BF Tangerine Dream

Week 1a: Had 1/2 seeds sprout during the first week and one rotted out in the cube. Repeated week 1 with a fresh seed. One plant is further ahead growth wise but they are being kept on the same cycle. Bigger plant has been topped once already and added a fan to increase stem strength. *The genetics in this diary have been generously donated by the team at Barney's Farm*

Nothing too eventful during week 2. Continued topping the plants so that each will grow 4 colas. Going to add some different nutrients going into week 3.

Smooth sailing into week 3. Added floralicious plus to the feeding schedule. One plant growing pretty tall and one staying short and stocky. Interested to see the height difference into flower.

Transition to flower begins this week. Ladies got a fresh water change and will be getting HPS bulbs once the lights go off and cool down. 22 inch plant is going to get unruly and will have to be tied down aggressively to avoid growing into the lights.

Getting to be a couple of big girls. Added liquid koolbloom to the feeding schedule this week. Not as stretchy yet as I anticipated but I am standing closely by with twine to splay them out if needed.

Added a full strength dose of armor si to the mix this week as I noticed a bit of breaking near the main split. I also tied the split point for extra reinforcement. Did some mild defoliation this week and will continue to do so as needed throughout the remainder of flower.

I am using the same pictures from last week as not much has changed. I will be doing some more aggressive defoliation tonight to open things up considerably.

Noticed that I neglected to mention that I have been using rapidstart almost every week so I added that to the list. Did some very aggressive defoliation and tied some branches down to increase the light to the center and down the stalks significantly. The humidity is a bit higher than I'd like at 45% so I will be purchasing a dehumidifier to get that under control before they start putting on serious bulk. I have a small fan moving the air around for now so I'm not too worried for the time being.

Added some new stuff to the reservoir this week. Flying Skull z7 enzymes to keep down on the slime and bad bacteria that is causing off smells in my water. Also added bud candy because I like the results I've gotten from it in the past. Going to stop removing leaves now.

My girls are really starting to fill out now. I'm still doing some minor shuffling but have stopped defoliation. At this point I've removed the FloraGro and Armor Si. I've noticed a small amount of upward curling and yellowing on the topmost smaller leaves. I'll keep my eye on it but am not too concerned at the moment.

The final stretch is upon us ladies and gentlemen. I expect by the end of next week they will be ready to be flushed and anticipating a nice long hang dry. The smell is completely insane right now, very glad I bought a new filter for this grow.

Unfortunately found 2 smallish buds being effected by mold so I had to remove them. The humidity is hovering at 43% right now and there is constant and medium heavy air movement so I am not sure why the mold developed. Any dehumidifier I can find only pulls moisture from the air down to 50-52% so that would be a foolish investment at this stage in the game. The next grow I will focus on keeping the plants spread apart wider. Nutrients have been heavily dialed back as I prepare the plants to be flushed and harvested.

I would definitely grow this strain again. I'd do a few things differently to get a bigger yield but overall I am once again satisfied with the quality that Barney's Farm offers.
