Day 0: Soaked seeds for the next run in URB for 25min then dropped them in Happy Frog soil watered with URB and Mollasses for Plants. Placed them in my shelf 45W T5 setup and they should pop within 3 days!
Day 5: we have liftoff!
Day 15: I moved her from the shelf t5 fluorescent setup to my temporary closet setup with the Platinum LED p150 87w light. It’s not very warm at 70 degrees. I might have to use my space heater. She’s looking good so far!
Day 17: transplanted into 1gal fabric pots with Happy Frog soil. I hit them with 30ml URB and 10ml MFP. I also turned on the second P150.
Day 22: she is really loving the 1gal pot! Nice steady growth now. I expect 11-14 days in the 1gal before they are ready for 7gal pots. I may have started this run too early. Ooops lol
Day 27: topped the 5th node to prepare for the scrog.
Day 29: got her moved into a tent with slightly more veg light. She’s growing great and responded well to the topping. These Barney’s Farm strains are fantastic plants!
Day 36: transplanted to 7gal fabric pots on day 35 and watered with early veg nutes. I used Great White root powder when I transplanted into Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil. I watered the soil with 30ml URB and 10ml molasses for plants before transplanting. She is really growing fast now!
Day 49: I did some LST last week and had to adjust the twist ties to keep an even canopy. I think I took too much off when I topped th two side branches on this one. Oh well, lesson learned. She will still provide plenty of bud in the end.
Day 58: still using tie downs to spread the canopy a bit more. I’ll likely veg for 10 full weeks. I will lower the screen and remove the plant ties this weekend and let her grow up a bit.
Day 64: removed the LST tie downs and got the screen in place end of last week and switched to large veg nutes this week. I discovered I was running 16/8 instead of 18/6 the last two weeks, so I fixed the timer and they should enjoy the extra two hours of light these last couple of veg weeks!
Day 70: last day of veg! Flipping to 12/12 tonight!
Day 77: finished the first week of flower with a nice stretch going on. She is finally starting to stretch and fill out a bit. Smaller than I’d like, but I think part of it is from how I did my second topping on this plant. Oh well, she will still be delicious!!
Day 84: wow what a stretch! She’s really cranked out some growth this week! I’m i for some nice colas, I’d say! Another week of stretch left and I’ll be defoliating before the end of the week.
Day 106: Smelling incredible now! Super green leaves and lots of trichome-packed buds filling in the colas. HUGE buds this run. I don't really know the cause of the giant buds, if it's purely genetics, the MammothP, or everything I'm doing, but this plant is healthy!!! 4-5 more weeks to go!
Overall, high quality smoke for sure! I had a much smaller yield with this plant due to an error when I topped in veg. I took too much growth and should have only have snipped the tips and I'd have had several more buds and a higher yield. I also wasn't able to control the scrog like usual due to a couple of branches that shot for the sky and were too stiff to bend without breaking and it was too late to supercrop. Smaller buds, but they were CAKED in sticky trichomes. My next butter batch is going to be incredible form this trim!
Good Luck with the @barneysfarm grow Bro!! I have to say I had a lot of strains from their seed company as they are very relaible. I had both autos and photoperiods, my personal favorite is Acapulco Gold, but I have to say the flavour and smell of the pineapple Chunk is amazing!! Hope it goes good for you too.👍
@GanjaFarmerGrow, Thanks! I agree completely about their strains and I really like their Acapulco Gold, as well! Barneys Farm liked my AG grow so much, they included some of my photos on their Acapulco Gold page of their website!
@mrchicks, thanks! I've tried several germination methods from paper towels to jiffy pellets and I've come to the conclusion that placing seeds right into soil from the start is the best bet. At least from my experience. The low-watt T5 is great for seedlings and clones until they are big enough to handle LEDs in my closet until the tent is ready for them.
