Hello super excited to get back up and going again.. Had a nice little Christmas break there, I missed having a garden to look after. For the first week they are only getting water with the uc and voodoo juice to help root growth. The lights are at higher then normal level, Don't wanna burn the babies. The scrog frames are not as super pro as I'd like them to be but they will work and function for a few grows at least.. I will probably square them up and make them look nicer in the future. The scrog frames are approximately 4 inches above the plants and the net is tight.... We want the plant to grow into and with the netting. there will be topping.... The Purple Star Killer seed had some trouble with breaking open and I ended up very gently taken the seed casing off, stunted it's growth and it's just a tiny little bugger. I'm seeing growth and I'm gonna try using Advanced Nutrients Revive product on it too see if it gives it a kick up. The other Six are chugging along and the Blue Cookies and Gorilla Glue X Zkittlez seem to be doing the best. With the exception of the stunted star killer I'm very pleased with how things are progressing.

So the seed casing of the purple star killer did not open without some help about 6-7 days after initial germ. Iv'e had some catch and seen some struggle but nothing like it did.... Would you guys guess that it's gonna be a poor grower? Would manually opening it earlier help?

Hi. The structure of the seedshells changed. Some strains are very well known to have hard shell like Jack Herer, those plants like to chop of their own head with thse strong shells. But if they are out of shell they normally behave like other seeds. I( dont know how you germinate the Seeds , but here are some Tips to handle hard seedshells. a) put some seeds in a small plasticbox and shake them very well for around a minute. So litle cracks appear in the shell and it opens easier b) let them soak into lukewarm water up to 24 hours......... after that procedures a shell opens much better

My germination method generally is just wet paper towel under a bowl. I will try that for next time thank you..... The little purple star killer, well it's still just barely growing. The Leaves are at massive span of about 1-1.5 inches just a beast of plant really LOL. The little guy had a mold spot my first one really, I'm usually right on top of the airflow but this time I had fans on but I guess not enough... My humidity was properly a bit too high with the lack of airflow.. So I upped the airflow and left the humidity as is... I took her off a hydro set up.. She is just soo far behind But I'm not giving up on this little star killer I'm just gonna nurse it along in dirt until my next batch. I VERY gently removed the little pc of mold about 3mm after very gently transplanting the whole plant into dirt. When I moved it I expected more root structure but even the roots are just a sad little bunch.. So other then that.... The other 6 ladies Wow.. Just thriving and pushing out leaves like the dickens really. The 6 others are doing so well and look so pretty the little guy just doesn't belong in the tent with them :. The Ultra Violet Og is the slowest grower so far but it's still looking really nice. This is where it's like amazing in a way I had to check the calendar ha ha is this right? Can it have only been 2 weeks. They start so tiny and pathetic and grow soo fast. Yay Mother Nature's Awesome! Definitely noticing a difference in running the lights 24 hrs.. I will be switching too a 21 and 3 soon just to lower the temps and give them a slight break. In the last week of veg gonna try like a 3-4 days of 6 hours off then 3-4 days of 8 hours off followed by a full 24-36 off period. This time around I find myself really thinking about what's in the other supplements nutrients and really reading the labels on everything.. I added nutrients for this week and went with like a 1/5 ratio on all plants and they seemed to like it. Looking like it's gonna be the best batch so far :).

