Just starting off, nothing major here. Using Coco / perlite 60/40. Will be using General Hydroponics 3 part Micro Flora Bloom /w Calimag in every feeding. Week 1 no nutrients just calimag and non PH'd water. PH is about 6.7 from the tap and runs at 200 EC.

Using week 1 solution and calmag with every feed. PH'ing water to 5.8-6.0 for each feed. I started filling my 3 gal smartpots with coco/perlite and then will do a full flush with calmag to buffer the coco. It will take about 2 days to fully dry out and I hand toss this after a day to speed it up.

Transplanted from solos on all 5. Four of the five are going to 3 gal smartpots, and one is going to a 5 gal smartpot to see if there is a difference. This all went in to a coco/perlite mix that I pre buffered with 5ml calmag / gal. I then let that coco dry out completely before transplanting.

Since the 4 Assed Monkey go a bit longer, I will extend my Week 2 solution to almost 1.5 weeks to veg it out a bit more. I am building my scrog and it will be going in very soon.

Started using week 3 solution. At this point using about 2 gal total for all 5 plants. I started LST on plants #1 and #2. On 29 Oct I put the light to 75% power and had to turn it back down very soon as the leaves were not looking happy. Put light back down to 50% power (draws 480W at the wall on full blast) and the plants liked it a lot more. Light is about 22" above the canopy.

Started to see the buds develop early at the end of last week. This week I put my rebuild-able scrog net in. This thing will really let the room fill out nicely.

Started doing some light defoliation a bit each day on the very low level offshoots and any big leafs blocking main bud sights. Looking back I should have done a bit more earlier on as these are very heavy and leafy plants. At the start of the week my light was at 55%, on 13 Nov I put it to 100% to see how they react. I will monitor to see if they are ready for it but they really took off this last week. My one plant in the back left always appears droopy compared to the others because the leafs on it are so big it weighs down the whole plant. The plant in the back right was always janky and I considered not even growing it. The seed came through a few days later than the rest and I almost wrote it off. Figured I would use it as an experiment and try and learn from it instead.

Thank you for reading! By the end of last week I finally had the light up to 100% power. I noticed a bit of curling on my one plant afterwards but I need to soldier on with it all the way up as the other plants are eating it up and loving it. I guess this isn't a true scrog, but I will continue to weave the buds and stems in and out of the net to try and keep as even of canopy as possible. I continue to remove lower offshoots to the nodes and I am really trying to focus just on sites that are getting enough light to make a decent nug. The tent is filling out nicely and I am loving it! If I touch the flowers to bend them under the scrog, my fingers STINK like a beautiful fruit. I can't wait to try this out and I am getting excited. I will continue to use the same nutrient solution mix for this week. As of 17 Nov I am starting to water 2x daily using the formula for 3part GHE listed in the picture above. After 12 hours I can see the 3 gal containers are pretty much dry from the last daily watering. Up to now I was watering everyday once (to runoff 2x a week to flush any of the excess salts away and allow my roots to stretch out a bit). Now that the roots have reached the bottom of the smartpots and fully sticking through, I am going to be watering to runoff at least 5x a week to make sure nothing is building up too much in the later flower weeks. I appreciate everyone stopping by and taking a look. I am having a blast for my second grow and love sharing with this community!

Hi, thanks for taking a look at my second grow. My question is, does anyone have any recommendations on what I can use in addition to the GHE trio nutes that I am already using with the goal to making bigger and better buds? Thank you,

Bigger and better BUds a re a Product of TIME, POTSIZE, CONDITIONS, and as last point Nutrients TIME: a good flower takes at least 8 Weeks, some Strains need 10-12 for a nice Matured Bud . POTSIZE: Bigger POTS more ROOTS more FRUITS, COnditions like Light ( In flower is only more light more Light) And the fitting Temperatures and RH. And yes in the End the Nutrients are in the Game too. A very good AIrflow is needed too. So lets look in your grow.TIME: You are in 3rd week of flower. Looking good, give your Plants at least 5 mor Weeks to get ready. POTSZE: yes thats a good size, but you can go with bigger ones for a PHotopriod plant. LIGHT: I Think its aQuantumboard= ( or 2=?) looking good too. TEMPS and RH.. looking good to.........NUTRIENTS: well done.. you can use from next week on a P+K Booster from any company.. look for arounf 9 percent P and K for flower. just add it to your actual feeding. So conclusion will be like this: Get a booster, and 5 more Weeks to your lady and you see BIIIIG Buds

Week 9 has shown some massive bud site growth as well as the trichomes starting to really show. I am on Week 7 of the feed guide that I use and it brought down the FloraGro quite a bit. I am very happy with the way this is turning out so far and the sleeper plant that I thought was weakest is turning out to be the biggest!

This week so far has been a real pleasure to watch and work with. The plants were established in their final positions and the last 15 days or so have just been about building up those nugs and getting those crystals packed in there. I am very excited to see how this ends up. I am very nervous though about leaving for a work trip on Tuesday and coming back Friday. So that means I will be gone during days 69-72, which are crucial days in an autoflower grow. My plan right now is to just mix up as many nutes as possible and have my girlfriend water the plants for me while house sitting. The problem with the scrog net is the availability to the plants and watering them. It can be a pain int he ass but the weight you get from the net is beyond worth the hassle it brings. As always, thank you for checking out this grow!

