Day 21 from seed. Solid growth after a slow start due to a little leaf damage/malformation which happened during embryogenesis. Gradually lowering my main flowering light which is currently at 30" whilst watching for any signs of light shock (heat will not be an issue).

Day 34 from seed. Pre-flowering in full swing with budlets expected within next 7 days. This poor unfortunate plant had some damage in embrogenesis which left her with malformed leaves and very slow growth She has shot up a bit but is still the runt of the litter with a very compact and squat form. Growth has been improving but I do not hold out any high hopes for her.

Day 38 from seed. After a very slow start, she is now starting to pick up a little. Still a little on the small side but starting to stretch, she may just be on internal clock that is 2-3 weeks slower than the other autos as her flower development is very embryonic. VPD is circa 10 - 11 which is just a smidge low for ideal flower but pretty decent for my basic budget tech.

Day 46 from seed. This would be an outstanding plant if only it was 24" taller! Very dense/strong side/internal branching, vigorous growth - just incredibly compact. I have defoliated very lightly and staked some of the side branches to spread them out and allow for better light penetration into the canopy. I am expecting a perfect little 'Bonsai Bud Tree'

Day 52 from seed. Have staked and adjusted to spread stems and get some light penetration. Normally I do not defoliate, but I have had to a little on SALH because it has such a dense leaf/bud ratio Won't be a high yield for this pheno but the buds should be nice and dense

Day 59 from seed. She is still another three, possibly four weeks from harvest. This pheno has a very high leaf to bud ratio which requires far more agresssive thinning than I have carried out. I generally avoid defoliation but with this pheno it is necessary. Main cola is already thicker than my forearm, however, I think this pheno leans a bit more towards her ruderalis heritage and is quite small in height and generaly very compact. Good strong lemon smell.

Week 12. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

This particular pheno was short in stature but very dense. Good sour lemon smell but due to the leaf density, this strain will absolutley require a cure before sampling as her chloryfil levels are very high. Better than expected harvest of 71g of medium and large bud with a further 13g of high quality trim and larf for the hash bag. Despite her short stature, she developed very large and dense buds with very little larf , although she did require opening up with stakes to get better light and air penetration. I will post a 'cure and smoke' update in a few weeks.

Ladies looking great man! Your plants stayed green till the end. That shows that the base feed does what it needs to do;) You pulled off some greatly stacked girls. How do you like LED vs HPS?

@Dutchpro_Nutrients_USA_Official, All Mix - some find it a bit 'hot' but I have not had any issues as long as you feed gently during first 8 weeks. Ideally I would prefer an organic super soil, but I supplement All mix with careful supplements to create a 'pseudo super soil' which is the best I can do until I have more space (tip: do not mix super soil in the house if you want to stay married!) Labelling is very important otherwise, growers can easily create toxicities and lock outs by layering products of a similar nature without being aware.

@Interalia666, It is actually our Multi Total that has the humic and fulvic acids in them. We haven't done a great job advertising the Multi Total well, but that is all going to change with the new labels that we will introduce end of may, beginning of June. I can't wait for you guys to see those. Multi Total is indeed a product that won't show results right away, but it actually helps with nutrient uptake and nutrient transport due to those acids. It is quite a wonderful product, that makes your other products perform better. We will also come out with a product that people have been asking us for a long time now. We still completely believe in our 3 products system, but we have noticed that people like to experiment and introduce advanced growing techniques that sometimes require an additional product that we couldn't have put in our current bottles due to mineral reactions. It is amazing to see how much more professional the industry gets. What type of substrate do you use? Light mix or all mix?

@Dutchpro_Nutrients_USA_Official, Like that mate, More roots/more fruits 😉 £300 is a steal for the quality of the light. Two years ago, I would have been paying several thousand pounds for the same light. Would love to try mixed lights including CMH but that will have to await my new grow space (work in progress 😀). I do supplement with near and far red lighting for the Emerson Effect but that is all LED's and not mixed lighting as you refer. Multi Total is in my kit bag too, though I did not detail it in the above. I used it sparingly (every two weeks or so) and had no issues at all. This is not the sort of supplement that you get 'visible results' from; more the case that if you are having no micro-nutrient deficiencies, then it is doing its job. Strong but silent type 😀. If you are open for requests 😀, would be nice to see DutchPro line of fulvic and humic acid (though Explode probably has plenty of the former?)

Ladies looking great. Happy and healthy. Grew this strain once before and loved it. In for a treat. Nice work. Keep doing what you've been doing and best of luck with the rest of the ride growmie.

I'm growing this now, a few weeks behind you. Hardly any height, just a dense bush with massive leaves. Never had to defoliate before and advice for autos is very mixed. How many do you take off at a time? And have you done it throughout veg and flower? Cheers

@Interalia666, Thanks for the reply. I've just had a look and found moisture trapped between overlapping leaves so clearly in need of thinning out. The plant is growing really well and seems very healthy. At first I was concerned there had been a mix up with my seed because my leaves were all so wide and looked nothing like your early pics, but the newer growth is much narrower. LST has been a pain because of the height and lack of space between nodes - My plan of making a cool spiral quickly went out of the window, but over the last week it seems to have grown/stretched a bit (currently about 20-25cm high and 40+cm diameter). Just noticed the first couple of pistils this morning. This is only my second grow and I'm wilfully trying not to get too involved with nutes, tds's and all the science - I tend to get a bit obsessed. She's in a huge fabric pot of compost, verm and manure - as long as there's no sign of deficiency I'm hoping to get by with that. I have checked PH on runoff and that's good thankfully. Looking forward to that lemon smell and will be following your grow eagerly. (I only found this site by searching the web for a comparison grow image) Cheers again for taking the time for such a thorough reply - really appreciate it

@MrMDM, Sounds like this (short, compact and leafy) is the dominant characteristics of this Cultivar. -Thought it may just be just this pheno, but you confirm a similar experience. Like you, I generally do not defoliate unless humidity issues absolutely require it. That is simply not an option for this cultivar which has a very high leaf/bud ratio combined with a short stature. If you have to defoliate, then I have my own 'rules of thumb' which may be correct or then again may just be bullshit bro-science 😉. 1. Always defoliate when the plant is healthy and full of vigour. 2. For this particular plant, defoliate throughout lifetime of plant (veg and flower) - this is an autoflower so you do not have much time generally to spread out the defoliation (for photos - different approach applies) 3. Take a few leaves off (about half a handful) each time rather than carrying out a massive defoliation just once. 4. I personally use Alg-a-Mic (or a good kelp product) with each feed after defoliation as a general 'pick me up tonic' which has always worked well for me. Aim to take 'just enough' off the plant overall - looking at the lower and central leaves first of all. She does not need to be stripped or swazzled Despite the small stature of this plant, it does have thick dense flowers and a great lemon smell and whilst harvest will not produce a heavy yield, based on the smell, I am hoping the taste/quality will be good. Depending on your particular pheno, I would also recommend using stakes or LST to spread the branches out. My pheno, had all its branches trying to run up the main stem which was becoming so dense that it was a mould/mildew problem waiting to happen. I spread my branches out to open her up to better light penertation and better airflow. Breeder info states 65 days from seed to harvest but my pheno will run at least two weeks longer. Will be updating again this weekend and will try and get better close up shots for you. Best of luck fellow growbuddy 👍
