First grow so here we go!
Seeds started germination 3rd jan 2020. Wasnt expecting much for a few days. I started off the seedlings under a 600w led light which was a pain to keep the temperature and humidity stable without using 3 heat tubes (2x80w) (1x120w) so ditched the lot and went straight in with the 315w cdm which keeps everything perfect on it's own.
Both getting watered with bottled water with 0.1ml of biobizz ph down.
Purchased plant magic nutrients. I'll update the dosages as we go. Sticking to PM guidelines on dosages.
At day 5 both had started to stretch being in dark airing cupboard so they have both now been moved to the tent.
Stay tuned.
Last week a couple of stems were going soft mid stem and becoming paper thin. Leaves all looked healthy. I think it was maybe a sign of over watering? Seems to be ok now but stunted the plant for about 5 days give or take. Would just like a rough idea to the causes.
Looks like you had or have nutrient lockout. There is signs of overdose in your leaves. Give your poorly girls a nice heavy flush if you haven't already and lay off the nutes for a week. Start adding in small doses. Try adjusting your pH level. Do you check the soil pH too? 👍🌱
Im a little concerned. The plant was dried for 8 days to the point the stems were just about to snap/ crack. Now it's all been harvested into jars the smell isnt filling me with confidence. Should I expect the smell to mature with the next few weeks?
Minimum 30 day cure, then see where you stand. I find cured buds lose some of that strong smell when in the peak of flower.
And if it tastes like it smells, then even better bonus when done.
Like the above growers said it will improve with time as the cure goes on
I've been told to dry trim also to help avoid any hay type smell
Wet trimming apparently gives a hay smell