Hope you are doing well, I had to leave for 4 days for a work trip and I was freaking out a little bit since I really like taking extra good care of these girls. I ended up mixing 16 Gal of Week 8 nutrients for my girlfriend to water 2x a day, once at 8AM and once at 8PM. I had measured and set 4 of the buckets up for her and she has seen me water many of times and she helped out greatly so thank you. It is sometimes very difficult to water under a tightly packed scrog I must say. Right when I got home and watered the plants, I noticed that there was a bit of the nute solution left and I measured the pH and it was at 6.8.... which means, and I don't know how, but the pH went up a whole number from the time I left and time I got back. It is what it is and I needed to correct this before it did any lasting damage. I quickly started up Week 9 of the feed which changed the ratio and made sure to give extra runoff to try and remove any salt buildup and properly recharge the coco with the pH 5.8 mix. Things look to be going very well. I do regret not defoliating and removing lower branches more than I did (and I felt I did a lot). I don't want to cut too much the last couple weeks but some of the very low ends that receive no light I have removed at the base. Thank's for following along!

Good evening, When looking at the trichs under a microscope, I am noticing basically just clear or clear with red tips, and no cloudy trichs like my last grow. I don't want to go much longer, the buds look great. Any ideas? Can I harvest part now and some later with autos?

Hello.Your buds look great and ready to be chopped. If you don't want to go much longer, you can definitely chop it.You are most likely at the highest point of thc now, just cut it down.I myself hate ambers too, this is the stage I chop my plants as well.Sometimes trics turn from clear to amber without any obvious signs of milkies,I've had it before. But end product was truly killer and yes,you can chop some and leave the rest under the light for a week or so.This wont make any difference in quality, you are safe..Wish you a happy harvest

Hello, all. This is going to be the last week of the grow and I am very excited. I am not using a filter and the smell just smacks you in the face when you walk in my house. I will be using a filter next time. I have been smoking a couple of the very low nugs that I cut last week and I couldn't be happier with the results. After 3-4 days of drying it smokes amazing but still has that very very earthy taste and smell that will be removed during curing. I have another tent setup and ready to go but I have found that my test cuts have dried WAY TO QUICK. That may be due to their smaller size but I am also running a dehumidifier in the basement next to to the intake on my main growing tent to keep the RH around %30 the last couple weeks of the grow to remove as much risk of mold as possible. I will be posting more pictures along the way but during the harvest section I will state a couple lessons learned as well as things I plan to do different in the future. Thank you all and hope you have a great holiday! I know I will!

So at the start of week 12 I cut down the smallest plant in the room since I was getting impatient and wanted to dry something out to smoke it. Well, it dried a bit quicker than I wanted at 48% RH so I decided to raise the RH to about 60% before I cut the others. The last 4 plants I left in the tent really fattened up these last 8 days or so and I am really glad I did. Now, I have one plant that is dried and ready to smoke while I continue to cure the rest, and the others have just begun their drying journey on 20 Dec 2019. Talk about a nice little Christmas present to me! Thank you for taking the time to grow this one with me!

They smell and smoke amazing. All of the plants are in jars right now for their final cure and I am trimming the rest and putting them in jars this weekend I hope. Its an easy Answer... the plant is not ready, the breeder says it takes 9-10 weeks for flowering. The whole plant looks fresh and green, no orange/ brown pistils and only clear trichomes..... she is not ripe yet
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimarcommented5 years ago
@Sugarnugolia, and yes ive been harvesting automatics in stages. it have been no problem for the plant... the remaining buds were developing after part harvest. and gave nice buds, not as big as maincola but very nice resinous

Mrs_Larimarcommented5 years ago
@Sugarnugolia,i dont agree with the 65 days..... if you read here on gd they say anything about 65 days but if you scroll down they say 9-10 weeks of flowering.... here is the link just scroll down a bit there you can read the 9-10 weeks growdiaries.com/seedbank/mephisto-genetics/4-assed-monkey But as always its your descision, you see the whole plant

@Mrs_Larimar, Good morning. The breeder says 65 days at the most and I am already 14 days over that. I am getting very spotty leaves now and this is the final days of the plant. I think a big problem is my old crappy phone camera doesn't do any justice. I have tried messing with the settings but things come out very weird under grow lights. I have a lot of hairs, I will continue to check the trichs but I am going to be cutting this weekend! Have you stagger harvested autos? Everything I have read about stagger harvesting with autos is it will kill the rest of the plant if you cut the main cola due to stress. I have no idea but i'm excited either way!! Thank you for following along it's been a pleasure chatting with you!

My first photoperiod plants are just falling into flower so yours can be a guide I just need patience lol Mrs Larimar is a great example why I love the grower community. Such a sweet and knowledgeable assest to this entire site. Keep up the great work and I'll be excited to see her finish.

Autos and photos are separated by only a single thing ; vegging time. Autos go into flower whenever they want, photos go into flower whenever you want. That's all. You can always do partial harvest on any kind of mj plant.I've done it before, was all success.Don't worry about it. And keep in mind that trichomes still continue to develop some more after harvest.More can turn into amber if you harvest later. Also,as I mentioned,I would chop it as it looks pretty ready.Mobile cameras can be confusing such as mine.I think a beautiful harvest is knocking the door.Cheers
the end.