Well this week in the grow world... I germinated 3 seeds I got from buds I grew and germinated those bad boys up. I was pleased to see all 3 seeds germinate, FREE SEEDS and I know it's good bud :). The six are doing just fantastic the slow grower seems to be the Ultra Violet OG, From what I recall the strain info did indicate it wasn't a fast grower or a big yielder.. But in theory it'll look really pretty. The leaves they speak to me and they said hey dude move the static fans, slight signs of wind looking leaves so I just moved the fan around. Also the "first" singular leaves are starting to "die" off which is right about what you'd expect as the plants put more energy into growing the upper leaves. Seeing lots of growth nodes and all 5 plants have been topped except the ultra violet og. I like to top right about that 2-3 week spot when the leaves are fairly far along. If a plant is behind or sickly looking at all I will not top it. The added stress just isn't worth it and I find the slow growers sometimes tend to just do the best if there left to grow. I found when I was new at this sometime I would panic and be like ohh no the nutrient solution isn't strong enough or is too strong.. I'd research leaf symptoms and problems. And come up with some conclusion that seemed to make sense at the time but in hindsight was probably not correct. Now I find myself just taking a more wait and see approach. The little fucking purple star killer is still just a little guy. I have cared for it and been gentle with it but it's like nah I suck at growing so I'm just not going too. Three weeks in and it still looks like a sprout... Ohh purple star killer what happened to you in order for you to be such a disappointment? Was your mother mean to you? Did she not give you enough of what you need? Only the Purple star killer knows it's horrid past. I gave you my love purple star killer and you filled me with disappointment. You didn't even get to become a teenager before your broken bad seed nature was exposed. I will continue to nurture and grow you purple star killer not because I believe in you, you suck. But because I am curious to see what you will turn into. Most likely you will turn into a sad little bleak disappointment. Hell you might even die young, an abomination of nature who was indeed never really meant to survive. But alas my little purple star killer. Perhaps you will find your wings and fly into super grow mode. 3 weeks in and it's looking like it's just gonna die off... Iv'e have seeds not germinate but never had a plant that just refused to grow... strongly leaning towards giving it away.. I love the scrog for many reasons but the big one right now is I can actually see it grow.. Without points of reference you don't actually see that they grow soo FAST. I fixed the scrog sort of I just put a ye ole stick in the middle section to help with the bowing from the tighening of the strings. looks a lot straigher now. I'm also seeing a lot of roots coming down from the containers into the reservoirs and a lot of healthy looking root structure.. This is a fantastic sign HEALTHY ROOTS HEALTHY PLANTS. I can say that the voodoo juice does indeed seem to work, it's hard to make a definitive conclusion without side by side same strain comparisons but even then you never know.. Iv'e read about the benefits of what's inside the voodoo juice and it does indeed seem to work. The "new" Led Light in the small tent is really impressing me as well. It seems to do just as well as the 2000W as far as overall growth and vigor. Generally Speaking I am still at the phase of keeping one switch off most off the time. I get temps of about 30c with both switches on and with only 3 hours off I'd rather have it be a bit cooler.

The UC roots is a great product but alas I for some reason used a formula that made the water too acidic.. See lots of little minor symptoms across a few strains.. Which is actually kind of helpful but also a little bit deceptive as the symptoms due not look the same.. The tangie showed the Calcium deficiency the most, had curling new leaves... I know I'm running CAL-MAG at a descent level so my thoughts were leaning towards a deficiency elsewhere but thinking overall that the majority of first ph tests were 4.5-5 before adjustments I'm strongly leaning towards just a bit too much UC roots. I used 3 ml a gallon for first 3 weeks with a slight high ph in the reservoir.. My brain went too 5 ml a gallon which is too high and the reservoirs too acidic and Calcium is best absorbed around 6.2. I've decided to flush and dump a couple days early.. They are bouncing back nicely now. The purple star killer is finally growing! yay what a weird little plant it is... it's on it's fourth node and finally growing healthy looking leaves I took a few nice pictures of the little guy. It will definitely be pulled out of the tent for the flower it's too small.

The Small Tent was put into flower and the big tent was kept in veg. I will be keeping the large tent in veg again as everything seems to be progressing nicely.. The overall shape of the canopy in the small tent is awesome and the big tent scrog is good but needs some minor tweaks. I'm very pleased with how the plants are bushing out and it's looking like it's gonna be another great harvest. I think in hindsight a Height Adjustable screen gives a bit more room to work with . I definitely would like to increase the height of my Large Scrog. I really like the way the plants are growing with the scrog it seems to really help bush them out. I seem to be getting the nutrients and PH dialed in now but there seemed to be something going on with the Ultra Violet OG. I flushed and dumped a bit early and changed the nutrient levels. I'm fairly confident she'll bounce back. I have light amounts of trimming to keep those smaller nodes exposed and now with how big they are getting rather then Breaking or hurting them by "tucking" them under the net, I'm just tying to the net. One more week of VEG for Big Tent. Done First week of FLO in the small tent. Nutrient Levels Are for VEG only... Happy Growing thanks for taking the time to read.

