Found one rendition of this strain that was amazing for MS pain. Been chasing that pheno every since. Hoping one of these ladies can step up to to the plate. Seeds popped in 24 hours. Planted in soil at 36 hours. Broke through the soil and made a mad dashing stretch for light at 52 hours. Planted in ProMix HP. Plain old water. Holy stretch batman! Had to take the dome off my seedling tray. Found her pushing up against the plastic.

Week 2. These gals are vigorous growers! Had to support the stalk as the second set of true leaves developed. First watering was with B52, next one included all nutrients.

Good week. About an inch of vertical growth. Lots of growth in width. Up to four nodes now. No issues. Looking forward to topping when we hit six nodes.

Neighboring plants had a fungus gnat issue. Making sure to dry these babies thoroughly between waterings. Added a layer of diatomaceous earth after watering. No signs of the gnats. Plants are growing well.

Plants are growing well. Topped for the first mainline split today. Did a soak with neem oil yesterday as a preventative against the fungus gnats that invaded my clones.

Expected slowdown in growth after trimming. No signs of fungus gnats. Waiting for a few more nodes before the next mainline trim. Messed up on a clone attempt as my medium was too wet.

2nd mainline trim this week. Expected slow growth again after pruning, but plant seems healthy. Still no sign of fungus gnats. Instead of full prune for mainline stretched it out over a few days to ease the shock on the plant.

A burst of growth after our the plants recuperated from the mainline trimming. Now that they're growing again, lets add more stress! Repotted the plants into 5 gal fabric pots. Full root mass from the 1 gal pots. Moved them into the big tent. Now they're vegging under the 315w CMH.

Plants are enjoying the big tent. Added the 400 watt HPS this week. Three inches of growth. Up to 9 inches now. Will most likely switch to flowering at 12". Growth is always zero the day after watering, is this an issue or a common thing?

Humidity is too low outside to have the HPS running right now. The air exchanges required to keep the temperature down with the HPS running dropped the humidity to around 30-35%. The ladies weren't happy. Just running the CMH we're averaging around 60 percent humidity and the ladies are much happier. .

Great growth this week. Added the 400 watt HPS at the end of the week. That was an adventure, threw my humidity all out of wack. Ended up settling on a slightly higher temperature to keep the humidity where it should be. Pruned the bottom branches and lower suckers off the plants this week. It didn't slow down their growth at all. Will be switching to flowering once we hit 16" tall.

Super happy with the ladies this week. Have been toying with temperature to regulate humidity and it's paying dividends. Very happy, healthy, strong growing ladies. The branches are thick and strong! Hopefully we get buds to match them. Diary keeps reverting to 50 degree daytime temps, should be saying 76.

Growing mainline and wondering about trimming the new branches so bud growth is focused on main stalks. My last round I had one plant that I didn't trim at all-not a fun harvest. Other plants I kinda trimmed and went well. Should I get rid of them all? See last photo week 12.

Main lining means that you have all the buds at the same height to create an even cannopy so no side branches are allowed with that method. If you were applying a simple LsT I would have say something else.

Pruned all the side branches this week as per GD advice. Thanks all! The ladies stopped growing for a day then bounced right back. A few days later you could hardly tell they were pruned. Filled right in. These ladies have really strong branches, are bushy, and very happy looking.

It's the Muppet Show! The buds on this beauty have been reminding me of big floofy muppets since they started filling out. Just in the last few days they've started fading bringing a darker tone with deep purples in upper leaves and a glowing yellow moving up from the bottom.

These ladies have really come on strong this week. The buds are fattening up, and man are they dense! Looks like one plant will be ready a week or two ahead of the other. The colors are really getting nice. These plants are beautiful!

Looking for info on residuals in plants from fertilizers. Is there a difference between organic vs chemical based fertilizers. We make and consume a lot of edibles for medicinal purposes. Worried about long term effects. Not a lot of info about that on the web. Thanks!

Also: a chemical can be anything. Water for example is dihydrogen monoxide. It sounds awful but it’s just water with it’s chemical name. 👩‍🌾🏼

This my understanding of it... Both are good for plants... both can do the same job. Usually organic nutrients require a bit more added to the water than synthetically derived fertilizers because synthetically derived fertilizers are typically salt based and are more concentrated. Both are made from things you personally wouldn’t go out and consume on your own and are things you wouldn’t really want to smoke either. Think of it this way, producers/farmers everywhere use chemicals in their crops each and every day. Most of the crops we consume do not go through any kind of “flushing” period like we do marijuana and most are grown with synthetic fertilizers. There is a small niche market for organic products but the vast majority are not organically grown. In the marijuana industry, it seems most home growers grow with organic nutrients only wether from their own opinions or simple superstition. Plants convert the nutrients they uptake in the soil into the energy and sugars they need to survive. It does not remain the same. The chemicals you put in the soil/water should be different altogether in the plant since the plant breaks these chemicals down in their metabolic processes. This is why we can feed tomatoes mature water and the tomatoes still do not taste or smell like manure. Just like in vegetable farming, any kind of sprays should not be applied to the end crop. In this case our end crop is the bud and to prevent chemical buildup on the outside you should mitigate how much ends up on the outside of the plant once flowering begins. Feeding directly into soil-the plant should have little if any of the chemical fertilizers you use. If using organic, again, it will have little if any. Foliar feeding-as long as it is done before flower you should have very little residual amount left. I am currently experimenting with plants to see if flushing has any real effect on the end bud. I’m not convinced that flushing is truly needed as no other crops are “flushed” before consumed/smoked.

You can always do a water cure with the buds you'll use for edibles!

This plant is so incredibly beautiful. The colors are just amazing. The purples and blues and yellows.... I get mesmerized and end up just hanging out looking at these plants. The buds on the muppet plant have filled in and they're huge! Super excited as harvest is getting closer. Thinking we've got a couple of weeks left.

This plant was a dream to grow. My favorite plant to date. Thank you Dinafem! Nice and bushy during veg, turned into a stunning plant during late flowering. The colours were beautiful. Dark purples, blues, greens, yellows. Had a great fall this spring in my grow tent. After a month of curing the flavours started to settle. The Blue Widow will not disappoint. Crafted edibles prior to the cure, and they are the bomb. Working great for my wife's MS pain. It's become a regular part of her medicine cycle. Helps keep the cramping at bay so she can function like a human. Will definitely be growing this again. The edibles tend to knock me on my ass, but I'm a light-weight so don't take much stock in that .
