This is what I get 5 days after dropping seed in cup. Vulnerable time. If it manages to throw seed casing, it has a real chance. Probably shouldn’t post at this point because it’s at this time the bend of seedling seems to dry up and die. I’ve had 100% seed growth so far. My buddies all seem to lose half their seedlings at this time with stem death. Well keep your fingers crossed for me. I know mine are. Come back for next post to see if outcome is another NEWBIE related death.
Transplanted to 3 gal pot. Buried stem about 6” into soil. Only about 2 day slowdown from transplant. Now I think you’ll see good growth with each week. Wasn’t going to plant this grow but I had an auto G13 plant I started during bloom of last grow. Has been a 12/12 auto till 2 wks. ago. Didn’t do diary on her knew she’d be a runt. This room will be last grow for awhile I think? Have more then enough weed for myself and choice friends to last a little while. Think this GG might turnout to be a dense bush. We’ll see.
She’s doing great. Smaller then my other strain juvenile plant. That’s ok we love all our babies equally. Topped her just before photos. Did it early. I think she can handle it. Will top her at least once more. Started her on first ferts this past week. Will go easy on her till healed.
Growing healthy and happy. Kicked in to growing gear ,so I topped her. Little girl took it all in stride I’ve been very lucky with all my grow. Oooh no hope I didn’t give myself bad Juju. But really I’d like to say that it’s my knowledge or scientific expertise. But I don’t check any run off if I have any. I stick my finger in the side of the pot to feel if they need water. I’ve used the same ferts. On every grow. Made small adjustments to each plant as visually see necessary. I basically just balance the PH of all their fluids.Warm, fed and sunny, like I wish I was as I watch the snow fall. I do need a lot of work wiring when young, I have fingers like sausages. She grew ferociously early in week after her haircut. So of course I clipped her again. Bouncing back fine. I think I like the training course better the true mainline. Time will tell. Do same fert and water regiment as other plants. Except my auto. They are meager eaters and won’t tolerate over feeding. Wish me luck for my coming week. May need it. Controlling temp swings is my biggest issue for now. Amazing how outside temps have subtle influences on my closet temps. Thanks for looking in. Could sure use some likes but it doesn’t keep me up at night. Great growing all till next week.
Well she pulled through the week beautifully. I trimmed all the old foliage and the unwanted new branches. LST was done. Started early so was easily to canopy her. No ferts. just H2O and cal-Mag. Seem so tiny a this point. Probably should have went with 5gal pot. All in all a fine week.
Pretty uneventful week. Growing out from severe defoliation. I’m not presently running any air circulation ,other than Lighting fans. So I like to keep the foliage thin. Seems to love it. I cut the strength of ferts. Lights keep my closet at a temp of 75 degrees without fans. Basement to cold to run them and my small heater can’t handle it. Not complaining, plants look healthy. I find in small pots ferts must collect faster because I don’t always water to point of runoff. May not be right but the greenery seems to like it. Probably give a light trim later in week. Will also up cal-Mag a little. Have a little purple showing up on main trunk but I’m not sweating it could be from some of the stresses she’s endured. Looks damm healthy to me.
Well she really took off this week. I’ve been cutting a handful of leaves every few days. Seems it loves it. I’m up in the air whether I should lollipop the branches. Suggestions are welcome. May go 12/12 after end of this week. Till next week Happy Growing
Went 12/12 three days ago. Really starting her stretch. Been thinning plant almost daily. Did a two day flush before going flower. Look of plant same just taller. They look real happy and healthy, “ knock on wood “. Should show her girly parts any day now. Happy growing till next week.
Well I spit her wide open. Had to wire her together. Strong, never missed a step. Doing well defoliation done throughout almost on daily basis. Flowers are forming, hairs are raising , all good things. Been very simple grow. 🤞.

