Entered week 5 of flower yesterday, decided to give a full strength feed based on advice from a friend (against my own intuition). Previous weeks were fed at about 80% strength, and had showed some leaf-tip burn, but nothing worse. Since the full strength feed, I have not seen any worsening of the burning, and the pH swung less upwards than usual, indicating that they are in fact hungry for it! Ppm only drifted about 5 over the course of a night, out of 1650. Raised the lights about 6 inches, glad that this diary asks for height(or I wouldn't have checked)! Terps are here, although I am nose blind and cannot pick up on subtleties. Doing my daily pHing and top-off. I'm going to top off with 80% strength. Plants also need to be rotated. Began building my reservoir. Added a water meter. Need to get a few more pieces and wait for sealant to dry.

@Shocker1185 I didn’t mean it as a criticism pal sorry, I just wanted to know what you had done to get that many bud sites! 😃

@eightleggeddj, one thing about my CMHs though..there is almost no stretch in flower

@eightleggeddj, silica, vegging with t5s close to canopy seems to stack the nodes on. Cyco nutrients all the way

@eightleggeddj, no worries! I sent you a message as well, but I've been running almost the whole line of cyco nutes. They're under CMH's. As far as the amount of tops...I actually did NO topping , or really anything to increase bud sites other than including silica in my regiment and also vegging with t5's only an inch or 2 above canopy.

That’s looking great buddy, shame we couldn’t see how you got to that stage or is that secret 😀

@eightleggeddj,I suppose I could go through the pics from this run and put them in appropriate weeks. I was having trouble confirming my account on here but finally got it situated...you'll see plenty of stuff from me from now!

Cheers buddy, I’ve just started using bio silicon if that’s similar, trying a bit of node stacking myself having read about the technique the other day.

@eightleggeddj,I honestly didn't really TRY to stack them...this is also my first time with hydro so maybe that's playing a role as well. I didn't even top these... There are advantages AND disadvantages to stacking ....I'm stuck with it until I get some hps in there to help them stretch out in the beginning of flower. My cmh's aren't performing as well as I had hoped overall

What are your issues or complaints about CMH? How do you think they compare to let’s say a 400w HID light (Mh or HPS)?

Good luck 👍
