Hello everyone,
This is my first grow started, super exciting!! I've put a 90*90 tent with a Mars Hydro TS1000 and finally it is time to start the experience.
I've decided to plant 4 sativas - as I vape sativas 99%. So I have 2 NL Diesel autos from Canna seeds that I picked up in Amsterdam at their store and 2 Super Silver Haze autos from Zambeza.
The 2 NL Diesels were germinated perfectly and got used to the soil pretty smooth. I have a few day difference between them. The 2 youngest plants (got into the soil 2 days ago) are the Super Silver Haze Autos. Unfortunately I left these 2 seeds germinate a little too long. As a result they had long roots and it was tricky to place the roots into the soil without breaking them and cover them from all side etc... As a result one of my Super SIlver Haze seems to suffer and couldn't get strong enough to stand up. Today I took her out and repositioned. She already broke the covering soil so I am positive. The other SSHA happily made it so far.
Unfortunately the second Super Silver Haze seed didn't make it. I realized during my investigatation that she couldn't open her leaves because a peel was still holding it together. I germinated another SSHA so now it is full house again. The other SSHA and the NL Diesels are growing good. I've planted them in grow mix so they supposly have enough food till next week. This week I also realised that my light is not enough for all 4 plants so I ordered another Mars Hydro TS1000. I will nicely install it on the other side of the tent and 1 light will focus on 2 plants only for maximum plant happiness and yield.
1 of the NL Diesels (Nr. II) started to get yellow spots on her. A quick google search helped me to identify nitrogen defiency so decided to start feeding the 3 'older' plants. They responded very well, I only seen a little shock on the youngest (SSH I) of them. My second SSH has to wait a little more for the food, she is a seedling yet. I started to give them more water too, it is now 1 l/ plant (except the seedling, she is on 0,5 l). After the feeding they started to get super strong and I decided it is time to start LST the 2 NL Diesels. Nl Diesel I took it very well and I can already see new grows at the lower areas as well. The second one was impossible to train and to cover lower parts in light, I decided to cut off one of the fan leaves. I know it is a very contriversal topic but I want to compare the results with and without the cut.
On the technical side, I've got the second Mars Hydro TS1000 in the tent now as well and unfortunately my monkey fan stopped oscilating :( I will have to email the store to see if they can replace it for me, it has been purchased just a month ago.
The biggest acheievment of the week is that the older Super Silver Haze started to pre flower. Eventho is not the oldest from the grow, she is the biggest and maturing very quick. I am expecting the last strech in the coming 2 weeks before the bud development.
I think it was too much fertlizer for the girls this last time. After the first feed I watered once only with PH balanced water. Now I watered without food twice. I will try to cut it to 3 ml / l next.
The 2 youngest, Super Silverhazes now flowering. The 2 NL Diesel is still in veg tho, I expected them to be done first - interesting!!!
And.....little trouble this week.
Seems they either need calcium/ magniesium or there is a PH issue/ lock out in the soil because all of them started to show deficiency signs. Since I didn't give them any calmag, first I will try that. It should arrive tomorrow so hopefully issue will be fixed. Otherwise I have to flush the soil....Let's wait and see.
Flushed the soil at the end, tips were all burned out on the Super Silver Haze's so I obviously overfed.
Seems it is not getting worse.
NL Diesels have no signes of flowering.
Alright, today is day 63 for the first Super SIlver Haze Auto and the other one is 5 days behind. I wanted to see the difference between an early and later harvest so I harvested 3 branches already from the older plant.
The NL Diesels are still vegging, I will exclude them from the diary as after the autos are done they will need 2-3 more months to flower.
Harvested the first SSH auto on her 65th day, she had a few amber trichomes. It might be early but I want to see the difference between the effects of the different harvest times. In a few days I will take down the second one too, once the trichomes are around 30% amber.
Oooh and lollipopped the photop. plants. Once the SSH is out, the light will be swiched to 12/12 for them.

@Zambeza, thank you guys, will try to keep the babies happy. And you also deserve a super special shout out for creating an auto version of the amazing Susper SIlver Haze - my overall favorite strain. 🙏
@IndiCat, thank you! 👍 Good info, I will be keeping an eye on your diary and try to steal all the tips and tricks 😎 - as a first grower it is super convenient.