Gave the babies away to another grower... Everything is coming along nicely.. The ultra violet og seems a big finicky but it's growing and coming along. Overall very pleased with the way things are progressing. Added a nice little timeline of the Gorilla Glue X Zkittlez Growing.. It really shows what hydro is capable of.. There is also a pic in there of what low ph situation looks like in a plant, you can figure out which one is the bad week I'm sure :). Also when that week happened all the plants had a bit too low of a ph.. And all them reacted Differently to it.. The Do Si Dos didn't care, it's like yea I'm gonna keep growing. The gorilla did what it did... The ultra Violet OG presented more with like patches or rough spots on the leaves.. Just goes to show me that PH can be very hard to diagnose because it presents in a number of different ways..

I feel like height is an unfair measurement of progress :)… Looking great, Finally got the Ultra Violet dialed in and seems to be just purring along like the rest.. umm again could use a trim.. This has been a battle lol. trying to balance them nodes and make it all level.. There is so much new growth it's really hard to keep track on a day to day thing. Again as I'm using the scrog, I'm like okay Iv'e to change it for next time..

They are all Thirsty ladies.. They are drinking about 3 litres of water every 2 days. It's remarkable how much water these plants can actually take in. Plants are all healthy, might be slight low on nitro for one but we got the nutrient change coming tomorrow so that should clear up pretty quickly. everything looks great. My poor cactus tho, he is getting crowded in on. I guess I'm gonna have to rip out a Cannabis plant to make room for the Cactus. The cactus has just as much right to live after all, maybe even more it's older. No cannabis plants will be harmed yet ;) and the cactus will be moved and saved to live another day. Special Limited Edition Sexy Diary I would like to thank @VanCplGrows for the artistic inspiration. I did indeed have a certain change of heart. But alas I'm stuck as a compassionate professionally minded person. This is my compromise my attempt to show what I feel is appropriate license of sexual themes to promote my art. This is not a shot at @VanCplGrows if anything this is more of a imitation is flattery type thing. I am acknowledging this was not my idea. I might get a lot of people who don't like it and that's okay right? I think it's impossible to please everyone!. But in the interest of trying to be as for “everyone” as possible. I have kept my nipples covered and resisted the urge to pose more erotically. I mean when you look this good it's hard not to flaunt it. I tried very hard to convince my old lady to be in the bikini. She finally said “not a chance in hell but I'll take the pictures”. I wanted the Cannabis plant to be the main focus and the Human form would just be a subject within the subject matter. I wanted to blend human and garden. My thoughts were to use my skinny frame and pale skin. As a direct contrast for the bright green skinned leaves and large size of the cannabis plants. I think my frame actually really lends to just how beautiful and healthy my plants really are. Where does the person begin? where does the garden end? Thanks and I hope you enjoy the view :)

Yay no pictures of a half naked guy.😁 A lot of work went into making the canopy the shape it is... The stretch on the Ultra Violet OG is crazy it just took off. The Blue Cookies and Zkittlez X GG are very nice smooth “even growers”. But again I can't take all the credit.. The ladies have been absolutely fantastic and just growing with vigor. Theyv'e made it very easy on me this time around. So I've decided for this harvest not to flush my plants with just phd water... I'm gonna flush my plants with about 1/2 Of regular PK with Bud candy as well. WHAT?!?! you say sacrilege why would you do such a thing? “Your gonna ruin your buds bro!”.. I flushed @ various intervals and periods during my last grow. I noticed ZERO difference , The only difference I noticed was when the plant in question was displaying symptoms of too much nutrients ie. Nitrogen Toxicity. And it's actually crazy how many websites say you “have to flush”. So why am I not flushing? Because I'm thinking of the principles of how energy is broken down. The plant is actually using a lot of it's minerals and nutrients to make flowers, everyone is agreed on this basically. So what happens if I'm pumping up my muscles and I don't have any protein or carbs coming? Well my body starts to eat the muscles and fat tissues. I'm thinking the Cannabis plant is actually gonna do the same thing, It's not like the plant is like oh nothing but fresh water time to bring the soap out.. it's not cleaning itself it's Eating itself. There is also a study floating around out there by RX technologies with 1000 blind taste testers who actually preferred flower that wasn't flushed. It is basically a fact that people will rule in their favour when given the opportunity to weigh in on something that is “Subjective”. Especially if they had a hand in it and consider their contributions to be positive. People want the flushing to make a difference so they're brains convince them it does. That's kind of another can of worms. But they have done numerous studies and research on peoples “ego” look it up. That little voice inside your head is an a**hole and does not always have your best interests in mind :)... So I was like huh maybe I can try and find an Example of a plant that needs to be flushed.. I could not find one.. Not one other single plant I went through 25 search pages of Cannabis Articles, Cannabis Websites and “growers” websites that are obviously for Cannabis guys.. But I couldn't find a single mention of any other plant being flushed...I know that the Cannabis plant is beautiful and special but I mean no other plant on the planet?!?! all I searched for was “plant flush harvest.” I gave up after a while. “But my friend he grew stuff and didn't flush and it was awful..” Yes probably because it was awful(Too much nutrients) to begin with and flushing most likely wouldv'e just “cleaned it up”. So I guess that's a challenge to all you “research” guys out there if any of you can find any example of any other plant besides cannabis that needs to be flushed, I will flush my plants but if you can't... #flushtoiletsnotplants

