Using root juice
Transplanted into all mix biobizz soil
Need to transplant the last three soon.
Ph water 6.3-6.5
Going to veg a lot longer this time due to a run of bad yield
Transplanted two into final pot and the third Didn’t make it.
Still feeding 1ml root and trying to get wet dry water feed.
Letting each grow to 6 and top to 3rd. And cleared the nodes underneath.
I will let each side grow 4 out and top to the third. And plan to remove the middle growth and branch on each side. For 8 main colas and all side branches.
Really suffering with low temps and low yields. I have now added an hps 600w in the middle and 550w x2 LEDS along each side.
When I put the hps in I could not believe how well the temps have risen and I have removed the oil heater.
Fingers crossed this works this time.
Two of the smaller plants I will not be creating 12 colas. The remaining ones I have trained the same. Removing the second and third nodes off each arm. And topping the end of each arm. Creating 6 on each side.
They are very slow to recover. But will be vegging longer this time. And this time not using nutes every water which I think has been my problem in the past even though biobizz state they can be given every watering.
Plants were looking terrible this week. I use a humidifier and I am In a hard water area. Well I wondered why the exhaust fan I had to keep adjusting and researched and the hard water had clogged the carbon filter. Ordered a new one costly mistake.
Anyone know exactly what the brown patches are. I assumed a calcium deficiency due to lockout as I was adjusting ph to 6.3. So I flushed through with 6.8 and they perked up the next day. I added calmag to be safe. Also suffering cold temps at night so could have been phosphorus deficiency lockout (only guessing) so I have increased temps at night. Never had these issues in veg before.
Put in 2xhps 600w for flowering. So photos won’t be as good for a while.
Nute burn on the tips. So need to go even less maybe 25% instead of 50% on the nutes.
Will start bloom soon
Growing well apart from middle one. Pot fees heavy so I am drying it out for a few days before I water.
Will be increasing nutrients next feed to 1ml grow 1ml bloom and will introduce top max soon.
This week nutrient change
25ml grow into 30 litre
30ml bloom
10ml Top max
So far no severe yellowing as previous grows. Plants responded well to increased bloom.
Leaves bright green this week and brown spots on a few leaves. I thought at first nitrogen deficiency but now researched and it could be a magnesium deficiency. I am going to give some Epsom salts 2moro I read 1 teaspoon per 4 litres to see if any improvement also ordered calmag to be sure. Hope they improve.
Leaves still looking a light green. Improved slightly with cal mag and began using pk booster to see if that helps.
Used the ok booster just twice
Increased the top max this week
30litre
40 Bloom
30 Grow
40 Top Max
Previous grow I didn’t use top max and I think it makes a difference!
Flushing ph’d plain water
I could let these go another two weeks I’d say but two are ready now so due to space for harvesting I will be cutting them down at the same time 🙁
Few better pictures before the chop
I tried to change the rating but wouldn’t allow jack herer I would give 10/10 few seeds but not all thankfully. I do think the plant is sensitive to changes and maybe that’s why one seeded
@Bdawg, from my experience I decreased grow 1-2 weeks into flower and I had severe yellowing. This time I am giving grow until flush along with bloom and now topmax. I think some nutrients you can use only bloom but biobizz is grow alongside hope that helps.
@Bdawg, I always PH because my water is sometimes 8.9 so I PH down to 6.3-6.5 but there are nutrients you can get that already alters PH. But I know others who don’t PH at all in soil.
They look spot on for 5 weeks topped once. I found the jack a slow starter and a bit of a sulker after topping but it surges home in final weeks rapidly maturing. I can’t see you having any yield issues here. Best of luck with the grow, Jack belongs on the very top shelf👍
it's very interesting to watch your diary. I wish you a huge harvest of buds.
What do you prefer to use a Bong or a joint. 4-20 Bro.
subscribed and watching your grow.👍
@Timothy1231, No as far as I’m aware it is 18/6 the entire time but some people do as much as 24 hours but it’s better for some dark but you only switch to 12/12 if it’s normal feminised seeds not auto.
Does anyone know for definite what the brown patches are on the leaves? I have took a video and pictures. Is it possible nutrient burn (although I am going easy). I don’t think it’s calcium or magnesium. Really unsure any advice would be great!
