They can put out .5 to .75 grams per watt if you really push them so it's kinda decent. Right now I'm flowering under a custom built Cree COB LED I built from Rapid LED. It's a real show stopper. If you find you want to change things up I think COB's are the future. Though it sounds like you are killing it with the platinum LED's already so no need for that. I'll be patiently waiting to see the harvest report and hear how the smoke report is. Best wishes buddy. Cheers!
@DabCrab, I definitely share your same sentiment bro! I've been abstaining from purchasing herb from my usual street pharmacist so that I truly can enjoy the fruits of my labor. As for the company Platinum LED, they're really a stand up group of guys. 5 year warranty, upper-mid level/borderline high level LEDs and above exceptional customer service and warranty. If money were no issue I would have gone for the Black dog LED, but two of the P600 would still be 400 cheaper than their light I was wanting. I'm very happy with the LED, but another one would be perfect for my 4x4. Thanks again for stopping by bro! Smoke report is coming sooooon π
@JesusPapers, thank you fellow cultivator. It's my first real setup in which I can control the environment. So far so good. Any and all tips are welcomed. Thank you for stopping by! π
Thank you @Squirrel_Master, I checked out your monster harvest of 20oz. That is definitely a goal of mine! π After this grow, I'm looking at trying my hand at photos. Possibly from the guys out in Cali, Ocean Grown genetics.
Wow, that's a goal of mine too!! Must have confused my diary with another though. I just had a harvest of just over four ounces, which I thought was decent lol... 20oz though!
I've not seen much from Ocean Grown, I'll have to check them out.
@Fun_Growin, awesome man, lots of patience on your part! π
I wish I had enough space to have different tents going for flowering and vegging. Instead I looked up the manufacturers specs. And made some measurements of my tent/canopy space and figured 3 plants won't be as over zealous and I'd give the girls a chance to get as much light as they need without them fighting for it. The P600
Is rated to be equivalent to an 800 watt HPS, but only pulling 345w from the wall, it's a great light but I'm sure the hps equivalency is a bit of a reach.. which is why I'm trying only 3 this time around as opposed to 5 in a smaller space (dumb idea on my part). I'm confident that the set up will at LEAST yield me more than 6 ounces.
I've only grown autos, but eventually I'd like to grow some photos and try different techniques to get bigger yields. I'm digging the ocean grown genetics, but I'd like to get better before dropping 120 on 10 regular seeds lol
@EdsterGrows,
I have a 400w T5 veg
My first 4-5 weeks Flower are 380w HTG LED pulls like 315w at wall, at 4foot away,
Once the 4x4 is full and light dosent reach the floor
Put in my KIND 600w LED pulls like 380w at wall, I strap it to the roof of my 7 foot tent, and I try to train my plants not to get over 3 foot from the ground so I still have 3-4 foot for my light...
EVERY light is differant, and matching the canopy to the light is the trick as far as I can tell, like I mentioned I killed a few grows before I figured it out, then I abondend my DWC and went Soil, so I'm dialing that now but got my light under control finally..
LEDs are very focused light, as the pant gets bigger it can take more... but untill she is big and bushy mine get scared ππ»
@Fun_Growin, what kind of LEDs are you using? Definitely do a neem oil spray for the soil/grow medium and cayenne pepper/soap mix for foliage spray. I had zero problems with bugs.. but I sure as hell stunted or caused crazy stretching to my ladies because I didn't know how important air ventilation was.. literally had only a portable a/c recirculating old ass air. That caused a domino effect of issues. But thanks man, i appreciate it, I'll most definitely be following your grows. Any wisdom is good wisdom when it comes to horticulture π
It's Day 4, all of the ladies have sprouted
WCOG and GSC both have helmets, the bubba'yum doesn't. They're all doing a little Baby Groot dance ππ½ lol
Projected harvest date is Dec 14 (9 weeks)