So as beautiful as everything was progressing for the first like 8 weeks. The back two plants totally went off the rails.. They stretched a foot more then the other 2 plants. I used the lux readings to try and make the light as close as possible without going to high and still “spreading” the light to as many nodes as well. This is a big canopy and it is very hard to do certain things. Like getting a dead leave is an Acrobatic feat requiring patience and crawling. Evolving setup for sure. The Ultra Violet OG says never give up doing small changes to a plant. If it's telling you something isn't right, Keep trying to find that solution. The Ultra Violet OG has turned from a runt to the Tallest Lankiest kid in the tent lol. The blue cookies, what a freaking mess. I was spending a bit too much time with the small tent and not doing certain things in the big tent. So the Blue cookies what I did was “man handle” the plant and push a lot of the nodes away from the centre of the plant. This “opened” the centre of the plant and lots of small/grown nodes. Um I don't know if this would be a good idea for every plant. The plant is strong and healthy so it barely seemed to phase it. The Do Si Dos has stretched out as well. In retrospect having the two stretch together is about the best of a bad situation. Right now the light is mounted about 15 degrees off and right over top of the “small” plants. Trying to get as much light to as many nodes as possible. It's about 50k to 48” round of canopy. So it's fairly uniform and even across the canopy all things considered. The Zkittlez/Gorrila didn't really stretch I mean it did but when you compare them to the others not even in the same ball park. There is a lot there so hopefully it all turns out. Growing Cannabis should be very hands on. I spend 30-45 mins every few days in each tent just moving things around. This is a great way to inspect the canopy and too make sure there's nothing hiding underneath. Your plant isn't made of glass and “moving” thing around gently won't hurt it and can be very beneficial long term. Thanks for reading the ramblings of the mad half naked grower. The Fable of the Little boy and his tree There once was a boy whom lived in a village The people they farmed for food they did not pillage The little boy knew he had to learn to grow He ordered a seed and to the village a splendid tree he would show He waited and waited for the messenger to arrive He's soil was ready, he's nutrients full and his ambitions, a mile high The seed it arrived he jumped with glee He planted it at the front of the house for all to see It didn't grow fast, it didn't grow quick The little boy was worried to the village he'd look a dick The others of the village would look at his tree with dismay Where's the manifold? Where's the trimming? Are you growing hay? The little boy was alone with his tree he would cry He knew if he loved it, cared for it and gave it his best try That the plant would grow big, strong and wide With the love from the boy the seed grew in stride It got bigger and bigger the seed that started so small People came from far and wide to look at the tree so tall Those in the village asked what did you do? Did you use a special kind of poo? The little boy laughed and became one of the best growers in the Village His trees grew tall and his legend would last beyond his visage For he had learned the most important knowledge of all That Love is the most important nutrient of all

What a Question. I think ist required to have s sense of slef reflexion and Plantempathy to grow good weed. You have to have a Connection to your Plants, and see what is good for them and what is not so good. Technically seen i would say, The growmedium and the Lights are the most important Things for a grow.

