Week five has me realizing my perfect little angel-girl is turning into a teenager with a pretty severe drinking problem. The stretch is on in full force and she is needing as much water as she can get as she progresses.
Nutrients this week were a mixed bag. I added more top dressing of the Dr. Earth Flower Girl and topped the pot off with more organic soil. I find the cloth pots really allow for the soil to settle and this is often needed. I watered these in well with a moderate solution of Alaskan fish emulsion, just as a quick source of nitrogen to accompany the stretch. I have found fish emulsion to be readily assimilated by the microbes in the soil and hence, ready fairly quickly to the roots.
Luckily, I think I am over the hump of fungus gnats. I watered sparingly at first, and now she is taking the water rapidly. I have yet to see one of those annoying little dudes.
Hopefully, she will start to concentrate more on her flowers this week, and less on getting taller. Time will tell. She is throwing single pistils more steadily as time goes on.
I’m starting to see why Spliff Seeds suggested topping right before flowering. I let her go one week before flipping and I am really starting to think I should have took their word verbatim. The two tops that have been sprouting from the cut are steadily getting taller. I am not really seeing any buttoning of buds forming yet. Hopefully this week will provide that. Her sister, a Spliff Seeds Jack F1, is staying much more compact and the height difference will be awkward when dealing with lighting if the don’t start to level off to the same height. I am not concerned yet though. I’m sure things will even out.

@Blueboy2019, Thank you for the compliments! It really is a nice strain. No drama, for me at least. I am all organic, and she really seems to enjoy her food. I can't speak to any other nutes. I wish you the best! Happy gardening!
