Day 64 D. 15 of 12/12 D. 1 Flower - pH 6.2 ec 1.59 temp 65F Calling today start of flowering, they have started to stretch up now. Wasn't able to change res tonight, will do tomorrow
Day 65 pH 6.3 ec 1.58 temp 66F flushed all plants with 1.3 ec nute water. Added calmag plus to my nutes regime. Complete reservoir change, no algae or slime in res 🙏👍🤘. New res pH 5.7 ec 1.8.
Day 66 pH 6.0 ec 1.76 temp 64.5F
Day 67 pH 6.3 ec 1.72 temp 65F, reset ph down to 5.8 (12ml of down).
Day 68 pH 6.0 ec 1.78 temp 64.5F added pvc frame to combat the tent walls from sucking in. Works great so far. Dont want to lose valuable grow space.
Day 69 pH 6.1 ec 1.78 temp 65F. Going to switch over to top feed system.
Day 70 pH 6.2 ec 1.70 temp 65.3F added DIY top feed drip system made from sprinkler and drip line parts. Adapted to my flood inlet on my table with a ³/⁴ to ¹/²"pvc reducing bushing, 1/2" sprinkler riser, and riser drip adapter. 1/4" drip line and I used barbed Ts to make my drip rings. Set now to feed at lights on and mid light run.
Been having issues with this strain showing white tips, nuet burn, at very low TDS levels (500-700) that is just perplexing us.
Had to take it down to 400 ppm to clear it up, of course that wont work as the plants would not get sufficient levels of micro nuets and deficiencies would start.
Don't see the issue here, any thoughts?
@Ga4rd2en0er,
If we decide to stay on coco, still have DWC to explore down the road, absolutely need to set it up although the actual watering is only a few minutes.
Mixing nuets takes longer honestly.
We have found the shortest path to keeping the time down on grows is healthy plants :D
@rhodes68, that's why I set the girls up on a timed feed. Way too many secure points to try and finesse a watering can in there daily or twice daily. I'll still manually flush from time to time. For a while I was watering with a squirt bottle similar to what boxers, football players use for water. It was just way to time consuming. I'd rather spend the time looking over the plants for pests or signs of def/excess vs watering for an hour. Even with automated watering, I still spend a lot of hands on time with the ladies.
I'm very happy with my lighting rig right now but thinking of adding a T5 UVB to the mix next go and run it a few hours a day mid day thru the whole cycle To simulate a "high noon"
@Ga4rd2en0er,
Being in coco and having to do this daily, watering with all the bend and secure stuff in the way just did not appeal to us.
Topped once, had plans to do it again but like I mentioned, plans went out the window when tent space became a problem.
So defoliation became the way to go.
This would have been so easy with all four in the same tent lol 😝
@Med_in_Tropic, I dont know if my nose is broken but #7 doesnt really have much scent to her nor does #5, #9 is starting to get her aroma now. Usually by this stage it stinks fantastically but it's pretty mild right now.
@rhodes68, I will be getting more detailed with my photos now as they are now in the flower room, before they were crammed in to a 24x16" tub. Should hopefully have them fully settled in over the next few days. Thanks for staying tuned 👍
@Drtomb, out of the 3 I've grown out so far, 5 is the most vigorous, 9 smells the best, my 7 may have just been bad luck runt and is very small. Should have started 7 over. I'm only a couple weeks along for 2 and 4. Check out silverback_guerilla, he has all fft running right now.