Everything is looking great.. The Ultra Violet OG is storming into a 7 weekish finish definitely gonna be ready before any of the others in the tent. The Blue cookies is starting to get a wonderful color and everything is really. The dosidos isn't as colourful and the other three but the Trics are everywhere on her and she has a nice strong smell. The UV OG has some leaf damage and generally seems to be corrected with either a ph up or a Cal Mag boost. She is definitely a finicky Strain and seems to grow nicely but Hiccup easily.

7th week Of Flower Done Woot Woot Everything is starting to pick up in aroma and the buds are putting some mass/girth on. Not the hugest buds but there's lots of em. It's kind of fucking with my head having the other small tent two weeks ahead. It's a long time in terms of Cannabis and the buds look so big in the small tent. Now that I examine them again lol they actually look good, Nothing “huge” but there's so many and they are all stacking and bulking up nicely. We will see how it all turns out. This is Definitely a case of More buds Vs bigger buds lol, I'm in the lots of small buds camp this time around me thinks. But with the Tangie drying and the Bruce coming into what I will now call my Carbo/Rezin phase. I will have plenty of green going in jars and lots to smoke. I was halfway debating on upgrading my Cob light but they are working great I just just want a wider light print. I have decided for “Next” grow to purchase two t5 grow lights to run in the big tent. See if we can increase that overall yield. I like the idea a lot, it will increase the power draw by about 96watts but I'm thinking I'll be pulling quite a bit more from the leds in the corners and it's reasonably priced. Anyways just some thoughts and ideas thanks for reading guys and Happy Growing.

Week 8 Of Flower Done . They are all looking fairly Cloudy and developed trichomes. No amber yet but as soon as I see some light amber they get the chop. I prefer to keep potency and flavour. And I don't need coughing to know I'm smoking good weed. Yes I know all my buds have cat hair on them lol. I live in a tiny house and there are three cats.. It's virtually impossible to do anything about it. So I just pick them off before I smoke them and I love the kitty cats so small price to pay. You can see some leaf damage kind central to the canopy. I believe it was caused by a static fan.. My bad but I'm not too concerned and wasn't too concerned when I put it in there. Lots of buds here. Several really chunky ones and a whole wack ton of smaller ones. It'll be a great harvest. No estimates yet but it will be enough. Adding some smaller diode lights to the setup maximize light foot print and too really bump up my yield. The side bars will only help slighly but the Mars Hydro Sp 125 will put out a nice amount of extra light. Blue Cookies.. Wow Blue lots of Blue coming through, leaf damage on one side of the plant possibly wind or light burns. Not horrible concerned it isn't spreading fast and she looks great. Ultra Violet OG. She looks great lots of Leaf Damage but also the buds look the chunkiest. Lots of Trics and a nice minty aroma. A great looking lady and I'm looking forward to her. Do Si Dos. Smallest Buds kind of feel like she got crowded, she is a big reason I've decided to get more light. She has a lighter smell but looks fantastic with Trics everywhere. Zkittlez X GG. Smells Fantastic. Lots of light silver purple on the buds, She looks great. A very tiny amount of Red pistils and nice chunky looking buds. In Conclusion after 8 weeks of flowering very excited for the eventually chop lol. Getting Very Close now. I have an idea to build a new frame in the big tent/add some lights. The big tent is gonna be a fantastic grow space almost as excited to start the next one as I am to chop this one down. In a very real sense I don't actually know what I'm doing lol I have a very good idea of how to do this but in a sense a lot of this is Guess Work. I am learning 😁 quickly mind you but still learning, reading and researching.

Choppa Choppa. 2 dead ladies and a bunch of green drying in the Dry rack. I think I'm no longer gonna post my Yields. Just gonna keep it to myself. I'm not really here for anyone else but myself. There is a lot more to pot then your end yield and how much wattage you used. I'm gonna stop trying to be instructive or informative ha ha ha. This will literally just be what I'm doing with zero explaination. I'm tired of trying to put some spin or importance to it lol. I'm growing fucking plants it's not rocket science. Striving to keep it strong and in the "green zone" is a huge thing for experienced growers. If you can't understand why you should do this it's not worth explaining it to you. I know this grow is probably "best yield" so far. But I see a lot more so I'm a little pissed off at the whole situation. Anyways lots of fun this time around and fantastic learning experience. Next one will be better.

