@Solarcradle, thanks for the information and details. I plan on starting soon and didn't want to have issues because of the cooler temps in-house. Since we are using the same strand, I wanted to get your input. Good luck on your first winter grow!
@BossHogg6, I have three thermometers. One hangs above the plant canopies. The other two are in the pots, on top of the soil. I bought these thermometers when they were much cheaper. I really like them for their small size and easy to read display. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07KFRWDT7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My house temp has currently been kept at 70F since the cold began. Because my tent is only 3 feet x 20 inches and 62 inches tall, it heats pretty well from my 1000w LED light. The actual power draw is 245w from the wall. On days where it is drafty weather outside, -15C and below, I imagine I'll need to close off vents. Will see. This is my first winter grow. So far, small tent equals easy to keep warm. I'm still running a small fan into my tent door, as cool air intake. It feels like -11C outside right now, and above my canopy is 25C+ and at the soil is 24.2C. Temperature is good with two vents open and a fan. You have me wondering what -30C will look like. :) Think I'll be okay. Keep in mind, the light is only about 12" from the canopy and for most pictures I have the vegetative lighting turned off.
I added some pics to show you what I saw on my thermometers. :)
