Starting a fresh diary grow for 2020. I have two Sugar Mama autos and a seed from Rhino Seeds UK that was a freebie that had no information regards what it was. Numerous attempts at calling Rhino Seeds and emails means I am just growing it to see what happens as they never bothered contacting me. Never buying seeds from them again no customer care service after sales. Well they will if they germinate grow in a 80 x 80 x 160 cm tent with a Mars hydro light LED 250w. This grow will be a Dutch Pro grow for a change as I usually grow with Cana but kind friends donated 5l of A and B grow to me so best use it for a diary I thought. I also have a tent in veg with 8 Blue Cheese Photos on Dutch Pro so an ideal time to start a diary. If anyone knows anything about the "Blue Pot Tar" seed please let me know as I can't find anything out about it. Many thanks. As you see just 24 -36 hrs in water then onto a wet paper towel till the tap root appears. Fingers crossed time. Day 3 - 4 Germinated two sugar mama's as yet nothing from "Blue Pot Tar" give it another two days then will put into 10l pots till harvest which seems a long way off now, but 13 - 14 weeks isn't long really. Day 4 as you see from the photos all have sprouted tap roots. Day 5 potted up on the 1st January 2020, so thats the start for me, my Happy 2020 first grow of the year. Will be just water for the first week with 1% Rootit and now 0n an 18 -6 light schedule so will not harm the "Blue Pop Tart" seed if its a photoperiod and could go into my other tent if needs be. Day 6 Blue Pop Tart has broken through. Just waiting on the other two now. Day 7 All three ladies have popped out. Overall this has been a great week. Seeds germinated quickly and have taken root in their seedling pots. I think two weeks to start to establish their roots and then onto 10l pots.👍

Week 2. Happy all seems well and all three ladies made it to week 2😊 just watering with 1% TakeRoot and 1% CalMag. The PH does range from 6.5 - 5.8 and is done round the outer edge of the seedling pots to encourage roots to search for water. Usually I transplant out about week three to the larger 10l pots. I haven't as yet encountered any problems doing this with autos, but only being growing just over a year now so there is time!!!! Peeps do tend to suggest autos be grown in their final destination pots from seedling. Monday 6th January. Little dry watered sparingly, but I would prefer it that way than drowning them and causing root problems at an early stage. Wednesday 8th January. Tidy up the tent and placed some Stardawgz cuttings in for company. Hopefully harvest at the same time. very little water

Week 4 Friday 17th January 2020. All looks good. Plants healthy and green showing no signs of any stress wish real life was like that😂I am not concerned about anything and have in the tent now just the Blue Pot Tar answers on a postcode about what that is but I'm keeping it with the sugar mamas as we are on 18/6 lighting and if it was photoperiod it will stay in veg. As the sugar mamas grow I will keep an eye on it and if I think it is a photo will move into my other tent which has photoperiods in at the moment. I also have a stardawg photo cutting in the tent to gauge growth so when that is where I want it it too will be moved to the other tent. Nutrients will be kept at the same level and as we move further into the week will add Buddy at 1% as I think we are in the last two weeks of veg before moving to pre flower. The Buddy will be to give it a little boost then.

Week 5 All steady this week. Very light watering done and a wee bit of a shuffle round as you see. Due to my other ladies I have had to move a Sugar Mama into my photoperiod grow which means for pre flower and bloom she will only be on a 12/12 cycle. Let's see what the difference in yield will be. Im thinking that we have just moved into the preflower stage as the ladies are getting a bit fatter and therefore I have now got Buddy in at 1%. I am away this week to the Canaries for a week of winter sun so hope my friend does not kill the ladies off😱 There will be one last full watering today 25th January and another hopefully on Wednesday and my return next Sunday. Fingers crossed no major incident in the week😂

Week 7 Friday 7th Feb start of second week of flower. Ladies have stretched a wee bit which is looking good so hopefully now to start to bulk up ready for the big chop. I am thinking end of March and thats with a two week flush but only time will tell as I gauge my harvest by the plants not the breeders times. The two sugar mamas in the different tents show a great difference in growth so this grow has shown that autos do better on 18/6light schedules how much better we will find out at harvest. No change to feeding this week as no stress signs apparent. Tuesday 11th Feb Middle of the week I do believe the photo tent lady is starting to grow bigger lol. I must admit that I am surprised at how different the two ladies are growing due to the only difference of light the watering is exactly the same. Think I'm going to be very busy in a couple of weeks time as I suspect my photo tent will harvest at the same time as my Veg tent ladies. looking at the development I think it will be a change in nutrients for week 8 as I will push for two weeks with ripen and hopefully then flush for two weeks. Thursday 13th end of the week. Been one of those non eventful weeks ladies get watered and feed grow some and I just watch. Hoping for big bud growth and to fatten up now. Don't think there is anything I can do better so onwards and upwards.👍

Week 8 Feb 14. Starting to add Ripen with Buddy at a low 1% so as just to introduce the ladies to the nectar that will fatten the buds up lol. Hope we now start to see the buds developing into big colas........ohh how we wish. Think everything will be okay as yet and still tentatively predicting that at week 10, I will start the two week flush. Smell is normal to me meaning Thank God for carbon filters😂 Cant say what the bouquet is like as you can see from my grows I have a multitude of strains all growing happily together. Think the next two weeks will be just watching and watering. Feb 17. Looks like the lady in the photo tent has decided to stretch and join the party and is looking good and I would say about two weeks in development behind the veg tent ladies. Deffo going to have a staggered harvest which I prefer and hopefully with the different photoperiods I have which will be ready around the same time. A different smoke for each day of the week 😂😂😂

Week 9 Feb 21st start of week nine. Its that wait now to fatten up and develop trichomes time the boring leg of the grow journey. Buddy and Ripen both at 2% for first watering today then ripen at 5%, hope the buds fire into action now. Even the photo tent lady has shocked me as she has put some growth in, in the last seven days and is looking big and strong. Think she will be pushed next week with ripen and buddy. Sunday 23rd Don't think the lady in the photo tent is stretching now all done and now two weeks to fatten her up before flushing. That could change and an extra week of fattening added as it depends on her typical lady!!!!!😂 Veg tent lady is pushing out the brown pistils now so guessing another week before flushing.

