Clones cut and rooted this week. Roots were showing on day 5-7 depending on the cut. Used clonex rooting gel and planted directly into happy frog soil mixed with perlite. Watered clones in and cut water bottles to use for humidity domes.
Very little growth, good root development so far. Hoping at least one of the clones makes it. I know I take tiny clones, only truly expected the larger clone to root.
Took one more clone from my mother plant just in case the other two don’t make it. Clone 1 doesn’t appear to be yellowing any further now and still has strong roots. Some very small new green growth has appeared on clone 1 as well.
Clone 2 is nearly dried up but has good roots and a bit of green on it so I’m keeping it in the tent for now.
Clone 3 is the greenest clone and has not rooted at all yet.
Clone 2 really took off this week, stalk strengthened up and new vegetative growth is on the top. Leaves are turning green again rather than yellowing. It has been moved into full strength lighting as it was reaching towards the light.
Clone 1 still looks the same but has not died away. I am just letting it sit in the tent until it dies off or grows. Wasn’t worth picturing.
Clone 3 is still super green, not sure if it has roots or not. I’ve been keeping a humidity dome on it and taking it off for hours at a time without it wilting. Some of the leaves appear to be drying a bit.
Clone 1 finally shriveled up all the way.
Clone 2 still had some yellowing on its leaves but really started to grow this week. Not sure if it’s going to go through a full reveg or not but this one is for sure rooted and growing good now.
Clone 3 is rooted but hasn’t started to grow yet. Roots seem to be getting larger each day.
Clones looks stressed. Revegging and throwing all kinds of weird growth. Only feeding water this week, planted in happy frog/perlite mix. Repotted the larger clone into a 3 gallon container.
Continuing to throw pistils and show weird growth. Leaves are turning colors and twisting. I’m unsure if this is a nutrient issue or if it’s a reveg issue. All other plants seem okay, will continue feeding only water since I repotted back into happy frog soil last week.
Smaller clone is entering a reveg state as well now that it’s rooted. I Will likely have to repot that plant at the end of this week.
Plants continue to throw out strange growth as they attempt to reveg. The larger clone appears to be beginning to have true vegetative grow again and is starting on three finger leaf sets. The smaller clone is growing single and double bladed leaves as well as pistils.
Defoliated the larger clone- new growth is looking much better!
Took off single and double blades leaves. Reveg growth continues to look less and less like flowering growth. Repotted the smaller clone into a 5 gallon smart pot with a mix of happy frog soil, perlite and peat moss. Feeding plants once a week now.
This plant is super bushy since it came off a flowering plant. I will be taking clones off this plant.
I decided to stop growing for a while. I am going to finish all the current grows and take a clone off every strain in the tent and Hermie one to fertilize all the female clones. This should produce feminized seeds if I do this right. I’m not sure which strain to make Hermie to father the seeds just yet, I will use one of the hybrid strains. Likely either white widow or purple trainwreck. The larger clone is still in the veg tent still for now.
Moved into the flowering tent... running out of room and need to get these girls flowering.
Defoliated and put under the ScrOG net, hopefully I won’t have to defoliate her too heavily. Stretch has started, no pistils yet but she had just went into reveg so I suspect her to throw pistils again pretty soon. Lots and lots of branches on this little plant since the cutting she originally came from was off a flowering mother plant.
Lollipopped the widow x clones since they’re monster cropped clones. Lots of defoliation. All plants are in 12/12; I no longer have a veg tent. I do not have room to allow the plants to continue to veg.
After smoking some of the mother widow x plant; I firmly believe it is white widow. The seed I originally planted came from a mixture of berry white and white widow. I wasn’t sure which bud the seed had come from so we labeled it “widow x”.
One of the bag seeds in the larger tent is male. Looks like I won’t have to Hermie a clone after all to get seeds. Moved the larger purple trainwreck plant into the smaller tent since it only has 2-3 weeks left of flower.
White widow was moved to the larger tent away from the male... as was the younger purple trainwreck plant. The plant in the back left corner is another widow x clone, the tallest plant is Pineapple Express, widest is purple trainwreck and the middle is what I think is berry white.
She’s in the small tent now with the more mature PT plant. Once I harvest the PT, this big girl will get the entire 2x3 tent. I think she will fill in nicely and has shown lots of vigor. Nice even tops for the most part with a few smaller branches straggling behind. The PT is almost ready to chop and then it’s this one’s time to shine. I haven’t been feeding her heavily, I may up her nutes soon. The other white widow clone in the larger tent was lollipopped as well as monster cropped like this one was so I’m excited to compare the two techniques side by side to see which buds I like better.
I selectively crossed all female strains with my male plant who is in a separate room from the girls. Branches marked with a green tie are pollinated. The male was originally in the tent these girls are in so I’m hoping I removed him in time. If not I may have some random seeds in these buds. I did spray the tent down between plants but I’m unsure if water really renders pollen unviable.
Regardless, seeds are a good thing... all these girls are in flower because it is my last grow. Here’s to hoping I get decent bud and some neat seeds for the future whenever I am able to grow again. 🌱👩🌾🏼
Seeing seed development on the branches I pollinated. I chopped the male after only a few pods busted and froze pollen to try and save some for future use if needed.
A few more weeks to go, plan on feeding another 2-3 weeks at least. The mother plant these clones came off of re-vegged during the flowering cycle and gave us spindly, airy buds. The bud development on these clones are already significantly better than last grow.
Lots of progress this week. Harvested my oldest purple trainwreck plant and moved the white widow into the ScrOG net in her place. Hoping for a big yield from this younger plant.
The lollipopped older plant is starting to swell, I’m thinking she has about 3-4 weeks left. I harvested the mother plant on day 70 and she had a nice smooth smoke that was great for the day.
Here’s to hoping for a good yield. Happy growing! 👩🌾🏼🌱
Getting bigger and bigger, I’m expecting big yields off the ScrOGed plant. The plant in the big tent is beginning to fatten up, especially the bud that was pollinated... both are still shooting new pistils everyday. The mother plant was cut around day 70 but I’m thinking these could go further than that, only time will tell!
Chopping the older white widow this week! Younger ww has a few more week.
Older, smaller plant was lollipopped and a lot of the buds didn’t pack on weight. The younger, smaller plant seems like it will have denser buds. Excited to see how these plants turn out!
Absolutely loved growing this clone. Cloned off a flowering mother plant and then lollipopped, didn’t get very dense but the buzz I feel from this plant is perfect.
I love growing this strain, I haven’t been able to get the density I want so far growing white widow but I think I may get that density with the next plant. Love the strain, makes me feel energized and talkative but creative as well.