Tastes great. Uncured so a touch harsh. But holy when you've been smoking Sativas for three weeks do you feel that Indica difference. They finish fairly dense. There is a direct relationship between density and light intensity. I was not super happy about the Led position and the yield shows me why. Did the best with what I had.. The next grow will be Substantially better.

So the yield was directly affected by the light position.. 4 plants.. 4 different strains.. We have some different growing plants. The scrog did not work well for this at all. In the future I will use my scrogs again. But definitely will raise the height of the "big" one and kind of change the number of plants to fewer. In actuality this grow was closer to all LST rather then a scrog type situation. I just wanna say I did not add the 1/2 of the plant to the final total the tiny buds or buds that are two airy and light generally just all get added the sugar leaf pile. I don't trim perfectly I like leaving a bit of sugar on my nugs but I do things a bit differently and I will usually just pick sugar leaves off before I smoke the buds. So I don't know if you can imagine but there was a fuck ton pile of larf lol. No access to the lower nodes without really going to town on the plant.. I have a scrap pile of sugar leaves and stems I collect lol. Just trying to provide you guys with some info I am not here to boast only to show my progress and journey along the grows I do. I made up my mind before I ever even find growdiaries that I would be a forever grower so I'm just gonna keep popping them out. Cleaning things up, changing things and just having a good time with it. I love growing.

This was a huge girls with lots of larf.. From the two Plants I have over half a pound of dry small nugs/sugar leaves. Canopy shape and Light position fucked me this time around. I knew better but I was hoping for the best...

@Mrs_Larimar, Lol thanks a lot Larimar. I try to be humorous, a little entertaining and informative. I do love my plants 😁 . I think I told you one time in pm I get sad😥 when I chop them and I do lol. A part of me is like don't kill this thing, it's so pretty and nice. But putting stuff on the scales is like another fun part of the adventure lol. Not even gonna get into smoking the plants I grow, that'd be like another paragraph or two lol.

I do it like you do and asolutely agree. I only do " naked flush"( only with water) if i have excesses or a builtup.. that means maybe one or 2 times a year . So iam using water, kelp, molasses p+k , and humic acid the most Time. Your Girls look very good!!!. and i agree , very good canopy shape

To be honest, I really appreciate it when people are honest about their yields. It's a good way to keep hobby growers like ourselves hopeful and motivated to keep growing. When some people are like, "yep, I got a kilo dried from this one plant," it's enough to make the rest of us want to just throw it all away and give up. I've been looking at a lot of large yields on this site too, and I have to say that you can see that some of the people are obviously just bullshitting. So if any of you who are reading this like to falsify your dry weights, just so you know, we all know you are lying.

@MovingOn, I agree. I do a lot of smiling if i read some dryweighs…. But some PPl pretend to lie to themselves...😝

@MovingOn, Dude you just made up my mind and my day really thank you. I will post my yields for guys like you. I mean to me in hindsight it's kind of obvious what happened with the Back 2 they kind of got crowded out and the top buds didn't get that light intensity they need. I was having a bad day and I forget sometimes that their are still honest folks and for some it isn't just about ego. It's about learning. And you are right it's so obvious some times that yields are overinflated... I won't name names but some pretty savage examples Iv'e seen. And I was kind of like in that head space where I'm like shit if a lot of folks are dishonest then what's the point. You brought me out of the head space. Thanks dude your awesome and I'm glad we get a chance to "grow" together 😁👍

More buds or Bigger Buds.....well thats the Question. But in the end i say Quality buds…. lol.... because they ended in beeing grinded….So if you smoke the blunt you cant tell me if it was a big bud or asmaller of the many buds….But the taste tells everything

@Mrs_Larimar, I have no fenced yard so I am very wary of growing anything "special" outdoors I would throw a clone or two out. We have a lot of bears in the area and wild life. And we also have a lot of hippy stoners in the area and someone stealing my outdoor grow would probably "break" me lol. So I stick to inside safe but with out the awesome powers of the Sun. I think if I was gonna do a "room" it would get rather expensive I'd want it sealed up properly and with quality ventilation. Legalized growing is fantastic and I am lucky to live where I do. I'm sure if I smelled enough houses in my neck of the woods I'd be smell growing cannabis all over the place 😁 … So many things to consider when growing Cannabis and I'm glad having the police come and take my shit is no longer a possibility in my country. I can only hope that one day every country in the world will be Smart enough to make the right choice and Legalize.... Honestly I forget a lot of people don't have the luxuries and freedoms we do.