Week 10 Friday 28th Feb Starting the week feeling everything is going well in the veg tent one last week of pushing the buds to fatten with Ripen now at 6%. Then it ill be a flush so hope to harvest in about 14 days. Photo tent lady is also doing well I think and to me has good node spacing for getting ready to fatten up. I think she's about two weeks behind so this week and next will be just Ripen and Buddy for her.The photoperiods in the tent are starting a two week flush now so she will be lonely soon😂 Not to worry I have already put in a Blue Cheese clone just to fill the space and will be cutting four Stardawg clones from the veg tent this week that should fill the tent again when everything is harvested. Sunday 1st March. Veg tent ladies just a feeding of Ripen and Buddy to try to get her to bulk up more. I do like the structure of the bud which is small and tight on the Sugar Mama whilst that strange one "Blue Pot Tar" the buds are larger but not as dense. Is that the difference between an Indica and Sativa strain I don't know but I look forward to finding our in a few weeks time. Wednesday 4th March. Veg tent last feed with nutrients before the flush starts on Friday. Think Ive just hit it right for once as there are amber trichomes just showing. Hope the magnified shots show this.My aim is for about 5% plus amber and the rest will then be milky cloudy. Well one does hope😬

Week 11 Friday 6th March. Start of the flush now so its a case of when I think they are ready. Usually between 7 and 10 days time normally. The veg tent has had a move around with four clones being cut from a mother blue cheese and that placed into the photo tent till her harvest in about 12 weeks. The lady in the photo tent is still some way behind and looks now to be about a month possibly till harvest. This I'm happy with as I prefer staggered grows that way I have a constant supply and self sufficient in the bud😍 The clones are the first I have ever cut so will be interesting to see for myself if my green fingers do work😂 I think that will be my next diary after this completes showing a mother plant and taking cuttings which I hope will help fellow beginner growers like me. Don't think there will be much to report until I chop so its PH'd water only now for the ladies 👌 Wednesday 11th March. Still firing out pistils and bulking up still. Hardly any leaf discolouration so still feeding on what is in the soil. Due to this I am going to carry on with the flush and I have not reached my goal of 5% amber trichomes yet. As you might see the veg tent has had a turn round again with all the photoperiod clones that had been in veg mode are now in my photo well flowering tent now. I have had to move the sugar mama due to this and she is quite a bit taller that is due to her having to stretch for the light as the photoperiods she was in with were busy they are Blue Cheese.I still think she is a month behind the Blue Pot Tar and other sugar mama so as they say onwards and upwards👍

Week 12 Friday 13th March. Still going to flush for the rest of the week and will no doubt be chopping her on the 20th. Tuesday 17th March. Still flushing and they are still fattening up with new pistils so while the ladies are doing this I'm happy to still go on with PH'd water past the 20th my original chop day.

Week 13 Friday 20th March. Decided to let the ladies run a few more days. The leaves are now showing signs of nutrient deficiency and its just my intention just to get a few more amber trichomes as I do think some peeps will say they are good to harvest now. Monday March 23rd. Blue Pot Tar is today being chopped. She's a good shape and has a nice cola with good side branches that have some good bud growth on them. Thats Blue Pot Tar taken care of now just the two Sugar Mama's to chop now will do that over the next few days. Tuesday 24th March. Chopped the Sugar Mama that was on the 12/12 schedule. Very frosty and a good 90% milky. Very resinous when trimming and now hung to dry. Not expecting much off her due to her tough upbringing but what I get looks to be nice. Very dense buds but the nodes were to far apart due to the long stretch she had. The next lady to be cut down is a lot bigger and has brown trichomes on which I'm looking at about 5% then she will be harvested. I think the next two days if I'm honest.

Week 14 Friday 27th March. Today it was trimming up the Blue Pot Tar for curing. She gave me 29g an ounce. That was with no training and left to grow some I'm happy with that. The buds are still sticky and smelly flakey and not a dense one. Give it a week of curing and I will let you know how she smokes. I'm letting the Sugar Mama run a few more days as I'm greedy and want more amber trichomes on her before she gets the chop. Saturday 28th March. She's getting close to be harvested as soon as more of the leaves have faded. Looking forward to seeing what she's like and how much dry weight I get. Wednesday 1st April. Its that time she has been chopped and hung to dry. Very happy with here and the growth. I am now an 18/6 auto grower before I only did them on 12/12. The buds are well dense super sticky and smelly so hoping for a good smoke off her in two weeks time.

All done here and now curing for a couple of weeks. The first harvest was okay to smoke slowly creeps up on you but not a heavy hit more a comfort blanket than a couch lock😂 Thinks this was due to cutting her down with little amber trichomes. The second harvest she was at 5 - 8% amber so hope thats the real couch lock one. Very easy to grow and needs very little attention will do better with more care and ideal for LST and branch bending.
