12/22 - Today I set up automated watering for the girls using Hydro Halo's. Still working on getting it dialed in. The girls seem a little stressed from the transplanting, topping and Hydro Halo staking. I may have done it all a little close together. Sweet Baby James seems to be the most unhappy, which I am not too worried about as it is by far the smallest plant of the 3. Hopefully with a little TLC over the next few days they will cheer up and continue to grow as rapidly as they were before being messed with so much. Also, I recently switched to RO water from spring water, which will save me a lot of money. I wasn't aware of how sensitive RO water is to PH Down which caused some problems. I used the usual amount I was using for 5 gallons of spring water and ended up with a PH of 4.9, which I got rid of and made a new batch. Reservoir EC 1276, PH 6.1 (Mid Veg Nutes). 12/23 - Reservoir EC 1197, PH 5.8 (Mid Veg Nutes) 12/24 - Reservoir EC 1208, PH 6.0 (Mid Veg Nutes) 12/26 - Reservoir EC 1193, PH 6.0 (Mid Veg Nutes) 12/28 - Today was a bad day. My inexperience has finally caught up with me and I have officially killed Bobby Dazzler and possibly Sweet Baby James. Mainlining was going great and the girls were reacting great! This morning I tried low stress training for the first time with catastrophic consequences. The 2 new tops had become quite brittle and tore away from the main stem while I was trying to train them down. I thought I was being gentle but after some research I guess I should have warmed the stems up a little before trying to tie them down. I ran to my local hydro store to get some grafting tape (which was out of stock), by the time I got home Bobby Dazzler was horribly wilted and limp. RIP Bobby Dazzler. Sweet Baby James also suffered some minor tearing in the same spot but seems to be doing okay and hasn't wilted. Hopefully the tears will heal up and create some nice strong knuckles. Long Shanks however is a monster and had no problem being trained. She will be ready for her second topping tomorrow. Res EC 1242, PH 5.9

One of my seedlings has very droopy leaves and slight taco-ing. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this? I am using Canna Coco. All fertigation notes and pictures included in diary. Thanks

Seems like light heat stress and over watering gotta let those roots keep air flow going around or they will stall out no fought brother ... Looking good for day 8 as it is now cheers

Do you think the girls are ready for the flip to 12/12? I am mainlining so both plants have 8 grow tips (topped 3 times). It has been a week since Long Shanks got her final topping and 3 days since Sweet Baby James got hers. (I have circled the 8 grow tips in the photos).

Let them reach the metal ring before you flip to flower, trust me I made this mistake on my last grow, gelat og. I'm sure if I'd left one more week vegging she'd be monstrous! 🌱👍😁

I noticed that my plant had hermied and the pollen sac's have opened and released their pollen. The stigmas on my plant are showing no signs of pollination (dying/browning). Does this mean the pollen is sterile? Has anybody lucked out with an infertile hermie before? Thanks

This is a very good question, without an easy answer. I never thought I would see it, nor did I think it existed...but I have seen fuax nanners before on a friends plant. I told him he seeded...but nothing happened. They were everywhere. Clear as day male pollen sacs but they were inert. He also had faux seeds growing all over the place. From the naked eye, it was seeding, but taking one off and checking proved it was empty. I highly suggest taking off a developed calyx from under canopy and break it open. If you have a white to brown shell forming on the inside, you're seeded. If you find a small white or green, hard speck inside (and the rest is hollow) it's not seeded and those nanners may be inert. I'm on the "silver lining" side of things and I feel that if they haven't seeded in full after 72 hours, there's no mass pistil die off and no bulbous heads growing on top of your buds....I'd lean towards faux nanners. The only worrisome part is the other girl in the tent. If you do have a seeding issue, or one is developing, segregate the other lady as soon as possible. Better to lose one then 2👍 Good luck, my friend. I really do hope it is all a false alarm👍

Could make edibles or tinctures with that still. Even hash.

@MovingOn, there is definitely some visible pollen on leaves below the male parts. Luckily after this harvest I will be growing outdoors for the season so I will have plenty of time to give the grow room a deep scrub down. Hermies suck!

@DrGHemp, if the pollen is visible on the leaves, I am guessing there will be seeds everywhere. Your closet and adjoining rooms will even need a major clean-out to prevent future crops from going to seed too. Male plants outside have been found to pollinate females up to 2 miles (3km) away. Pollen stays around worse than glitter does, ha.

@MovingOn, Thats what I was thinking brother. Depending on how seeded the buds are. If only a few seeds, I'm fine with picking them out as it is only for personal use. If it is heavily seeded, I will make bubble hash.

The taco like shape to your leaves is due to heat stresses . You can do a few things to help it out . You can either raise the light reducing the amount of lux dilivered to your plant or you need to get a better ventilation set up . Ventilation will be key to growing indoors . Other then that your plants look like they are well on their way , keep up the good work and best of luck to you on the rest of your project !

@DrGHemp, The ideal height for you lamp to be is 20 inches from the plants , but this depends on a variety of things size of the plants size of the light and so on . Being that your using LED you might wanna be abit higher depending on the Lux of your unit . You might need to raise it higher then 20 inches from the canopy .

@The_Projexx, Thank you for the feedback! I have raised my lights, I had a feeling they may be a little too close.