Grew well. Nice stretch. I think my splitting the main trunk effected my plant. Half my plant colas are growing faster. Liquid flow must not be equal. It’s ok plant is growing fine. She is certainly getting thisty. Giving nutes every third watering at 50/50. It may not be my most symmetrical plant but unreal healthy.Good growing
Uneventful week. She stretched some. Don’t think this plant is going to have big cones for colas. The distance between bud sites stretching. Still too early 🤞 what it lacks in aesthetics, it make up in plant health. Hopefully the buds willl start to fatten some. Till next week wish all good healthy grows
I’ll have to perfect my photo techniques. The photos really don’t show just how healthy this grow is progressing. I’m amazed that it’s growing at all with that gaping split in the main trunk. This plant has a lot of popcorn buds. It may full in with time but the last GG I grew was also lacking massive long colas I’ve seen on some of the GG auto post I’ve checked out.,Apples and oranges really. All good. I would say that the injury to the trunk slowed flowering compared to the WW+NL but different strains so who knows. Started using Fox Farm Big Bloom. Never used anything but GHE products but they seem to tolerate Big Bloom quite well. Wasn’t going to post this week, been nuts lately. No time. I’m writing this now at 4:30 am so I can get it in. Alls well and good growing. Thanks for looking in.
Mid flowering, what can I say. Not the most exciting part of the grow for me. I feed and care for her a in hopes she’ll fatten up. Lots of popcorn buds. My last GG grew same way. She’ll fill in but don’t expect some of those huge full colas found on some of those Auto GG’s out there. All good. With a gaping slice in the trunk it is a very healthy plant. Split might be influencing slow bud up some. Should take more care with photos but I always do photos in the whee hrs of morn. When I get up for a piss. Well to me it looks very healthy, if not a little scrawny. Hopefully she fattens up in next few weeks. Defoliation was done all week long. I know people are thinking. Shouldn’t defoliate so late in flower. I don’t follow that belief. May slow for a day or so but then I think motherly traits kick in a bloom harder. I could be wrong but I’m satisfied with results. Hopefully next week look in’s will notice a bud formation difference. Good growing and stay virus free🤞
From here on out it’s just a waiting game. Still giving cal-Mag and flower fuel. Most likely last week of any additives. The buds on this girl are not the fat forearm colas you get with some strains or at least I can’t grow them like that. Lol Still I’m satisfied how she grew. Very healthy especially with a big gash in her trunk. Think she’s got about two weeks to go?
Kinda messed up this week forgot to turn the bloom lights on all week. So it slowed bud production some. Ohh well shit happens. Was going to open branches up but they are so stiff I’m afraid I’ll break them. This is a good strain for those who have to fly under the radar. Not very smelly. Which it fine because my other strain smells enough for both. Stay tuned next week things might get exciting. Lol. Stay healthy all.
Man, I thought this would be a chop week. She’s not there yet. Seems to have come to a halt. I just plucked a shit load of tiny little leafs. Nice if natural die off kicked in but no go. At this point just gonna let pot dry out, which has been taking forever after her flushes. Won’t be getting vast quantities from this girl. Ahh you love’m anyway. They can’t all be swimsuit models. Remember I dropped her on her head when she was babe. Thank you all that are now reading this will have chop post next week then bud and harvest as due. Grow hard
Well this plant did better then expected. Thought injuries early in growth would have a greater effect on her then she ever shown. Plant took LST and topping well. This is a great strain for gorilla grows because it has very little odor. The taste to me is kind of neutral. Not too woody, not too sweet, not too peppery. To me it has very little taste. It’s effects are strong. This strain has varied THC content. From around 15 to 25. I’d have to guess this girl is maybe 20%. The plant produces loads of thumbnail sized nugs. I have a friend that never has a grow that doesn’t include GG. The buds though tight and dense are sticky and moist from resins. Is an excellent strain for the beginner. It holds up to stress and harsh treatment better then let’s say Chemdawg which let me know each wrong move. This strain grows fine indoors but outdoors it shines. At least that’s what I’ve noticed. Don’t grow outdoors so it’s based on others outdoor results. This is like the family station wagon. Not fancy, fast or showy but gets you there and back every time. Maybe I’m jaded by the fact that this is a NE US mainstay breed. Thanks to all that took the time to follow my grows. Growing herb is like being a painter that can’t show his paintings. This site gives us all a chance to show off our masterpiece to other painters without reprisals.
I would like to do an update it’s early August and my GG has been in mason jars for 3 months. This has cured into one of the finest smooth, head banging weed I’ve ever smoked. On two good tokes I’ve come close to blackout. Too bad I only have alittle left.
I think we should all feel lucky that the chosen few are dedicated enough to have put their scientific knowledge into creating some of the finest, highly resistant and easy to grow herb possible.
Yeah Thanks it’ll take more then a little blue light loss to throw this grow off. They could die tomorrow and I’d still be satisfied. Lol do wish this one would fill out but don’t think massive buds are in the genetics.

@raptor65, Have to laugh, my friends can’t understand why my plants come out good. Tell them it’s in the seed. They’ll spend forty bucks in ferts trying to get a mediocre plant from bag seed-but won’t spend fortybucks on quality seed for a room of gorgeous girls
I'm with you on the defoliation. Been too scared to give it a shot but hearing about yield increases intrigues my interest. Definitely doing heavy defoliation my next run. Good vibes pal✌️
@Huggomadd, well I know I felt that way. When first saw some of the incredible techniques on this site. It sent me to the internet and watched them being done. I was spooked I’d kill a healthy plant. Way easier then I first thought. Now I say go for it. Drop an extra bean just in case. If in doubt.
@Miss_Greenthumbs_Garden, not as full and fat as I’d like but that’s ok. Thin and healthy unlike most of the kids I see in the neighborhood. I’d Lol it but I find it sad.
@Miss_Greenthumbs_Garden, Thank you. I think this one has a few weeks yet. The split trunk slowed growth on one side. Made it into a beautiful cascading plant that I’d love to put in my bow window.

@JinksyGrows, Thanks. Did chop right after last post. Will give harvest report next week. GG is a mainstay in my area. Not great yield or huge buds but a lot of popcorn buds that cure dense tight and gooey.
The gg4 is definitely a late bloomer, it dousnt seem to put on much fat on the colas till the last 2-3 weeks it seems

The gg4 seeds I have are from gg4 I got from a grower I'd known for like near 20 years, it was just by chance one ended up in my tent last time, and damn was I glad that it did, was tallest plant, joint best yield but the best smoke by far, no seeds, almost didn't even need trimmed, just sick massive nugs with zero leaf on them I was able to just cut them off the stems and fire into jars with literally no scissor work on them, insane, pure silver with reisen
I tried to grow one at the start actually of this grow, but there was somrthing up with the plant and I had to bin it after a week or 2, but I had gorilla zkittlez in the tent and ended up popping a late amnesia haze to replace its loss
But I think I'll prolly always try to have a gorilla glue in the tent each grow 😎
@I_and_I, now that I think about it. This may be my first real GG. My first was a bag seed given to me from a friend. He was given them from guy at work. Who said it was GG. Could have been anything. Didn’t grow anything like same bag seed buddy grew. Lol. Who the fuck knows.🤪 it’s why I took that post down.