You are kind of funny 😀 You are doing hydroponics, topping and training and ask for the most simplistic approach. Quite some contradiction... Have a look at my first grow for the KISS approach. I'm lazy and unexperienced, so want to keep things as simple as possible. This means: 1. Grow in soil. But buy some good soil! No need to monitor pH or EC and reduced risk of overwatering. And it will provide the best aroma. 2. Use organic nutrients. Very low risk of overdosing. Simply follow the recommendations of the manufacturer. They have decades of experience and cannot be totally off. 3. Do not train. I'm still not convinced this will guarantee some bigger yield. Main argument for topping and LST is the even canopy. But many newbies are still failing on this one, break some stems and in the end the canopy is not that even anyway. By using multiple small lights instead of a single huge one you can compensate for an uneven canopy. So in the end you only need to get the watering right. I'm very happy with the results and see no reason to make it any more complicated. Unless you enjoy it of course 😉

@Buddha2, I really like growing in Hydro... I really like my results and don't mind the work. I don't see a point in growing in soil if I already have all the hydro stuff (It's expensive). When I grow plants in soil now, they are my "b grade" plants that I won't put as much attention or effort into and the results speak for themselves 😁. It's all relative as well, lots of dirt guys put in tons of work (testing ph and run off). I say I spend about 2-3 hours every week which is not to shabby at all in my mind. The hardest part of hydro is setting things up. My question was satire lol. I guess sarcasm is lost in translation.. Was a joke Question.

hohoho…… Harvest is near- Foogin frosty ( a Little x-mas Feeling here) and yes Hairs in the buds….. well and everywhere to be trru… Thats the Price we Pay Living with our " FurBabies"......
Darkwarsongs
Darkwarsongscommented5 years ago
@Mrs_Larimar, Yes and I do love my Fur babies. I'm gonna try to get better filtration for the tents and open the tents less often ha ha ha. Very Frosty it's like Christmas but hard work paying off is so much better then free presents lol. My plant positions relative to the light made me learn a great deal more about how I should be setting up my tent. I wasn't a huge fan of the scrog because after I certain point I couldn't do anything. But another great learning grow lol.. There are all learning grows and next one will be even better. Thank you for reading and commenting always appreciated. 😁

Athos
Athoscommentedweek 105 years ago
Simplest way of growing would be to grow outdoors, you only need a big pot, good soil and water and a couple of seeds. Next step up, would be a simple indoor setup: just choose a light type and and exhaust. Everything else is optional, although many things are recommended: like a carbon filter. Keep in mind that good soil and a big enough pot will save you the trouble of using bottled nutes.

Darkwarsongscommented5 years ago
@@Athos, Sorry was a satire question. thank you for answering though. I plan on growing outdoors as well I mean I already have just am not right now 😟. I love growing indoor hydro I really do there's no "troubles" anywhere lol 😁

Garden is looking awesome! That canopy is a thing of pure envy! I agree with you about flushing Cannabis. I know a grower that flushes for 2 weeks before harvest and another "old-timer" who never flushes... And both of their buds taste amazing. I flush because, like you said, it makes me feel good and i tell myself that it's good, even though it's based on nothing more than wishful thinking. I do know that a fair number of commercial hydroponic growers of things like lettuce, mint and tomatoes do periodic flushes but my understanding is that it has more to do with flushing and cleaning the delivery system of dried nutrients/salt buildup, rather than for any reasons of taste or final quality of the produce. I'd be curious if anyone can find info on commercial food producers who flush for "increased quality". I can't wait to see your garden in full bloom... Especially that Blue Cookies 😍. Looks amazing! 👍
Darkwarsongs
Darkwarsongscommented5 years ago
@VanCplGrows, Thank you very much. It's definitely shaping up to be an Impressive haul. I totally understand the need to "flush" the system of the nutrients in hydro systems and I do this weekly(tip for all you new folks). I like how you know two different growers doing different things with the same end results. With you as the end user being like both are good ha ha ha. I would love to hear from any Commercial food grower really, especially the ones that eat their own produce lol. I'm looking quite forward to seeing the garden in full bloom as well 😁
the end.
