Will only grow these in veg as mothers to clone from, to see them go full cycle you must wait to I start the diary growing the clones that will come from these.
Day 1. I germinate according to FastBuds germination technique.
1-3 days in tap water + 2 drops of hydrogen peroxide.
After they hatched and sprouted a ~10mm tail I transplant them to a Rockwol cube, approximately 5mm deep. When break surface I transplant them to their permanent home in their hydroponics buckets.
But let's take it step by step as we go, so I don't get to far ahead of myself...
Enjoy, I know I will...
Day 2. All 5 seeds hatched already and showing a 2-3mm white tail. Most likely tomorrow will be a transplant to Rockwol cubes. The reason I completely skip to place them on a plate between moist tissue is that the tails spiral in all directions like a pigs p*nis and it makes it more difficult to place in Rockwol cubes when the root tail is "all over the place". I prefer my root tails 5-10mm and straight as an arrow :)
Day 3. 4/5 seeds show tail of ~8mm, 1 show tail of 3mm.
Transplanted into Rockwol cubes and wait for them to brake surface.
Day 5. Transplanted 3 of the plants into their permanent home. Will wait for the 2 last to catch up.
Nothing much happened this week in terms of growth or root development. Eager to see some roots reaching for water soon.
I can't really believe they're still alive, water temp is 29°C, but it do explain the slow growth progress. Will change the ac in asap, but for now it is what it is :(
Tried LST for the first time, as can see I don't know what I'm doing but based on some research this does the job even though there's other methods that is way less damaging to the leaves.
Will be better prepared to do it properly next time, this just happened on a whim.
I subjected her to my version of "light" HST this week (i.e. I snap the stem ~20cm from the top so it's broken but attached, then I massage/twist the broken stem between my fingers until it's crushed and soft, but I don't tip them 90° instead I leave them standing tall). I normally tip them 90° bit this is something I started to do recently and it's more convenient with bushy tight plants (imo).
Bud sites exploding all over this beautiful little bush. Let's hope they cluster up nicely n form long big buds.
The roots has finally formed a base that can produce some quality buds.
No signs of deficiencys or over feeding, so except some light lollipopping n defoliation I'm just gonna let my girl do her thing for now...
(Correction) There was defoliation, light is perhaps not the right word... I might have gone a little overboard with my scissor hands... Let's see how she responds in the next few days...
Was forced to harvest this grow a week early. Not really, it's fully matured but I would've preferred to let her go full 9 weeks as breeders specs stipulates instead of "only" 8 weeks.
I was expecting the buds to be at least twice as big and thick, but that shadow falls on me for allowing too much fuckery regarding AC's shut downs and long power surges. This girl soldiered thru all of my bs and she still stood tall and proud. Could definitely see myself filling my room with this strain in the future.
