10/23 - Week 2 Patio Herer. She growing big and I didn't think the seedman genetics were strong, but I was wrong apparently. Considering giving to friend, but she's in such good heal might have to keep her ")
10/26 - Damn what a Sativa so lengthy and stretchy. Incredible grow in veg, very fast. I hope she flowers as great as she's growing now. She's going to take up room though, I can tell.
She's now in 5 gallon as you can see with more soil. Will go low on nutes or water only with silica and micros for next week or two.
11/4 - She's growing and her side-branches are catching up! Very soon I will stick here under 12/12.
11/10 - She was growing so fast I had to switch her to 12/12 and use the last of my tent to get her in so she doesn't grow to the top of the tent before flower. She's healthy, other than that, want to push her to center after getting the other flower girls out.
11/16 - She's giant and been in 12/12 for little over a week. Imaging she'll turn very soon and then still grow taller :( ... she's growing up too fast ;-)
11/18 - swapped around my lighting. Moved Fluence for under side canopy lighting and swapped reflector for cycloptics ... Moved plants to outside.
11/25 - Eating, Drinking, and Growing! This space is going to get crowded fast. Thinking of starting some defoliating or trimming lower branches. She's the tallest, naturally, because she's a Jack.
11/30 - She's starting to grow her buds outward now. Think she's done stretching ... which is good for a Jack, because I can't handle much more. Not too much smell yet.
11/11 - She's a Sativa, going to be a longer ride; I can already tell, but looking great! Pictures updated from last Thursday, sorry for the delay. She's got a sweet, fresh slight Skunky smell to her, but not too strong right now.
12/21 - These babies are fattening up big time under the Fluence VYPR X Plus. Sold my prior equipment to a buddy and now I have the light and all the girls outside a tent which I sealed off the room. I vent during day and seal at night. This Jack is going to pack on the weight for last few weeks and it smells delicious! She's eating every other day full-feed with not too bad of any burning ... I think she can handle it, but will be feeding with just some Prime Zyme next feed.
1/1/18 - These babies have way exceeded my expectations. I can tell a difference when the colas are all as tall as each other and have good space in between them. They are a super sweet, skunky smell with a little bit of earth.
1/10 - She's still fattening up ... massive colas and going to keep feeding her strong, she's not done yet and think she will go easily 9 1/2-10 weeks. Love her scent -- so spicy, piney, and tiny bit of citrus funk. I had to tie down her colas to bamboo as she's not a giant center main stalk -- that's how I know her colas are getting fatter since they start to lean.
1/16 - She's not done yet, not IMO. She's still fattening up and she's a sativa, so I'm letting her go longer and going to give her more feeding. I can tell versus my other ones that she is different. She smells super skunky though with those sweet, piney tones that Jack has ... so good!
1/27 - Been flushing for a week ... was going to go longer, but after looking at the terps (and oh man the size) I feel the time is ripe :-) This week hairs have started turning orange rapidly, some new still, but mostly rapid orang-ing.
This plant is super sticky by the way, every time I touch her my hands are like glue! Some plants have terps but aren't as resinous, but this baby has resin for sure.
She grew incredibly tall and had lots of spacing in between the nodes during veg, but she fared really well when LST is done right will develop massive, thick and long colas dense with resin and tons of crystals. She will need support as she fills these colas out. She will smell of sweet pine with some spiciness. She was absolute dream and handled big feeds are increasing little by little. Recommend trimming bottom branches and leaves in between colas LST'ing them to same height and you're golden!
*SMOKE REPORT*
She's straight fire -- feels like most potent I grew this round! Every time you open the back it's like you've taken off to the islands. Smoke is like a sweet citrus funk and hits you very quick. It's not just a head high, I would describe as a 50/50 body and head hitter (not for the occasional smoker either, it's strong). After a few more minutes your whole body and head are tingling hardcore and you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. I don't feel as focused with this strain, not lazy enough to do nothing, but doing serious mental work isn't happening, you want to just relax and float off.
Growing this strain on Grow Diaries was awesome! It was fun to see if anyone had feedback and measure my progress along the way. Equally, it is fun to show others how well this strain performed and how much it produced -- which was funny considering the cost of these beans.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, Gotcha. Glad you have some feed back/experience. Guess I'll move to top or to a side for more top down lighting then. Don't want to east the almost 200 umols.
@BigDaddyK, I was hoping it would get more light under the canopy. Is that hype the way I'm doing it? Maybe I should just put back overhead? Hoping for bigger buds ... maybe foolish of me?
@ElevatedThinking, Thank you for your vote by the way. Sadly it was on the diary I'm not rooting for this month but never the less it's very appreciated. Thank you <3
@Lucky777, Yes. They have a multibar one which can be mounted 6 inches above canopy, but the one I have has to be 15" or more away. It puts out average of 1100+ umols and was little lower on wattage. I didn't have enough room for the other one.
@ElevatedThinking,
I guess the plant on the pic with a brick will be around 170g of dried cured buds, that's sick.💪
BTW: I think so too. It's just cool to share your grow...😊👍
Enjoy your smoke dude. 😊
Man, the garden is look dense with those nugs! I'm digging the garden. Your pheno of Jack seems to really be packing on bud size wise. You think you're going to go 9-10 weeks with her? I know they said it can be from 7-9 generally, but I've been hearing people just go 10 weeks no matter the strain recommendation for most buds unless you're messing with a crazy 12 week haze or something.
@@Colorado, I harvested ... they did ripen in time and are freakin' huge! I would say look at my timeframe and monitor yours accordingly. The last few days the hairs drastically turned orange and the weight/etc was all there already!
@@Colorado, Yea. I dont think less than 10 for Jack will feel right. I've heard the same too. I think they are smoking crack or have this sweet setup with C02 tanks and everything near perfect. I'm good, but not anywhere near perfect.
Damn, Those buds are looking fat! I started flowering last week so I've been using your diary as a guide. How strong is the smell in the grow room at this point? I don't have a carbon filter currently so I may have to invest in one. Thanks for the update, man.
@@Colorado, Yea, man. They smell, but not as bad as my amnesia lemon did. But, the still smell because they have skunk in them. If you don't have a filter you will smell them ;)
@ElevatedThinking, Thanks for the update Big Homie! I've been afraid of the stretch because I'm rocking a 3x3 tent, space is limited and I plan on vegging for 4 more weeks while I wait on getting some auto's . I'm going to be dropping the Jack from a 5 gal to a 10 gal im 2 weeks so space is of great concern. Thanks again
@ChewVodka85, I would say double easily but probably more. I tied down too while they were stretching and trimmed off small branches. Just count on 2-3x. In veg she stretched which was hard because not many leaves but tall plant.
